~*~*~*~okay, this story was a one-shot………WAS. I was persuaded otherwise though, because I got OVER 25 REVIEWS for it saying it should be a regular story! And because I love you all so much for reviewing me, I have decided to continue it! YIPPIE!! You guy's better be happy!! ^_^ but I'm warning you guys, there is probably not going to be a plot or at least not much of one. So ye have all been warned! Bwhahahahaha……….

Oh and I finally figured out how to HTML! So now I can have italics and crap. So in my stories, from now on:

Italics = thoughts

Italics in my story may also be used for other things as well, but you'll understand it all. Take for instance the title down there. That is in italics cuz I think it looks prettyful, but you get it right?

Chapter 2

Inuyasha was in a state of complete and utter shock.

He had just caught Sesshoumaru and Kagome kissing! And now she had left him…gone with his brother…How could he have been so stupid?! He had lost yet another thing to his brother now.

Damn…

He stood there for a time, thinking about the lost love. Was this how he had made Kagome feel when he went to Kikyou? If it was, he certainly did not like it. It was very…saddening.

His heart was clenching painfully tight, and he wanted to…cry? Yes cry…How could Kagome stand all this pain? If indeed this is what she felt, how could she even get up in the morning? Then it hit him. He knew.

Sesshoumaru.

She got through this for and with the help of Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha's fists fisted at his side at the thought. But thinking that brought up some more questions. How long had they been friends? Lovers? And why hadn't Kagome said something earlier? And once again the answer hit him full force.

It had probably been happening the same as it had been happening with himself and Kikyou. It was like as if everything he had done; Kagome had done the exact same thing. When he went off to see Kikyou, she went off to Sesshoumaru. But anyway, speaking of Kikyou…

Kikyou…

Did he truly love her? Even when he was thinking all these thoughts and feelings for Kagome? Ugh…he was getting a headache from all this thinking. He did not normally think this much and this deeply.

But still, thinking of Kagome and Sesshoumaru brought a bitter taste to his mouth and aching feelings in his chest.

……maybe in the morning he could think ponder this more easily. Yes, he would wait until morning. And with that thought, he went off in search of his dead lover.

~*~*~*~over to Kagome and Sesshoumaru's side~*~*~*~

Kagome just couldn't stop smiling.

She was finally free of Inuyasha and with her lover, Sesshoumaru. Who would've thought that she'd end up with Sesshoumaru? She certainly never did. Well before the lord and her had been on friendly terms, that is.

Sesshoumaru was also asking the same question. He would have never pictured himself to follow in his father's footsteps and choose a human lover. But here he was, with Kagome, the beautiful and powerful human woman.

He tilted his head downwards to look at the object of his wandering thoughts. She was so beautiful. How the hanyou could ever mistake her for the undead one was beyond him. Just because they shared similar features didn't mean they were the same person.

Whereas Kikyou was evil and cold, Kagome was pure and warm…well radiant was more the word than warm. She was like the sun; sunny and bright most all the time. Kagome always thought of other's and went out of her way to please them. Kikyou did not. Kikyou thought of herself and her sole purpose was to drag her past lover down to hell. Kagome also smelled so much better. She had a delicious scent, while Kikyou had a rotting and disgusting scent. Inuyasha was truly an idiot. (AN: as said in the last chapter…^_^)

"Sesshoumaru" his love's musical voice broke him of his musings.

"Yes love?"

She blushed slightly at the pet name but continued in her say.

"What am I - I mean, what are we going to do about the shards now?"

Hmmm…good question, Kagome he thought.

"I mean, I still have to go and find them, I just can't leave my duties. And I'll eventually have to go back to Inuyasha…"

This caught Sesshoumaru's full attention "No, you will not go back to that hanyou. We will search for the shards together."

Together…

The words echoed in her mind. She liked the way it sounded when Sesshoumaru said it. She smiled brightly at him and snuggled deeper into his embrace "Kay…"

Sesshoumaru looked down again and smiled. He had been doing that a lot lately; ever since he had met her. She could make him smile and express emotions so easily while others couldn't even dent his mask. He confounded him to no end as to how she could accomplish this feat.

Suddenly, Kagome shot up and looked at him with wide eyes. Alarmed, he asked "What is it Kagome?"

"What about all my stuff back there and what about Shippo?"

"Who is this 'Shippo'?" he asked. He was very curious.

"He-" Kagome began to say.

"He?" Sesshoumaru hissed. He did not like the sound of this. Was she in love with another? The thought was absurd to him, for he had only known for her to had been in love with Inuyasha and now him, but still……he?

"Sesshoumaru let me finish before you jump to conclusions!"

He calmed down and gave his attention to her.

"Shippo is my pup. He-" she again could not finish her statement, for Sesshoumaru had tensed and growled.

"Your pup?! Yours and the hanyou's?!"

She sighed "Sesshoumaru……Let me finish!"

"Fine"

"Thank you. Now as I was saying, Shippo is my adopted pup. Not Inuyasha's and mine. His mother died when he was born and he father was slain by the Thunder Brothers. Inuyasha and I saved him from the same fate and eventually Shippo came to be as my own son."

Adopted? Oh thank Kami he thought as he silently praised the gods. He was so relieved. He hugged her tight to him "Kagome, it is fine with me. We shall go now and gather your pup and you belongings."

"Thank you, sweetie!" she chirped.

Sweetie?

After changing direction, the couple arrived in Kaede's village. Kagome pointed to which hut had her friends in it and walked towards it; Sesshoumaru following silently behind.

Once inside, Kagome went to get Shippo. Sesshoumaru was surprised to see it was a kitsune, but he did not let the emotion show. Looking around the hut, he eyed the occupants in a bored way. He heard scuffling noises and turned to see her struggling to lift her giant bag with one arm, and went to go help her. Lifting it effortlessly, he quirked an eyebrow at her. She blushed and whispered, "What? It was heavy!"

He shook his head and chuckled. Barely. "Silly human" he whispered back at her.

She huffed. "Insufferable youkai" she retorted. And before he could say anything she turned her back on him and went to search for something. Finally, she found some parchment and quill and scrawled out a note (AN: does that last sentence make sense? I wasn't sure…O.o) for her friends, telling them not to worry.

When she had finished, she turned back to the demon lord and smiled. "That's it! Let's go!"

He nodded and turned around to walk out the hut, with her following. Halfway into the forest she said, "hey Sesshoumaru? Could I go home for a few minutes? I need to go get some stuff and tell my family about this."

He nodded. Yes, he knew all about her family and her home in the future. She had told him after they had become good friends. He felt happy in knowing that she trusted him enough with that secret. Man he loved her…

They arrived in the well's clearing quietly. He set her down by the well and gave her a quick hug and kiss.

"Return soon"

She smiled beautifully at him and nodded, then she turned around and jumped over the side of the well; gone in flash of blue
