InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The Offering ❯ Kidnapped? ( Chapter 7 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
Ha! I’m back again, here’s chapter 7! Don’t be surprised if this one seems almost outlandishly silly, but then again... I kinda am like that. The idea appeared in my head and wouldn’t rest so, I typed it up!
BTW I’ve been terribly distracted, I work close to 40 hours a week, and the rest of the time is not really “relaxing”. Then there are the books I only recently bought. The more I read the better my own work flows. SO the small entertainment I derive from reading my wonderful historical romances make my stories possible. ^^’
*******CHAPTER 7*******
Kagome woke groggily, her neck hurt, her shoulders were sore too, as was her back. She couldn’t think of a single reason for this, until the memories of yesterday returned. Instantly she sought out Sesshoumaru’s son, and was horrified to realize the bed next to her was empty. What had happened? Who had gotten in while she was asleep?
“Well, it seems you’ve finally awoken, the sun has been up longer than, I think, you‘ve been alive.”
For some reason instead of the cold, monotonous way that voice always sounded frightening her, she found herself relaxing. After all, if something had happened to his son while she’d slept surely he would be trying to kill her, instead of teasing her about sleeping too long.
Kagome blinked and looked at Sesshoumaru who was casually leaning against a door that should crumble beneath his pressure. Had he just teased her? It didn’t seem likely, there wasn’t a hint of mirth in his eyes, there wasn’t a hint of anything in him. But how could she be certain? Sesshoumaru never showed anything, perhaps humor was also on the list of “things not seen on Sesshoumaru’s face”?
She couldn’t be certain so instead she decided to ignore what he’d said. “Where is your son?” She asked blandly instead suppressing a yawn though she was certain it was evident in her voice.
An odd creature certainly, all level of intimidation was absent from her. She didn’t fear him! Such a strange thing that, she should be afraid, but for some reason she sat there, on his bed, and demanded the whereabouts of his son!
He smirked ever so slightly and decided such gal would earn her an answer. “He is with his nurses. Youkai children sleep for very small periods of time, I removed him from here and placed him with youkai, who need little sleep.”
Then why the devil had he agreed to allow her charge of his son?! She was getting slightly irritated and couldn’t explain why, she felt as if someone was pushing at her from all sides, she felt completely useless too, and what’s more, she was missing her friends and family. That with the aches of this morning to add to it, she was less than a happy camper.
“It is time you bathed, human. I am unsure of how frequently humans bathe, but in my home it is done daily. I tolerate no stench.”
Kagome’s ire raised a notch, how dare he, or anyone else for that matter, imply that she stink! She didn’t smell bad at all! If it weren’t for the fact that they traveled so damned much, she too would bathe daily, and it would not seem the least bit strange either, for she knew that humans in this time bathed as often. Japan was different in that, the English bathed rarely during this time, but Japanese culture was, fortunately, not of a like mind. “I would have bathed yesterday I’ll have you know, it was just that I had no opportunity.”
She could tell by the slight narrowing of his eyes that her words had come out a bit more sharply than she had originally intended. She got the distinct feeling that no one ever snapped at Sesshoumaru. He was too powerful and he probably wielded that power to keep his people underfoot. Well, if he expected the same from her this morning, that was just too damn bad.
“Bathe human, and do so quickly, the stench of my brother is clinging to you and I want it not in my home.” In truth, there were two scents upon her, that of his brother and to his ire, Kyoko’s. It angered him that she had the scent of another male on her. He wanted only his scent on her and none other. Period.
Oooh... She hated that about him, she was sure that eventually she’d be completely fed up with him and his orders. She hated being ordered around, Inuyasha would bend to her will often enough, and he never issued orders the way Sesshoumaru did. She was from a completely different world though, and she had had the opportunity to be independent, and was most definitely that.
The way Sesshoumaru ordered her about, truly thinking she should expect it and obey without question was irksome in more ways than one. He didn’t own her, for a short time he seemed to think that he did and, in a way he did.
Only he didn’t seem to realize something, Inuyasha didn’t OWN her either! Making his “lending” of her to her brother pretty much canceled out. She owned herself and no one had the ability to say they above she, owned her!
“What if I prefer to bathe later in the day? Or not at all?” She looked into his eyes then, knowing she was practically asking for a very unpleasant death. Instead she saw something in his eyes briefly, something that nearly stung of mirth. For a second she was completely stunned, then anger surfaced, deciding anger was a safer emotion to feel at the moment, as stun usually peaked her curiosity, she chose to cling to her anger. “Don’t laugh at me either.”
It was the strangest thing. He hadn’t felt truly amused in so long it felt completely foreign to him. But the site of his small human mate-to-be sitting on his bed, in his room ordering him not to laugh was nearly too much. He almost broke down and laughed. She was a delightful change to his world. And the angry flush on her cheeks made her look absolutely adorable.
Quickly he hid his reaction, in both his face and his groin. She was making him hard as a rock, and now was not the time. She needed to be rid of the scent of other men, now.
“I believe the order was clear. Or are you partially deaf as well as ignorant? The bathing chamber is to your left. If you do not walk in there on your own power I will throw you in.”
She was so angry she was nearly hissing he mused idly as she threw away the blanket she’d been under and stomped to the ground. Likely she realized his threat was not an idle one, he would throw her in if she didn’t comply.
Her clothes were very strange too, her legs were exposed and yet her arms completely covered. He didn’t like the un-evenness of the garment and intended to be rid of it very, very soon. Youkai did not always dress in kimonos and the like, he had chosen some clothing for her to wear, something that wouldn’t restrain her movement too much but keep her hidden enough for his peace of mind.
She started walking heavily toward the door that separated his room from the bathing chamber. He would call it stomping, but she seemed to be putting an honest effort into not displaying that bit of childish upset.
Kagome turned before she opened the door, ready to give Sesshoumaru one final glare before entering only to realize he was closer than she had thought. Much closer in fact if she breathed heavily she was certain she’d touch him.
She whirled around and had to tilt her head almost all the way back in order to glare at him properly. Damned tall for a man born in Japan! Even in her time, where the men grew a bit taller, he would seem out-of-place. She however was a bit on the short side, and when he was this close eye-contact would prove strenuous to her neck in time. “Is there a reason My Lord that you stand so close? Surely you don’t doubt my ability to find the door?”
“Your mocking tone could end up with your head upon a man’s floor if you don’t tread more carefully.” He warned quietly, leaning forward, not at all surprised when it forced her to lean back to avoid contact. It thrust her full breast up further and he couldn’t resist a quick look at them, straining against the strange fabric. He could faintly see the outline of the strange thing she used to keep her breast in place.
It was a strangely alluring thing to see. The thing she’d called her “bra” shouldn’t add to any allure, should prove to be simply another barrier. Instead he found himself drawn to it, imagining removing the contraption and freeing her breast. He had a feeling that this very thing had kept the drooping associated with large breast such as hers at bay.
“And that floor would be yours?” her voice brought his eyes back to hers. Strangely expressive, her eyes were not the blue so common among the pale humans, nor was it the dark almost mud brown of most human from here. Instead they were lighter, and if the sun hit them just right they appeared almost yellow, and very cat-like.
“I’ll allow your mind to consider it for now.” He reached behind her and noticed with some satisfaction that her breath hitched as he slid the door open. He leaned further forward, forcing her to take a step back and into the bathing room.
He wanted to follow her in and watch her bathe but he doubted he would maintain control long enough for her to finish. As it stood he almost didn’t allow her that much. He wanted the removal of other men’s scents from her but he was worried that if he took her with another’s scent on her he would be too hard on her. As he wished to claim every bit of her.
A knock sounded at his door and he turned allowing Akita entrance. She was the only one whom he felt he could trust the matter of Kagome with. She would watch the human bathe and assist if necessary. Though he doubted anything would happen, perhaps Kagome would come to trust the female.
Akita raised an eyebrow in silent question but didn’t question him. Instead she walked over to the bathing room and closed the door. Leaving Kagome safe from his eyes. Irritating but necessary. Nothing would happen to her in the bathing house, he was sure, but it irritated his male pride to hand over even the smallest of cares to someone else where this woman was concerned. Until she was his completely he would not, could not be happy with her out of his site.
He left his room, intending to speak with some of his men and see if he could discern their loyalties himself.
*******
Kagome settled into the water, pleased to find that it wasn’t a room with a small bucket or two of water, but instead was a full bath-house. The “why” was beyond her though. Surely this wasn’t normal, there was only one entrance to this bath, and that was through the door she’d just come.
Something was probing at the back of her mind, even honored guest would not warrant a bathing chamber right next to their room. Why the hell would Sesshoumaru put her in such a grand room though? The answer to that was as forth-coming as the answers to the dozen other questions she’d wondered over the limited time she’d spent here. Not at all.
Akita was the name of the woman whom had entered with her. Another oddity. “Akita, I have to ask this. Who’s room am I in?”
Akita looked at the tiny human woman Sesshoumaru placed such great stock in. She was an adorable creature, with very large expressive eyes. She seemed to have a million questions milling about in her mind but had only asked two, the first being what Akita’s name had been and now who’s room she was in. She was oddly perceptive for a human, realizing that she wasn’t in a servants room wasn’t something that would be odd, but to realize that it wasn’t even a guest’s room was strange indeed. Most would push the question from her mind.
“I am not sure My Lord would want me to answer if he has not already revealed so to you.” She answered evasively. She nearly winced when she realized that the Mating would upset this woman. It wasn’t a tradition that humans went through, and in fact it would hurt her greatly. Human women were weak and hated their inability to affect their own lives.
Kagome rolled her large eyes and searched around her looking for something to clean herself with. Akita supplied some scented soap, it wouldn’t be too harsh for her to use on her hair, or her body. It was a rare thing, very soft and gentle.
Honestly it wasn’t all that necessary, Sesshoumaru’s bath was enchanted in that it cleaned whatever was in it. One only had to submerge themselves to be completely clean. Still it was nice to actually clean oneself, to feel as though the act of cleaning actually did the work.
Kagome ducked under the water, and for a moment Akita was worried that the human would drown. Many women of that species did not know how to, neither did many men actually. But, when she Kagome move underwater swiftly she realized not only that Kagome could swim, she could do so very well.
She surfaced for air and gave Akita a questioning look for just a moment, before she gasped and was suddenly underwater again.
Instantly Akita stood and intended to dive into the water to try and save the woman from whatever had caused her to suddenly sink when she realized what that was. Three ribbons of pink had risen from the pool’s floor and had pulled her down and were now keeping her there. What she could do against such a strange thing Akita was unsure but she had to try something. That’s when a face appeared in the water. A woman’s face.
Akita stared dumb-founded, unable to completely believe her eyes when suddenly the world swam about her and she found blackness grab hold of her mind.
