CHAPTER 12
The next morning Kagome and Inuyasha went on a morning walk.
“Kagome do you think that we will ever get the Jewel Shard back and defeat Naraku?” Inuyasha asked.
“Yes I think we will get it back and defeat Naraku!” Kagome said.
“Then what?” Inuyasha asked.
“Well I am Kikyo’s rencarnation so I guess I will have to keep it.” Kagome said.
“Where are you going to go once we do all that?” Inuyasha asked.
“Well….umm…I don’t know.” Kagome said.
“Oh.” Inuyasha said. “Kagome I never told you this, but you know that dream you told me about awhile ago….” Inuyasha started.
“Yeah.” Kagome said.
“…Well I have that same dream every night.” Inuyasha finished.
“So have I and my grandpa said that if you have the same dream more than once its most likely to come true.” Kagome said.
Just then Inuyasha blushed.
“I love you Inuyasha.” Kagome said.
“I love you too Kagome.” Inuyasha said.
Now Inuyasha and Kagome didn’t know that Miroku and Sango where watching and listening behind a tree.
Kagome hugged Inuyasha and he hugged her back. Sango and Miroku where very surprised about the dream.
“I wonder if that is really going to happen.” Sango said.
“I don’t know.” Miroku said.
“Hey let me see!” Shippo said.
Miroku was holding Shippo and covering his eyes.
“No this is not for a young one such as you to see.” Miroku said.
“Aw come on!” Shippo yelled.
“Inuyasha did you hear that?” Kagome asked.
“No.” Inuyasha said.
Kagome picked up a rock and chucked in into the bushes near them.
“Take that spies!” Kagome yelled.
“Ahh!!” Shippo yelled. “Kagome that hurt!”
“Why where you guys spying on us?” Kagome asked.
Everyone was speechless.
“I don’t care why!” Inuyasha yelled and got up and started running after Sango and Miroku and Shippo.
“Hey! Get back here!” Inuyasha yelled.
“Um no thanks!” Miroku yelled running.
The next morning Sango was the first one to get up.
“Kohaku.” Sango thought.
“Sango what are you doing up so early?” Kagome asked.
“Oh just thinking.” Sango said.
“Sango remember when we first met?” Kagome asked.
“Yeah.” Sango said.
“Well…what I am trying to say is, Sango you are my best friend.” Kagome said with a smile.
“Same here.” Sango said.
“Kagome?” Sango said.
“Yeah.” Kagome said looking at Sango.
“Do you think Kohaku is ok?” Sango asked.
“I’m sure he is fine.” Kagome said in a worried voice.
“Because I want to get him back and see if I cant make him remember everything.” Sango said.
“Well he is living off a jewel shard.” Kagome said. “So we are going to have to get it from him in order to make the jewel full again.” Kagome said.
“Yes I know.” Sango said.
“But maybe I can…no I couldn’t it would be wrong the jewel needs to become full again.” Sango thought to herself.
“Come on you too lets get going!” Inuyasha yelled.
“Coming!” Kagome and Sango yelled back at him.
“Kagome, Sango has been looking sad lately, do you know why?” Miroku asked.
“I think its because she doesn’t want Kohaku to die. Because we have to get that jewel shard from him, but that’s what keeps him alive and Sango is worried.” Kagome said.
“At least that’s what I think.” Kagome said.
“Yes I suppose so.” Miroku sighed.
Kagome then ran over to Inuyasha and started talking to him.
“Hey.” Kagome said walking up to Inuyasha.
“Hey.” He said back to Kagome.
“You know what.” Kagome said.
“What.” Inuyasha said looking at Kagome as if she was going to say something about senceing a jewel shard.
“Now that I think about it, when I first met you Inuyasha it was my 15th birthday.” Kagome said with a smile.
With a rather odd look on his face Inuyasha said “That’s it! I thought you where going to say that you sensed a jewel shard!”
“Well it just came to mind and I said it, because I don’t think you knew that!” Kagome yelled. “And I thought you would have been happy to know that!” Kagome yelled again.
“Well you don’t have to bite my head off!” Inuyasha yelled.
Inuyasha and Kagome stopped walking and started argueing.
“Here we go again…” Sango said.
“I rather enjoy their fights.” Miroku said. “Its kind of funny.” Miroku said with a smile.
The next day Sango was yet again the first one to wake up.
“Kohaku! NOOOOOO!” Sango yelled wakeing up.
“Sango what’s wrong?” Miroku said walking up to her.
“Oh nothing I just had a bad dream.” Sango said.
“Inuyasha I can sense a jewel shard coming this way.” Kagome said.
“I can smell Kohaku’s sent coming too.” Inuyasha said to Kagome.
“What!” Sango yelled. “Kohaku.” She thought.
“Now is the perfect time to get the jewel shard from him!” Inuyasha said.
“Yes. Your right.” Kagome said.
“Kohaku.” Sango thought.
Sango got dressed into her demon slayer uniform.
“Here it comes…” Kagome said.
It was getting dark outside.
“What! But its still day time!” Shippo said. “Why is it getting so dark. He said in a scared voice gripping on Kirara’s fir.
“Stop being such a baby Shippo!” Inuyasha yelled.
And there stood Kohaku. He lifted his weapon and started running for Inuyasha. Kohaku struck at Inuyasha but missed.
“Damn him!” Inuyasha yelled.
“I wonder if Inuyasha is really going to kill Kohaku, and if he does I wonder what Sango will do.” Kagome thought to herself.
“Your done for!” Inuyasha yelled.
And with that Inuyasha took out the tetsusaiga.
“I’ll use my Wind Scar on him.” Inuyasha thought.
“Kohaku.” Sango thought. Sango couldn’t move even if she wanted to.
“The jewel shard is in his back so I will aim for his back, that will kill him.” Inuyasha said.
But then he looked at Sango.
“Sango.” Inuyasha thought. “What will you do once I kill Kohaku?”
“What are you looking at me for! KILL HIM!” Sango yelled at Inuyasha. “Even though I don’t want him to die…” Sango thought.
Inuyasha got a surprised look on his face.
“Here goes nothing..” Inuyasha thought.
Inuyasha jumped into the air and sliced through Kohaku’s back. The jewel shard came out and landed right in front of Sango.
“KOHAKU!” Sango yelled and ran over to him forgetting about the jewel shard in front of her.
Sango ran over and hugged Kohaku. “Oh Kohaku.” Sango said.
