Here Comes the Bride
Scene 1-The Terms-Monday
Monday morning found Sango and her lawyer at the downtown office of Hidinni productions. They were there on time and everything seemed to be going as planned except on thing…Hidinni hadn't showed up! Sango was furious, as she and the two lawyers sat around silently staring at each other. Sat night she had slept peacefully, something she hadn't done since finding out about Kohaku's illness. Sunday night had brought a little seed of doubt to her mind and she has pushed it away. But when she'd woke up this morning her mind had been on full panic mode. Had she made a deal with the devil? And just what were these terms and conditions he was talking about? On a small huff she glanced down at her watch and saw that it was 9:10. If he didn't show up in five more minutes she was walking…the hell with him! As if she had conjured him up the door opened and he breezed in looking bright and refreshed.

“Good morning all. Excuse my tardiness. The oddest thing happened I actually woke up late.” He took his seat behind his desk and steepled his hands together before addressing them again. “Okay we can begin.” In reality he wasn't feeling as calm as he looked. He had tossed and turned the pervious night which was not like him in the least. The enormity of what he was about to do had finally hit him. Was he making the right decision. And was Sango with her cool demeanor and detached ways the woman to do it with? He wasn't used to her type. While that intrigued part of him the other part wanted nothing to do with her.

“Well, I've informed my lawyer of the little I know and was waiting on you to fill in the blanks.” Sango couldn't help the fact that her voice came out frosty. For a minute she had thought he had stood her up, gave her false hope for Kohaku, which she would have never forgiven him for.

“Of course. Listen carefully and I'll explain it as simply as I can. In my family we have a rather weird tradition. The oldest male must marry no later then the age of 28 and produce a child by the age of thirty. It's all very weird but mainly has something to do with preserving the blood line and the family name.” Miroku had down played the whole thing and left out the little detail of a cruse…that just might freak her out. Sango for her part was taking it pretty well…she just thought he was nuts!

“So…what will happen if you don't marry and have a child by 30?” She asked.

“The usual, I'll be disowned and bring great shame to my family. They take this matter very seriously.”

“Part of the deal then would be for me to give you a child?” Sango had never thought of having kids, she already had Kohaku and the thought now was throwing her for a loop.

“Yes, the first condition would be for you to stay married to me for at least two years. In that time you would do everything in your power to get pregnant and birth at least one child for me, before I reach 30.” Miroku was looking at her closely trying to gage her reaction. “Do you agree to this first term? If not then there's nothing further for us to discuss.”

Sango wished she had something to throw at him. How could she not agree if this was a deal breaker? And how dare he spring this on her now! That should have been the first thing out his mouth Saturday night. She bit her lip as she remembered that the question had included something about having children. Damn, she couldn't quite call him a liar…yet.

“This is all very strange…but what choice do I really have. Yes I'll agree to the first term.”

“Good very good. Now after you have given me a child it will be totally up to you if you want to divorce after that. I'm a fair man so I'll leave it in your hands. Also of course before we get married I'll need proof that you're not barren.”

“What!”

“You know that you can actually have kids. It can be done with a simple test done by doctors. If you like I can set that up for you.” Miroku said kindly having no clue that she sat across from him seething. Sango couldn't help it. The nerve! Plus it grated on some primal female part of her that he could even suggest that she couldn't do what her body was made to do, which was have a baby!

“Okay…fine, I'll have a test and the results to you no later then Wednesday. What's next?” She asked snappishly, wanting to get this whole meeting over with.

“Well, other then that, nothing much. You will be afforded all rights befitting my wife. Of course you will have to be faithful to me while we remain married. I can't take the chance of you getting pregnant by someone else.”

“Perish the thought. Well, I have some demands myself.” Miroku knew this was coming and planned to give her whatever she wanted as long as it was reasonable.

“Go ahead, I'm listening.”
”I want to keep my last name.”
”No.”

“Why not?” She said hostile.

“Because this whole thing is about keeping the Hidinni name alive. Besides, you're to be my wife in every manner. I'm an important man, how would it look if my wife to have a different last name.”

“I didn't think it would matter, I mean this will only be a marriage in name only.”

“Yes but it needs to appear that way too. What were you planning? To marrying me and go back to your apartment and life like nothing had happened?” He said jokingly.

“Yes I was. I don't see why we need to live together.” Miroku lost his smile. Did she find him so disgusting she couldn't stomach the thought of living with him? He was starting to get mad. Most women would have fainted with excitement if he had asked them to marry them, and here she was acting like it was a sacrifice of a lifetime.

“Unacceptable, I will expect you to live under my roof. As I said for appearance sake plus it will make it easier when we try to…conceive.” Sango couldn't suppress the shiver of dread that comment caused her and he saw it. His eyes narrowed and the smile that he wore when he was trying to hide how mad he was played on his lips.

“No I refuse to give up my apartment, I'll need it after I divorce you.”

“Oh, so you're sure you plan to.”
”Yes. Look, I'll transfer all my clothes and personal items, but I want the apartment to remain. Take it or leave it.” She wouldn't budge on this, she needed something to remain hers, for she had the odd feeling that he was about to take over her life. He was silent for a moment and finally nodded his head.

“Fine, that will work.”
”Good, and of course when my brother recovers he will come live with us to. I hope you didn't forget him. After all he's the only reason I'm agreeing to any of this.”

“No Sango, I haven't forgotten.” He said softly and she was surprised that he used her first name. ”He's more then welcomed. By the way what do you plan to tell him about our wedding?” Sango's brows wrinkled. Damn I didn't think of that. I was to busy being happy that he would live.

“Don't worry about it, he's my concern, I'll deal with it.” Miroku nodded letting the subject drop.

“Well do you have any other concerns?”

“Just one. You don't expect me to stop working do you, because I won't.”
”My dear lady I'm a progressive man, if you want to continue working be my guest. It has nothing to do with out arrangement.”

“You progressive, yeah right.” Sango said, actually giving a little snort of disbelief, which had Miroku laughing out loud. She blushed embarrassed by her undignified action. Miroku was fascinated as he watched the blush spread across her cheeks. It made her look coy, which was a word he wouldn't have attributed to her. He felt a slight stirring in his groin and shifted under his desk.

“Well…I suppose we have a deal.” He stretched his hand over the desk and after a brief hesitation she grasped it. They spent another hour ironing out the details, the main one begin Kohaku's treatment funds along with some other small concerns. By eleven both lawyers and clients were satisfied with the terms. When Sango got her test results back the papers would be signed and the deal would be sealed. They sat the wedding date for the upcoming Saturday. It looked like a marriage of convenience between Sango Totosai and Miroku Hidinni would actually happen.

Scene 2-The Wedding-Sat-6pm

Sango was to tired to be nervous and that was probably for the best. She had spent the week doing tons of things to get ready for this wedding. She had lucked out and been able to get the test done later on Monday, so Tuesday they had signed the papers and it was a done deal. From there she had went into action. Her first thing was to schedule the first treatment for her brother with Dr. Sesshoumaru. When told that the money would be paid before Saturday was up he had made special arrangements to start the treatments on Sunday. His going out of his way had changed her opinion of him, maybe he wasn't so cold hearted after all. After that, she had gotten busy packing her and Kohaku's things from the two bedroom apartment. Hidinni wanted everything moved before the wedding. He had offered to have packers come but she refused to have people raffling through her things. Though in the end she had let his team do all the unpacking. She had been to beat and besides she didn't know where things were in his huge mansion. She had taken the last box over herself on Friday(only her second time in the house) and the staff had been very nice to her, it was obvious they had been appraised of her impending arrival. She had been glad that he hadn't been home at the time.

The less she saw of him before the wedding, the better chance she wouldn't call the whole thing off. Those were just a few of the things she had done. She had worked a half day the whole week except Friday. She couldn't totally forget about her clients. Then on Wednesday she had asked Kagome to be her maid of honor. She had told her the majority of what was going on, but not the part about Hidinni needing a wife and a child by 30. She had just told her that that had reached an agreement that suited both of them. Her keeping that a secret from everyone had been part of the agreement. Kagome had agreed, though she didn't really like the whole set up. In and around doing all this she and Kagome had picked out a simple wedding dress and she had visited her brother every night to reassure him that everything would be okay. She hadn't told him yet…but she would after the wedding. She sighed now with resignation and lack of sleep, as Kagome put the veil on her head. At least she hadn't spent her week dealing with wedding preparations. Hidinni had taken care of everything, her only job was to show up. She had no clue what kind of wedding it would be nor did she care. The sooner it was over with the better.

Miroku was smoking a cigar out on his bedrooms terrace. He was dressed and the wedding was going to take place in about 15 minutes. With him in charge of it he had planned something small and private. It would just be him, Sango, Kagome and Inuyasha as witnesses. He had decided to leave his family out the loop for the moment. Besides he didn't think Sango would be comfortable with all the inquisitive eyes on her. Of course they would need the minister also. He had arranged for flowers of all sorts to line the hall where the wedding would take place inside the house. Women loved flowers, and though Sango liked to act as if she wasn't…she was a woman. On Wednesday he had surprised her at her job to go take her to get a marriage license. She had shown little emotion as the clerk congratulated them and wished them a long marriage. He had tried to take her out to lunch, but his wife to be had insisted that he had already taken to much of her time and to drop her back at the office. He had taken it upon his self to buy their wedding rings, leaving only the dress to her. He wasn't having second thoughts…who was he kidding he was. Strangely though he didn't think about backing out. The contract was signed and a deal was a deal. He could do a good deed and fulfill his duty to his family at the same time. Besides she wasn't hard on the eyes…though he had yet to see her smile. Well not at him at least. He had finally sat Inuyasha down and told him the whole story. He of course had laughed in my face. He couldn't believe I was getting married over a century old cruse, honestly neither could I but what the hell. Stranger things had happened.

“Hurry the hell up man, this suit is making me itch.” Miroku turned around at Inuyasha's voice. He dropped what was left of his cigar and stubbed it out with his shinny dress shoes.

“Coming. What's with you anyway. This is definitely not your first time wearing a tux.”
Inuyasha just made a face and tugged at his neckline. “I think it has something do with the fact that it's a wedding. Just the thought is going to have me breaking out in hives.”

“Calm down, it's me getting married not you.”

“Thank god. Are you sure you want to give up your freedom like this?”

“It's only for two years…it can't be that bad.”

“If you say so. I don't think I'll ever get married.”

“Are you sure? Don't you want some young Inuyasha's running around.” The man in question shrugged then smiled widely.

“Yeah, I do when I'm like fifty. After all, the world can't take to much of me at one time. It could be lethal.”

“You are something else. Okay let's go get this over with.”

“Yes lets. I can't believe I let you talk me into this.”

“Now, now, you should be thanking me. Kagome is the maid of honor.” Miroku let the words trail out his mouth as he existed the door. Inuyasha just stared at his back for a moment then followed with a new pep in his step.

The music started and Sango took her first steps down the makeshift isle. She was surprised at the transformation of the entrance hall. The flowers were beautiful, not the mention the streams of ribbon flowing to and fro. A smile had come on her face before she realized it. As she drew closer to the three people waiting on her, her smile dropped. She was glad the veil covered her face. She had a lot of conflicting feelings for the man she was about to marry. Disgust, wariness, gratitude and something else that she couldn't quite name. It made her stomach clench with nerves though and she decided she didn't like it whatever it was. She put a neutral expression on her face as she stepped up to him and he took her hand.

Miroku had looked down the isle to his impending wife with mild curiosity until he saw her. The white gown she had choose or more likely Kagome had choose was very tasteful and did her justice. It had a V cut neckline that showed the tops of her breast but to keep it tasteful a piece of transparent silk covered it. The white dress hugged her breast and waist and then bellowed out into a modest hoop shirt. It was devoid of color but had complex lace patterns running through out the dress. The dress was finished off with a long 6 foot train that Kagome held as they walked down the isle. He suddenly had a knot in his throat and gulped it down. He didn't have a smile on his face this time, but he watched her intently as she came towards him. He wondered what she was thinking. Was she sad that she was making such a sacrifice? Or did she feel righteous anger that he was making her give so much? From what he knew about her it was probably neither. She was probably just determined to see this through. She was honorable like that. He took her hand and the ceremony began.

Inuyasha's mouth was dry and he desperately wanted some water. Scratch that a gin and tonic is what he needed. His mouth had gone dry the minute he had seen Kagome walking down the isle behind the bride. She was always gorgeous when he saw her but this time there was something different. She had a soft smile on her face as she carried the train, as though she couldn't help being happy just because it was a wedding. He bet she was one of those women who believed in fairy tales and happy endings. Try as he might to brush it off her smile and the light in her eyes got to him in a weird way. She looked …right was the only word he could use, walking down the isle in a white dress. When she had finally noticed him looking at her she had frowned and the light had gone out of her eyes. Now as they stood supposedly listening to the ceremony she continued to throw him dirty looks and he continued to look at her.

Kagome was a romantic at heart. Hollywood hadn't made her jaded yet, part of that was thanks to Sango keeping her level headed. She knew this wasn't your typical wedding but couldn't help feeling happy anyway as she looked at all the decorations. She was smiling and thinking about her own wedding one day when she noticed the hot pair of eyes on hair. Damn I forgot he was here. Now as she stood listening to the Minster preach about the sanctity of marriage her eyes wondered to him time and again. Why in the hell did he have to be so good looking? He didn't have his smug smile on today but the look he was giving her was worse. He was looking at her as if he'd never saw her before or she was s strange insect to be studied. Humph, just ignore him Kagome. She pointed turned her body more towards the minister and forced her self to pay attention.

“May I have the rings please?” At the question Miroku produced the two flawless gold bands. Sango eyes widened. She had forgotten about those. It was a shock to see them and suddenly everything seemed very real. They went through the ritual of saying “I do” and placing the rings on each others fingers. Finally the minister said his last words.

“I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Hidinni may your union be blessed. You may now kiss the bride.” They turned to each other and Miroku slowly lifted the veil. He was met by a pair of big deep brown eyes. He smiled to reassure her and leaned in for a kiss before she could think about it. Sango was like a deer caught in head lights and there was nothing she could do as his lips swooped down on her. Her eyes closed automatically and she was surprised at how soft his lips were. They faintly tasted like smoke. When he nipped her bottom lip she opened in shock and brought her arms up to steady herself just as she felt his tongue dart in for a gentle taste. Her head was swimming and she thought she heard a flash of a camera and before she knew it the kiss was ending. Miroku drew his lips away from hers slowly. In truth he had wanted to deepen the kiss, to taste the warm folds of her mouth. But the whistle coming from his friend in back of him snapped him out of it. She blinked up at him in confusion only to be met with his cocky smile. That cleared her head and she pressed her lips together in agitation..

He turned her slightly and whispered so only she could hear. “Smile for the camera honey.” She glanced out and saw a professional cameraman snapping photos. Where had he come from? She turned back to glare at him. “Come on now. Think of Kohaku getting better and give the man a smile. You wouldn't want our wedding pictures to come out crazy now would you?” She gave him one last glare and thinking of her brother gave the man a real smile.

Scene 3-The Honeymoon

They made their way to the main outside patio. It was a sunny clear day and the weather was perfect for a wedding. The air carried the scent of the tons of flowers scattered about. Kagome even produced rice to throw at the couple as they walked. Sango sent her a frown but the woman only laughed and continued to throw the offending material. There was a three tier wedding cake waiting and a spread of food, not to mention the orchestra quartet that started playing music as they entered. They cut the cake together as the photographer took pictures. Finally the four acquaintances sat down and the photographer was sent away. They made polite conversation and Kagome and Inuyasha even did a decent job of not snapping at each other. After a while Sango turned to Miroku and spoke.

“This is all very nice…but you didn't have to go through so much trouble.” It bothered him that her tone was that of a polite stranger. Though he supposed that's what they were strangers.

“It wasn't any trouble, it is our wedding after all.”

“Still…it's very nice.” He was surprised she had given him any compliment but was pleased that she had. He nodded and then reached his hand out to her.

“Come lets dance. I think it's a tradition of some sort.” She hesitated but finally relented and let him lead her to the floor. He held her loosely and she gradually loosened up. They waltzed around the open space to the beat of the music. He had that look on his face again as if he was thinking about something deep and profound. The man was a puzzle to her. She knew he could be low down and dirty and was a shameless playboy but he could also be a gentleman and take the time to decorate just to make her feel like she was having a real wedding. Meanwhile their two friends silently watched as they danced. Suddenly Inuyasha stood up.

“Come on Higurashi I want to dance.”

“When did I start caring about what you want? That's no way to ask a lady to dance.”

“Your right when I see a lady I'll ask nicely.” Kagome just toyed with her dinner knife, seriously contemplating stabbing it in his heart.

“Go…to…hell.” She said slowly pronunciatiing each word. He sighed impatient with her attitude.

“Geesh, fine. Would you care to dance with me?

“Wow, thank you for asking…but no thanks.”

“Damn it, dance with me. If they can be civil so can we.” Kagome glanced over at the newly wedded couple and had to admit they didn't seem to be arguing and she knew this day had to be hard for them both. Shaking her head she stood up.

“Fine I'll dance with you, one dance.” He smiled cockily like he knew it was a matter of time and pulled her close when they got to the floor. Kagome didn't resist but she wanted to. Instead she settled for throwing daggers at him with her eyes.

“You know you clean up pretty nice.”
”What a compliment. You have such a smooth way with words” She said mockingly.

“Yeah, I've been told that a lot.” Her insult went right over his head.

“You are a total cad.”

“Maybe but admit it…you find me sexy don't you.” She turned her head away from him and refused to answer as they continued to dance. Of all the nerve. He was a good dancer though and she couldn't help feeling the hard muscles that were pressed against her. She felt a tingle in her stomach and fought down a blush. She really shouldn't let him hold her so close. Inuyasha was thinking along the same lines. Damn I shouldn't hold her this close. I can feel every lush curve of her body. His blood was getting hot again he started at her exposed neck wanting to suck it. Half of her hair was in a up do and the rest trailed down her back. Why did this smart mouth, shrew tempt him so?

“So you won't admit it huh? Very well, just come home and sleep with me tonight and we'll let it go.” It took Kagome a minute to focus in on what he was saying since her mind had wondered a bit. When it sank in she wrenched her body away from his and made a lunge to stomp on his foot, but he was to quick for her this time. She thought about punching him in the eye, but knew that her best friends wedding wasn't the place. Instead she turned whipping her hair around her and marched to the other dancing couple.

“I'm sorry to interrupt, but I think it's time I was going. It was a lovely evening.”

“Oh, so soon. Do you have too? I mean it's only 8” Sango wished her voice didn't sound so desperate, but she wasn't ready to be along with her husband yet.

“Yeah, I should go.”

“Well thank you for coming. We appreciate it.” Miruko said smoothly, as Inuyasha walked over. “Are you leaving too?”

“Yeah I think I'll take off.” Miruko smiled, as he heard the crankiness in his voice and he had a good idea who'd put it there.”

“Okay well thanks for coming.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Inuyasha said before walking off in a rush.

“Ignore him, he can't help being an ass, he was born that way.” Kagome's comment got a laugh out of both of them before she left. Now the two newlyweds were alone.

Miroku called all the staff that consisted of 25 and introduced her as his wife. They were very receptive and she got the feeling that they liked their employer. He then took her personally for a tour of the mansion. In Hollywood standards it would be in the middle of the pack for grandeur, but to Sango it seemed like a palace compared to her small apartment. There were at least twenty five bedroom/suits, two pools, a tennis court, a fully equipped gym, a sauna and a Jacuzzi, the huge main hall the party had been in, two kitchens that a restaurant would be jealous of, a library, a main office, a theater, two dining rooms and what looked like three living rooms, a game room and several studies. It was a lot to take in. They made idle and civil conversation as they went along, and she began to relax. That is until there tour ended at their bedroom.

“This is the master suite.” He said ushering her in. “It has two full baths but the one to the left is bigger, that yours. You clothes and things that you brought today have already been moved in. We have separate walk in closets, so you don't have to worry about our stuff get mixed up or getting in each other's way.” Miroku suddenly stopped, realizing he was as close to babbling as he ever got. For some reason he wanted her approval of the room. “If you want you can change and we can go back down stairs for some coffee.” Sango had been looking at the room. It was dominated by a huge king size bed. There was an entertainment cabinet, but nothing else but lamps and pictures. Hearing him she turned to look at him. She was surprised that he hadn't said something crude about getting down to business. She hadn't expected him to be so…so nice.

“If you don't mind I think I will change…I'm ready for bed.” Her voice came out softer then she intended and from the smile that spread across his face, she could tell he got the wrong idea.”

“Well in that case, I'll get ready for bed too.”

“Really, don't let me stop you from doing something else I mean it's only 9:15.” She tired to deter him.

“No, it's been a long day…I could use some…rest.” It was clear from the way his eyes traveled down her body that the last thing he was expecting to get in bed was rest. She lowered her eyelashes to hide the sparkle that was in her own eyes.

“Very well. Could you do me a favor and unzip me…I'm sure you've had lots of practice.” Now Miroku was openly grinning as she turned her back to him and he approached her.

“I do have a lot of experience.” He said as he slid the zipper open, letting his warm breath caress her exposed skin. “I'll be happy to help you at anytime with zippers or anything else you need.” He was about to place a kiss on her shoulder blade when she stepped away from him.

“Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.” Without another word she hurried to the bath room he'd pointed to as being hers. Miroku smiled. He had felt her shiver and knew that she was affected by him. As he headed to his own bathroom he began to softly whistle.
Sango heart had speed up and she cursed the man she had just thought of as nice.

“I knew he was a good for nothing.” She quickly but gently put away the wedding dress and jumped in the shower without another thought. The hot water soothed her and relaxed her. By the time she stepped out she had almost forgotten what awaited her on the other side of the door. Wrapping a towel around herself she stepped into her closet and saw that it was huge and held all her clothes that hardly took up any space. Her dressers were inside the closet and already filled with her clothes. No wonder the room had been void of them. After a minute of learning where her different things were she paused to choose a night gown. She was conservative but did treat her self to some of the softer lingerie from time to time. She choose one in-between. It was a pale blue nighty that came mid thigh with ruffles on its edge. The bodice was lace up and it was almost see through but not quite. It came with a matching pair of panties and she slipped them on.

She went back out and towel dried her hair leaving it loose and free. There was by the smell of it some expensive lotion on the marble sink tops and she used some on her skin. She looked in the mirror and thought she looked a little wild…and a little sexy. After a long pause to gather her courage she went back in the closet to grab something that she needed from a black bag and headed out to the bed room. Great…he wasn't out yet. She had been expecting him to be laying in bed naked. One leg cocked up and a cocky grin on his face. She did notice that he had turned the lights down and now only a gentle glow bathed the room. She sat what she needed on the bedside table and got under the thin silk sheet that lined the bed. It was June in Hollywood, it was too hot for a blanket. Her heart was racing again…she hoped she could do this and that it didn't blow up in her face. She turned her back to his bathroom and waited.

Miroku came out and was pleased when saw her already in bed. The sheet was only up to her waist and he could see that she wore a nighty and that pleased him to. He had loosened his hair from its usual knot and it hung in wet waves over his shoulders. He was in royal blue silk briefs and nothing else. He lifted the sheet getting a good view of her scantly clad bottom and licked his lips in anticipation. He scooted up behind her and placed a hand on her hip…she didn't stop him.

“Are you awake Sango?”

“Yes…I was waiting on you.” Her answer emboldened him and he ran his hand down her thigh and up again to her hip.

“You know, this marriage will have its perks.” As he talked he placed kisses at the back of her neck and on her exposed forearm. “I've been told I'm a great lover.” He continued to run his hands over her. Over her stomach, down the middle of her thighs. He could feel her whole body trembling. Good she wants me. With a smile of confidence he started his hand in the direction of her panties. “At least in this area you'll be completely satisfied.”
Sango was trembling all right and not necessarily from pleasure as she felt him touch her center. Her arm shot out and grabbed something from the dresser. In the blink of an eye she turned around and slammed the object in his face.

“Wrong again, I'm not satisfied in this area.” Miroku blinked as he clutched the object that had been thrown in his face and sat up on an elbow.

“What the hell is this?”

“Read it and weep. Its article 7, section 2 of our agreement. It says I have the right to refuse to do anything that could potentially harm me or our unborn child.” Sango said defiantly.

“I know what it is, but why are you shoving it in my face?” Miroku had been caught off guard and he didn't like the feeling. He balled up the paper and tossed it behind his back where it fell on the floor.

“Basically that means that you won't be proving how good of a lover you are tonight.” She said with petty satisfaction.

“Huh? We're married and I expect a honey moon. How else can we work on having a child?” He was getting pissed but he tried to reign in his temper. She couldn't be trying to forfeit the contract this soon?

“I know and you'll get one. Just not before I know I'm safe.” He starched his head in puzzlement and frustration. His dick was hard and she was talking nonsense.

“I don't follow.”
”I'll explain it to you. As you said you have a lot of …experience. I'm well aware of that and I refuse to have sex with you until I know that you are disease free.”

“What! You can't really be serious.”
”Why not? How do I know you didn't catch something from one of your playmates. Me contracting something would endanger me and the future health of any baby conceived.”

“This is ridicules. I don't have anything. This is just your way of putting off the inventible.”

“I'm being perfectly reasonable. Though if you're that hard up for sex I suppose…we could use a condom. If you have any. You probably don't use them with your other women.” His face actually got red. Not from embarrassment but from anger. He leaned his face very close to hers and she gulped but didn't move back nor did her eyes lower.

“I will not use condoms with my own wife and I'll only say that once. Besides it would be a breach of the agreement for you not to try and hinder getting pregnant in anyway. Second I will have you know I do use condoms. A man in my position can't take the chance of every starlit claiming I'm the father of her child. Now just admit that your being ridicules.” He didn't shout but his voice was low and steely. Sango crossed her arms and stared back at him.

“No. I refuse to have sex until you're tested for every disease. I want to see the test results with my own eyes.”

“Would you like to be there when I piss in the cup too?” He asked sarcastically as he tried to get his temper under control.

“If I can free my schedule, yes.” Came her flippant remark. For tense seconds they just stared at each other. Finally Miroku smiled and shrugged.

“Okay fine. You win this one. But as soon as I get those tests…we will have a honeymoon.” His eyes dropped to her laced up breasts before coming back to her face.

“Fine. But until then, I'd prefer it if you kept your dirty hands off me.” She blinked and before she could stop him he leaned over and gave her a peck on the mouth.

“I didn't use my hands, before you insult me again.” He scooted away from her and plumped up a pillow before lying down with his hands behind his head.

“For now we'll do it your way…wife. Good night.” He reached for a dial above his head and the lights went out. Sango sat there blinking in the dark. Slowly she lay down and turned her back on him. Great she had bought herself a couple of days before she had to face the unpleasant task of performing her wifely duty.
