A/N: Some of you have asked some questions so I will be answering them as best as I can without giving to much of the plot away ^_^

 

Poptart - I know you really want to know what the girls are going to tell the guys and I have to say that I already gave the answer to that is a past chapter ^_^ (I believe it was Sango who gave the statement that ultimately lead to what happens in this chapter) As for the guys being mad lets just say that they will enjoying themselves to much to be thinking about it ^_~

Chapter Fifteen

When Dreams are really Reality

 

Kagome barely had a chance to look over her shoulder before the first wasp dived right at her. Kagome swerved the bike and jumped the curb to avoid getting hit by the wasp. What the hell! How are we suppose to attack when it's hard enough to defend?!

 

<Okay Red a plan would nice right about now!> Kagome looked over her shoulder at Inuyasha who was also looking at the swarm of wasp youkai that was slowly gaining on them.

 

Kagome was about to response to Inuyasha when Sorano's voice came through, <Central Command are the motorbikes hooked up yet?> Kagome grinned to herself. Of course that would work! I still have so much to learn from you Sorano.

 

Rin's voice was next to come on, <They are ready when you are.>

 

<Miko inform the guys that they need to hang on. They would never have felt anything like this before.>

 

<Hai!> Kagome pressed the little red button on her handle, <Inuyasha. Miroku. The bikes are going to be changing in a matter of moments. Do not move and hang on!>

 

<Sage this is Central Command. Reconfiguration of Transportation about to commence!>

 

<What the hell is going to happening now?!>

 

No sooner had Inuyasha said this that the front and rear tires started to extend from the bike as the body of it was lowered to the ground. The body of the bike started to glow as the nano-tech was activated. Kagome could feel Inuyasha tense as the nano-tech flowed across both their legs.

 

<Inuyasha remain calm. It will be over in a few moments.>

 

Instantly Inuyasha relaxed as the nano-tech flashed brilliantly and then solidified creating an armour like covering over their legs. This sealed them to the bike so that they wouldn't get unseated. Kagome's windshield lit up and shot off tendrils of white thread like streaks. The tendrils flew over both Kagome and Inuyasha as they connected to the remaining portion of the seat that Inuyasha wasn't sitting on. The threads webbed themselves together as they created a dome like roof that completely blocked them from sight. Kagome was momentary blinked as the tendrils solidified and became a tinted dome glass roof.

 

<I think it is safe to say that I have seen everything now!>

 

Kagome laughed, <Don't be so sure.>

 

<Configuration is now complete. Activating digital camera feeds!>

 

Kagome and Inuyasha were once again blinded temporarily as the dome lit up and six video screens were activated. Each one of the six showed a different camera that Central Command had set up enroute to the construction site.

 

Inuyasha grasped, <Holy shit this is like watching six different TV's at once!>

 

<I agree. Except that these TV's are showing us the wasp youkai that want us dead.>

 

<Keh.>

 

Kagome shook her head as Miroku and Inuyasha continued their little argument. Kagome watched as Sango and Kirara descended until they were flying between the two of them. <All right Haven a plan would be very nice right about now.>

 

<Taijiya you and Kirara take the lead. Miko and I will cover your back.>

 

<Understood!> Sango and Kirara shot forward and once she was safely ahead Kagome and Sorano closed the gap between them. I really wish I had the room to draw my bow. Of course we still aren't far enough out of the city to attack them.

 

<Sage this is Central Command your ETA is 1 minute and 32 seconds. Once you enter the park head straight through the trees and shrubs to the construction site. The teams are already for you. They will watch your back.>

 

<Central Command this is Haven; that isn't going to do us any good. The youkai will be directly on top of us in approximately 34 seconds.>

 

<Miko you're the only one with a weapon on you. Taijiya double back and get Miko. She can buy you the time you will need in order to enter the park.>

 

<Hai!> Kagome and Sango both yelled at once. Sango and Kirara slowed down and flew beside Kagome and Inuyasha. As one they turned the corner and entered the straightaway to the entrance of the park.

 

Kagome turned on the link between her and Inuyasha one last time. <Inuyasha.>

 

<Red?>

 

<I'm leaving. Headquarters will be controlling the bike once I leave. All you have to do is hang on and enjoy the ride.>

 

<WHAT!>

 

<Listen I need to help with the defence or we're not going to make it into the park alive. I am the only one that can do this. Don't worry I will protect you.>

 

Kagome half listened as Inuyasha ranted about how stupid this was and that she could end up getting herself killed. Kagome watched the video feeds and waited until the wasps had pulled back slightly. Sango and Kirara moved even closer to the bike as they neared the entrance to the park. The wasps were dive-bombing so quickly and so fast that Kagome had to swerve to miss them.

 

Perfect now's my chance! <Central Command take control of the bike!>

 

<Understood!>

 

<Central Command?!> Shit!! Kagome looked down and saw that she still have her finger on the link between their helmets. Kagome couldn't wait any longer to go or to worry about her mistake. The video feeds went dead as a thin white line raced across the dome like roof. The nano-tech that was covering Kagome's legs receded and the minute her legs were free Kagome jumped up and crouched on her seat. The dome roof slid open, leaving only enough room for Kagome to jump out.

 

Kagome stood up and looked for Sango and Kirara. They had been momentarily pushed away as three wasp youkai dived right between them and bike. <Taijiya just a little closer and I'll…>

 

<MIKO!!>

 

Kagome suddenly felt something wrap around her mid section and lift her into the air. Kagome looked down and saw that the dome to the bike had been sealed up as the bike shot forward to caught up with Sorano. Kagome twisted around and saw that she was being held tightly by one of the wasp youkai.

 

Kagome gasped as the wasps eyes changed from sickly yellow to a blood red. What the… did its eyes just change?!

 

<Miko!! Miko!!>

 

Kagome looked away from the wasp and saw that the swarm of wasps were leaving the others as they followed after her. Kagome looked into the swarm and saw that Taijiya was trying to brake through the vast swarm to get to get to her.

 

<Taijiya I can't reach my bow and arrows. They are holding me to tightly to their body.>

 

Sango nodded, <Miko your going to have to use your miko to brake free. It's the only way to get you out of there without hurting you.>

 

Kagome nodded <Get Kirara to chase the swarm as close to me as possible. We might as well take out as many as we can.>

 

<Hai!>

 

***

 

Inuyasha death gripped the seat in front of him as Red leapt from the bike. These are the craziest females I have ever met. Thank Kami-sama Kagome isn't a part of this messed up group of people. I would seriously kill her if she were. Once she was gone the dome closed and the video feeds once again hummed to life.

 

<Oh Shit!> One of the feeds was showing Red being carried off into the night sky by a wasp and the pink one on the neko chasing after her. The pink one will never make it to her in time! The wasps are slowly making their escape. I knew this was a bad idea.

 

<What the hell…>

 

<My thoughts exactly Inuyasha. Why is the neko and the pink one chasing the wasps closer to Red?>

 

<I don't think this is going to end well…>

 

Suddenly the wasp youkai were so close to Red that Inuyasha was unable to see her at all. No she can't be… Inuyasha suddenly felt the fine hairs on the back of neck stand on end. The air was filling with spiritual energy. Inuyasha sniffed the air to try and locate its source but the dome roof was blocking him from smelling anything.

 

Inuyasha looked into the feed just as fuchsia coloured energy started to crackle through the wasps. Some of them took off but others seemed like they were attracted to it as they closed in around it. Is Red the one that created the kekkai in the clearing earlier tonight? Could she be a miko?

 

Inuyasha looked away as the video feed flashed an intense fuchsia. Hissing and screeching rent the night air as the energy purified all the wasps that were to stupid to flee when they first felt the power. Inuyasha blinked a few times to get rid himself of the dancing green dots and saw that Red was now falling from the sky.

 

<Red!>

 

The pink one and the neko flew up and caught Red about ten feet from the ground. Inuyasha looked intently at the screen that was showing the three of them and sighed in relief when Red started to move as she slowly climbed into a sitting position on the back of the neko.

 

Inuyasha jerked forward as the bike suddenly jumped a curb and entered the trees. It was weird to be sitting on a motorbike and seeing the handles moving with no one there. I guess this Central Command person really is controlling the bike. I don't know why she didn't just let me drive.

 

<Inuyasha how are you doing over there?>

 

Inuyasha glanced to the side and just noticed the bike that Miroku was as on sped further ahead and into the trees. <I guess as good as I'm going to get. I mean I'm the only one on this bike and I'm not even driving.>

 

<Do not worry yourself Inuyasha. The bike is being controlled by a very capable driver.>

 

<Well… erm… Silver?… I don't feel that comfortable in a vehicle that I'm not driving.>

 

Inuyasha looked away from Miroku and Silver as they criss-crossed through the park as they all made their way to the construction site that was just beyond the trees. A roar drew Inuyasha's attention and he smiled when he saw that the neko, the pink one and Red were now flying beside him. <Are you okay Red?>

 

Red turned her head in his direction and nodded, <I wasn't expecting them to do that but at least their aren't so many to worry about.>

 

<Agreed but I still stick by what I said earlier. That was a stupid idea and you could have been killed.>

 

<Inuyasha trust me when I say that we all watch each other backs. Nothing would have happened back then.>

 

Inuyasha just shook his head as he returned his gaze to watch the forest fly past them. It was about ten minutes before the trees started to thin and it was slowly getting a little brighter. Inuyasha and Silver burst through the under brush and emerged onto a clear meadow. In the near distance Inuyasha could make out the machines and mounds of earth that defined the location of the construction site.

 

<Mina-san we are only a few minutes away from the site.> Suddenly the line went dead and Inuyasha sighed. I wish I knew what they were saying half the time. No sooner had Inuyasha thought this then the neko, carrying Red and the pink one, shot forward as they lead the way to the construction site and the fate of Inuyasha and Miroku.

Sorano followed Kirara into the construction site. Because of Kagome's miko's attack the wasp youkai seemed to have given up. Kirara touched down and Kagome and Sango leapt off her back. The nano-tech on the bikes lit up as Sorano felt the bike rise. In a few short seconds the bike was back to normal and Miroku was climbing off the back. Sorano followed after Miroku as the bike that was carrying Inuyasha came to a stop and returned to normal.

 

A purple clad male walked towards Sorano and bowed. <We have been awaiting your arrival Haven. Team Trion is at your service as well as Team Nova and Team Kalmia. We have never worked together so I will introduce myself. My name is Zaide. I am the Team Lead of Kalmia.>

 

Sorano bowed, <I have heard about you Zaide. I will be taking command of the operation from this point on.>

 

<Hai.>

 

Sorano turned around and smiled as Inuyasha ran over to Kagome and started to talk with her. At least he is concerned for her. I wonder if he knows that it is Kagome behind that helmet. No matter all will be revealed in do time. Sorano order Zaide to prepare the transportation for Inuyasha and Miroku. They were to head back to the United Alliance immediately.

 

Zaide bowed again and began following through with the orders. Sorano turned and made her way towards the others. She looked into the forest and there was still no sign of the wasp youkai. I can't smell them so that must be a good sign. I wonder if Kagome can sense them. I didn't think that they would give up after that last attack but I can't say that I will be upset if they did.

 

Sorano reached Kagome and Sango and stopped just beside them. <Central Command told me that the guys can no longer hear us through their helmets. After the guys heard about Central Command Innocence decided to shut off their communicators so that they wouldn't hear anything else.>

 

Sango crossed her arms and nodded, <That does make sense. What are they going to do with them now?>

 

Sorano looked at Inuyasha and Miroku who were looking at the three of them like they were aliens. <They are to leave as soon as possible. I don't want them here if the wasp youkai decide to show up.>

 

Kagome nodded, <I agree they need to get out of here. I can't fight if I feel like I need to watch them all the time.>

 

Sorano nodded and walked over to the guys. She reached up and touched the little United Alliance Logo that sat in the middle of their helmets. The logo lit up and the nano-tech receded back into its pear shaped form. Sorano took the helmets and placed them in her pocket.

 

~ “Inuyasha, Miroku, you are both leaving immediately. I am not sure if the wasp youkai are going to return or not but we are not going to take that risk.” ~

 

“We can help you you know! I do know how to fight!”

 

~ “I know you can fight but you can't fight these youkai. We have been trained to work as a team and to know each other perfectly when we are in battle. You are going to the United Alliance Headquarters where you will await are return.” ~

 

“I will not…” Suddenly Inuyasha crumpled and fell to the ground. Standing behind him was Sango and she was holding a small syringe. I'm sorry you two but you cannot be awaken for this.

 

Miroku turned and looked at Sango and held out his hands, “Now wait just a minute. I am more then willing to go to the Headquarters. I don't think tha…” Miroku's eyes rolled back as he too fell forward in a heap on the ground. Standing behind him was Zaide and he too was holding a syringe.

 

<Everything is ready Haven. They will be leaving at once. The scanners haven't picking up any signs of the wasp youkai. Shall we leave as well?>

 

Sorano crossed her arms. I don't think that this is over but what choice do we have. Our order was to get Konala back and we did. But I have a feeling that there is something more to this. <Haven your orders?>

 

Sorano shook her head. <We will all be leaving at once.>

Inuyasha slowly opened his eyes and looked around the room. His head was pounding and the back of his neck was stinging a little. What happened… Suddenly the events of the night before came flooding back to him. Inuyasha sat up and threw back the covers to his bed. My bed?

 

Inuyasha rubbed his eyes and looked around the room. He was back in his bed and in his room. But how can that be??? I was out with Miroku and we went to see a movie. We left the movie theatre and decided to cut through the park. That's when we ran into those females from the United Alliance. Red and Silver and that pink one. Plus that little fire neko.

 

Inuyasha slowly climbed out of bed and walked over to his window. He grasped the curtain and through them open. It was still night. Inuyasha shook his head and walked over to his nightstand and looked at the clock. It read 11:34p.m. It's only just past 11p.m. and I'm in bed? But I don't remember coming home. I don't remember anything but those three girls and the battles that happened tonight.

 

Inuyasha plopped back onto his bed, grabbed a pillow, and smashed it over this face. What is happening me? I didn't dream that did I? Was it all a dream? A really vivid dream. Inuyasha growled in frustration and threw the pillow aside. Inuyasha laid quietly on his bed as he tried to figure out what was going on.

 

It was about ten minutes later and finally Inuyasha sat up and ran a hand through his hair. It must have been a dream. I have been hanging around Miroku to often. Him and his babbling about the United Alliance and how it really exists. Inuyasha reached for his cell phone that sat on the nightstand. The light was flashing on it meaning that he had a voice message.

 

Inuyasha flipped open his phone and waited for the message to play. ~Hey Inuyasha. It's me Kagome. I just got home about twenty minutes ago and I thought that I would leave this message. When you didn't answer the first time I thought that you were still out with Miroku. But I called Miroku and he said that you just wanted to go home and he dragged you to the coffee shop so you could quote unquote `pick up girls'. I figured that was enough to give anyone a headache and that is why you didn't answer your phone. I hope that he didn't give you too much of a headache. I will see you at school tomorrow. Have good dreams!! Hugs and kisses. Bye! ~

 

Inuyasha smiled to himself as he closed his phone. Yeah that is what happened. No wonder I wanted to go home and lay down. That hentai Miroku. At least Kagome is in good spirits about the whole thing. I don't want her to think that I'm a lecher too.

 

Inuyasha placed his phone on the nightstand as he set his alarm. I'll call Kagome in the morning. She said that she hated recording at the studio because the recordings always took so long and the room was always hot. Inuyasha flopped back onto his bed and smiled to himself. I have to admit that was one hell of a messed up dream.

Kagome stood outside the conference room and waited for Sorano to be finished. When they arrived at the Headquarters the guys were immediately taken to the observation rooms. Sorano said not to worry and that everything was going to be taken care of.

 

I have to admit that that was pure genius. Calling in a moth youkai to put both Inuyasha and Miroku into enchanted illusions. Once there we could put together an illusion that they would believe is what really happened. Of course I had to be in the room so that he could smell me and I could say a fake message.

 

Team Kalmia had taken the two guys home and assured Sorano that they would be treated with the up most care. Kagome thought that it was going to be hard to get Inuyasha into the house without Sesshomaru seeing them but it turned out that Sesshomaru was at board meeting all night and that he wouldn't even be in school tomorrow because of them.

 

Kagome heard clicking of heels on the tile floor and turned her head just in time to see Sango and Kirara walking towards them. Kagome pushed off the wall and smiled at Sango. “Late as usually I see.”

 

“Well I had to be in the room with Miroku later then I thought. The illusion didn't seem to want to take effect on him. Julia said that it was because his mind was very fond of what happened tonight and that only producing an even more powerful illusion would make him think it was all a dream.”

 

“What did you have to do?”

 

Sango groaned and hung her head. “Ihadtoaskhimout.”

 

Kagome cocked an eyebrow, “Now again only this time say each word loudly and clearly for those of us who didn't hear it.”

 

Sango glared at Kagome as she crossed her arms, “I said. I HAD TO ASK HIM OUT!!”

 

Kagome just stared at Sango. She did what? Wait that would mean that the only way to make him think that tonight was a dream was by… Kagome couldn't hold it in anymore. She burst out laughing and doubled over by the force of it.

 

“HA HA!! Not very funny! Now I have to go out with that lecherous monk and actually try and enjoy the evening myself.”

 

“Nothing to worry about Taijiya. I think that he will treat you like a real lady.”

 

“Yeah as he gropes my ass!”
