Kagome woke up in a plush room. The traditional big canopy bed, silk sheets, beautiful windows, the whole works were there. She was still a little stiff. She was very shocked when she put her hand to her head that she had claws. She was even more amazed with the person who walked through the large doors, who distracted her from her new claws. So shocked that only one word escaped her mouth. "Sesshomaru!"

He just walked up to her and was about to move her to transport her closer to the window and mirror. He knew who she was as well as that she was not an inu-demon at birth thus he wanted to show her new appearance to her. (What? She's a demon now! He most likely wouldn't hate her now.) She was struggling to escape her captor. (NO! He DID try to kill her, a lot) HE was slowly (or not so slowly) losing patience.

"If you can not control yourself you might get hurt. How would it look that my half-brother's woman was harmed by myself." She stopped just enough to spit out a statement. "I'M NOT HIS WOMAN!" She was about to return to struggling when a content Shippou, with food in his mouth, walked in, and he said, "How is it going, mom?" She just sheepishly allowed him to place her in the chair.

She glanced in the mirror and saw her new appearance. She was not wearing her school uniform, but a simple pair of black jeans and a shirt. That was obviously not the reason for the surprise on her face. It was the black tail, dog-ears, and claws. "Um… What the hell happened?"

"I was patrolling my lands when an explosion on miko power occurred, which the root of was you. You destroyed a good amount of my land. I found you and you were transforming into the form you have now. I'm sure your hungry, because your stomach has been making noises and irritating me, so you will join Rin for breakfast. I'll decide to answer your question after you finished eating if I choose."

Kagome was eating, while Rin was pestering Fluffy. Kagome finally gave in and asked what had been bugging her since she woke up.

"Do you know HOW I changed, Lord Sesshomaru?"

"This Sesshomaru has never heard of such an occurrence. The only thing that can possibly explain it is the blood that was on you when I found you."

"Speaking of can I please take a bath?"

He just nodded, and a servant led her to the hot water spring. After that she played with the children and was told,

"You could leave if and when she learned to properly defend yourself. I will properly teach you." As a lord any of his subjects' lives had to be protected, but if they irritated him they disappeared.

The next morning (Dawn)

"Lady you must wakeup. The Lord is waiting for you at the dojo." "Five more minutes mommy!" "Please! Get up!" "Fine! Ugh!" "Here are your clothes! Hurry!" *mumbling about stupid inu-demon lords* Kagome got dressed and walked as quickly as possible to get to the dojo.

He taught her hand-to-hand combat. Let's say that her first week fighting with him was not pleasant, and it involved a lot of bruises and embarrassment.

A week later. Summary: Kag/Ses trained. Rin and Shippou played and more often harassed the toad.

Kagome had just blocked a punch, but she lost the moment he appeared behind her and captured her arms. They had been training all day except to eat, and a one hour brake. They just finished and went to eat diner. They walked into the dinning room to the children.

"You're abilities are sufficient to return to your friends and Inuyasha. Do you have any plans or time set to return?" She grew angry at the mention of his name. Well… actually if you had been near her you would have thought the temperature dropped several degrees. Sessy found this intriguing, but was brought out of her musing by her voice.

"No. I've not made plans to leave as of yet. Even if I did, I wouldn't leave for any reason that involved him. Are you that ready to be rid of me?"

"No. I'm not partial to whether you stay or leave. Though… Rin has grown fond of you and the kit I'm also not one to get rid of a fighter with respectable potential."

He knew she had barely heard what he had said. She excused herself. He sent the children off to bed. Then, he followed her scent. He knew she had power, but he also knew she had no clue how to control her miko powers. He really didn't want to have to clean all the bodies if she lost control of her powers.

He found her in the dojo. Kagome was pushing herself extremely hard. He knew it was his stupid brother from the fights he overheard them having to finding her alone to the way she reacted to his name.

So… Being the gentleman he is, and the fact that he doesn't like losing resources he decided to try and figure what was her problem. She just fainted from fatigue and he picked her up and took her to her room.

She awoke in her bed. She looked around and found a note. She read it.

THE NOTE:

Lady Kagome,

A problem in my lands has been brought to my attention. I need to leave. Sorry about missing our practices.

Lord Sesshomaru

She shrugged and decided that playing with children would be a welcome diversion.
