Chapter Six

The Shattered Soul Part II

 

Inuyasha shook his head as he heard Sesshomaru chuckle softly. It was the strangest sound that he had ever heard. “Why are you shaking your head?”

 

Inuyasha looked away from Sesshomaru and Sorano, who were walking a few paces ahead of them, to look at Kagome. She was smiling softly and holding onto his arm tightly. “I haven't heard my brother laugh and it sounds funny to me.”

 

Kagome giggled as she looked at the back of Sesshomaru's head, “I think it sounds alright. Of course I didn't know him before he laughed so I don't really have an opinion.”

 

Inuyasha laughed and Kagome looked at him funny, “I'm not laughing at you Kagome. I'm glad you didn't meet Sesshomaru before. He is usually a stone cold ass…”

 

“Watch your tongue hanyou.” Sesshomaru stated without even turning around.

 

“Bite me Sesshomaru,” Inuyasha chuckled as Sesshomaru growled but turned back to his own conversation. Inuyasha smirked as he turned back to Kagome. She just smiled and turned her head to look at the club. Inuyasha looked at her with confusion. She has been acting weird ever since the sign lit up. I wonder what's wrong? Inuyasha was about to ask her but they had just walked up onto the curb of the sidewalk that was in front of the club. Sorano walked right up to the bouncer, who was reading over the VIP list, and stopped. Inuyasha and Kagome came to a stop right behind them.

 

“You need to wait in line like the rest of the people,” stated the bouncer without even looking up. Inuyasha could already hear the music playing within the club and he could hear the people in the line up whispering about the girls and wondering if they were, in fact, the members of The Sage.

 

“I never had to wait in the lines before,” stated Sorano as she leaned closer to the bouncer.

 

The bouncer sighed and shook his head, “Look girl I have been the bouncer here for almost eight years and I don't let anyone in without standing in the line up or being on the VIP list and since you didn't give me your name you have to wait in it the line up like everyone else.”

 

Sorano giggled, “Would you like my name?”

 

Still the bouncer didn't look up and with an annoyed voice he said, “Sure give me your name so I can tell you to go and wait in the line up again.”

 

“My name is Sorano and I am surprised that you didn't recognize my voice Talon.”

 

The bouncer, named Talon, looked up and paled slightly, “Dear Kami-sama!! Is it really you Sorano?”

 

Sorano laughed and nodded, “Here I thought that you forgot me. Well you forgot my voice and you didn't even bother to look up at me.”

 

Talon reached up and ran a hand through his messy sandy blonde hair. The bouncer was a tiger youkai mix and he had the weirdest shade of orange eyes that Inuyasha had ever seen on a tiger before. “Sorry sweetie I didn't really think that someone would walk right up to me this early in the night or that that someone would be you. The VIP's don't usually show up till around 10.”

 

Sorano waved a hand at the bouncer and smiled, “It is me and I haven't been here is over three years. But we used to come here all the time.”

 

Talon looked at Sorano confused and then looked around her and his eyes fell on Kagome, Rin and Sango, “WOW!! You're all here!” Inuyasha looked down at Kagome and saw her smile and wave.

 

“It's good to see you again Talon. How are you?” Kagome asked as she smiled more at the youkai. Inuyasha had to hold in the growl that was trying to escape. Get a grip Inuyasha. You just met the girl and now you are growling at any male that comes close to her or that she smiles at.

 

“I'm doing great Miko. And I have read that you are all doing great as well!! How was the American Tour?”

 

Sango answered from right behind Inuyasha and he jumped slightly, “It was good Talon. But it is even better to be home again.” Talon nodded.

 

“So Talon are you going to let us in or do I have to go and wait in the line up?” Sorano tilted her head to the side and smiled at the bouncer. Talon blushed slightly and looked away when Sesshomaru growled at him.

 

“Of course you can go in Sorano. You four girls are on the VIP list for life. After everything you did for Eugene-sama it was the least that he could do.”

 

“Of course our friends will be coming in as well,” Sorano stated more as fact then a question.

 

Talon nodded as he unhooked the rope and let them pass, “Of course of course you can all go in. But I must say that Eugene-sama is going to want to talk with you Sorano. It has been a very long time since you two talked.”

 

Sorano nodded as she gently pulled Sesshomaru through the opening and into the canopy covered entrance, “I will be seeing him right away. Please tell him that I am on my way to see him.” Talon nodded as everyone passed by him and into the club.

 

Inuyasha gasped at what he saw. Inuyasha and the gang had stopped coming about a year ago due to the fact that the club had become very popular and the line up was always insane to try and get through. The club had gone through a massive renovation. They were standing in a very large entrance way and the walls were plastered with poster of Japan's local bands and some of Japan's most popular groups. The area was big enough for all eight of them to stand in and another eight people could easily fit. Sorano and Sesshomaru lead the group through the entrance way and Inuyasha's jaw dropped when they finally came into view of the club.

 

There was no other way to describe it other then incredible. Right in front of them was the largest dance floor that he had ever seen. Straight across from where they stood was the DJ booth but it raised off the floor and stood easily fifteen feet above the main stage. The main stage was quiet large for a club with drums, keyboards, guitars, bass guitars, and microphones positioned all over it. The entire club was lit with white, yellow and blues lights and gave the club a soft feel to it even though rock music was blaring out of the four six foot speakers that sat at each corner of the dance floor.

 

Directly to their left and right were two staircases. Each staircase started near the center of the room and curved off towards the walls in a wide arc. The stairs lead to the second level of the club that was filled with a bar on each side and silver clothed covered tables. Also on the second floor were four doors on each side. Inuyasha guessed that these doors lead to the VIP rooms. On the main floor there was one bar off to the far right and chairs and couches lined the walls. Inuyasha was pulled from his examining of the club as Kagome pulled him forward.

 

“Oh shit yeah!” As Kagome pulled him forward Inuyasha noticed that off to the far left was five pool tables.

 

Kagome giggled, “You like pool I take it.”

 

Inuyasha nodded dumbfoundedly. Kagome shook her head as she led Inuyasha towards Sorano who was standing between the two staircases. Inuyasha looked away from the pool tables and towards the dance floor. He cocked his head as he spotted four huge cloth banners that were hanging from the tall ceiling. Inuyasha gasped as he finally saw what was on them.

 

Each one of the banners had a full body shot of each member of The Sage. “Holy Shit…” Kagome looked at Inuyasha and then at where he was looking.

 

Kagome sighed, “I thought he said that he was going to take those down.”

 

Sango came to stand next to Kagome and gasped, “That lying son of a…”

 

“Sango don't even finish that sentence. Did you really think that Poppy was going to take those down? We were discovered in this club. He likes the bragging rights.”

 

“I know but still…” Sango growled and shook her head. Kagome gently patted Sango on the back.

 

Inuyasha looked from Kagome to Sango then to Sorano, “Poppy?”

 

Sorano smiled, “Eugene.”

 

Sesshomaru turned away from staring at the huge banner of Sorano, who was holding her bass guitar and looking very serious as she sang into the hands free mic. At least she looked like she was singing in the banner. “Why do you call Eugene Poppy?”

 

Sorano looked at Sesshomaru and smiled, “We call him Poppy because he is kind of like a father to all us in the band. He gave us our first open mic night slot and from that point on we were a huge hit in this club.” Sesshomaru nodded.

 

Inuyasha was only half paying attention. He was to busy staring at the banners. He didn't notice before but each banner had a quote at the bottom of it. Sorano's said, `Life is never what you think it is going to be. That's why to grab it and hold on for the ride.' Inuyasha turned and looked at Kagome's banner. She was standing sideways as she looked over her shoulder. She was holding her guitar and she looked so beautiful. Hers said, `The past is in the past but the future is still to come.' The next poster was Rin's and she was standing behind her keyboards with a huge smile on her face. Hers read, `No one is as they seem. Why do you think we are able to smile.' The last poster was Sango's and she was sitting behind her drums and was twirling one drumstick in the air and she had a smirk on her face. Hers made Inuyasha laugh as it said, `If I piss you off then I must be doing something right.'

 

Inuyasha was still laughing when he felt someone hit him in the shoulder. Inuyasha stopped laughing and looked at Kagome, “What?!”

 

“What is so funny?”

 

Inuyasha chuckled as he turned to Sango and grabbed her hand and shook it, “That is the best thing I have every heard.”

 

Sango tilted her head, “Come again.”

 

Inuyasha pointed up to Sango's banner and Sango looked up and read the quote, “HA! They used that quote! Sweet!”

 

Miroku came to stand next to Sango and read the banner over her shoulder, “ `If I piss you off then I must be doing something right.' Sango my flower that isn't very nice.”

 

Sango just laughed harder. Between her laughter Sango gasped, “The photographer… was so… mad at me… because I wouldn't… smile so I said that… and the reporter… he laughed and said… that was an awesome quote…”

 

Rin walked to Inuyasha's other side, “I remember that day. Taijiya you had that photographer so mad I thought he was going to have an aneurysm!”

 

Sango wiped a tear from her eye and just shrugged, “He was hitting on all of us and I think his IQ was 3. If someone is going to be stupid then they deserve to be verbally bitch slapped.”

 

Inuyasha nodded. That should have been her quote as well. I couldn't agree more. Inuyasha was drawn from his musings as a tall ningen with shoulder length black hair appeared behind Sorano. Sesshomaru started to growl and wrapped his arm around Sorano's waist. Sorano gasped as Sesshomaru pulled her to his side.

 

“Sorry to interrupt but Eugene-sama would like to speak with Sorano,” the ningen stated as he bowed to the group.

 

Sesshomaru growled again but Sorano gently placed her hand on his chest and shook her head. Sesshomaru nodded at Sorano and stopped growling. Fuck I need her to teach me that trick! I would love to know how to shut Sesshomaru up like that.

 

“Tell Pop..ermm..Eugene that I will be in to see him shortly,” The ningen bowed again and walked off in the direction that he had come. Sorano turned her attention back to the group, “I'm going to go and see Poppy. Kagome why don't you lead everyone to the VIP rooms. It is a lot quieter up there and I will be there shortly.”

 

Kagome nodded as she pulled Inuyasha towards the stairs to the left. Sorano turned to Sesshomaru and whispered someone to him. Inuyasha couldn't quiet make it out from all the music that was playing. Sesshomaru nodded and released his hold on her as she turned and walked off in the direction of the ningen.

 

“Come on everyone let's go,” Kagome grabbed Inuyasha's hand and started to lead the way up the stairs and towards the VIP rooms on the second floor.

Sorano weaved her way through the thin crowd of people that were dancing in front of the DJ. It had been almost three years since she had last seen or even talked to Poppy and she was kind of worried what he was going to say to her. It had a long time since that night and since then she happened brought herself to think about it…

Sorano stood in the shadows of The Shattered Soul's dance floor. This was only her second mission and she was still nervous. Sure she had been trained but now she had so much more to live for. Rin had been living with her for almost two years and every time she had to go into the United Alliance to train she had to think of another lie to tell Rin. It got even harder when she would come home bruised and bleeding. Then she had finished her training and was going on assignments. Suzuki was a good teacher but she was right in telling her that the field was a hundred times different then the simulations.

 

A movement in the shadows caught Sorano's attention and she glanced to the right. There was her target. He was a cougar youkai from Africa and his name was Bahari. He was wanted on many counts of ningen killings in Africa and was just recently linked to a number of ningen killings in Japan. It was her job to draw him out and capture him alive. Of course the United Alliance wanted him alive. They wanted almost all suspects alive. Then again they did tell her that if he proved to be a problem that it was within her duty to kill him.

 

`And he should die for what he did to those ningen. He didn't just kill them he massacred them. Some of the ningen couldn't even be identified. He is a monster and should be killed for the crimes that he committed.' Sorano sighed. `Calm yourself girl or you're going to give yourself away.'

 

Bahari was sitting with some other youkai at a table in the corner. From where Sorano was hiding she could see them perfectly. She would have been able to hear them too if she was wearing her armor. But she was only to activate her armor if she was about to do battle. The nano-tech was still in the first stages of production and the activation of the armor sent out a wave of youki that other youkai could immediately sense. Last thing she wanted was to give herself away.

 

Bahari laughed at something one of the youkai said and his laughter make Sorano cringe. `How can such a thing laugh so whole heartedly when he kills ningen with such blood lust?' Sorano just shook her head and got comfortable. This was going to take awhile.

 

Sorano had been sitting in her hiding spot for the past five and half hours and still Bahari didn't seem like he was moving. Sorano sighed, `Rin is going to kill me. I just hope she didn't wake up. I finally got her to sleep and if she wakes up from one of her nightmares and finds me gone I will never hear the end of it.'

 

Sorano pulled herself from her musings and looked back at her target. Sorano smiled when she saw him stand up and pat one of the youkai on the back. `About time!' Bahari laughed as he shrugged and started to make his way to the back of the club. Sorano stood up, without making a sound, and followed in the shadows after her prey. Bahari wasn't even aware of the fact that he was being followed. He weaved through the dancers as he headed for the back exit.

 

Bahari reached the security door and glanced over his shoulder. Sorano sank into the shadow of one of the pillars and waited to hear the click of a door opening. About five minutes later the door finally clicked softly open and then closed again. Sorano waited another five minutes before she followed out the door and after Bahari.

 

Sorano walked out into an alleyway and sniffed the air. Bahari had headed farther into the alley and into the shadows. `Great now I have to follow this youkai all over the city.' Sorano sighed as she sank into the shadows and followed his fresh scent. Suddenly the alleyway stopped and there was no sign of Bahari. Sorano leapt from the shadows and examined the brick wall.

 

“How did he just disappear?” Sorano sniffed the air and suddenly stiffened. She turned around and a strong-clawed hand wrapped around her throat and lifted her into the air. Sorano gasped for air as she stared at her attacker.

 

“So da United Alliance cam to find me?”

 

Bahari squeezed her throat and Sorano gasped for air, “I don't… know what… you… are talk..ing… about…”

 

Bahari laughed as he pulled Sorano closer to his face, “Sure you don't know what I'm talkin bout. Yous been followin me for while now. What choo doin if yous ain't followin me?”

 

“I hav..t… seen a youk…ai like you before…” `Think Sorano think! He has you by the throat and if you use your youki then he will know that you work for the United Alliance.'

 

Suddenly Sorano looked over the cougars shoulder and saw a large piece of wood come flying towards the back of Bahari's head. With a deafening sick thunk the board collided with the back of Bahari's head. Bahari yelled out and dropped Sorano. Sorano grabbed her throat and started to cough. `What the hell was that?!' Sorano looked up and saw a huge man standing about ten feet away.

 

Sorano's eyes widened as her eyes finally focused on the one that had saved her. He wasn't a man he was a youkai and a huge one at that. It had to easily stand at least eight feet tall and was about as wide as two and half men. He had shoulder length scruffy brown hair and deep brown eyes. His ears were slightly pointed and when he growled he differently had fangs. Bahari recovered from the attack and turned on his attacker. Without so much as a word Bahari leapt forward and extended his claws as he got ready to strike.

 

“LOOK OUT!” The large youkai, though he was huge, moved with such speed that it startled Sorano. Soon an all out battle was on between the two youkai. Fortunately the cougar youkai was running low on youki and was tiring out. The large youkai leapt forward and landed a punch to Bahari's head. The sound of the large youkai's fist connecting with Bahari skull made a gut clenching sound. Bahari hit the ground and stopped moving.

 

Sorano stood up, still rubbing her throat that was probably bruising already, and started to walk towards Bahari and the youkai. She came to stop beside the two and looked at Bahari. His eyes were open but were rolled into the back of his head. Sorano looked at the other youkai and saw that he was breathing heavily.

 

“You shouldn't have gotten involved in this. It had nothing to do with you. Though I will thank-you for getting him to let go of my throat. However I could easily have handled him.”

 

The youkai chuckled, “I am sure that you could have easily handled him seeing as you had him in the palm of your hand.”

 

Sorano glared at the youkai as she turned towards Bahari. She kicked him over and glared down at him, “Bahari you are under arrest for crimes against humanity. Under the human-youkai code of conduct you are in breech of codes 1, 3, 5, 6, and 12. It is within the laws of the Untied Alliance that you are to be held until a trail can be held.”

 

“Kami-sama! You are a member of the United Alliance!!”

 

Sorano turned her attention away from Bahari and glared at the youkai, “Could you say it any louder I don't think the people in China heard you!”

 

Suddenly the youkai that she was yelling at paled. Sorano glanced over her shoulder and saw that Bahari had regained consciousness and had his claws out and was ready to attack. The next events happened so fast that Sorano still couldn't believe what had happened. The youkai that was standing behind her grabbed her shoulders and pushed her out of the way. As she was falling she saw Bahari's claws rip across her saviours face. The youkai roared out in pain as his blood sprayed against Sorano's face and her shirt.

 

Sorano hit the ground hard and the youkai backed up and fell to his knees as he reached up and grabbed his face. Bahari got to his feet and glared at the youkai that was bleeding. Sorano saw red. This youkai had helped her again and now the scent of his blood was filling the alleyway. Sorano stood up and placed one hand on her necklace and one hand on her belt. She narrowed her eyes and let her youki flare out.

 

The necklace she was wearing started to glow at the same time so did her belt. Glowing white threads shot out of her belt and necklace and started to wrap around her body. Bahari turned and looked at Sorano with mixed confusion. Sorano let her youki flow freely and the threads grew in numbers as they wrapped her completely from neck to foot. Sorano closed her eyes as the threads finished covering her and they gave off an intense light as they solidified. Sorano opened her eyes and glared at Bahari. Bahari backed up and pointed at Sorano.

 

“Yous…yous a… United Alliance!!”

 

Sorano grinned as she raised her hand before herself. Her hand started to glow from her youki as she pointed two fingers at Bahari, “Yes Bahari I am a member of the United Alliance. I would have let you live if you would have not attacked an innocent youkai. Now you shall die!”

“I asked you your name!”

 

Sorano blinked a few times as she tried to figure out what was going on. She looked at the ningen in front of her and noticed that she was standing in front of the office. Sorano looked around and shook her head. I must have walked here without realizing it.

 

“Sorry I was day dreaming,” Sorano smiled weakly, “My name is Sorano and Eugene-san is waiting for me.”

 

The ningen nodded as he checked the clipboard that he was holding. “Alright go on in.” The ningen motioned to a door behind him. Sorano nodded and walked towards the door and opened it. Once inside Sorano almost laughed. Still as paranoid as ever. Inside the room was three more doors one on each side of the room. Sorano walked to the door to the left and grasped the door knob. She turned it and walked into the room.

Kagome lead the group up the stairs and to the second level. Though she hadn't been here is almost three years the general layout stayed the same. The doors against the walls on the second floor lead to the VIP rooms. Each room was like its own little club. Kagome reached the top of the stairs and gripped Inuyasha's hand tighter as she led him to the first door on the second floor. The music was so much quieter and Kagome sighed in relief. She didn't like loud noises. Usually during their concerts she would wear earplugs to help dim down the noise. How Sorano could stand the noise was still beyond her but she wasn't about to ask Sorano about it.

 

Kagome reached the door and noticed that the rooms were now code key locked. Kagome didn't remember the VIP room ever having them before. Kagome stopped and released Inuyasha's hand.

 

“Kagome what's wrong?”

 

Kagome turned to Inuyasha and then back to the lock, “The doors were never locked three years ago.”

 

Sango came around the corner and looked at the lock, “Wow I see that Poppy has taken extra care in security since we were last here.”

 

Rin walked up to the other side of Sango and looked at the lock, “Oh this is too easy.” Rin slipped between Sango and the lock and started to push keys. Kagome smiled. Of course Rin would be able to hack into the system and get the doors unlocked. She is the best Central Command Op that we have. It only took Rin about a minute before there was a definite `click' and the door swung open.

 

“Wow Rin that was awesome,” Koga stated from just behind Inuyasha.

 

Rin turned around and smiled as she led the way into the room. Kagome reached over and grabbed Inuyasha's hand again and walked into the room. She smiled when she entered the room. She had chosen the best room. The room was filled with gigantic pillows and low couches. A large circular low table was directly in the middle of the room. Off to the side was a small bar that was completely stocked. Rin laughed and ran into the room. She jumped and landed on the pillows.

 

“This is such an awesome room!! Poppy really out did himself!!” Rin snuggled further into the pillows and sighed happily. Sango, Sesshomaru, Koga and Miroku followed after Rin and sat around in the room. Inuyasha made to follow but Kagome stopped him.

 

“Inuyasha would you like to dance?”

 

Inuyasha raised an eyebrow and smiled, “I'd love to.” Kagome smiled as Inuyasha offered her his hand. Kagome took it as he led the way from the room. Inuyasha almost ran down the stairs as he made his way to the dance floor. Kagome laughed as she held on tightly to Inuyasha's hand as he weaved around the thickening crowd of people.

 

Just as they reached the dance floor an American song started to blare through the speakers. It was one of Kagome's favourite songs. Ever since they had met Green Day in the states she had become a huge fan of theirs. The song was American Idiot. The minute it started to play Kagome started to dance. They weren't even at the dance floor before she started to move her hips to the beat of the music.

 

Inuyasha pulled Kagome around by her hand and she laughed. He pulled Kagome to him and wrapped his arms around her waist. Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck and started to grind her hips into his as the song continued on. She ran her hands through Inuyasha's hair as he ran his hands up and down her back. Kagome was lost in Inuyasha's eyes as they grinded around the dance floor.

 

I could stay like this forever. We fit so perfectly together. I love how soft his hair is. And his ears!! I just love them. I wonder how soft they are? Kagome ran her hands through his hair as she made her way up to his ears. She smiled as Inuyasha started to close his eyes and even though she couldn't hear it she could swear that he was whimpering. Kagome smiled as she started to rub the base of his ear. Inuyasha closed his eyes completely and bit his lip. Kagome grinned as she continued to rub the base of his ears in small circles.

 

Kagome gently worked her massage up his ears and when she reached the tip of his ear she rubbed to vigorously between her thumb and index finger. Inuyasha's eyes shot open and he started to pant. Kagome gasped at the look of desire in his eyes. Inuyasha quickly leaned forward and burrowed his head into her neck as his wrapped his arms around her tightly, stopping her from dancing anymore.

 

“Kag… Kagome…”

 

Kagome swallowed the urge to moan as his hot breath caressed her neck. Kagome bit her lip when Inuyasha started to rub his face into the crook of her neck. “Inuyasha…”

 

Inuyasha pulled away just a little bit and his breath on her neck was making her knees weak. Kagome was thankful that he was holding onto her so tightly because she knew that she would have fallen if he weren't. “Kagome I have never felt like this before.”

 

“What do you mean?” Kami-sama his breathing is driving me crazy.

 

Kagome heard Inuyasha inhale deeply through his nose. “Kagome your scent… sweet… tastes so good…” Kagome shuttered when she heard Inuyasha sniffing her neck. I wonder if he can smell my arousal? This feels so good!

 

Kagome moaned deeply when she felt Inuyasha lightly kiss her pulse. “Kagome I meant it. I,” he kissed her again, “have,” again he kissed her, “never,” another kiss, “felt,” Kagome moaned as she felt Inuyasha's tongue gently lick against her throat, “like this.”

 

Kagome closed her eyes and gently pulled away from Inuyasha. She opened her eyes and saw the confused look on his face. Kagome smiled as she placed her hand on his cheek and gently caressed it. “Inuyasha.” Kagome leaned forward and gently placed her lips against his. Kagome felt Inuyasha stiffen as she pressed her lips more firmly against his.

 

It was as if she had released a floodgate of passion within Inuyasha. He growled as he kissed her back but with such passionate that Kagome gasped. Inuyasha took the opportunity and slid his tongue into her mouth. He tasted like the wild. Well at least what Kagome thought the wild would taste like. Kagome sucked on his tongue and felt him growl. Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. Kagome slid her tongue into Inuyasha's mouth. She couldn't get enough of his taste. Kagome rubbed her tongue against his and lights started to dance in front of closed eyes.

 

Kagome rubbed her hips against his. She had a huge ache in her nether regions and it was getting hotter and hotter. Kagome rubbed her tongue over one of his fangs and suddenly pulled back. Inuyasha slowly opened his eyes and looked at Kagome. Kagome moaned from just the look in his eyes. Kagome placed a finger in her mouth and rubbed her tongue when she removed it she noticed blood was on her finger. Inuyasha took her finger with his mouth and sucked on it.

 

Inuyasha released her finger and licked his lips, “Delicious.”

 

Before Kagome could even make a sound Inuyasha devoured her lips again. He licked at her lips and Kagome opened her mouth. She felt herself leaning backwards as Inuyasha sucked on her tongue and rubbed his tongue throughout her mouth. Kagome wrapped a leg around his hip to try and better balance herself. Inuyasha moved one of his hands from her back and traced down her back over the swell of her buttock and down her thigh to the nook of her knee where he hooked his hand and pulled her closer.

 

Suddenly Kagome felt herself ripped from Inuyasha's embrace and thrown across the dance floor. Kagome screamed out as she hit her head on the hard wood floor. Kagome instantly saw stars as she tried to stand up. A wave of dizziness washed over her and she sank back down to the floor shaking.

 

Kagome looked up and saw someone running at her. She sensed the person's youki and knew it wasn't Inuyasha. Kagome scooted back as the person leapt into the air and raised both arms ready to attack. She couldn't do anything! She couldn't even move without being over come with dizziness! I can't summon my miko! Oh Kami-sama!!! Sorano… Sango… Inuyasha…!

 

“NNNNOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!”

A/N: I know I know!!! Evil cliffhanger!!! I will probably be writing the next chapter right away. I told you all that I was having messed up dreams about this chapter and the ideas are really flying now. So the next chapter might be out tonight or it will be out tomorrow night.
