Prologue:
"I told you not to bug me about it Yash! I'm going home."
"Come on Kag, you know I was kidding." Inuyasha ran up behind Kagome and put his arms protectively around her, prohibiting her from moving any further.
"I'll come back in a few days." she leaned back into his touch.
"I know, but I'll miss you." Inuyasha nuzzled his head against her neck affectionately.
"I'll miss you too. But I have to take this geography test. Besides the jewel is complete and there is nothing to do." Kagome replied
"I can think of a few things we could do." he smirked behind her back, though she couldn't see.
"Hentai." she said as she unconsciously raised her hand and found her way to his left ear, petting it gently. "I'll be back before you know it." Kagome turned to face her mate and he kissed her softly.
"I guess I'll see you in a few days"
"Bye baka. I love you." she kissed him again, this time not wanting to leave the warmth of his lips. Finally the need to breathe got the better of them both.
"I love you too." he paused before adding, "wench." the pair smiled and Kagome kissed him a final time before she hopped into the well. Inuyasha sighed heavily as he watched his goddess fall gracefully from view. He noticed the Shikon no Tama laying on the ground next to the well. He picked it up and looked at it for a moment. "I'll have to keep this till she comes back. Hopefully she realizes its gone soon." He turned and headed back to the village, slightly troubled.

"Why are you so glum?" Sango asked as Inuyasha entered the hut.
"Kag's gone back to her time. Something or other test." Miroku answered.
"Oh." Sango said, "Well, it's okay, she'll be back in a couple of days." she said, looking on the bright side, "Besides we defeated Naraku, the jewel is complete, Miroku's hand is fixed, the death's of Shippo's family, as well as mine, are avenged, and you and Kagome are mated, what is there to be sad about?"
"Can't a guy miss his mate!?" Inuyasha snapped back. Sango and Miroku hid smiles that played on their lips as Inuyasha left the hut.
*There is something wrong here. How did she get through the well if she didn't have the jewel? Should I go after her?*

"Ow. Kami, what happened?" Kagome awoke beside the well house. The bright sun casting dazzling rays of sunshine throughout the yard.
Kagome got up off the ground and walked into her house. Her head ached terribly and she had an ominous feeling.
"Oh hello Kagome." her mother said brightly.
"Hey mom."
"Where is Inuyasha?"
"Who?" Kagome asked, having never heard a name like that.
"That boy never leaves you. Did you get into a fight? You should go make up before something bad happens with all those demons around. Oh what am I talking about? He is one. I do hope you make up soon though, that boy can be stubborn and you know he doesn't mean a thing he says."
"What are you talking about? I have a headache and I was going to take a nap, maybe you should too." Kagome walked briskly through the house saying 'hi' to her brother and grandfather.
Inside Kagome's room she noticed the calendar said 'April 2nd 2004'. "Where did the time go? It seems like just this morning I was only fifteen. In fact, I can't remember much about these passed three years. I've been sick a lot." Kagome's headache went from bad to worse as she dwelled on the date. She shook the thought from her head and decided a hot shower was what she wanted. Before getting into the shower Kagome noticed her reflection in the medicine cabinet mirror. She saw two small bite marks near her collar bone. "What in Kami's name is that?" Another sharp pain ran through her head and throbbed in her temples as she blacked out.

This was originally going to be a one shot, but I just couldn't... I had to elaborate... otherwise it would have been a fairly LOOONG one shot, because being evil as I am I have planned out 90% of the story and am working on perfecting it before it is posted, but never fear, I will try and update quickly... Of course if you are bored there is Cabin by the Lake to read (if you haven't already) AND there is Diary a YYH fic (which I haven't worked on in like four months), ^-^ Until next time *_*
