A/N: Ok, I didn’t mean for the last chapter to be so short. I couldn’t think of anything else. I guess it was more of an explanatory chapter, or a preview chapter.
Kagome went back to their hut to start getting things ready. She hadn’t been home in two months and was kind of looking forward to going home for a little while. She really missed Sota, he mom and her grandpa. Inu-Yasha walked in and came up behind her putting his arms around her waist. Kagome turned around and looked him in the eye. His blue eyes staring into hers.
"Everything will be ok Kagome. If we find Sesshomaru soon we can find out what he wants and then free Kaede of the curse." Kagome looked at him with a look of desperation and then returned to what she was doing. She didn’t have to pack too many clothes. After all, she didn’t know how long she was going so she didn’t know how long she would fit in her modern day clothes. Inu-Yasha turned her around again gave her a kiss and said, "Do you want to know how many you are having?" Kagome went into shock. She knew she was pregnant but she had no idea that there would be more than one. Or at least it had slipped her mind that Inu-Yasha was half dog. "Sure" she said cautiously. They sat down on the bed and then Kagome lied down next to Inu-Yasha. He put his hand on her tummy and sat there for a moment. Soon he began to come to his conclusion. "You will have 4 pups." Kagome sat there in awe. She didn’t know what to say. She was happy to say the least. Finally she spoke. "I can’t believe we are going to be parents. It was only 2 months ago we were fighting Naraku and now we’re married with 4 kids on the way." "Hai, I know. Would you like to know how long we have before we are parents?" Kagome shook her head yes. She was excited to find out.
"It will be a matter of 5 months. Because I am half dog they will grow faster." Kagome was in shock again. She couldn’t believe that in 5 months she would be a mommy her self. How would her mother take it? "We better get going Kagome." Kagome nodded, grabbed her bag and they set off through the village. They waved good-bye to all their friends and headed to the well. It took about 15 minutes to get to the well. Kagome wrapped her arms around Inu-Yasha and they jumped in the well. Soon they saw light. They had reached her time again and were in the well house. Luckily no one was in there. They stepped out and headed up to the front door.
~~ Inside the house ~~
"Mom, where did you put my game-boy?"
"Try looking on top of…"
"Never mind, it was on top of my dresser."
Kagome’s mom shook her head. She couldn’t believe how much he couldn’t see.
~~ Out-side ~~
"Are you ready Kagome?"
"As ready as I’ll ever be."
Kagome stretched out her hand and rang the bell. Her mother soon appeared and opened the door. When she saw Kagome her eyes began to water. She couldn’t believe her baby was standing in front of her.
"Kagome, look at you. You look so good."
She invited then in and hugged her daughter. She coaxed them into the living room and made them sit down.
"Mom, we have a few things we want to tell you."
"Ok, what is it?"
"Mom, Inu-Yasha and I got married about 3 days ago, and I’m pregnant."
Kagome’s mom had a smile on her face and she sat there in shock for a second before jumping up to give her a hug.
"OMG, I can’t believe my baby is having a baby of her own."
"Actually Mrs. Higurashi, she is having four." Kagome’s mom stumbled and then jumped back and gave her daughter another hug.
"Congratulations you two. When are you due?"
"In about 5 months. Because he is half dog and I’m already a month or so along. They grow faster."
"Well you can stay here as long as you want."
Kagome smiled. She hopped it wouldn’t be that long. If she went into labor here her mom would try and make her go to the hospital. She couldn’t imagine the looks on the nurses when they saw a baby that was half dog. Not to mention she wanted to get back to help with the Sesshomaru situation.
"Kagome, why don’t you and Inu-Yasha go up to your room and unpack. Dinner will be ready shortly." Kagome nodded her head and they went upstairs. Sota had no idea what was going on. He was too engaged in his game. When he heard footsteps he set the game down and peered into the hallway. Two seconds later he saw his sister coming up the stairs with Inu-Yasha.
"Kagome! I didn't know you were here." Kagome smiled and giggled. She ran up to give her brother a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Sota laughed and went back into his room yelling, see you at dinner. Kagome and Inu-Yasha continued on to her room. Once there they unpacked and sat down on the bed. Kagome put a hand on her tummy, "I can't believe I'm pregnant. When will I be able to feel them move?" Inu-Yasha thought for a moment and then said. "In about two days. You are already able to feel them they just aren't big enough to make a difference yet. You're already a month a long so it won't be long now." Kagome smiled and sighed. She was thrilled about being a mommy and was looking forward to feeling them move. She didn't want to wait two days. She wanted it now. The thing she wanted most was for Kaede to be all right. Soon her mother called them for dinner.
Kagome, Inu-Yasha and Sota all came running down the stairs. They sat down at the table and began to dig in. Mrs. Higurashi made ramen, vegetables, chicken and for desert chocolate cream pie. "This looks good mom." "Thanks Kagome. I bet it's nice to be eating a home cooked meal instead of just ramen." "Actually Kagome has become quite a cook. She can make just about anything. Now we don't have to eat ramen all the time. " "(In a whisper to himself) Even though I LOVE ramen." Mrs. Higurashi smiled and kept on eating. "Did you tell Sota the good news Kagome?" "No. Sota, you're going to be an uncle!" Sota dropped his fork and began jumping around saying I'm going to be an uncle. When he finally sat down he asked how many Kagome was having. "I'm having four Sota. Four great little children." Kagome's smile looked like it was going from ear to ear.
After desert everyone went to his or her rooms to get settled for the night. Kagome put her nightgown on and climbed into bed followed by Inu-Yasha. Soon you could hear snoring from Sota's room and heavy breathing from her moms. Inu-Yasha and Kagome began to talk.
"Kagome, I'm gonna go back to my time tomorrow. When we have figured out how to defeat my half brother Sesshomaru I will come and get you and bring you back. You will be safe then and we may need your help in all this." Kagome smiled and nodded. "Ok…Inu-Yasha. Good…night." She yawned once more before sleep took her over. Inu-Yasha lay next to her and put his arms around her holding her and their children tight.
The next day Inu-Yasha said good bye and promised it wouldn't be long before he came to get her. He kissed her and headed towards the well and jumped in. With in a few minutes all traces of him were gone. Kagome and her family went back to the house to wait and have some fun if they could while Inu-Yasha was away.
