Kagome gasped as Inuyasha sprang at her, she fell back onto her bed and he followed her down. He landed, heavy and hot to crush her under him. His breath was steam upon her face. His long fingers snaked under her nightgown and up her inner thigh. His face inches from hers she could see her shock reflected in his eyes. His tongue slipped passed his teeth, warm and slimy he ran it from her chin to her ear. His nails dug into her underwear, savagely pulling them, digging into her skin as though he had claws.
“Please no,” Kagome managed, writhing under his grasp. He smiled, showing sharp white teeth she had never noticed before.
“You can't fight me Kagome. I control this world. So long as you need to sleep, you'll do as I say.”
Kagome panicked, struggling helplessly. She barely noticed when he tore her gown away. He held her there, screaming in agony as he touched her. It hurt, god it hurt. But she didn't know why.
She struggled to get away, trying desperately to escape this. “Inuyasha!!!!!!” She cried, tears streaming down her face as he prepared to enter her.
“Get the FUCK off her!” she heard a shout, it seamed so familiar. There was a new presence in the room, it was so soothing and it eased some of the pain. She heard something break and felt him being pulled off her.
“Kagome!” The voice called again, but she couldn't move. She didn't want too. She lay sprawled out on her bed, bare and vulnerable. Inuyasha leaned over her, and a new wave of panic flooded through her.
Something wasn't right about him though, he sat looking pale and frightened. Calling out to her as if he didn't know what was going on, why she was crying. She slowly sat up furiously wiping at the tears. Her body was terribly sore.
She noticed a shifting in the corner of her room and saw a bare figure struggling to stand up. From her blurred vision it looked like Inuyasha, but it wasn't. Now that he was beside her she new that they were different. She wondered how she could have mistaken him. Had he really been gone so long that she had forgotten what his presence in her mind felt like?
The figures eyes were brown instead of the golden-hazel and its hair was shorter than his. She stared at it as it slowly melted into a pile of earthen-smelling soil and was gone.
Inuyasha clutched her to his chest and she turned her attention to him. He was covered in a thick black fabric and his face was smeared with blood. She straightened up, frightened for him. Reaching out she wiped a streak of the dried crimson substance away. His sorrowful eyes met her worried ones and he smiled. Pulling her closer, holding her as tightly as he possibly could without causing her more pain.
“Inuyasha,” she cried into his shoulder as he held her. Suddenly pulling back she slapped him hard across the face. He stared at her shocked. “Why the hell did you leave me like that you jerk! That was the meanest trick you've pulled yet! I can't believe you!” She slipped out of his limp arms and scooted to the edge of the bed. “And then you appear like this, I mean what's wrong with you?! That actually hurt!” tears started to reappear at the edges of her eyes and she tried to blink them away. “What am I to you? I'm probably just some big practical joke hu? Am I really so gullible? Do you hate me so mu—” She was cut off when Inuyasha pulled her to him again, tighter this time, afraid to let go.
“No Kagome, never. I could never describe how I feel for you if I had the rest of eternity to do so, and you know I do. Oh Kagome, I thought I wouldn't be able to see you again? How did I get here?”
Kagome blinked, her lashes flickering softly against his cheek. “What are you talking about? Why haven't you come seen me?”
“Kagome, there's something going on, something weird.”
“Like the fact that I'm dating a ghost?”
“Kagome, no kidding ok? I'm serious! These people have me trapped? I can't get out? I don't even know how I'm here right now; I've been trying to get to you for days! I—”
Kagome fell onto the scarlet comforter with a soft thud, she looked around but Inuyasha was gone, torn away from her once again.

“AHHG!” The large man with purple skin screamed as his mind was sent hurtling back to him. He picked up the clear crystal ball he used to delve into minds and threw it at the stone walls of the library cellar.
“What's wrong Goshinki?” Urasue asked, stepping out from the shadowy corners, her cloak-hood pulled up over her face.
“That damn boy was there! He has quite the hold over the girl, a direct contact to her spirit.”
“How do you figure that my friend?”
“She called out to him. The bitch called out to him and he answered! He was there! He threw your doll into a fucking wall!”
“Hmmmf, well…we must sever their bond…Tell Kouga to hold off on the soul probing until we get a better grasp on him. We mustn't relive this or any of our previous incidents with the young man. Apparently he has had a long time to become attached to this world.” With a wave of her withered white hand she dismissed him.
“Yes, Urasue,” he mumbled as he descended the second set of stairs, leading further down into the old library's basement.

Kouga slid is eyes open and stared up at the burr of black and purple color before him, slowly his vision cleared and he sat up steadily. “Yes sir?” He inquired as Goshinki stood over him in a superior stance.
“Urasue says no more probing the bastard's soul, too many risks right now.”
“What? Are the aliens getting jealous?” he grinned as he pulled the covers up enough to cover a sleeping Ayame's bare chest.
“No jokes you shit! Stay out of the kids memories until the boss says so!” With that He turned and walked out of the small storage room that was Kouga's bedchamber, slamming the wooden door.”
“Well, I guess I have an open schedule now don't I?” He smiled slightly, looking at the slumbering woman beside him. He raised the covers over himself and softly kissed her forehead. Settling himself down beside her he wrapped his arms around her and drifted back to sleep.

Urasue made her way down into the farthest part of the library; here there was a sealed off door leading even deeper into the ground. The library had two underground levels, an ordinary basement and an off limits book floor, they placed the older text and original copies in this place, letting only a privileged few glance upon them. But there was a third level, used for indescribable deeds done by the old owner of the building.
The owner had kidnapped you women and girls and taken them down into this level where he raped and tortured them continuously. When the law officials finally captured him and found the gruesome scene the level was sealed off, never to be used again.
She turned the knob with a grin. The door creaked open to show a dark stairway. She flicked on the lights and started down. The air was cold in the narrow stairwell, with none of the comforting smell of books. A single bare bulb burned, sending sickly yellow beams to show the stains of blood on the dusty stone steps. Streaks of blood ran in a stripe across the walls, she could picture a bloody young woman dragging her hand across it in a futile effort to stop the man who was carrying her down into the darkness.
The way ended at an echoing dark hallway. Urasue flicked on another set of lights to illuminate a hallway with a low ceiling, the walls stark cinder block stained red with more bloody handprints streaking at a five foot level. Floor to ceiling iron gates ran down the length of the hall, doing nothing to hide the chains and abandoned weapons that not even the evidence crew dared to touch. Skeletons with missing pieces littered the floors and hung from some of the chains in awkward positions. Poor souls who where left behind the cement blockade to rot in the moist air.
She walked all the way down into the main chamber at the end. It was always at the end…the last place anybody checked and the first place they suspected, this large iron entryway indeed suited its contents. She grasped the antique style iron rings and pulled open one of the large heavy doors with sufficient effort.
Indeed, inside a young man draped in a black cloak hung limply from thick rusty iron chains attached to the high ceiling. A circle of burning candles and bowls of dried herbs surrounded him. The dim glow reflecting off the rusted, dusty metal blades lined up against the wall made the scene before her well over satisfying. It was indeed a moment meant to be untouched by time.
A small dripping noise caught her attention and she made her way through the rows of candles, careful to not catch fire. She stood before Inuyasha, his cloak open in the front from when Kouga had pried into his essence. She ran a dried wrinkled finger down his bare chest, her dark red nails leaving a pale pink streak on his skin.
She gazed up at his wrists, clasped in the shackles of the chains. He had been struggling, no doubt when he felt the call of his living lover, but the worn metal edges had opened deep gashes. The blood trickling down his arms and dripping into his hair, streaming down his face it slowly slid down his chin and dripped to the floor.
Urasue sighed and carefully unlocked the shackles, allowing him to fall to the floor in the poodle of blood. “The price of visiting you woman my child, you mind and spirit are now exhausted from the trip,” she sighed, “and your body is losing a lot of blood. What a stupid thing to do, dieing again for the one you supposedly love.”

“Hey!” A young woman's voice cut through the silent night as she pried at the nails in the wooden planks across two large cherry wood doors. “Help me with this will ya!”
“Cannit I can't touch solid things any better than you can!” came the whispered reply.
“Damn it Nuraku, if you just tried to help we might be able to do this! See, I can kind of get a grasp on the nails!” She tried unsuccessfully to convince him that she could touch the solid object but to no avail, the both knew it was impossible.
“Kikyou, didn't you say he's been hanging around some old dump for the past few months?”
“It's not a dump, it's a house!” She hissed at him. Kikyou finally gave up one trying not to pass through the wood and hovered over to her soul mate. “So what? He's gotten himself a nice little place to haunt.”
“So maybe we should pay his little girlfriend a visit. We honestly can't get though here while these stupid charmed splinters are jammed across the doors but maybe she can.”
Kikyou nodded, acknowledging the truth in his words. She didn't like relying on the living anymore, they never trusted a spirit. And those that did were naturally nut jobs. But if this girl knows Inuyasha, she might be willing to free him, and the other spirits held captive by the H.U.N.T.E.R.S.
Slowly the two blurry presences evaporated, leaving nothing but the quiet steps of the old library in their wake.
