Chapter 2: Fluffy

Sesshoumaru opened his eyes. Someone was trying to wake him up by shaking him. He rolled over to come face-to-face with Rin.

"What is it?"

"I had a bad dream. I dreamed that no one loved me any more."

Sesshoumaru sighed.

"Go talk to Kagome."

With that he turned over again. He heard her leave and went back to bed. Unfortunately within a few minutes, Rin was once again trying to wake him up.

"Kagome told me to come see you."

Sesshoumaru growled. Kagome knew how much he hated interacting with humans. She also knew he wanted nothing to do with this girl.

"Go back to sleep."

He turned away from the girl and closed his eyes. When he felt his bed sinking on one side he opened his eyes to see Rin sitting on his bed.

"What?"

"Can I sleep with you?"

Sesshoumaru gave Rin a weird look. No one in his life has ever come to him for comfort nor had anyone been brave enough to ask for comfort.

If she would just go to sleep, baka girl!

"Fine, but you have to go to sleep."

Rin smiled at him. No one had ever thought to smile at him in a friendly way. She jumped into bed and laid down.

"Goodnight Fluffy,"

Sesshoumaru scowled.

"Don't call me Fluffy."

"Kagome told me it was a cute name for you."

"Just go to sleep or you're going back out on the couch."

Sesshoumaru turned away from the girl. She was annoying him.

First she follows me and now she called me that stupid name.

Sesshoumaru finally went to sleep. Around ten-thirty the next morning, Sesshoumaru woke up. Rin was nowhere in his room, but he could pick up her laughter coming from the next room. He heard Inu-Yasha reprimand Kagome and Kagome was just laughing with Rin. Sesshoumaru got up and got into the shower. When he came out he could still hear Rin, Inu-Yasha and Kagome having a good time in the living room. He scowled.

I am not going to be responsible for that girl. They better not get attached to her.

He walked out into the living room only to cringe at Rin's greeting.

"Hi Fluffy!"

Kagome and Inu-Yasha started to laugh.

"Fluffy," Inu-Yasha croaked between his laughter.

"Don't call me that."

"It's cute Sessy. It suits you," Kagome said as she recovered from her laughter.

"It's not funny."

"Yes it is," Inu-Yasha said.

"Inu-Yasha, shut up or you're going to pay for the idea Kagome put in that girl's head."

"Kagome, you came up with Fluffy?"

"Actually Rin did. I just said it was cute."

Sesshoumaru retreated into the living room before they would start on him again. He at the table and listened to Kagome and Inu-Yasha argue. He then turned his attention again to Rin. She seemed to be his biggest problem right now and he needed to act fast or he would be in deeper trouble.

What am I going to do about the girl?
