~The drops of rain they fall all over~
~This awkward silence makes me crazy~
A thirteen-year-old Inu-Yasha sat in the back seat of Sesshô-Maru’s black car, watching the raindrops pelt the window and run down the tinted window.
"Did you have to wear that?", Sesshô-Maru sneered and Inu-Yasha shrugged. He was in his favorite blink-182 sweatshirt and black flood out pants, like always. His nails were painted black, and he had a blink-182 sweatband on his wrist. The blink-182 baseball cap covered his ears, and he had pulled his long silver hair back into a ponytail. He thought he looked good. (A.N/Three guesses what his favorite band is?)
"Did you have to drag me to a dinner party?", he retorted and Sesshô-Maru grunted.
~The glow inside burns light upon her~
~I'll try to kiss you if you let me~
The two were silent for the rest of the ride, until they were insight of the street and the rain had died to a light drizzle.
"What do I eat?", Inu-Yasha grumbled and Sesshô-Maru grunted again.
"They don’t have ramen", and Inu-Yasha grimaced, and kicked the back of Sesshô-Maru’s driver’s seat with his boot. Sesshô-Maru took no notice. He pulled the car into the driveway of a large, white stone house. Shrubbery and trees were lined across the front lawn and two flowerbeds were magnificently made on either side of the front door, a Victorian style mahogany and glass one. Columns held up a balcony above the front door, French doors leading from up there into the house. Inu-Yasha glowered and opened the door after Sesshô-Maru parked behind a white compact car, getting out and setting foot in the mud.
"Inu-Yasha, don’t", Sesshô-Maru said coldly and Inu-Yasha shrugged and stuffed his hands in the pocket of his hooded sweatshirt.
"And why not?", he sneered and walked up towards the house through the grass, an elderly lady getting out of her car giving him a look of abhorrence.
"Inu-Yasha stop it", Sesshô-Maru grunted and walked up the wet driveway next to him, glaring down at his younger brother. Inu-Yasha shrugged again and walked up the brick walk in front of the door. Sesshô-Maru opened the door and he swept in, ignoring the man who held out his arms for a coat. Sesshô-Maru then followed, ignoring the man as well. The two walked into a large room, a sitting room, filled with lightly colored furniture and wooden floors, so Inu-Yasha did little damage. Sesshô-Maru sat next to one of the woman in a deep, bloody red evening gown, Inu-Yasha stomping over to the other side of the room and sitting on the blue leather chair in the corner. No sooner had he sat, a crash came from an upper floor.
~(this can't be the end)~
~Tidal waves they rip right through me~
"I DON’T CARE!", a feminine voice came next, and all the prominent people seated in the room quieted. Inu-Yasha grinned.
"Someone’s-"
"Don’t even", Sesshô-Maru said in a low voice and Inu-Yasha sunk into the chair as everyone began to talk again. A pounding was heard above this time, and this time the occupants of the room chose to ignore it. Inu-Yasha didn’t, he looked up at the ceiling in interest and the pounding of what was obviously footsteps walked across the sitting room, into the entry way that Sesshô-Maru and Inu-Yasha had entered through and stopped. Inu-Yasha grimaced with nothing to absorb his attention, he looked out the large glass window in front of him as the rain picked up and all of the people running to the front door in their expensive clothing.
"Dinner is served", a voice rang out and the all of the adults stood and left. Inu-Yasha stayed where he was, and Sesshô-Maru shot him a look before exiting with the other people. A few moments later, the sound of stomping diverted his attention long enough to look up to a girl who stopped and stood before him.
"You’re in my seat", she sneered and Inu-Yasha grinned.
~Tears from eyes worn cold and sad~
~Pick me up now, I need you so bad~
"Am I in the princess’ seat?", he sneered and she narrowed her eyes. She was in nearly the same attire as him, a hooded sweatshirt, black flowing pants, and a beanie except everything blink-182 was instead replaced with the band of Evanescence. Her hair was black with the tips dyed blue, flowing over her shoulders. Her Vans were covered in mud just as his shoes, and she had the plastic dollar bracelets from the outlet store, Hot Topic.
"Out of my seat, or I’ll bash your face in", she shot back and he grinned.
"Says who?"
"My mother owns this house"
"But you don’t", Inu-Yasha shot back and she went silent and grimaced. She turned and sat in the seat next to him, brooding.
"And why aren’t you eating?", the girl questioned and Inu-Yasha looked at her.
"There’s no ramen. You?"
"Over priced crap and I have to look nice or my mother won’t let me sit down", the girl said softly and looked at the window like Inu-Yasha had, watching the stragglers running inside from the street, umbrellas over their heads and carrying briefcases.
"Why are you stuck here?", Inu-Yasha questioned and the girl stared at him.
"What is this, twenty questions?"
"No, it’s called ‘Why aren’t you a preppy bitch?’", Inu-Yasha sneered and she looked away.
"‘Cause I don’t want to be. That’s my sister, Kikyou", she muttered and pulled her knees to her chest, putting her arms on top and burring her face in the sleeves of the sweatshirt.
"I know her, real bitch", Inu-Yasha he put his elbow on the chair arm and put his head in his head.
"Tell me about it", she muttered and they were silent.
~Down down down down ~
~Down down down down ~
"Wanna get out of here?", the girl questioned and Inu-Yasha stood up.
"Yes, thank the gods", he muttered and she grinned and stood up as well.
"Come on. I’m Kagome", the girl introduced and turned and swept from the room, and Inu-Yasha followed.
"Inu-Yasha"

They walked through the entry way, up a set of mahogany stairs, through a rustic room, and she stopped in front of a black door, covered in posters and stickers.
"Your room?", he smirked and she nodded, then reached through the top of her sweatshirt, and pulled out a black key. She shoved the key in the doorknob, turned it, and the door opened. It was a black room, with deep red carpet, and had only a black bed, a broken full length mirror, a pair of red doors covered in black permanent marker writing, and a desk covered in papers and held a stereo. "You sure you’re rich?", he sneered and she flicked him off. She sat down on her bed, and reached under her pillow, pulling out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
"Want one?", she muttered when she put on in her mouth, fumbling with the lighter.
"Sure, parents don’t care?"
"Parents don’t know. I lock the door", she said and lit the cigarette as soon as the flame sprouted. "They don’t pay attention anyway", she continued and handed him the pack and lighter, and he took one and lit it without any haste.
"Haven’t had one in so long...", he muttered and let out a puff of smoke.
~It gets me so~
"Yeah, well. I’m out of the good stuff", Kagome continued and Inu-Yasha nodded.
"I can smell the weed in here", he observed and sat down next to her, closer to the door.
"Kuso, lock the door, would you?", she said suddenly and Inu-Yasha jumped up, picking up the key from the bed and rushed to the door, locking it. "My mother ever found out...She’d come and redecorate my room and wardrobe...", and Inu-Yasha stared at her as he sat back down.
"She wouldn’t care about the smoking?", he questioned and she shook her head.
"She does, so why can’t I?", she said slyly and Inu-Yasha grinned.
~Down down down down ~
~Down down down down ~
"You sound like a prissy bitch to me", he snickered and her face fell into a look of desperation.
"Really? Well you sound like a homo", she shot back and he fell backwards, head on the lone, red pillow.
"Terrible comeback, just terrible", he sighed and she leaned over and punched him in the chest.
"Just for that give me my cigarette!", she teased and he smirked.
"No way in hell"

~Down down down down ~
The two talked for a while, laughing and teasing. The rain got harder from outside the French doors that led to the balcony that Inu-Yasha had seen earlier, and it didn’t seem to be letting up any time soon.
"What nice weather...", Kagome murmured and stared at the door, then grinned. "Let’s go outside!", she cried and sat up, pulling him up.
"What-", and she pulled him off of the bed and to the door.
~It gets me so~
"Yes!", she cried and flung open the door, pulling him outside. The rain came down on the two, but neither cared. Kagome giggled and threw her cigarette to the side of the balcony in the large pile already there and Inu-Yasha followed suit. "Oh, it’s so nice!", she murmured and sat down in the chair that was missing a leg, Inu-Yasha in the one next it, still intact.
"There’s nothing up here?"
"I break everything", Kagome smiled and leaned backwards, smiling.
~Your vows of silence fall all over~
~The look in your eyes makes me crazy~
"Why are you here?", she asked and Inu-Yasha shrugged.
"Sess drags me everywhere, he’s afraid I’d burn the house down making Meth or something", and Kagome burst out laughing. "What’s so funny?"
"Did you actually try and make it once?", she asked and he looked away.
"Uh, no comment!", and Kagome laughed harder.
~I feel the darkness break upon her~
~I'll take you over if you let me~
"Jees, you’ve done everything!", she cried and he shook his head.
"No, I haven’t done one thing..."
~(You did this)~
"What?", she asked and he grabbed her shoulders, kissing her.
~Tidal waves they rip right through me~
~Tears from eyes worn cold and sad~
"...No way...", Kagome murmured through his lips and she pulled away.
"What?", he questioned and she grinned.
"Not in the rain, stupid. We’ll catch cold...", and she grabbed his wet sweatshirt and pulled him back into the house.
~Pick me up now, I need you so bad. ~
Both took off their wet sweatshirts and threw them next to the balcony doors, Kagome falling backwards onto the bed, Inu-Yasha on top of her.
"You sure about this?", he questioned and she nodded.
"Oh course. Not like I care, or anyone else", she said in a seductive tone. He smirked at her and kissed her again.
~Down down down down ~
~Down down down down ~
The two emerged from the room a short time later, both wearing the wet sweatshirts again, and smirking.
"You’re gonna need a ton of air fresheners...", he teased and she smacked him on the arm.
"Shut up", she sneered and he smirked, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Where were you?", a cold voice came from the stairway and they turned to see Sesshô-Maru standing at the top of the stairs.
~Down down down down ~
~Down down down down ~
"None of your business", Inu-Yasha sneered and walked over to him, Kagome staying back.
"See you found a friend", he continued and Kagome blushed and looked away.
"Just shut up, yarou", Inu-Yasha said coldly and Sesshô-Maru stared at him.
"Say goodbye, we’re leaving", he turned and went downstairs, leaving Inu-Yasha and Kagome there.
~It gets me so~
"You’re...leaving?", Kagome asked in a tiny voice and Inu-Yasha walked back over to her and kissed her on the cheek again.
"I promise you, we’ll see each other again...", he muttered and wrapped his arms around her, her burring her face in his chest.
"You’re sure?"
"Of course"
~Down down down down ~
~Down down down down ~
Inu-Yasha sat in the car again, looking out the window, looking up at the balcony that lead to Kagome’s room. She stood there, leaning over the railing, looking solemn.
"You’re taking a shower when we get back...", Sesshô-Maru told him and Inu-Yasha ‘Keh’-ed.
"Kuso no tabeyou"
~Down down down down ~
Inu-Yasha walked down the street, stepping in the rain puddles along the way. People were running around him, trying to escape the rain. He wasn’t. He still remembered all of those years ago... He stomped in a puddle, a girl squealing.
"Kuso! Watch where you’re going!", the girl cried and Inu-Yasha stopped.
"K-Kagome?"
"I-Inu-Yasha?"
