The Best Halloween Ever

Chapter 3: Party Time

 

It was around five when she woke up. Realizing how long she had slept and that the party started in just two short hours she rushed to wake Inuyasha.

 

“Inuyasha, wake up!” she shouted impatiently as she ran past her brother Sota's room.

 

The half demon jumped to his feet exclaiming “What's wrong Kagome?”

 

“We're going to be late for the Halloween party!” she replied hastily as she jumped into the shower.

 

Only moments later she reappeared with her hair wet, and a makeup kit in hand.

 

“Your turn” she informed the boy sitting on her bed.

 

She led him to the shower and turned it on for him. She then returned to her bedroom to do her makeup and hair. When Inuyasha finally emerged from the shower, she was ready, except for her costume that is. She wore dark black eye shadow with long fake black eyelashes. Her lips were a bright blood red. Her hair was down and board straight. Over her hair she wore a red scarf. She looked at the clock, six thirty. She hoped they would have plenty of time. She dried Inuyasha's thick silver hair, being careful of his ears. She then tied a red scarf on his head to hide the furry triangles. She then sent him back to Sota's room to finish dressing. They both emerged from their separate rooms about the same time. She double checked their costumes and off they went.

 

Kagome glanced at her watch as they entered the school's gym.

 

“Shoot, fifteen minutes late. Oh well. Hey, there's Ayume!” she exclaimed as she saw her friend.

 

“Hello Kagome” Ayume stated brightly. She was staring at Inuyasha.

`So this is the creep that Kagome is always talking about. He is way too handsome to be as mean as she says,' she thought silently.

“So Kagome, how bout you and your date have a dance with Hojo and I.”

 

“Sounds great to me, Ayume.”

 

The two couples walked casually out on to the dance floor. As Ayume and Hojo started dancing, Inuyasha look at Kagome confused.

 

“What is it Inuyasha?”

 

“I don't know how to dance,” he admitted shamefully.

 

“Here, it's not that hard, I'll teach you.”

 

Kagome began to rock her hips in time with the fast pace beat. Inuyasha was in awe. Her body rolled in the most seductive ways. It was consuming him. She grabbed his hand pulling him forward. Placing both of his hands on her hips, she began to grind against him. All hesitation was gone. He let his mind go, allowing himself to sway with her to the hypnotizing beat.

 

“See this isn't so hard,” she stated.

 

“Yea, maybe not,” he replied in a trance.

 

The song ended abruptly with the ear splitting base of a rap song. They separated and all the guys stepped off the floor as the girls began to dance along with the song.

 

“What are they doing?” Inuyasha questioned the boy next to him.

 

“It's called the Monkey Swing.”

 

Inuyasha was in complete shock. This was no where near the swaying that she had been doing with him. He never dreamed in a million years he would ever see HIS Kagome dancing like that. The way she was moving was provocative, it was sexy, it was turning him on but at the same time infuriating him the way she move in front of other males. He could not take it any longer. He stormed out. It wasn't until the song ended that Kagome noticed Inuyasha's absence. She exited the dance to search for him.

 

“Have you seen a young man with silver hair dressed as a pirate come through here?” she asked the parking lot security guard.

 

“Yes ma'am. He went that way,” the man said and pointed to the left.

 

Kagome knew exactly where Inuyasha would do. She found the tallest tree in the court yard next to the gym, knowing that Inuyasha would not be far from her.

 

“Inuyasha, please come down and tell me what's the matter. Why did you leave me inside?”

 

A rustle, then a soft thud. She turned to see Inuyasha standing behind her.

 

“Inuyasha why did you leave?”

 

“Because of the way you were dancing. It made me sick. No woman of MINE is going to dance like that in front of other males. YOU ARE MINE KAGOME! Don't you understand that?”

She was in complete shock. His, she was his? What did he mean by that? What was he talking about? There was no way he could feel like that about her… was there?
