“Yuu?” Kagome giggled as she felt hands on her waist.

“Hey Koi,” he whispered in her ear as she blushed, “is Inuyasha here?” he asked, suddenly cold.

“No…” she answered slowly, “he went hunting for breakfast before we leave…”

“You're leaving?” he asked sadly.

“Yeah…You know…Shikon shards…”

“Can't you stay with me, Kags…?”

“I - No…I'm sorry… It's my fault the jewel was broken in the first place, I have to help.”

“Can't you stay a little longer then?”

“I don't think Inuyasha would - ”

“Inuyasha?!” he sounded angry. “I think you should be with him so much…”

“Who, Yash? He's already with someone…” she tried not to sound sad.

“Did you just call him Yash?” he asked angrily.

“It's nothing…I promise, Koishii.”

“Then how come he was so mad yesterday?”

“Brotherly love…” Her heart broke. Why! Why?!

“I guess,” he sighed.

`WHAT?!' Inuyasha thought as he smelled a familiar scent, `She's with that guy again?!'

He was walking back to camp. It seemed every time he was ready to admit his feelings to Kagome, that guy was there. Well, it was only the second time…but Inuyasha knew it would definitely not be the last…

“Well, can I stay with you?” Yuu tried again.

“What do you mean?” she frowned.

“Can I go shard hunting with you?” he asked hopefully.

“No…It's dangerous! You'll get hurt…”

“What!?” he turned her to face him, “listen here, woman. I can defend myself very well, thank you.”

“Look,” she snapped, “don't be angry with me; we fight demons! Not regular humans! It would be hard for you!”

“What!?” he sounded really mad, “ you're human, aren't you? And the two other ones!”

“Well, Sango is a demon slayer…it's kind of her job… and Miroku has a very interesting wind tunnel in his let palm. They're not just regular people…”

“And you?”

“I shoot purifying arrows, and Inuyasha is constantly protecting me - ”

“Inuyasha? No! Koi, I wanna protect you! I wanna be ther with you! Not him, not anyone, just me! I want to be by your side, to protect you!” he held her hands firmly.

“Look, you really shouldn't feel threatened by Inuyasha…”

“I know you like him!”

“what?”

“I can tell! Now, I realize he - or so you say - doesn't like you that way; but I need to ask you one thing, are you… Do- do you only want to be with me to annoy him?”

“What!? NO!” she yelled, snatching her hands from his.

“Inuyasha!” Miroku yelled as Inuyasha ran.

“I gotta go get Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled back.

“What? Why?!”

“She's with that guy again!”

“NO!” the houchi cried, grabbing his ear ( ok…how do I explain the scenery? Inuyasha is running, and Kirara is flying low close to him. Miro is on Kirara's back. Miro can reach Inu's ear.)

“Ouch! Monk, let go!”

“Slow down!”

“Make Kirara stop too! There's no way in hell you are draggin' me by the ear!”

“Fine! Both of you, stop!”

Both demons stopped running - flying… - . “Thank you, Kirara.” Miroku said, rubbing her back affectionately when they landed. The cat demon growled appreciatively.

“What do you want, Monk?” Inuyasha growled.

“Look, I know you're jealous,” he ignored Inuyasha's annoyed growl, “but you have to wait and tell me what the heck happened last night.”

“What? How do you know?”

“Kagome told Sango…But Sango wouldn't tell me what happened. I just know something happened…”

“Hold it…Kagome told Sango?”

“No…She just said something happened…”

“Well, only Kagome knows then…”

Miroku looked at him, pretty confused.

“Ahhhh! Look, houshi, I turned full demon! Kagome told me that nothing happened.”

“Did you mark her?” Miroku asked, very seriously.

“No…”he sighed. “She didn't smell like me; but I think I might have tried…”

“Yash! You have to control yourself!”

“I know!” he sighed, “I love her…I can't hurt her. It's just…My youkai side has already chosen her as a mate…I can't help it!”

“You have to control your anger!”

“But WHY?” Inuyasha exploded.

“It's your own damn fault Inuyasha!!” Miroku snapped, “you can't do this to her! You can't take her while she doesn't want to,” the hanyou cringed, “Well, while she isn't ready for that.”

“I just…I love her, Miro…”

“I know…” Miroku sighed, “but you have to take it slow and stop pouncing on Yuu.”

“Don't you say that stupid, arrogant - ”

“Inuyasha! You have to understand!” Miroku yelled, “she's in age of getting married now, she has waited about three years for you Inuyasha, don't you think she should be able to have a life of her own?”

“But…”

“No buts!” he laughed at the word, “now let's show off your talent at hunting!”

“Can you keep up?

Baby boy, let me lose my breath”

Sango sang as she danced to the music, this `Ipod' thing was so…new.

“SANGO!” Kagome yelled, “Turn those off!”

When Sango had finally turned off the Ipod and was seated on the grass, Kagome started to talk…

“I was talking to Yuu…”

“And?”

“I think…he sorta…wants to get…serious…”

“Yeah? We still have to hunt for shards…”

“I know…But he's sorta hung up on the idea to stay with us…”

“Ooh…But Inuyasha'll freak out…”

“I know! That's the thing!”

“So what are we going to do?”

“…”

“You could ask Inuyasha…”

“Are you serious!? Inuyasha would like - ”

“What?” Inuyasha asked from behind her, “Ask me what? Why would I freak out?”

“Nothing…” Kagome answered, laughing nervously.

“Tell me!”

 

“Why don't you tell him, Koi?” Yuu smiled at Inuyasha's flushed face.

“KOI?” Inuyasha roared, Kagome was shaking now…

“Yes, now Kags, tell him,” he ordered.

“Don't you tell her what to do! She's not yours!” Inuyasha said protectively.

“Yet,” Yuu finished.

“Why, you…” Inuyasha growled, clenching his fists.

“Stop, guys!” Kagome yelled, “Yuu, please?” she pleaded.

“Fine…” he said reluctantly be fore smirking, “So, when are we leaving?”

“WE?” Inuyasha asked, walking to him; Kagome gasped.

“Yeah, I'm traveling with you,” he said simply.

I'm really annoyed I only have 10 reviews for this story when I had like 15 for bodyguard when I got to 3 chaps… Anyway, you see? Every review counts for me.
