If you don't like that sort of thing don't read, r & r otherwise. Chapter 7 Inuyasha walked aimlessly through the huge castle. He couldn't wrap his mind around the fact that Sesshoumaru had all this and for several years he had had nothing. Though now he wouldn't trade his life for anything. In his eyes Inuyasha had all he needed and could ever want. 'Well maybe not everything but at least Kagome is back.' He started back down the stairs, he had seen all that the upper floors had to offer. Inuyasha found Miroku and Sango along with Sesshoumaru's private chambers. That was interesting, he was tempted to go in but decided he would rather not risk Sesshoumaru's fury. At lease not until they got Kaido back. As Inuyasha headed down the hall where Sesshoumaru had led them to the dining room something caught his nose. It was the room Sesshoumaru said was for the woman to bathe in. Kagome was in there... She smelled just as she did all those years ago when she left. Of innocence, purity, and still a bit of danger. That smell always threatened to intoxicate Inuyasha back when they searched for the Shikon. Everything about Kagome had called for him to make her his, but he was a fool and now it was too late. He peeked in and looked at her. She was as gorgeous as ever and he doubted that would ever change. Her golden skin, her long raven colored hair, her deep blue eyes, and her curves. More than anything her body drove him crazy, he had always craved to touch her body. Inuyasha seemed to lose touch and command over his body. He slid the door open silently and stepped slowly in. His blood pounded in his chest and suddenly he felt his youkai trying to take over, his youkai wanted Kagome. Inuyasha could feel himself losing touch with himself... From inside himself he watched as his youkai lunged at Kagome. She turned at the last second and saw him. As her power surged forward he saw something on her shoulder, then black. ~*~ Sesshoumaru stood over Inuyasha and Kagome. He had heard the commotion and felt the surge of power and came as soon as he could. He found Inuyasha unconscious on the floor and Kagome with deep bloody gashes on her arms. It was obvious what almost happened. Kagome looked down at Inuyasha. 'Why did you do it? I know you can control him when you have the Tetsusaiga with you so why?' "Kagome." She turmed towards Sesshoumaru, "What?" "What happened?" She looked back down at Inuyasha. "I was bathing and I guess he was watching me..." Sesshoumaru's eyes hardened. "Then he deserves what he got." "I could have killed him Sesshoumaru! Doesn't that bother you?!" "Several things that should bother me don't anymore." He walked out without another word. Her eyes clouded with tears as she looked down at Inuyasha. "Why?" He started to stir. Kagome looked at him expectantly. "Inuyasha?" He opened his eyes and winced. "What the-" "Are you alright?" His eyes focused on her, "Kagome? What happened?" "You tried to attack me..." Inuyasha couldn't really remember anything that happened. All he remembered was things getting clouded then... He furrowed his brows and narrowed his eyes at her. "On your shoulder..." She put her hand up to her shoulder and looked him in the eyes. "Inuyasha..." He shot up and pulled her shirt away from her shoulder. There on her shoulder was the mark he had seen before he blacked out. "You didn't..." "Inuyasha let me explain!" "No! What is there to explain? It's clear as day to me!" He let her go and left her alone in the room. She looked down at the floor as tears fell from her eyes. "Inuyasha... I'm sorry." He ran down the hall stopping for no one. He passed Miroku on his way through and didn't even pause. Inuyasha knew Sesshoumaru had a dojo and that was where he was headed. He desperately needed to break something. It wasn't long before Inuyasha found the dojo and to his shock Sesshoumaru was there too. He growled, "Sesshoumaru." Sesshoumaru turned and looked at him impassively. "Leave now." "You presume to order me in my own home?" "Please." "No, I will not leave. You have already caused trouble in my home and you are lucky that you aren't dead." His eyes leveled on Inuyasha and stayed there. "Kagome wouldn't kill me I know that." He growled, "I would have killed you hanyou. Blood has never been spilled in my home save today's inccident. "I'm not bleeding!" "Kagome was." He faltered, "I didn't... I don't remember what happened." "Well now you know." He turned away from Inuyasha and continued his workout. Inuyasha looked at Sesshoumaru's back and all he saw was what was on Kagome's. He growled loudly and lunged at Sesshoumaru's turned back. "You bastard!" Sesshoumaru jumped away. "What is your problem? Inuyasha, I will not hesitate to kill you." His eyes narrowed, "Of all people... I can't believe you!" Inuyasha rushed Sesshoumaru again with increased speed. He continued to dodge not attacking once. Sesshoumaru had no idea why Inuyasha was attacking him so he wasn't about to attack. Miroku came to the dojo door and watching wide eyed as Inuyasha continuely attack with no hits. He felt someone beside him and from the corner of his eye saw Kagome. She looked at them... This was her fault and she knew it. She reached out with her power and strengthened the bond she held with him. Now her power would surge forward in his blood and protect him. Inuyasha felt immense miko power come from before him and felt himself being pushed back. Sesshoumaru had a miko barrier around him. Sesshoumaru looked down, he barely had time to register the strengthening of the bond before the barrier went up to protect him. He looked back at Kagome before turning to his brother. "You took her from me... How could you?" His eyes widened slightly, unnoticably. Now he knew why Inuyasha was attacking him. "How did you find out?" "She has a mark... and its your mark! The mark of our family!" "You saw it on her when she was bathing." "Now answer my question." Sesshoumaru stared at him calmly. "I didn't steal anyone from you. You were chasing Kikyo and Kagome was left on the sidelines. I got to know her and made her mine." Miroku looked at Kagome in astonishment, "Kagome?" She nodded silently. "Why didn't either of you ever tell me?! Why was I left in the dark?" He looked back at Kagome, "I thought I was your friend?" Hurt showed in her eyes, "Don't you dare pull that on me Inuyasha. I stood by you for years and let you treat me no better than trash while you loved Kikyo. You have no right to lecture me on friendship." "That doesn't mean you have to act like you two aren't mates. This whole time you've been together since you got back... or did you ever really leave?" She glared at him, walked over to him and slapped him. "How dare you?! You have no idea what I have gone through in the last five years. I did leave... I left the only one I have even truly felt love from and my son. I didn't get to see him, I didn't get to help raise him, and now I have to rescue him to see him! Don't you ever question me on my past." Inuyasha looked at her astonished, "Kagome..." He reached out but she pulled away. "Leave me alone Inuyasha." She walked out of the room and left an akward silence in her wake. He looked at his brother, "Aren't you going to chase after her? Make her feel better?" Sesshoumaru punched him hard in the stomach. "If I ever find out that you are watching Kagome or anyother female while they bathe in my home I will kill you." Then Sesshoumaru picked him up and punched him in the face, "If you ever insult me in my home again I will render you limb from limb." His hand started to grow green and the smell of burning flesh filled the room, "You get one warning for this. If you ever, ever upset or insult my mate in any way I will tear you into shreds and ensure that you burden no one." He dropped Inuyasha. He made a sicking thud on the floor as he fell unconscious. Sesshoumaru didn't look down at him as he walked to the door. He stopped in the doorway and looked at Miroku, "Take him down the hall, there he can get bandaged up and have the poison burns treated." Miroku nodded quickly. "Also, tell no one what happened here and what you know. If Kagome wishes to tell the others then she can." With that Sesshoumaru walked out. Miroku rushed over to Inuyasha. He wasn't hurt too badly just banged up. He picked him up and took him where Sesshoumaru instructed. ~*~
