Author's note - A huge thanks and lots of pocky to my reviewers:
IKMS (first reviewer, thank you so much!)
McSlave44 (yes I agree a good Kagome bash is nice once in awhile...lol)
AngelsRebellion (yes I know Kagome is a bit OOC, but it works well in the story, plus they are talking about the future Kagome.)
nased0(The war was started buy outside influences, not youkai so it could not be prevented, it was the `Act of Faith' that was detrimental to their kind, they could get support from the past as Koden has hinted at Sesshomaru in Chapter 2 to 'watch one of his more shady marshals.' But it's up to them to take the hints.)

Many thanks again all, I am right into this story, and hopefully I will have chapters out faster now that I am receiving reviews. Enjoy All!

Last Time:

Kyohaku stomped out the small fire and hoisted Koden from the ground bridal style. “Don't care; I'll deal with it if it comes to that. She needs to be out of the night air right now.” He grunted as he began to walk. “You coming Dad?” he questioned without thinking. Kouga smirked and walked beside him.

`Oh hell yes, if I get to see that mutt face off with his daughter and my son, this should be good.'

And Kouga grinned the whole way while talking with Kyohaku about his time.

Kouga along with Kyohaku carrying Koden slowly made their way through the dense forest. Slowing as they came up to the edge of the village clearing Kouga spoke in a quiet manner.

“Stay here and I will see if the village idi… I mean Guardian is here. You'll know if he is cause there will be a lot of yelling and crashing.” Kouga laughed lightly. “We don't get along to well.”

Kyohaku nodded as he hoisted Koden closer to him as she shivered in his arms. He watched as Kouga sniffed the air lightly and began to walk out of the tree line towards the village. He then turned his attention to Koden; he slowly knelt down and sat her on the ground. He unhooked her helmet and facial gear from her belt and began to put it on her.

`If we do run into her younger parents, at least this way they won't be able to pinpoint who she is right off the hop.' He sighed.

He wished Koden's parents had stayed strong like his did, but from the stories he was told, maybe Kagome did have enough of fighting. Commander Inuyasha was always itching for a fight, if it was for a just cause. He snapped out of his thoughts as he slide is helmet and mask over his face. He stood with Koden and listened for Kouga's signal it was fine for him to come. Then he heard it, a short whistle, followed by another signaling the ok.

He moved swiftly through the village following the scent of his father. He came up to a hut where his father was standing cross armed with an older woman. She wore miko's clothes and had a patch over her eye. He sniffed her lightly.

“Kyohaku, this is Kaede, the village healer. She will look over you and Koden. I have to go from the village, the scent of fear is strong here.” He spoke while waving his hands in front of him trying to disperse the scent. “I'll be close by, just whistle when the guardian comes if I don't smell him first.” He smirked. And with that he disappeared in the direction of the forest covered with a flurry of wind.

“Ye are not of this time.” Kaede stated, not questioning. He shook his head in agreement.

“Come in, let me check her over if you are worried.” She said while motioning them to follow her inside the small hut. Kyohaku followed carrying Koden; he stepped inside and laid her down on the futon where Kaede directed him to. Kyohaku laid her out and covered her with both survival blankets and the blanket that Kaede had for him. He then turned and knelt by the fire and bowed lightly to Kaede.

Kyohaku slowly took off his head gear and then spoke slowly to Kaede. “We are not from this time Lady Kaede. We have heard many stories about you and this village. I am not easily fooled as my younger father might think. I know who the guardian is, it's Commander Inuyasha.” He sighed. “I will keep Koden's gear on until we are gone in the morning, I just needed some place for her for the night, and I have the medicines that will help.”

Kaede's eyes widened in surprise as he spoke of his younger father. “So you are the son of the wolf demon prince?” she questioned. “Yes I am, and you or the village will not be in danger with me being here. We are just resting for the night and then going. We need to find away back to our time, we have a war to complete with the other commanders and the general.” He spoke as he sprinkled a powder on the fire which made it flare for a moment and then sent out intense heat to wipe the chill out of Kaede's hut.

Kaede watched as he dug out a small instrument from his vest pocket and held it over Koden. “What is that?” she questioned quietly while pointing at the instrument. “This is field medical advisor,” he explained but didn't look away from the device, “It lets us scan soldiers who have been injured in the field and tells us exactly what we need to do.” Suddenly the device beeped and Kyohaku growled loudly. Kaede watched as he suddenly pulled up the blankets covering her left leg, sniffing he followed her leg down till he stopped and growled. There was a tear in her pants and blood. He undid her boot laces and slid it off, then gently pushed her pant leg up.

“It's some kind of poisonous thorn. This plant is extinct in our time; I don't carry antivenom for it.” Kyohaku spoke with a panicked voice. “Calm yourself child,” Kaede chided gently, “I have the herbs for it, let me see the thorn.” Kyohaku pulled the thorn out with his claws, making Koden wince and moan in her fevered sleep. He handed it to Kaede who inspected it, “This would be easier in daylight.” She sighed lightly. Kyohaku then reached in his thigh pocket and brought out a small flashlight, turned it on and shone it on the thorn in Kaede's hand. “Thank ye.” She said absently while she inspected it. Kaede nodded and walked to a corner in her hut and brought back a small packet of herbs.

Kyohaku sniffed lightly as he watched Kaede mash the herbs into a moist paste and apply it to Koden's leg. Kyohaku then wrapped it so he could pull her pant leg back down and put Koden's heavy military boot back on. “There is no need to do that child.” Kaede added quietly.

“Kaede, no offense, but in my time, being caught unprepared means you are dead, and if Koden's younger parents come hopping by, we won't be staying, she doesn't want or need to see her younger mother.” He stated sharply.

“Who is…” Kaede started to ask, but Kyohaku interrupted her. “Come on Kaede, you can't be that dense as to whom her parents are. You know what this is a bad idea, I'm taking her to the forest, and I don't need to be caught off guard in a small area.” He stood up and started to repack the items he had out of their place. Kyohaku turned to Kaede and bowed, “Thank you Lady Kaede for the herbs and the place for awhile to warm us.” Kyohaku then stooped low and picked Koden back up and headed out the door. Just before he was out the door her took a long sniff and then spoke. “Your guardian is back.” And with that he was gone. She heard a long whistle followed by a short howl, she then smiled to herself.

`If Kagome's daughter doesn't even want to see her, this should prove interesting when they do meet.'

Kyohaku ran through the village that almost matched Kouga's, sniffing the air to gauge the time he had to make sure he was clear before the younger version of Inuyasha caught up with their scent. He got to the forest edge and found Kouga again.

“Don't have much time, guardian is back,” he panted between breaths as Kouga sniffed to affirm his statement. “Come on there is a stream near by, we'll camp out, mutt-face will find us if we're that big of a problem.” He said gruffly. “Let me carry her, you need to rest incase he shows.”

Kyohaku nodded grudgingly, while handing over Koden to Kouga. He snapped his head back when he heard a soft moan from her. “Koden,” he whispered, “My dad's got you, we have to move again, you're younger parents are in the area.” Koden's eyes fluttered open and she nodded. She grunted as she squirmed out of Kouga's arms and spoke with her broken voice.

“No offence Big K, but the only one who holds me like that is my mate.” Kouga shrugged his shoulders then grinned. He took her one arm and wrapped it around his neck while Kyohaku did the same to the other. Koden shuffled her feet in the dirty, slowly walking with Kouga and Kyohaku to the stream bank.

They sat Koden down on a near by log as both men set up camp for the night, Kouga watching in amazement as Kyohaku lit a fire with a small flare stick and then set up the silver survival blankets for Koden to lay down on. Once she was settled, he sprinkled the same powder as her did in Kaede's hut which let the fire give off twice the heat while burning the wood at the same rate. He watched as Koden pulled three energy bars out of her vest, she handed one to Kyohaku and offered one to Kouga, who sniffed it and passed.

Kyohaku went and ran the perimeter of the camp to make sure they were safe for the time being before bunking down for the night. He sat close to the fire and looked over to Koden who was sleeping.

`The more rest she gets the faster those herbs will work. We should get more to take back with us.'

His thoughts snapped to a halt when Kouga spoke. “You should rest, from what you have told me, you went from a strong battle into this time without resting. I'll watch over you tonight, and I will alert you if anything happens.” Kyohaku nodded and yawned while shifting to lie down beside Koden.

A few hours later Kyohaku and Koden awoke to a smoldering ember fire and Kouga barking at someone. Kyohaku sat bolt upright and took a deep breath. “Kuso! Koden it's your old man and…” he started but Koden interrupted him by putting a finger on his lips. She nodded towards the direction the yelling match was coming from and slipped on her mask and helmet. Kyohaku did the same and stood beside her. She quietly signaled for him to follow and they ran towards the ensuing fight.

They came up on Kouga showing his admiration to a much younger teenage Kagome while Inuyasha was seething off to the side. Koden smirked, and walked into the shadows close to the fray without being detected. “Kyo baby, get Kyoushu ready, round about attack on three. I want to see how fast they really are.” She smirked as she unsheathed Koudou. Kyohaku snorted over the radio but readied Kyoushu.

Both soldiers took off running in opposite directions. “Get ready Kyo!” Koden barked at him. She yelled out to Kouga, “Big K get down!”

“One…” both soldiers set their weapons into motion as Koden counted over the radio, “Two…” Koden smirked as Kyohaku readied his scythe to be released, “Three!” Kouga hit the dirt as Inuyasha and Kagome stood their stunned as they watched the two strangers circle ready for an attack. Simultaneous bellows of “Twin Dragon Death!” and “Kyoushu!” where heard as well as a teenage shriek and the infamous war cry of “Wind Scar!”

Koden and Kyohaku stood side by side within the fury of the Wind Scar, smirking under their masks. Kouga looking stunned as he watched the soldiers from the future with stand the attack so easily. He then grinned.

`Leave it to my pup to withstand his attack. It's not like it even fazes them, must be the armor.'

The younger versions of Inuyasha and Kagome stood there stunned as they watched the two soldiers from the future, stand in the fury. Kouga came to stand beside them and smirked.

“Not bad for pups eh mutt? Good thing one of them is mine.” He grinned at Inuyasha. But he was still fixed on the two in the Wind Scar. Kagome `eeped' as she saw the two slid off their face protection, and faced her. Both gave wolfish grins, showing off their fangs. The Wind Scar finally subsided as they began to walk over to the threesome.

“Sorry for surprising you Big K.” Koden spoke laughing. Kyohaku snorted. “It's ok Koden.” He grinned back. “Hey mutt-face, met my boy, Kyohaku.” He beamed as he slapped Kyohaku on the back. Kyo stepped forward and bowed slightly while grinning. “Commander.”

“And this fiery young lady...” Kouga started. “Big K, I got this,” Koden interrupted, “I'm Koden, how you doing old man?” Koden smirked as she slide of her helmet, releasing her hair and letting her ears twitch freely. Inuyasha for once was stunned into silence.

AN - I had to divide this encounter into two parts cause it's just too good to jam it into one long winded chapter. Next is an interlude, going to let us peek back into the future to see how everyone is holding up after the two disappear before I continue with this encounter...Hehehe. I know I'm evil. Love the reviews;I'll answer the questions as best as I can!
Keep them coming!
