Inu-Yasha appeared in the well a few moments later. He jumped out and headed back to the village. He no sooner took a step forward than his half brother Sesshomaru appeared in front of him. "What do you want jack ass?" "I want Kagome!" Inu-Yasha's heart almost beat out of his chest. He could not believe what his brother had said. He wanted Kagome? "What do you want her for?" "I have some business with her." "Do you promise not to hurt her?" "I will only hurt her if she does not do what I tell her to do when I tell her to do it. It's almost as if you care for that damn wench dear brother." "I- I do. I made her my mate." He paused for a moment waiting for his reaction. Sesshomarus face became a lighter shade of pale. "Get her to me by tomorrows sunset and she will live. Any inconvenience will be devastating to you and the village. Instead of losing one priestess they will lose two!"
Sesshomaru took off on his pink cloud into the air. Inu-Yasha ran as fast as he could back to the village. "What's the matter Inu-Yasha?" "Sesshomaru wants Kagome!" Their faces turned pale. They didn't know what to say. "Why does he want her?" asked Miroku. "He says he has business with her. He said if he didn't have her by tomorrows sunset the village would lose two priestess' instead of one." The gang looked around. This meant that Kaede was not going to live either way. They didn't want to lose a friend as well so they decided to do as he said. The next morning Inu-Yasha set off for the well again. He jumped in and out the other side. As he walked up to Kagome's house he wondered how he would tell her. He got lost in his thoughts and soon found the door opening. When the door opened Kagome was standing there. She looked radiant and gorgeous. "Inu-Yasha! I have been waiting for you. Why are you back so soon? Did you find out what Sesshomaru wanted?" Inu-Yasha gulped and said, "Can I come in?" Kagome stepped out of the way and he walked in. He told her to go sit and wait for him on the couch. He closed the door and paced for a few seconds and then went into the living room and stood in front of Kagome.
"Is anyone else home?" "No. They went out shopping. I didn't feel good so I stayed here." "Oh. Anyway. Sesshomaru said that he wanted to talk to you. He said if you didn't come to him by sunset today the village would have two dead priestess instead of one." Kagome's eyes began to water. She didn't know if she knew what Sesshomaru wanted but she had an idea. "Ok. I'll go get my things and we can leave. She went up packed her things and came back down. "Let me leave a note for my mom and Sota. She will wonder where I have gone if I don’t.
Inu-Yasha nodded and waited. She returned with a piece of paper. She set it down on the table next to the door, took a deep breath and headed outside for the well house. She wrapped her arms around Inu-Yasha and they jumped in.
