Bad Guys

Chapter 3

This is the final chapter. Although there will be an epilogue. Just because I promised someone that, I would do a sequel to make everything all better…So I decided to make an epilogue after the three chapters. This is my shortest story thus far…Instead of being a one-shot it is a three-shot.

Kagome, Kik, and Sango had become quick friends.

Inuyasha scoffed at their ability to trust so easily. He of course didn’t really trust anybody except, Myouga the flea, Kagome, Sango, Shippou and Kirara. Defiantly NOT Miroku!

He was dozing off in the tree whilst the girls talked amongst themselves and Miroku lay unconscious at their feet.

Shippou and Kirara were off to the side, in the girls’ line of sight, playing tag happily.

“Kids are just so cute aren’t they Kagome-chan?” Kik asked innocently.

“Yeah…” Kagome sighed daydreaming happily about one day when she and Inuyasha would one day have children of their own together.

“Kagome…you wouldn’t happen to be thinking about a certain grumpy hanyou now would you?” Inquired Sango, snapping Kagome out of her daydream and causing a deep blush to creep its way up her face.

Kik and Sango laughed at the embarrassed girl, while the mentioned hanyou smiled happily to himself upon seeing this.

‘I love that girl so much. I don’t know what I would ever do if I lost her…’ He sighed ridding himself of such thoughts.

Later that night Miroku, Sango, Shippou, Kirara, and Kik all slept contently.

Kagome was in Inuyasha’s arms at the base of the tree he had been dozing in earlier that day.

“I love you so much Kagome…” He whispered falling asleep to her lulling scent, but not before hearing her reply.

“I love you more than you’ll ever know Inuyasha…” She trailed off, falling asleep to his rhythmic heartbeat.

Unbeknownst to the couple sleeping contently in each other’s warmth a lone enemy prowled about.

Their other companions had already been murdered in their sleep. Now the two lovebirds would meet the same fate.

They had so much going for them: Love, friendship, prosperity, battles, never ending happiness…

In one swift movement that all ended. They met the eternal sleep; together in each other’s soft embrace.

The enemy picked up the rest of the Shikon No Tama from the fallen girl’s bloodied neck.

“Naraku shall be pleased…” Said the smirking murder. “The girl shouldn’t have been so trusting…She should have listened to her hanyou and sent me away…but no…now she’s gone.” With that, the girl left in a flash of bright light.

What does this teach you? What’s the lesson? DON’T BE SO TRUSTING! Keep your guard up at all times! Get to know someone before just allowing them in!

-Sigh- That was sad wasn’t it. Ah well.

The End. In addition, Epilogue follows.
