On with the story….

 

Kagome cried herself sick and she puked until there was nothing left in the pit of her stomach except bile and disgrace. She couldn't believe she'd given him the jewel so easily.

 

Kagome,” her mother called to her from the hallway. Shit. Kagome mumbled under her breath.

 

“Are you alright” inquired her mother, softly as not to wake Souta up.

 

“Yes.” Kagome lied flatly.

 

“Are you sure?” Her mother asked again.

“Yes, mom I'm sure.” Kagome lied again but her voice did reveal something. “Just go away mother.” She added forcefully.

 

“Kagome, I realize your upset, so I will not yell at you, but I'll have you know that I do not appreciate that tone.” Her mother retorted slightly forceful as well but gave into her daughter's request.

 

After her mother left, Kagome curled up in fetal position on her bathroom floor silent tears still streaming down her face.
