Kirara landed not far from the castle grounds near a deserted village.

 

“Hey! Why did you take me away from the castle?! It took me days to get up there!”

 

“I would be stupid to stay there for even a minute longer.”

 

“What about you? Weren't you peeping at the Tennyo too?”

 

“Tennyo? There is no Tennyo living in the castle.”

 

“But- Isn't it in the rumors? The Tennyo that lives there with her maid and monster.”

 

“That is the rumors… But it isn't true. The Tennyo you just saw isn't the mistress of the castle. And she isn't a Tennyo.”

 

“She isn't? That means she's the maid of the Tennyo?! What a pity! She was so beautiful.”

 

Miroku glanced at the stranger.

 

“Who are you? Why are you at the castle?”

 

The stranger looked at Miroku.

 

“I guess you are reliable enough to know my true identity. I am Michito, Crown Prince of the land.”

 

“Huh?! You're not kidding are you?”

 

“How dare you! It is already disrespectful enough that you do not bow when you see me.”

 

“Alright, I believe you…But bowing…”

 

“It's alright. Dismiss with the formalities. But, can you tell me what is the truth behind that castle?”

 

“That castle… Is the castle of illusions. Owned by a Youkai that had eaten a Tennyo to gain her immortality. My friends Kagome and Inuyasha are trapped inside.”

 

“Kagome? You mean the one that was taking a bath?”

 

“Yes. I was so close to being able to ask her for clues before you came barging in.”

 

“So, she's not a maid?”

 

“No. She's is the miko that protects the Shikon no tama.”

 

“Shikon no tama?! She is?”

 

“Yes, Inuyasha is a Hanyou that is also in search to reunite the pieces of the jewel.”

 

“Then she is worthy to be my bride! A Miko!”

 

“What!? You want to marry Kagome?!”

 

“I am the crown prince! There is no woman in the world that I cannot have.”

 

“Urgh. How I wish I was the crown prince.”

 

“Miroku…!! Did you see Kagome?!”

 

A young kitsune ran towards Miroku.

 

“EK!? What is this?!”

 

“Eh… This is Shippo one of our companions. Shippo, this is Michito, the crown prince.”

 

“Crown Prince?! Anyway, Miroku did you see Kagome?”

 

“Kagome-sama, I was this close to talking to her until Michito-sama here I caught peeping at Kagome-sama.”

 

“Ek! You peeped at Kagome?! You were lucky you weren't caught!”

 

“What are you anyway?”

 

“Me?! I'm a Kitsune Youkai!”

 

“YOUKAI?! Stay away from me!”

 

“Calm down, Shippo won't hurt you.”

 

“Yeah! I won't!”

 

“Meow!”

 

“Hey! Where's that big cat?!”

 

“Kirara is this one over here.”

 

“Another Youkai?!”

 

“She is like me, she won't bite.”

 

“Shippo? Where's Sango?”

 

“Sango went to fetch water.”

 

“Hey…Can someone tell me what's going on here?”

 

“Oh right… Shippo would you mind if you tell Sango we have a visitor?”

 

“Ok! Kirara let's go!”

 

“Now, I shall continue. About a year ago, Kaguya, the one who owns the castle appeared at first we thought we had defeated her… But soon, she appeared again. She captured Kagome-sama and used her as a bait to lure Inuyasha inside the castle. She then trapped Inuyasha's human form in the mirror and thus turning him to a full youkai at her command.”

 

“How despicable! Capturing a maiden and making her a youkai's servant!”

 

“Eh… Kagome-sama willingly stayed there.”

 

“Why?! Why would she stay beside a Youkai?!”

 

“Eh… That part of the story is rather long…”

 

“Houshi-sama! Did you find out anything?”

 

“Sango! No, I was stopped by Michito-sama here.”

 

“Who is he?”

 

“He says he's the crown prince.”

 

“Yes I am! Now, your cat can fly right?”

 

“Kirara can…why?”

 

“I want you to take me up back to the castle! I'm going to save the maiden from the youkai!”

 

“You?! Are you sure?” Shippo questioned him.

 

“Shippo's saying the truth. Are you sure?” Miroku looked at him with questioning eyes.

 

“I had fallen in love with the miko! I shall rescue her and make her my bride!” The crown prince exclaimed with confidence.

 

“What?!” Sango exclaimed.

 

“I don't think that is a good idea…” Miroku said.

 

“No! Saving the maiden is first! Bring me up now!” Michito commanded.

 

“No, we can't do that! It's too dangerous!” Sango warned.

“Then I shall climb up again!” Michito said.

 

“Sango, let's just bring him up.” Miroku said, sighing.

 

“Stubborn! You'll get yourself killed by Inuyasha first.” Shippo remarked.

 

“I am the crown prince! Why would I just get killed by a mere youkai!?” Michito said.

 

“Inuyasha won't let you near Kagome-sama.” Miroku said.

 

“True…Inuyasha would kill you first.” Shippo added.

 

“How dare a Youkai come close to my future bride! The more I shall need to save her!” Michito shouted.

 

“Houshi-sama. You didn't tell him did you?” Sango glanced at him.

 

“Ah…Haha! He didn't want to listen.” Miroku said, feeling a little guilty.

 

“Now take me up! Before nightfall!” Michito commanded.

 

“Are you sure, Houshi-sama?” Sango asked.

 

“It's rather than he bring a whole army here to invade and get killed by Inuyasha.” Miroku said.

 

“Alright then. I'll just drop him off the castle wall.” Sango sighed.

 

“Alright! Let's go!” Michito said.

 

“It's better if he finds out the truth himself…” Shippo looked at Kirara fly away.

 

“Kagome-sama will never leave the castle until she finds away to save Inuyasha.” Miroku said.
