InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The Bliss of Nights Forgotten ❯ It Was You ( Chapter 6 )
By: EvilNekoEatsYourSoul
Last time: He wasn't aware of anything except the feeling of her lips against his, and how her body was pressed close against his. His eyes remained closed until he felt the warmth in his shoulder, which grew to a slightly painful burning. But he didn't want to stop kissing her; he never wanted to let her go ever again. She was his now. But even as this irrational thought filled his head she was pulling away from him.
She was staring at him, or more precisely, at his new arm. Both of them looked at the new limb, and then at each other. Her eyes were glowing now, filled with gentle power. She felt dizzy and wild; filled with the power the shikon no tama had given her to heal Sesshoumaru. They continued to gaze into each other's eyes, neither knowing what to say or do.
Chapter 6: It Was You
~*~
For the first time since the day she had met him she saw emotion flash across Sesshoumaru's face. Confusion was there, as was gratitude and yet over riding all that was. . . lust. She saw it clearly in his golden eyes and she shivered knowing the same emotion coursed through her own body. It seemed to fill the space between them making the air heavy and sending currents through her. She wondered distantly if he was getting the same charged feeling from the air.
She wasn't given much time to think or speak because he was there again. Holding on to her almost desperately with his arms around her waist, his tongue parting her lips. Kagome gave herself up to the kiss; letting him explore her mouth and body as his hands roamed over her. She couldn't think, her mind was dulled by the tremendous amount of power she had used to heal him and yet she wasn't exhausted; instead she was filled with a burning sense of excitement. The only things she knew were the things she could feel. Such as his hands now tangled in her hair, his tongue stroking her quivering lower lip before sucking on it gently.
It was much the same with the youkai. His blood was singing in his veins, he was complete, and yet he wasn't. As the miko pulled slightly away from him he was filled with a strange sense of emptiness. Just as he had felt the absence of his arm he now missed the feeling of her body pressed firmly against his. He wasn't thinking straight, any sense of control he had was now completely gone. He couldn't even find it in him to reprimand himself, he didn't care if this was wrong; it only heightened his need for her. He would have her. He had to have her. There was no other way. He grabbed her wrists firmly before she completely pulled away. Her eyes gleamed and he was sure he saw a need as great as his own there.
"Kagome," she whispered, he looked confused again and she smiled. "I want to hear you say it. You've never called me by my name." All he could do was nod before pulling her close again, his lips moving against hers as he uttered her name, "Kagome. . ."
Her eyes closed at the sound, the way he said it. . . It sounded incredibly erotic coming from him. The sound of his voice was making her knees weak and she was finding it difficult to stand without swaying a bit. There were a thousand sensuous feelings going through her body as he touched her.
This time his hands were much more adventurous, pulling at her kimono roughly. The fabric ripped easily in the youkai's claws and the top portion of it fell to hang around her waist where the obi was still tied and held the garment up. Not wasting anytime, his hands went to her breasts flicking the sensitive nipples and pinching them between his fingers. She gasped at the contact, and he looked at her closed eyes and parted lips. With one simple move of his clawed hand the obi fell to the forest ground in tatters.
There she stood with her clothes in pile at her feet, eyes closed and breaths heavy and unsteady. Waiting for him to do something, anticipating the feel of his skin against hers. She didn't have long to wait. His lips brushed against the base of her throat as he sank lower, his tongue running up along the silky skin between her breasts. Then his nose brushed the sensitive skin of her abdomen before going into the soft curls slightly above her thighs. She looked down at him as he knelt in front of her. Their eyes met and he licked the opening of her moist slit. Her tongue ran over her own dry lips; watching him as his lips found the sensitive skin above her opening as all thoughts vanished from her head and all strength from her limbs.
He caught her as she fell, his hands already caressing her heated flesh as they lay in an inelegant heap on the ground. Limbs and hair tangled with one another's. Urgency consuming them as both pairs of hands started to remove his clothing. Her hands roamed over his well-muscled chest and shoulders. She didn't want to wait any longer. A wild animalistic instinct in her wanted him to bring the satisfaction they both desired quickly. Her thighs parted for him as she looked into his eyes. As if knowing what she thought he entered her in one quick, powerful thrust that made her shiver.
Somewhere in the back of Kagome's mind registered the fact that there was no pain, but it was quickly forgotten as the beautiful male figure atop her took her lips in another searing kiss. She could do nothing but groan as he broke the kiss abruptly and began to thrust in and out of her in an almost violent manner. She moaned and writhed beneath him goading him to a faster pace and deeper thrusts.
She looked past his golden eyes and his platinum colored hair, she looked up into the night sky and it suddenly occurred to her; she had been here before. This had happened before. She remembered the dreams of her fevered sleep and now recognized what they really were. Her memories. Even as this realization hit her she was arching her back as a wave of pleasure hit her and her legs wrapped tightly around Sesshoumaru's slim waist.
~Kagome's flashback~
It had all happened before, her death and revival, training Rin, how she hated her life, the youkai attack. . . It had all happened before. Even what she had just experienced with Sesshoumaru. She remembered the first time. It had been in the very grove they lay in now. There were more. . . intimate memories of her and Sesshoumaru. After she had recovered from her depression she was able to really live again. She had befriended him and eventually. . . had fallen in love with him and surprisingly enough, he with her. Though he had never admitted it openly. Not until the end. . . and then she remembered that to. . . what had caused the memories to vanish. . .
Barely a month after arriving at Sesshoumaru's castle Inuyasha and the rest of her friends had come. Telling her they would be there to take her back to the well when she was done fulfilling her promise. Inuyasha had been upset, to find that she had formed a bond with Sesshoumaru. Something deeper then they had ever shared. He had gone off on his own but Sango and Miroku had decided to follow him, to make sure he was all right. But days passed and none of them returned. . . After two weeks Sesshoumaru and her had gone out to search for them. It didn't take long for them to find the remains. It took even less time to figure out what had happened. A powerful Youkai had attacked them, or at least Miroku and Sango. The area around them had been scorched, the ground and surrounding trees barren and black. The only things remaining of them were some burnt bones, Miroku's staff and Hiraikotsu. As for Inuyasha, nothing remained of him in the clearing. But near a stream just a mile away from the area they found Tetsusaiga, Inuyasha's fang sword. It was all the proof Kagome had needed; the hanyou would never have left the sword. He was dead. Then the guilt had set in. Inuyasha had been upset with her, that's why he left. A thousand thoughts went through her head `If only I had found a better way to tell him. . . If I had gone after him myself. . . If I had been with them I could have protected them' so many "ifs" As she stood sobbing and clinging to Sesshoumaru, ready to take her own life to end the guilt and grief, a voice had spoken to her. Not just a voice, the jewel had spoken to her. The Shikon no Tama had offered her a solution.
"This can be repaired, keeper." The voice had said, "There's no reason to grieve, I will help you undo this. The hanyou's task is not yet complete, his fate not yet met. He was not destined to die like this. You may undo this but it must be done soon, before the setting of the sun. I do not hold power over life and death, but I can alter time and this is the solution I offer: Use my power to reverse time." Hope had swelled in Kagome then, hearing that this terrible deed could be undone. But there was a price. . . of course; there was always a price.
"But, you will remember nothing of what has transpired. The demon lord you have fallen in love with, you will forget your feelings for him, and his feelings for you shall be forgotten as well." She had looked at him then, her face filled with both terror and worry. Could she give him up? Would they eventually find their way back to each other? The jewel sensed her thoughts and answered the questions plaguing her mind.
"It is unknown what will happen, you were not fated to love each other. Your task is complete and your choices are your own. What happens to you now if neither fate nor destiny. So long as you protect me, there is nothing more for you to accomplish. Fate is done with you. You will forget, as will he there is no saying whether or not you will fall in love again."
Her heart ached with the thought of it. Though he had never told her, she could feel that he loved her. To lose such a wonderful feeling. . . Could she live without him by her side? The few months she had spent with him were the most wonderful of her life. She had never felt so complete before. . . And yet, could she turn her back on her friends? No, there was no way around this, she couldn't live with the guilt and now she understood why Inuyasha had struck that bargain. Guilt. It is a terrible thing, gnawing at your heart until you feel you will surely die of it. Now she could understand.
As she turned to give Sesshoumaru an explanation, he had smiled at her. A sad upturning of the lips, and his eyes had held regret and even sorrow. But he nodded, seeming to understand that she had to do this. Tears fell from her eyes and he took her back to the grove where they had first made love. There they had stood, his arms encircling her as he told her for the first and perhaps last time "aishiteru. . ." and then, she used the Shikon no Tama to reverse time, memory and love.

Sesshoumaru continued his rhythmic pace, his hardened length plunging in and out of her. But she seemed distracted as her body arched into his and she cried out. He let the thought slip as his own orgasm came upon him and his back stiffened as his seed spurted into her. It took a lot of effort to keep from falling on top of her as his desire was finally sated. But now she was looking up at him with a strange glint in her eyes. Like she was expecting him to say something.

After they had disengaged themselves from one another Kagome stood; once again looking up into the dark sky. With a look of deep thought on her face she turned to say something but he cut her off before a word left her lips.
"Was it my brother?" he was back to his cold emotionless self at the moment, "or perhaps the monk?" She just looked at him, thoroughly confused with the question.
"What are you talking about?" she said, he actually looked a bit flustered at her question. She almost smiled despite all the troublesome thoughts. But the look in his eyes stopped her. He looked furious.
"You. . . " he was actually at a lost for words, he didn't now how to say it. "I. . .Just now. . . there was no pain for you. . . you're obviously not as pure as I thought. So… WHO WAS IT?" she flinched at his raised tone, he never yelled. He had always been calm, his voice and eyes were enough to convey whatever emotion he wanted you to know he felt.
She just stood there, a look or worry on her face, she seemed to be in deep thought. There was so much to tell him since he obviously hadn't regained his memories as she had, but she couldn't do it while he was in this mood. He just wouldn't believe her. Hell, she hardly believed what was happening.
"Well?" he was getting impatient.
"You really don't remember?" she started to fidget and he gave her a cold look and began to dress.
"Well. . . it was. . . it was you"
His eyes were narrowed as he turned towards her. His voice was soft and deadly. She couldn't help but shiver at the tone.
"Do not mock me! Before this, I never-" he ended abruptly, turning away from her. "Answer the question." He finished.
"Then first, answer mine. Have you been having strange dreams lately? Dreams about. . . me?" she had a feeling that everyone connected to the incident was experiencing the same strange feelings and dreams she had.
He stood there for a second with his mouth agape in surprise.
Taking this as a positive answer, she continued.
"I bet they were in this very grove, isn't that right? You had dreams about being with me, like this, in this very place." He nodded, a barely noticeable movement of his head.
"And," she began nervously "and, you felt. . . you. . . you loved me." She looked away as she said this, staring at her feet. She couldn't bear to look at him. She turned away and began to retrieve the slightly torn pieces of her clothing. Suddenly, strong arms wrapped around her pulling her into Sesshoumaru's warm body.
"I remember," he whispered, resting his chin on her head.
A lock of his silver hair tickled her arm and looking at it she was reminded of Inuyasha. Abruptly she pulled away from the youkai turning to face him.
"Don't touch me," her voice was shaky, as if she was afraid. "things are not the same between us, they can never be the same."
Surprised, Sesshoumaru could do nothing but stare at the back of her head, once again not knowing what to say.
