InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The End is Only the Beginning ❯ found agian ( Chapter 8 )

Sorry I took so long to update. I have been really busy the two last months seeing off my friends and getting ready to move back on campus. Not to mention I was not sober half the time. I apologize for the last chapter, I know it was really lacking in more than one area. I promise I will try to update more. If I do seem too disappear for a long period of time I am probably swamped with school work or to drunk to write. In addition to that midterms are coming up in two weeks. I promise I will not abandon this story. I was thinking about having a guest author. If any one of you is interested in doing a guest chapter that would be awesome. Just email me and we could lay out the details.
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or X-men
Treading on the edge of consciousness, Kagome strained to clear her dulled senses. With her eyes still closed her senses told her she was no longer with her two other companions, she was alone and lying on a soft bed. Lifting her heavy eye lids, she saw that she was indeed alone in a small room. The room was simple with few decorations, but something about the room gave off a familiar aura. There was something that felt so familiar yet she can not pinpoint what the feeling was. Brushing the feeling a side, Kagome decided to spread out her senses and try to find where Jean and Scott are being held. At first Kagome was taken aback by the large population of partial demons in the area. Focusing more on Jean and Scott's unique auras Kagome sensed them close by to the north seemingly unharmed. Right as she was about to bust out of this room and go rescue her friends, two mutants knocked on the door and entered.
Both mutants were male in their mid-twenties in appearance, though one had scaly purple skin and the other hand black fur and claws. As they walked in they both bowed in respect, “Our leader awaits your presence Ms. Kagome. We are here to show you they way.”
Kagome gazed at them suspiciously, but sensed no ill intent. In a stern voice Kagome said, “I will go with you, but answer this first. Where are my companions and what have you done with them?”
“No need to worry Ms. Kagome your friends are in good care, they are not injured in any way. Now please follow us this way”, said the scaly mutant.
Kagome followed the two mutants silently though a series of underground tunnels. As they got closer to their destination the strangely familiar youkai aura got stronger. The feeling was familiar it baffled her to no end. Then it suddenly hit her as they approached a set of metal doors, it was him. Kagome had not doubts about who she was feeling now. Standing nervously in front of the doors, Kagome could feel the nausea setting in from her anxiety. Reaching out with a trembling hand, Kagome grab hold of the cool metal handle and slow opened the door.
The room was dimly lit with a few candles. Standing in the soft candle light was really him. Though over the centuries he was no longer the little kit she knew; now he was a fully grown demon. The tall handsome figure with short spiky auburn hair stalked towards her frozen form. Getting out of her dazed state, tears poured from her starry blue eyes as she launched her self upon him.
The demon held the sobbing body lovingly against his chest. Too long has he missed her loving embrace, too long has he waited for the day he could see her again. Since the day she was taken away, he as felt as if a piece of himself has been torn away. Now he as her again, the woman he learn to love as family, almost like a mother. Stroking her hair lovingly, he whispered softly in her ear. “Shhh… it is all ok now Kagome nee-san. We are together again, we have each other now. I promise nothing will ever separate us ever again.”
Kagome looked up teary eyed at the fox demon, “I missed you so much Shippo. I promise to never leave you alone ever again, never.”
