InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The Hybrid Angel ❯ Present ( Chapter 2 )

So again I say it I don't own Inuyasha. This is just some silly story I'm writing for my free time. Up dates every 2 to 3 day!!!!!!

 

 

 

Present

 

“Hurry Kagome! We promised we'd be home extra early after cutting it so close last time.”

 

“I know Sango. I'm pedaling as fast as I can.” Kagome stared at the impatient girl moving with ease beside her. `I wish I was that strong.' Sango had been training to become strong enough to defeat Naraku since he destroyed her village and family leaving her and what was left of her brother as the `lucky survivors. But besides being extremely strong, talented, and blessed she was beautiful. Long black hair, lean muscular body and beautiful brown eyes. Kagome sighed as she went back to her harsh pedaling.

 

Sango looked back at her struggling friend. Why did she always have to doubt herself? Kagome's strong enough to keep up she's just not trying hard enough. I know she's fast I have seen her move just as fast as some demons when she's not thinking about it. I know most humans can't move like that only ones that have been blessed by the gods themselves or have been training with spiritual powers. All her doubt started after her father died fighting in a battle against Naraku. She still didn't talk about it.

 

`Were almost there!' Kagome smiled as the though went through her head. She could see the city walls from here. They had a whole thirty minutes before the gate closed for the night. Kagome sighed as she remembered why the walls were there in the first place. It had been over 300 years not including the previous 400years of war and death. Since it was safe to wonder around outside the protective walls of the city. And even now it was still an overwhelming risk. To prove how dangerous it still they made sure the Gates were locked at 9:00p.m. sharp. Only the western nations held any resistance against the murderous filth called Naraku and, and they weren't living much better. Many families had tried to gain passage to the western lands, but Naraku had closed all routs to them indefinitely. She smiled as she looked at Sango beside her. “HA! I caught…” WHAM !!!!!

 

Kagome went fling into Sango, which brought them both to the ground along with a third person.

 

Sango recovered first “WHAT THE HELL KAGOME!!!…. That really hurt.”

 

Kagome was slowly coming back to earth `Ouch every thing hurts' she groaned `Kagome started to look for the yelling Sango but instead found herself looking at an image of a red spider. Her brain suddenly roared to life. `That mark belonged to Naraku's henchmen, and that means'…. She started backpedaling on her on her hands and feet she bumped into Sango who seemed to have just noticed the man standing up. Kagome saw what looked like a hundred emotions go through her friends mind finally landing on won she knew too well, anger and determination. She was standing in a fighting position with her dagger and throwing knife out. Kagome did the same and stood beside her friend.

 

The man was now standing and looking impressive in the dawning light. “Which one of you is it? Which hold the power of blessed magic” Sango and Kagome looked at him was he crazy? No he was just trying to distract them.

 

“Stop with your games and kill us already… That is if you can” Sango's voice held so much confidence Kagome felt herself believing it.

 

He suddenly looked behind himself. “They're coming. I have no time for games if they catch me I'm dead.”

 

“You deserve to die, like the filth you serve under!” Kagome yelled out. Sango was caught a little by surprise. `So now she's ready to fight' Sango though.

 

The guy pulled out a chest about the size of a small jewelry box from his duffel bag. Kagome saw the guy grimace as he quickly pulled the box from his bag and dropped it in front of them. “This is the only thing Naraku fears to lose. He trusts it to no one. I” … he paused and looked behind him “They're getting closer one of you must take it. I believe it holds information to Inuyasha's last resting place and the way to free him.”

 

Sango and Kagome stood there looking at the man in front of them. Their thoughts were the same `This guy's a class a nut job'

 

There was a large crash in the forest behind the man. “I can out run them any longer. You must take this and go. This box has already chosen its owner. It knocks out any one who tries to open it and drains the life from those of black magic and demon aura who attempt to touch it. You must go now. If you don't my death will have been for nothing.”

 

There were a series of loud crashes getting closer and there were birds and other animals flocking away from the sound.

 

“We d-” Sango was cut off by Kagome.

 

“Sango something's coming….”

 

“Its probably one-” Kagome cut in again.

 

“No something really bad is headed this way. Can't you feel it?”

Sango took her eyes off the man and looked at her friend who was trembling slightly.

 

“We have to go. Right Now.” Kagome grabbed the box and was on her bike in seconds.

 

“Now Sango!”

 

Sango shoved her knife back into its sheath taking one last look at the man and got on her bike she took off in front of Kagome leaving her to follow.

 

They turned the corner just out of sight. Sango turned off the path and into the trees.

 

“What are you doing?” Kagome hissed.

 

“I don't believe his story.”

 

“What!” Kagome cried.

 

“You heard me.” Sango answered as she moved to the edge of the foliage.

 

“This is stupid. We need to get back there's only twenty minutes left; plus we can just leave the box out side if you're so worried”

 

“So someone else can accidentally bring it in? I don't think so” Sango snapped back.

 

They peered through the greenery. There was the desperate box owner, standing with a grim smile on his face.

 

“Ha! I told you he was just playing…” The rest of the sentence never left her mouth

 

A large explosion erupted behind the man, but he never flinched or turned around.

 

(Ok just so you know I was very tempted to just end it here. Very tempted. But I decided that the chapter would be to short. And plus I got a early class tomorrow and I want to rent that FF7 movie from Blockbuster, But I'm feeling nice so read on! ) Now back to the story>>>>>> ___________________________________________________________________________ ___________

 

 

 

 

Kagome and Sango watched as an enormous man walked through the smoke. Six others walked behind him. One of which looked like something out of a comic book, with guns and chain link bullet's across his chest. The rest looked human enough. The first guy had metal claws. The one next to him wore a woman's Kimono and carried a large curved sword. The one beside him held a flask and wore a bandanna. The next guy was the size of a dwarf and had bug like eyes and carried lots of cylinder containers on his back. And the last of the group was handsome. He was obviously the leader and carried a long straight sword on his back.

 

“So Naraku did send you after all.”

 

“Who else did you think would come?” The leader asked. “You'll die today.”

 

“Is it truly that important?” The question hung in the air until he answered himself. “It must have been for him to send his famous Band of Seven after me.”

 

“You knew?…And you ran? Knowing he'd have you hunted down?” the clawed man asked… “Your either very foolish or just stupid.”

 

“Answer me this before you kill me. Is it true what they say about that box?”… “It's said to hold the answer to find and free Inuyasha.”

 

They Band of Seven let out a series of amused laughs. “You know nothing.” The man in the kimono sneered. “That box was cursed by a blessed woman's single tear as she died. No one knows what truly lies in that box. I saw Naraku's mad antics as he tried to have it opened. He killed hundreds of demons and humans trying to open that box and, not even those blessed with godly powers could open it to save their own lives.

 

“So it truly scares Naraku not knowing what's inside that box”

 

“So are you ready to die?” The words let the leaders mouth with a frightening calm

 

He turned and pulled the sword Sango had seen earlier from his hip. “I won't die. Not without a fight!”

 

“You intend to fight all of us? Your dumber than you first appeared.”

 

“Are you man enough to fight me alone? Or are you just a coward that hides behind six others.”

 

The smile that was on the leaders' face never faltered. “ As you wish.” He stepped forward an slowly dragged the large sword from it's scabbard. “Any time your ready.”

Oh ! YES ! I know a cliffhanger. Never thought I would see one so early but, I have started the third chapter and it should be up on Tuesday. Today is Sunday time to rest. Got school then work and then a game. See you Tuesday.
