Author's Note: I know, it's been awhile since I've updated. I'm finding it hard to get around to extra things with school starting again. Oh well, I try. I once again feel a great sense of thanks to those of you who have been reading and reviewing, it's nice to know I'm not just doing this for myself, please keep giving me your thoughts! Well, on with chapter four!

Inuyasha woke in the middle of the night to the sounds of peaceful sleep from his companions. Having been a light sleeper he had witnessed this scene many times before and it always resembled this. Over the years they had all established their own unspoken sleeping areas. Kagome slept next to Sango with Shippou usally sharing her sleeping bag. Miroku slept as close to the two girls as possible while still being out of the range of Hiraikotsu.

Inuyasha's mind kept replaying the last two days. Things had changed fast, but felt that this was how they were supposed to be. It figured though that in his life fixing one problem meant creating several new ones. He now needed to complete the Shikon no Tama as soon as possible and figure out what to do about Kikyou too. He needed to get away and think this out for a moment.

Inuyasha rose and headed for the door after taking a long look at Kagome's sleeping form. It was amazing how much someone he had completely resisted in the beginning now meant to him. As he walked the familar path to the tree he had been sealed to he stopped hearing something not far behind him.

"You can come out Miroku, I know your here.", Inuyasha said with a stab of annoyance.

The monk stepped out of the shadows with a slight grin on his face.

"I heard you leave and was simply wondering if there was anything you would like to talk about. Perhaps about what happened with Kagome-sama the other night?"

Inuyasha sighted as he sat down at the base of a tree for the talk he knew was coming.

"What makes you think anything happend?", He replyed.

"Well, it surely wan't hard for a man of my stature to firgure out. Though discreet the signs were visable to my well trained senses.", Gloated Miroku.

"I'm sure." Said Inuyasha dryly.

"Oh yes, by the looks you were sending each other I take it your decision between Kikyou-sama and Kagome-sama has been made, with the right choice in my opinion, and none to soon mind you.", The houshi added.

"Whats that suppose to mean?!", Said Inuyasha, the annoyance now showing in his tone.

Inuyasha knew that though no one had ever really said anything to discourage him from being with Kikyou, his companions had all still been on Kagome's side. I was probably only to be expected that they would side with their friend so he never really gave it much thought. Still, even though he was now confidant in his feelings tword Kikyou and Kagome, he couldn't help but wonder what made everyone eles so sure.

" It simply means that it amazes me how much trust and patiance Kagome-sama had in you. It took you long enough to realize where your love was."

"What makes you think you know anything about my love, houshi?"

"Are you asking my oppinion on the matter, Inuyasha?"

"As much as I hate to even think I would do such a thing, yes.", Said Inuyasha, not really sure if wanted to hear whatever advice the monk was going to give him.

"Well, heres my take on the whole thing. You and Kikyou-sama were both looking for a quick solution. You were both lonely and wanted someone to fill that void and the other was a convenant fix. You in so much of a hurry to make yourselves love each other that you didn't find time to really develop things like a sense of trust to build your relationship on. In the end thats what lead to both your down falls. She was immediatly willing to believe the worst in you and in return you did the same to her. You both carried your grudges until the evidance that niether of you was a traitor was stareing you in the face. Even now she doesn't fully trust you, thus her initial jelousey of Kagome-sama. But, Kagome-sama's faith in you was never shaken, even after that kiss she saw between you and Kikyou-sama. I really don't think that anything like what happend between you and Kikyou-sama could happen to you and Kagome-sama. The level of trust is too deep.", Miroku said simply.

Inuyasha stared at him. Now that he thought about it there was some truth to what Miroku was saying. When he had first meet Kikyou he was lonely. His mother had been killed and now he was stuck in a world that didn't exept or want him. He had been eagar to believe that what he had with Kikyou was real. That she was someone who understood and wanted to help him. But none of that was really real. Kikyou too had been absorbed in her own feelings and he had always feelt third to those and the Shikon no Tama. At the time though he just convinced himself that this was as good as love got and there were sacrifices to be made. It was better then being alone again.

Then of couse he had meet Kagome. It was obvious that she was different, that the feelings he got were different. Inuyasha tried to imagine him ever hateing Kagome the way he had hated Kikyou. It just couldn't happen.

"It makes sense I suppose.", Said Inuyasha slowly,"But what do you suggest I do about Kikyou? I love Kaogme but, I don't want to just walk away from Kikyou. I couldn't do that to her, even now."

"No one is telling you to simply walk away. I think that the best thing that you could do for Kikyou now is to help her to move on. She doesn't belong here and now that you've moved on she has no reason really to stay. Now if you'll excuse me, Sango is sleeping all alone and I really think that I should be there before she wakes.", Said Miroku, the lecherous grin returning to his face.

Inuyasha hesitated a second before deciding to head back with him. He had thought about what he needed to and there was no way he was leaving Miroku alone with two sleeping women, especialy when one of them was Kagome.

Inuyasha knew that Miroku was right about everything. He should help Kikyou rejoin the dead, where she belonged. That wouldn't be easy though. Inuyasha had known the live Kikyou to be very stubborn and this dead Kikyou was even more willful. She wouldn't go easy, but Inuyasha refused to believe that all of the Kikyou he had once known was gone, there had to be something of her former self left in her. He would convince her that this was best.

Kagura frowned to herself as she flew silently through the night on her giant feather. She had heard Naraku's plan but had serious doubts about the whole idea. The problem was that the scheme involved so many people's emotions, which she had often found to be a very unpredictable thing. Going into head on combate or useing demons was one thing, but here he was trying to harness the impulses of some very complicated people.

"Oh well,"She thought to herself," If this whole thing blows up it's Naraku who will pay for it, and that would suit me just fine. I'm sick of doing his dirty work."

Just then Kagura caught sight of her target. Lowering the air-born feather she made a graceful jump to the ground in front of a tall man dressed in white robes with a boa around his shoulders.

"Hello Sesshoumaru-sama.", greeted Kagura a slight smile on her face,"It's been a while has it not?"

Sesshoumaru looked at her with his usual emotionless expression.

"Not since I turned down your offer against Naraku. What is it you want now wench?", Sesshoumaru replyed passively.

"I bring some information and a proposition for you from Naraku regarding your half-brother, Inuyasha.", Said Kagura, her expression now growing serious in response to his own.

"Uhmp, It surprises me that Naraku would still choose to rely on such a viper of a women to be his messanger. Surely he is not obliviouse to your earlier plottings against him."

"Probably not, but there are so few who would be succsessful in delivering this type of improtant information. Do you want it or not?", fired Kagura, her impatiance once again getting the best of her.

"The doings of my lowly half-brother are not my concern. But my bet is your going to tell me anyway because it's important to Naraku that I know. So make it quick. I have more important things to do then be involved in his petty schemes.", Said Sesshoumaru coldly.

"Inuyasha confessed his feelings for that wench Kagome. She now unknowingly carries his child. It's a most vonerable time for him. We just thought that you would like to know.", Said Kagura.

"I'll take it into consideration.", Said Sesshoumaru motioning to Jaken and Rin that they were leaving.

Seeing that the conversation was over Kagura took to the air once again. She wasn't sure what to think. Sesshoumaru wasn't a fool and would obviously suspect some sort of motive behind Naraku handing over this information, Naraku must know this too. She supposed that Naraku thought that Sesshoumaru would over look this for such a perfect time to strike on his hated half-brother.

Sesshoumaru watched as Kagura's figure faded from view.

"So, Inuyasha has a pup coming.", Sesshoumaru thought to himself,"Telling me is obviously a buy to get me to attack, but there has to be more to that baka Naraku's plan. If the child is in the belly of a human then he's probably going to involve the Yousima some how. I should keep an eye on things for awhile."

"Naraku, Gotama-sama has arrived.", Said a faint voice in the shadows.

"Good, show him in Kanna."

The girl in white lead in a human looking Youkai. The youkai named Gotama steped in the room with an annoyed look. Though one might mistake him as human at first glance the horns on his head, blue streaks across his cheeks, and startiling dark aura gave him away as a powerful youkai.

"What is it you want Naraku?", Sneered Gotama,"You had better have a damn good reason for summoning me like this, espeacially after last time."

"No need to be testy Gotama. I assure you you will find my reasoning most sound. You might as might as well sit down. I have need of the services of the Yousima and there is much to discuss.", Said Naraku, the familar smirk appearing on his face.

Through the woods slipped a women dressed as a miko with dozens of illuminating snake-like creatures surrounding her. She suddenly stopped and gazed through the trees at a small village. There were faint signs of the people with in the huts beginning to stir.

"It's been a long time since I've visited my childhood village.",The women thought,"Even from here I can sense his presence. I wonder if he's holding her in his arms right now as he used to me."

The women's expression suddenly went from a passive one to one filled with anger. A dark energy started to swirl around her, lifting near by fallen leaves. Then things settled as she regained her composer and banished her happy thoughts of watching a certain reincarnation die.

"Won't you be surprised to see me Inuyasha."
