Chapter 16-Den of Wolves

A/N-Sorry I haven't updated. Been in Puerto Rico 4 the Winter Break. Nice Playas (^-^ Translation-Beach)! The title is also used in the Inuyasha DVDs referring 2 the episodes as 2 when Koga first comes in2 the story line. Cool Chappie cuz it intro's Ayame and all of the other wolves. Making Kayoko feel at home, and yet they're a little…well read and u'll find out

Kagome heard Inuyasha scream something and ran over to see what had happened. Inuyasha was turned the other way on the ground, with no sight of Kayoko or Koga. The rest of the Inu Gang rushed over to see an awe stricken Inuyasha and confused Kagome.

Shippo-What happened Inuyasha?

Inuyasha with mouth a gape remained silent.

Miroku-I think Koga just kidnapped Kayoko.

Inuyasha-Yeah. We gotta get her back.

Kagome wanted to make up an excuse not to go but couldn't think. She thought that she might as well and go along to see if her suspicions about Inuyasha's feeling for Kayoko were true. Miroku, Sango and Shippo got on Kilala's back, while Inuyasha almost took off without Kagome on his back.

Koga threw Kayoko from off his shoulder and onto the grass right next to the waterfall entrance to his tribe's den. Kayoko landed with a thud and an ouch. She knew that she could've escaped from Koga, but inside, she really wanted to see more wolf demons, it had been a long time since she'd seen another one, besides Koga.

The two walked in through the entrance and Kayoko saw the faces of Koga's tribe and was astonished to find no females other than herself. All the demons glared at her, not knowing what she was since she was in mortal form, another mate, another jewel seeker, or merely…dinner. She gave them all death glares back and they stopped staring and went back to whatever they were doing. Kayoko and Koga finally reached the end of the cave where a bed of straw was; it had Kagome's scent on it.

Kayoko-So I take it that you kidnapped Kagome one before and brought her here.

Koga was astonished but wondered how she knew.

Koga-Been reading my mind lately?

Kayoko-No you moron, this straw smells entirely of Kagome.

The other demons wondered how a mere mortal possessed a nose stronger than theirs for they could no longer smell Kagome's scent on the bed.

Ginta-Hey Koga, how does she know Kagome?

Koga turned around to his fellow comrade.

Koga-She was traveling with Inuyasha and them.

All of the other demons nodded in agreement that if she was traveling with Inuyasha, then she definitely was not dinner. Kayoko sat on the straw with an angered thud, and tapped her fingers against the stone incessantly.

Kayoko-So what am I supposed to do all day if you're here.

Koga thought for a moment and then perked his head up.

Koga-AYAME!

Kayoko-What are you doing?

A girl walked into the entrance of the cave and down it, she was wearing the fur of a White Wolf, she was a white wolf.

Koga-Ayame, meet Kayoko (gesturing a hand to the two).

Kayoko-I thought that you tribe didn't consist of any female demons?

Koga-Not usually, but Ayame's a good friend. She'll make you feel at home.

Ayame a little hurt at being called just a friend to Koga.

Kayoko-So you're a White Wolf Demon. Pitiful that you have to live with all these common Black and Brown Wolf males! (She said the last part louder than the rest)

Ayame-I chose to live here.

Kayoko turned back to Ayame astounded that she made such a choice.

Kayoko-Why would you want to live here, I mean no offense to you… but I wouldn't?

Ayame-I wanted to be with Koga.

Kayoko-O…kay? And I mean that with the utmost respect… for you.

She said that with pure confidence and pride directed towards Koga who obviously heard her from now across the cave.

Ayame-So why are you here then?

Kayoko-I don't know really… why don't you ask Koga?

Koga-I told you why you're here, now shut up.

Kayoko-But why am I here while you're here. And anyway, I could just runaway this very instant if I wanted to.

Koga-So you want to stay?

Kayoko surprised at how he had just twisted her words around just to make her angry.

Kayoko-You know what I mean.

And with that she whisked right out of the cave, even too fast for Koga, before he even noticed that she had stopped talking.

A/N-Koga, Koga, Koga, Koga, Koga, Koga, Koga, Koga, KOGA!!! This waz 4 all ya'll Koga luvers! Yes, I know, I know it waz GR8! (Clapping of hands) Oh, gr8 now I'm delirious and hallucinating, dang u X-Treme Air Heads, soooo sugary and yet…soooo sugary. I'm hopeless. L8R!
