Hmkai, here's the seventh chapter! Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, but I've been working on my other story Graduation. You can probably expect another chapter for Graduation sometime this week (hopefully).
Anyway, enjoy!
I don't own the Inuyasha characters.

The Prophecy
Chapter 7
Kagome followed Inuyasha out of the mess hall and to his room, where he knew they wouldn't be disturbed. He sat her down on the bed and sat down next to her. She looked at him with concern.
“Are you alright, Inuyasha?” she asked, voicing her concern.
“Yeah,” he answered. “That wolf just doesn't know when to shut the hell up.”
“What happened to you back there?” Kagome asked, taking his hand into hers and lacing their fingers.
“Well, you know that I'm a half demon, right?” he asked. Kagome nodded him, urging him to continue. “That means that I have both human and demon blood in me. What happened back there was my demon blood took control and overwhelmed my human blood. Most of the time, they mix together equally, like now.”
Kagome nodded in understanding. “You told me not to fear you,” she said, “why would you say that?”
“I don't want you to fear me,” Inuyasha said seriously, “in any form. Ever.”
“I don't think I could ever fear you and what I said was true. The only way you could scare me is if you started wearing pink dresses,” Kagome teased. Inuyasha grinned and chuckled.
“And besides,” Kagome continued with a smirk, “I kinda liked the stripes.” She reached up with her free hand and traced his cheek where the stripes had appeared. She frowned as a sudden thought occurred to her. “So, if you can become more demonic, then does that mean that you can also become more human?”
Inuyasha raised his eyebrows at her astuteness and nodded. “Once a month on the night of the new moon my demon blood sleeps and I turn into a human,” he said, not quite sure how she'd react to that.
“So that means that you've already turned into a human a couple of times while we've been here?” she asked, tilting her head to the side. He nodded and she continued, “What do you look like as a human?”
“Well, my hair turns black, my fangs shrink along with my claws and my ears turn into human ones,” he said quietly, not really liking the idea of thinking of his human appearance.
“Aw, that's too bad,” Kagome whined, earning her a raised brow. “I like your ears.”
Inuyasha was amazed. Here was this wonderful and amazing woman who wasn't disgusted with him. Gods, he loved her. `Wait, I love her?' he asked himself. `Truly and honestly? Not just falling?' He looked into her amazing deep blue pools and nearly drowned. `Yes, I do.' He grinned and leaned down to kiss her lightly. They lay down together on the bed, cuddling, and soon, fell into a deep, relaxing sleep.

Sesshomaru walked down the hall towards his brother's rooms. He'd heard about the incident in the mess hall yesterday and felt the need to remind his brother to control himself, even though Sesshomaru didn't particularly like the wolf either.
He stopped in front of his brother's door, noting the strong scent of one of the girls from the other world, the priestess to be precise, and waited, expecting his scent to alert his half brother of his presence. After a minute, he grew impatient and opened the door himself, where he soon stopped in his tracks.
There in the middle of the bed, was his brother, thoroughly wrapped around the girl with his nose buried in her hair. `Well, this is interesting,' the dog demon thought as he approached the bed. He saw his brother's nose twitch before a growl erupted from his chest. Inuyasha pulled the girl closer to him, the growl never ceasing.
Sesshomaru cleared his throat, attempting to catch the couple's attention and bring them out of sleep. His brother's ear twitched and his eyes fluttered open, his grip tightening on Kagome as his threatening growl turned into one of annoyance. Inuyasha looked over towards his brother and directed his growl at him.
“Wha'do you want, Sesshomaru?” he asked, quietly. “I'm trying to sleep.”
“This Sesshomaru fails to see how that act requires the presence of the priestess,” the full dog demon commented.
“I'm courting her, idiot,” Inuyasha huffed, closing his eyes and burying his nose back into Kagome's hair. “Now why did you feel that you needed to barge into my room?”
“This Sesshomaru would speak to you regarding the incident yesterday involving the wolf.”
“What of it?”
“Why did you lose control?”
“Fucking wolf insulted Kagome and mocked my honor.” Their attention was shifted away from their conversation when Kagome shifted and mumbled; her heartbeat and breathing accelerating, signifying her immanent awakening.
“We will continue this conversation later,” Sesshomaru said with finality.
Inuyasha nodded and waited for his intended to wake up. He heard Sesshomaru leave just as Kagome's eyes opened. She gave him a tired smile that brightened his heart.
“I'm not sure if you'll take this as a compliment or an insult, but I always seem to sleep so well around you,” Kagome told him as she stretched the sleep out of her muscles.
“I'll take it as a compliment,” he told her with a peck on the lips.
“Good, now let's go get something to eat,” Kagome said, sitting up.

Rin walked down the west wing, searching for Inuyasha's room. `I bet Kagome's with him,' she thought, thinking of her friend who wasn't in her room that morning.
As she rounded a corner, she collided with a very solid mass, which sent her reeling backwards. When the expected fall didn't come, she opened her tightly closed eyes to see golden ones staring back into her warm brown ones.
Sesshomaru had been walking away from his brother's rooms and about to round a corner when a small mass hit him. Realizing it was a female he easily caught her around the waist with an arm and pulled her up. She opened her eyes and stared into his, seemingly perplexed. Her scent grew warm and musky and she gasped.
“I'm so sorry, King Sesshomaru. I didn't see you! Thank you for catching me,” she said.
`Rin,' that's what this female's name was. “It is quite alright,” he responded, not having yet let go of her. “What are you doing here?”
“I was looking for Kagome. Have you seen her?” Rin asked, cocking her head to the side, her fingers absentmindedly playing with the fine white hairs on his arm that were shown because of his rolled up sleeve.
“Yes, this Sesshomaru has. She is with Inuyasha,” he told her, trying to ignore what her touch and scent was doing to him.
“Oh, okay, thank you,” she said with a frown, not quite sure what to do now.
“Would you care to join this Sesshomaru for the breaking of our fast?” the King asked out of the blue.
Rin perked up and nodded enthusiastically, her smile flip-flopping Sesshomaru's stomach. Sesshomaru let go of her waist and offered her his arm. She took it, smiling at him again, and let him lead her down the hall and in the direction of the mess hall, ignoring the odd and incredulous looks from the staff.
