(A/N: Gomen it's taking so me so long to update! I usually update everyday just about, but Thanksgiving break ended and school always screws things up. It's 10:14 PM now; I've been doing homework all evening! Well, I'll try to update soon! Oh, and my reviews are working now! Yay! )

The Criminal

Chapter 8

Kagome held Captive by Inuyasha

Naraku and the other's had arrived and Inuyasha told them about Kagome. "It's a lie! Kagome would never do something like that! She isn't like that!" Kouga protested. How could Kagome do something like that to them? She seemed like a sweet girl… "She's playing us Kouga! She's just waiting for the right time to strike… We're going to have to reschedule tonight. I'll call you later." Inuyasha said and headed toward the door. "Where are you going?!" Kouga growled. "To get the girl."

Kagome and Kanna walked down the halls together. Kagome checked her watch. They should be about to leave now. "Kanna? Show me where Inuyasha is." Kanna held up her mirror and the image of Inuyasha appeared. He was alone in… her room? Oh well, whatever… At least he was alone. It was perfect; she would catch him alone and unaware.

Kagome and grabbed Kanna's hand and they headed back to Kagome's room. "Didn't we just come from your room Kagome?" She asked. "Yes," Kagome replied, "but that's where Inuyasha is. Now be quiet, ok? We don't want him to here us." Kagome put up a special barrier around her and Kanna using her miko powers. Yes, she was a miko. People had told her she was very powerful, but she didn't think so. She couldn't even put up great barriers. This one only hides their sent.

Inuyasha knew Kagome was a miko, he could smell it on her. She was a powerful miko too. She would probably have some sort of barrier up. But Inuyasha knew what to expect so it would still be pretty easy to bring her down. Oh my god! Inuyasha is smart! Who knew?

(A/N: Yes, a smart Inuyasha! He actually has common sense in this fic!)

Kagome peered around the corner looking into her apartment thingy. (I really have no idea what to call it, it's not a room, it's like an apartment… but yeah, whatever.) Inuyasha had left the door open. Inuyasha stood with his back to her looking out the big window in the living room. Kagome readied her gun and crept into the room. She was about to make her attack when she felt her feet leave the floor. Her head was slammed hard into a wall and she heard a little girl, Kanna, scream. Kagome felt dizzy, she couldn't see and she didn't know what was going on or what happened. She closed her eyes and let herself fall into sweet unconsciousness.

(A/N: Yeah, ya gotta put `sweet' in front of `unconsciousness'. Just makes it sound better. )

Kagome groaned. She was awake but refused to open her eyes. She was tired and her head really, really hurt. She was laying on something extremely soft too. She realized without opening her eyes that she was in someone's bed. She felt someone pull the covers up over her more. Damn, soft bed! She felt like she was on a cloud. Even though she had no idea what a cloud felt like, she imagined that a cloud would feel this soft at least.

(A/N: Yeah, yeah, I know, I know! Clouds are made of water, and you can't sit on them or anything… And they just look fluffy that's all. But, KEY WORD `IMAGINED' )

She listened to the sounds around her and heard a buzzing noise and a man talking. The man would pause and she would here no respond, but then he would start talking again. She concluded the man was probably on the phone. She knew the man's voice; it was familiar. But she couldn't quite remember whose voice it was. And her head hurt so bad that she really didn't care to find out. She just wanted to sleep.

Kagome rolled to her side and pain shot through her head. Kagome's eyes shot open as well and she reached to her head and whimpered. It hurt! Kagome's site was dizzy but she could see a few blurs. It was daytime and she was in an odd sort of room. It was extremely small too. There was a man in front of her, but she couldn't see him very well. The man got out of his seat and kneeled down beside where she lay. He put a hand on her forehead.

Kagome's blurry site evened out and before her she saw Inuyasha looking worriedly at her. She looked around the room. They were in a plane. Oh no! What happened?! Had Inuyasha and the others robbed the casino and her been unconscious all night? Wait, where were the other's though? All she saw was Inuyasha and her stuff and what was probably his luggage.

Kagome opened her mouth to say something. Inuyasha smirked. "Feel better? Hmph! You're really smart. Did you really think you could book this Hanyou? I think NOT! I'm worlds most wanted criminal, you're just an FBI miko bitch!" Kagome's eyes widened. `Oh no! He found out before I got to him, and… Oh no, oh no, oh no!' Kagome panicked in her mind. "We had to delay our little visit to the casino." Inuyasha smiled. He didn't seem to care.

Kagome had been asleep most of the day after that. Now it was dark and she sat up looking out the windows. She saw lights from a city. Not near as much as Las Vegas's lights there, but they were still nice. Seeing a city from high up like this in a plane was such a pretty site. "Where are we going?" Kagome asked, bored, she didn't look up at him; she just stared out the window. "Paris." He replied, half asleep himself. Kagome looked over to him. "Paris? In France? Paris France?" Kagome asked; a bit surprised. There was nothing very important in Paris to rob or destroy or anything. Paris was just a place to site see, it was also known as the city of love.

"Yes, Paris France. What did you think?" He sounded a bit annoyed by the stupid question. "But… why?" She asked him. "I live here." Kagome was very surprised. Inuyasha lived in Paris? Wow. Who knew? "What? You think I lived in Japan? NOT. My mom used to live here. I was born in Japan but I moved here with my mother when I was young. My mother died and I was brought back to Japan." Inuyasha told her. "But I came back to live here when I was older. I like it here, it reminds me of her, my mom." He confessed. Kagome was even more shocked. What Inuyasha had just said was really touching; it was kinda scary! It almost made him seem like a nice, normal person (Well, ALMOST!); those little speeches of his (He had his moments).

Well, that's all! It's not much. But I'm getting there! And gomen again for the hold up on updating chapters. Oh my gosh I am sooo sleepy! It's 11:23 PM. And tomorrow I have a really long day. Oh, and tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY too! Oh boy! December 10th… Joy, Rapture, Glee. Well, birthdays are OK. Most of the time I try not to remind my friends about my birthday. I'm kinda afraid they'll start singing the `Happy Birthday' song to me. Some of my friends are nuts and would actually do that too. And I don't like my friends to fuss over getting me anything either. Some of my friends just insist on getting me something. But, whatever. I have such nice friends! Anyway, hopefully I'll have time to update tomorrow. If not… Oh well! I'll update soon enough! C ya!
