A/N: Oh my freaking God. I haven't typed up a chapter for almost two months now!! OMG I AM SOOO SORRY. You guys are so wonderful too. I haven't written in so long and you still give me reviews. I feel like scum. I told you guys that I would put up the next chapter after Christmas and I never did… Please, feel free to tell me how much you hate me and yell at me, I deserve it. But, I'ma tell you what delayed me for so long. The one main reason was…Writer's block… yeah that sucks. I couldn't even think of a name for the freakin' chapter. And secondly, I've been bombarded with schoolwork. Ever since second semester started (which was Jan, 5) I had to not miss a single day plus with having to take Alg. II, I need to always concentrate on my work. I HATE MY LIFE. Whoa.. Long ass Authoress' Note, sorry about that. Now, on to the 2 month late chapter!!!!

Chapter 6: Unsuspected visitor.

 

 

It was 7:30 in the morning when Inuyasha hopped into his red sports car. He had a plan on how to start the day off. Granted it might not work but he decided to try it anyway. He started up his car taking a look in the mirror to make sure he looked all right. He then drove off in the direction of Kagome's house determined to put his plan to use.

Kagome woke up to the sound of her new alarm clock that Sango bought for her yesterday. She rolled over onto her side and picked up the noisy gadget. Looking at it, she surprised herself. She actually woke up early!! The good news just keeps on rollin' in huh? She stretched her arms and legs and got out of bed to go wash herself up. Today was going to be another interesting day in her new school life. It made her feel a sense of victory just thinking about what went on yesterday. Will Inuyasha be speechless again and gawk at her instead of insulting her today? This can turn out to be a better thing than she thought. Then she heard her mother yell up to her;

 

“Kagome!! A friend of yours is here to pick you up for school!!

 

Kagome blinked. Wow, Sango actually came by to pick her up for school. Of course she didn't really expect the girl to actually do it, she was just picking at her about it because of the whole car thing. She quickly got dressed into one of her new outfits which was a baby blue shirt with a mini denim skirt and black shoes. They weren't dress shoes but they weren't sneakers either, it was just some kind of plain not dressy dress shoe. She put on some make up, remembering how Sango taught her how to do it herself. She did a satisfying job to her at least. She ran over to her night table and grabbed a pop tart from a box of 5 of them which was something else that Sango bought her yesterday.

 

“You're the best Sango” she said as she quickly ate the pastry while grabbing her bag. She ran down stairs and hugged her mom good-bye. When she stepped out the door she was puzzled by what she saw. It wasn't Sango's blue car, it was a red sports car. She didn't know whom it belonged to so she walked up to it and tapped on the window to find out who it was. The window rolled down and once she saw who it was, she almost fell backwards.

 

“Inu..Inuyasha?! What are you doing here, at my house??” She asked, trying to prepare herself for objects to be thrown at her by raising up her bag.

 

“I came here to take you to school. Why else?” He said with a cocky grin on his face.

 

Kagome blinked in confusion. Why the hell would Inuyasha insist on driving her to school? Why the hell was Inuyasha in front of her house in the first place?? This started to freak her out. She took a step back and frowned at him.

 

“Sango is taking me to school, I wouldn't want you to take me anyway. It's probably a trick to embarrass me again so I'm not falling for it. Just get away from my house you jerk!” She gasped to herself when she realized what she just said.

 

Inuyasha just blinked and stared at her. She never snapped at him like that, let alone say anything back to him. This was going to be interesting. He opened the door to the seat next to him and patted the seat.

 

“Get in, I'm taking you to school.”

 

“No! Go away or I'll call the cops!”

 

“Just get in! I'm not going to pull any pranks on you!!”

 

“Why should I believe you? Just go! With that she started to walk back to her house.

 

`Shit, I didn't think that this work anyway' Inuyasha thought to himself. He got out of his car and followed Kagome to her front door only to have her turn around and start to scream at his face. He quickly covered her mouth so people wouldn't get the wrong idea. He looked at her with an angry look on his face, which started to frighten her.

 

`Why the heck is he bothering me? At my house of all places! Please God, make him go away! Make him leave me alone!' Kagome said to herself.

 

“I'm not going to do anything, just get in my car so I can drive you to school. You're gonna make both of us late if you keep going on like this.” He said, still covering her mouth.

 

Kagome frowned at him. She glared daggers at him from what he just said to her. How dare he expect her to just forget all that he's done to her? There's was no way that she was going to get in his car just so he can pull a prank on her that will bring her to the brink of tears. So she did the only thing she thought of at the moment. She quickly drew her knee up into his groin. He yelped in pain as he removed his hand from her mouth to hold his now crushed balls. Pretty bold of her to do that to him. After thinking about what he would do after he was to recover, she quickly ran into her house, closing and locking the door behind her.

 

Inuyasha however, eventually fell to his knees from the pain that was in between his legs. He let his forehead hit the ground as he continued to feel the pain.

 

`That little bitch!! If this wasn't a bet I would have killed her for doing that!!” He thought as he forced himself to stand up.

 

He limped back to his car and slowly sat down. He was still in pain but now he was determined. He was going to win this bet and make Kagome suffer for it in the end by revealing to her that it was a bet the whole time, that he had no feelings for her at all! He could imagine it, she would be crying, asking why did he do it? She thought that he loved her. He laughed at the thought and said to himself as he started his car;

 

“Nah bitch, you were just a bad lay just so I can keep my money and reputation.” A big smirk plastered his face. He knows now that the only way to get to Kagome is to act totally different from how he usually acts.

 

`Feh, being out of character is going to be different, but I'll do it to break that bitch's heart.' He thought as he drove off.

Kagome ran to the phone in the kitchen and quickly dialed Sango's number.

 

RING RING!!! RING RING!!!

 

`Please answer Sango! PLEASE!' Kagome silently begged. After a few more rings, someone picked up.

 

“Hello?”

 

Kagome looked out her window and saw Inuyasha limping back to the car, which kinda calmed her down, but would he leave?

 

“Hello, Sango? Is that you? Its Kagome!”

 

“Yeah it's me Kagome. What's the matter? You sound scared.”

 

“Where are you?!” Kagome frantically asked.

 

“Kagome?”

 

“WHERE ARE YOU?!”

 

“I'm on my way to get you, what's wrong? You're worrying me.”

 

(A/N: In my opinion I think Kagome is acting a bit too dramatic…but that's the way I'm making her feel at the moment, also take into consideration that's she's confused at Inuyasha's offer and what he might do when she gets to school.)

 

“Can you come get me first? I tell you when I get in the car.” She said, starting to calm down a bit.

 

Kagome looked out the window again and noticed that Inuyasha left. She let out a big sigh of relief. At least he was gone. About 6 minutes later, Sango parked in front of Kagome's house. Kagome came out just as Sango arrived and hopped into her car. Before driving off, Sango looked at Kagome with a concerned look on her face.

 

“Kagom..”

 

“Just drive, I'll tell you when you're driving.”

 

Sango sighed. She really wanted to know what was wrong with her friend. She did as she was told and drove away from Kagome's house and headed for the high school. She looked at Kagome and said;

 

“Well? Why all the hysterics? What happened?”

 

“It was Inuyasha…”

 

“*Gasps* What did he do to you Kagome?!”

 

“Well, nothing harmful. It's just that…”

 

“Hmm?”

 

“He drove up in his car and parked in front of my house before you got here. And he wanted to take me to school.”

 

Sango gave Kagome a puzzled look.

 

“Ok…so?”

 

“SO?! He probably was going to pull a prank on me! Or hurt me! There is absolutely no reason why I should trust that cuss after all that he did to me!”

 

“Kagome, you made me think that your life was in danger…”

 

“Sango! It was weird! Why would Inuyasha…INUYASHA, want to all of a sudden give me a ride to school? Why would he ever want to do anything for me? He hates me! He expresses it every single day! Would you have accepted the ride?”

 

“Well, no but…”

 

“Exactly.”

 

“Kagome, you're blowing this whole outta proportion. Just relax and stop being so paranoid. Maybe he's changed or something.”

 

“Sango! Don't make excuses for him! That's two-faced!” Kagome screamed.

 

“Kagome, calm down! You're bringing all of the dramatics too fast and all at once. And I'm NOT two-faced!”

 

Kagome took a deep breath. Maybe she was being paranoid. She leaned back into the seat and stayed quiet for a few minutes. Sango broke the silence.

 

“Kagome, I guess you were right for being a bit confused about the situation, but don't think that someone who bullied you would go through all the trouble of going to your house first thing in the morning just to pull a master prank on you. I think that's dumb.”

 

Kagome said nothing. She just glanced at Sango and continued to listen to her talk.

 

“Besides, maybe he likes you…”

 

Kagome sprang up and glared at Sango.

 

“What the hell would give you that idea???”

 

“Well, whenever I told my mother that a boy was pulling my hair in kindergarten, she always said that it's the way a boy express' that he likes you.”

 

*Kagome sweatdrops*

 

“Uh….Sango, that a little bit too immature.”

 

“Ya' never know. I have been right all the time so far right?”

 

“Can I finish now?”

 

“You weren't done? Oh! I'm sorry!”

 

“Well, after I said no, that you were going to take me, he told me to just get in the car. I said no and threatened to call the police. He keeps on trying to get me to get in the car with him so instead of staying there and saying no a million times, I headed for my house. He followed me, which got me really nervous, so I screamed. Then he covered my mouth!”

 

“Hmm, go on.”

 

“Then I got scared, so I….I…”

 

“What did you do?”

 

“I shoved my knee into his crotch…”

 

Sango looked at Kagome and blinked. Then she went into a fit of laughter.

 

“What's so funny Sango?”

 

“Oh My God, GOOD! Finally hurting Inuyasha and in the best place too! You go girl!”

 

Kagome blinked. She too burst into laughter.

 

Kagome then said;

 

“Oh God, what's he going to do to me when he sees me at school?”

 

“Eh?” Sango asked.

 

“Inuyasha. He's going to want to kill me after what I did to him!”

 

“There you go again on your panic attack. Kagome, let's just go to school and stop thinking about the bad things ok?” Sango said a bit annoyed.

 

“Ok, ok, I'ma calm down. I'm sorry Sango.”

 

“It's ok, besides, we're here.”

 

The girls got out of the car and grabbed their bags. They both walked into the school and went to their lockers, which were “Conveniently” right next to each other. When Kagome got to her locker, she realized that there was something sticking out of it. An envelope that read; “To Kagome” on it. She lightly elbowed Sango and showed her the envelope with a confused look on her face.

 

“Whose it from Kagome?” She asked as she glanced at it.

 

“I dunno…guess I have to find out.” She said as she carefully ripped the top part of the envelope off.

 

She began reading it with Sango standing behind her reading it as well.

 

Dear Kagome,

 

…….
