[ P - Pre-Teen ]

The atmosphere the next day was tense. Everyone was nervous about the
upcoming spell. It could leave them with a dead group member and one
sleeping for days, or one alive and one with no energy. Kagura would pay
little if the spell went awry, and Kohaku would pay dearly. The only
thing the rest of the group could do was hope and pray.

It was finally time to make camp. It ahd been decided that they would
eat first, then do the spell. Everyone would need their strength, kagura
and Kohaku ecspecially.
"It's time." Inuyasha said, after everyone had finished thier Ramen.
Miroku could do 1 thing to help. He could put a barrier around the area
so no youkai could attack them while they were performing the spell.
Kagura and Kohaku stood up.
" It would be easier if we had no distractions. If........ if we don't
come back within the hour, well, you'll have to find us." Kagura said.
" We- we will." Sango said. She hoped they wouldn't have to. If they
did, she knew what they would find. One daed body, and one sleeping.

" Are you ready Kohaku?" He nodded.
" I hope I see you again." he said.
" Well, here's hoping." Kagura said. She moved behind him and removed
the shard. Instantly, he crumpled, and fell like a bag of bricks to the
ground.
" Corspe Life Revival!" Kagura called out, and she drew symbols in the
air with her fan. It was very complicated, but it had to be done
quickly. If she didn't complete the spell before Kohaku's body heat left,
he'd be truly dead. She was getting tired, but if she fell asleep.........
There! She had completed the last symbol. The spell was complete. all
she could do was wait. She was so tired though. A little nap wouldn't
hurt........
No! She snapped her thoughts back. If she fell asleep, even after
drawing the symbols, he'd die. She felt she owed him. He was, after all, the
one who had found her heart.

After what seemed like hours, Kohaku awoke.
" Good. You're.......... awake............" Kagura said. She smiled
once before falling asleep. She was free to do so as soon as Kohaku was
alive.
" Kagura? Kagura, wake up!" Kohaku said once, shaking her awake. " The
others wil want to know that I'm properly alive. Do you still have the
shard?" Kagura showed him the shard, clutched in her palm.
" Good."
" Kohaku? I'm so tired......."
" Here. I'll help you walk."
" Okay." Kagura said.

" Where are they?" Sango asked anxiously. " It's been nearly an hour!
Do you think they succeeded?"
" I'm sure they did Sango." Kagome said.
" Rea-?" sango stopped talking for a moment. She thought she had heard
something crashing through the undergrowth. " What's that?" Sango
asked, alarmed. No youkai should have been able to get through the barrier,
but if they were in when the barrier closed, it wouldn't count. Sango
didn't think this was the case, but even so, so inched her hand towards
her boomerang. then, whatever it was that had been amking so much
noise, came out. It wasn't a youkai, as Sango had thought. It was Kohaku,
with Kagura practically dragging on the ground behind him.
" Kohaku!" Sango cried happily and ran to her brother, tears of joy
leaking through her eyes. She took Kagura from him and put her on her
pallet. She then turned to embrace her brother, no longer dead or kept
alive by a Shikon shard. Kohaku hugged her back.
" I'm alive now. You'll crush me if you keep this up!" Kohaku said,
just as happy as Sango that he was alive.
Kagome stood by and watched Sango and her brother share a tearful
reunion. Soon, Koga, Inuyasha and Miroku- who was carrying Shippo and
Kirara, and one of them undoubtedly was carrying Myoga- appeared behind
Kagome. Koga went straight to Kagura's side, while the others ran to tell
Sango and Kohaku how happy they were that Kohaku was alive.
