The Best Halloween Ever

Chapter 2: She Pops the Question, And a Big Day of Planning

 

She stretched lazily as she awoke to the wonderful smell of breakfast cooking. She brushed her sleep tousled hair, quickly changed in to her usual uniform, and exited her hut. She was met with an absolutely unbelievable sight. A sleepy hanyou cooking breakfast over the fire outside was simply to shocking for her.

 

“Feh, you're finally up,” was the smart ass reply she received. “About time too if you asked me, Shippo, Kirara, and the old woman left hours ago.”

 

Kagome simply sighed and sat down. She was too lost in thought to argue with him. She wanted to wait until he was in a better mood to ask him her question, but there was simply no time. She decided she would just have to come out with it.

 

“Inuyasha, I know you're not all for doing me favors but this is huge. Part of the reason I went home this time was not only to take tests,” she explained, “but also to get more information on a holiday coming up in my time called Halloween.”

 

Inuyasha looked so confused Kagome knew she should have stopped there to explain but she continued.

 

“Some of my friends from school are having a party where everybody dresses up in costumes and comes to celebrate the holiday, but there's a problem, I can't go unless I have a date, so.. umm.. what I'm trying to ask is Inuyasha will you be my date to the Halloween party?”

 

She sat quietly and let Inuyasha think about the proposition she had offered.

Finally, after a long moment he replied.

 

“Yes, but only one condition..”

 

“What's that?”

“You have to promises you wont leave me alone in you're time.”

 

“I promise Inuyasha, thank you thank you thank you!!!”

 

She was so excited she leapt into his arms and hugged him. She quickly grabbed his hand and led him off in the direction of the well explaining how much work they had to do by that night. The whole time she was kicking herself mentally for not asking him sooner. They jumped into the well together and in seconds were on the other side.

 

Because it was a Friday, she knew all her friends would be in school and that wearing her uniform in public would be a dead give away that she was skipping school so she decided to change her clothes once they arrived in her time. She rushed up to her room and pulled out a pair of faded wash jeans with a hole in the knee, a bright yellow tank top and her favorite sweater. The top portion of the ensemble was slightly revealing but she didn't care. As for Inuyasha she pulled out one of her best gay friend James' green Polo shirts and a pair of his jeans and shoes. She figured that they were close to the same size and of course he wouldn't mind. She was silently thankful that her mother let the boy stay, knowing that it was only because of his sexual preference. She grabbed a black bandana and returned to Inuyasha down stairs and instructed him to change and to return once he had. A few minutes and curse words later he emerged fully dressed. He looked... hot. The Polo was tight and showed off his well toned upper body. The jeans fit him perfectly. She sat him down, pulled back his thick silver hair, and tied the bandana on his head to cover his ears. They were ready to go.

 

Their first stop was a costume store. Kagome had already picked out the naughty pirate. She had ordered the costume months before but returned to make the final changes but decided to show Inuyasha just to make sure he liked it. She disappeared into the dressing room, only to reappear a few moments later.

 

All rational thinking stopped fort the hanyou. His jaw dropped. She looked amazing. The top was a long sleeved black shirt with no buttons and was tied under her rather large breasts. Her tan, lean stomach was reviled. The tight black and white striped shorts rode low on her hips with a wide red belt and were quite short. To top that off, the thigh high 6 inch stiletto boots with silver buckles finished the look.

 

“Holy shit Kagome you look amazing!” he exclaimed with out even thinking.

 

They both blushed at his statement.

 

She decided that Inuyasha was going to match but with a twist, a demon pirate so that his natural features would not have to be hidden. His outfit consisted of a white long sleeved shirt that fit very loosely, tight black pants, and black boots. Kagome purchased their items and returned to her home for a lunch of ramen and a nap before the party.
