Chapter III: Body and Soul

Kagome woke up from her slumber on the hard and lumpy bed. She groaned as she got and soothed her aching back. She wenched at the pain as she slowly walked over to the kitchen. The kitchen wall was covered in light bright wallpaper and all kinds of knick knacks adorned it. Kagome sighed as she went over to the cabinet to grab a coffee mug so she could have her morning ritual of coffee. Without it, she'd get sick and have headaches like she was an addict or something. Kagome looked at all the colorful and shimmery mugs and froaned. "Geez. Does she have anything normal in this damn cabinet." Kagome said before her eyes glazed over to a nice solid black mug. "Perfect" She said as she grabbed it.

Kagome turned around to find some sign of a coffee maker and groaned again when she didn't see one. She searched the whole kitchen until her eyes set on a weird contraption. "What the..." She said as she looked the silver machine up and down. "Coffee Bean 2000" She whispered to herself as she read the steel letters in front. "Okay then." She said as she set her mug on the small plate. "Okay, where's the on button for this thing." She said as she looked for something that indicated power. She pushed a red button and a screeching sound came out and made her jump as the coffee machine started to shake. "Oh shit. It's going to explode." Kagome said as she hid behind the breakfast table.

The coffee maker started to shake and judder faster making loud whirring noises. Then a steaming stream of dark brown liquid poured into the black mug. Kagome let out a sigh of relief as she walked over to the machine and grabbed her mug as she slightly sipped from it. She smiled as the coffee coursed her blood and made her body warm inside.

"Good morning, sweet cheeks." A voice said and Kagome felt a hand squeeze her bottom making her scream and throw her mug in the air.

"Aaah!! Who the fuck are you?" The man screamed at the scorching hot liquid that burned him.

Kagome zipped around. "Who the fuck are you?" She snapped back.

"I fucking live here. I ought to be asking you that question." He said as he walked over to the kitchen cabinet to grab some paper towel to wipe the steaming liquid off his face and body.

Kagome eyes widened as she noticed the the man was wearing nothing but a towel. "Uggh, could you please have some respect and put some clothes on."

He threw the paper towel in the garbage bin. "Hey, stop calling shots like you live here or something. You still didn't tell me who you are."

"Listen, buster. I don't have to tell you anything! You still didn't tell me who you are." Kagome yelled. She was getting pretty pissed at this man's attitude even though she was the intruder.

"If you want to know so damn much, my name is Miroku Houshi."

Kagome's face dropped as it finally registered. "Oh, are you Sango's husband?"

"Yeah." He said. "Who are you?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean any trouble. I didn't know."

"I still don't know your name." Miroku said putting his hands on his hips making the towel slip down until it pooled at his feet.

Kagome's mouth dropped. Then she looked at the smug expression on Miroku's face that said 'Yeah, my dick get carpet burns when I walk.' "Aaaaah!!!" She screamed as she covered her eyes.

"What's all of the damn racket out here?" Sango said walking in the kitchen.

"Sango." Kagome cried as she uncovered her eyes.

"Miro, what happened to your face and why in the hell are you walking around naked." Sango steamed.

"This girl splashed steaming hot coffee in my face."

"And why are you naked? This is why I can never trust you."

"Sango, it's not like that. You know you're the only one for me." Miroku whined.

"You can't do these things around, Kagome."

"Kagome?" Miroku turned around to face Kagome. "So, you're the girl who San said would be living with us."

Kaogme nodded. "Yeah." She said as she nervously rubbed her hands together.

He hit his head. "Well, I'll be. Hey, I'm sorry about before. Come on here. You're family now." Miroku said opening his arms and hugging Kagome.

Kagome stiffened as she felt his member pressing against her.

"Will you please forgive me?" He said pressing himself flush against. Kagome's eyes widened when she felt something against her stomach.

"Okay. Just let me go." She squeaked.

Miroku pulled away and looked down. "Oh, shit. I'm sorry. Well, you are beautiful woman and I'm just a man and men have urges and...."

"Miroku!!!" Sango screamed.

He turned around to face her. "Baby, I'm sorry. It wasn't my fault."

"This is another reason I can't trust you." Sango snapped.

"See, my heart was like no, but my body was like yes and...."

"Just save it, Miro. Leave please."

"San! Come on, baby." Miroku said inching over to her.

"No, Miroku."

He wrapped his arms around her petite body and pressed her against himself. "You feel that." He said kissing her ear. "You're the only one One Eyed Willy wants." He said biting her ear.

Sango giggled and gave in to his ministrations. "Miroku" She moaned breathlessly. "Stop it."

"Baby, I can't stop. You're the only one I crave for." He said as his hands wandered off to her behind.

"Miroku." Sango squeaked. Then she looked over to his shoulders and saw Kagome's still stunned expression. "Alright, stop it." She said twisting out of his embrace.

"What is it this time?" Miroku pleaded.

"Kagome's right there." Sango whispered.

Miroku turned around and saw the poor girl's expression. "Shit, she ain't even in the world. Let her watch." Miroku dipping in her neck to nip at it.

"Come on, Miro. Stop it." She said giggling as she hit him on the chest.

"Alright, I'll see you in a minute. I'm going to go take care of...." He looked down then back at Sango. "My problem." He said before he kissed her cheek and walked out the kitchen.

Once he was gone, Sango looked at Kagome's face. "Are you okay, Kags?" Sango asked.

"Eeep." Kagome squeaked before she fell to the floor.

InuYasha laughed at the joke his fiance told him. "Very funny." He said as he sipped the last of his root beer.

"I know. My cousin told me the other day." Kikyo said giggling. Then she sighed and looked around the nice restaurant that InuYasha took her to. "I'm so glad we get to spend some time alone together."

"Yeah, it's been hetic this week especially with Kag coming and all."

Kikyo smiled meekly. "Yeah. She's a nice girl."

"Oh, yeah. She's the best." InuYasha said.

Kikyo frowned for a minute. Why wasn't she the best? Was this Kagome more important than her? Kikyo then decided to shake it off. She was getting married to the most wonderful man ever. "I guess."

InuYasha immediately saw the down look in the eyes of his fiance. "You okay, babe?"

Kikyo shook her head and smiled. "Of course." InuYasha nodded approving her repsonse. The truth of the matter was that Kikyo wasn't completely okay and deep down InuYasha knew that.

"Anyways, I wanted to talk to you about the wedding." Kikyo said changing her attitude.

"Aww, honey. I thought that the whole point of this brunch-in was that we could get our minds off the wedding."

"But there's an important matter that we need to discuss and I think you know what."

InuYasha's eyebrows furrowed. He loved his wife no matter, but sometimes she was just a pain in the.....

"InuYasha?"

"I already told you, Kik. I ain't doing it." He said firmly.

Kikyo sighed in exasperation."But you're coming to our family and I just thought that..."

"Well, you thought wrong. Remember that you're coming into my family, too."

Kikyo lips tightened into a thin line. She loved InuYasha's family but they were sometimes a little...over the edge to clean things up. "Come on," She drawled "...we have to think about the majority of things here, Yash. Your family is warm and loving, but....come on."

InuYasha despised the way Kikyo always treated his family like dirt beneath her family's feet. "Kik, you can act a whole lot like your mother sometimes. Did you know that?"

Kikyo started to breath heavily letting her fiance know she was mad. "Don't say that. I am nothing like my mother. It's just....common sense."

"Leave it alone. Can you do that for me?" InuYasha said closing his eyes in frustration.

"Leave it alone?! Yash?"

"Kikyo, I love you and I hate to argue with you about this subject. The only thing it does is make me doubt this wedding. If you're like this now, what will you be like when we get married?"

Kikyo remained quiet as her eyes began to water. "You doubt me? You're doubting us?" She squeaked.

One thing that he hated more than the two of them arguing was seeing her cry.
"No, babe. I don't doubt you. It's just that sometimes you make me mad, okay? You know I love you more than anything." InuYasha got up and leaned over to kiss Kikyo gently on her lips. "Okay?" He said looking into her eyes as he used the blunt tips of his thumbs to wipe the upcoming tears.

She nodded and smiled. "Okay, but can you at least consider it."

InuYasha sat down. "I'll....consider it," Kikyo smiled. "But I'm not making any promises."

Kagome enjoyed the warm strong hands that carressed her shoulders with precision. "Mmm. Thanks again, San. I really needed this." Kagome muffled through the facehole.

"No prob, Kaggy." Sango moaned. "I'll do anything for you." She then turned to the handsome bronzed adonis massaging her back. "Yep, anything for you."

Kagome giggled. "What would Miroku say about you getting a massage by some man?"

"Oh, I don't care what Miroku says." Sango said putting her head back into the hole. "If Miroku had fingers like..." She paused. "What's your name?"

"It's Emilio." He purred as he kneaded his fingers further.

"Mmm. Oh, like I was saying. If Miroku had fingers like Emilo's here, I wouldn't leave the house."

Kagome smiled. "I'm sure you wouldn't."

"Do you want to take your towel off, mam." The masseuse asked Kagome.

She blushed and shook her head. "No, thank you."

Sango groaned. "Oh, don't be a tightass, Kaggy. Have a little fun."

"I'm not like you, Sango. I can't go ass naked in front of people I don't know."

"These men see women's asses every day and I'm sure not all of them were pleasant. Am I right, fellas?"

The two masseuses stayed quiet as they massaged the women.

Sango smirked. "I'll take that as a 'yes'. So, don't be worried, Kag. Just cut loose."

Kaogme smirked. "I'll cut loose when I want to."

"What? Are you saving your bottom bits for InuYasha." Sango remarked.

"What?" Kagome gasped. "Of course not. Why would I be saving my "bottom bits" for Yash when he's getting married. I can't believe you."

"I can't believe you?! You've been stuck to this man for over 5 years now, Kag. It's hard for me to believe that your here just to see a friend get married."

Kagome scoffed. "I am! I mean, why else would I be here?"

"Oh I don't know. Maybe to snag him from the grimy grips of the fiance and run away together in some fairytale dream of yours."

"Isn't that a little over the top, San. I love, Yash. We've been good friends..."

"And good lovers." Sango chimed in.

Kaogme smiled smartly. "Yeah that, too. We've also broke it off and now I'm happy for him."

"Really?" Sango asked.

"I am!" Kagome defended.

"Okay. Whatever you say." Sango said in a skeptical tone.

"Really. I am happy for him. Happy that he's marrying some bimbo instead of me! He loved me once, you know. It took him nearly a decade to get over me." After Kagome's rant it became eerily silent in the room.

"See? Now was that so hard?" Sango said smiling.

Sesshomaru sat behind his wide cherry wood desk working diligently on his paperwork until his phone rang. He stopped long enough to inhale and exhale. He leaned back into the chair bending it to accommadate his weight. Sesshomaru stretched his long arms around his head and looked into the ceiling.

'Is it any of my businesss to dabble into her personal affairs?' He thought. He knew his decision was a big one. Sesshomaru wanted her to happy, but was it really what she wanted. He loved her enough to do it, but loved her enough to let it be.

"I can't take it anymore." He said as he untied his arms to scramble through his desk. Once he found what he was looking for, he picked up the phone and dialed the number on the card. "Hello, James. This is Sesshomaru. Yeah, long time no see." He sat up a little in his chair. "Hey, I need a favor to ask you."

Kagome and Sango giggled as they walked into Sango's bungalow house. "Thanks, again. I really needed that. All that stress from work and everything really had me tense." Kagome said plopping onto the red leather sofa taking her shopping bags with her. "Thanks for taking me shopping, too."

"No problem. I needed it as much as you did." Sango said dropping her keys on the nearby coffee table and her shopping bags on the floor. She took her jacket off before a scent hit her nostrils. "Mmm. You smell that?" Sango asked Kagome.

Kagome inhaled in the aroma. "Now, that you mention it..." She said hopping off the couch. "Smells good."

"Hell yeah it does." Sango said running towards the kitchen and Kagome right on her heel. They stopped at the kitchen to see Miroku cooking in his underware.

"Miroku?!" Sango exclaimed.

"Hey, baby." Miroku said stirring a pot of sweet smelling sauce. "Hungry?"

Sango walked into the kitchen and leaned against the counter. "Why are you at home, Miro?" She sternly said.

"What do you mean? I'm making my baby some lunch."

"Don't play with me, Miroku. Did you get fired?"

"Huh?" He said tasting the sauce. "Mmm. Want a taste?"

"No, I don't want a taste!" Sango yelled.

"You Kagome?"

Kagome shook her head as she leaned against the doorway. Truthfully, she didn't want to taste anything from someone in their underware no matter how addictive it was to her nostrils.

"Don't fuck with me, Miroku."

Miroku sighed as he turned the dial down on the stove. "Yeah, I got fired." He said wiping his hands off on the kitchen towel.

Sango shook her head. "I can't believe this. We worked hard to get you that job. You know rent is due next week."

"Yeah, I know." Miroku said walking over to Sango. "I'm going to handle everything, baby. Don't worry." He said kissing her on the forehead.

"Alright, but can you do me a favor?"

"Anything." He said sliding his hands over her hips then resting them on her behind.

"Can you please put some clothes on?"

A/n: Took me long enough. Well, my computer didn't work for the last month or so. I'll try to catch up on time.
