Akyta was blinded with white rage. She saw nothing but the person she'd been looking for all her life. Then suddenly a sharp pain shot through her stomach and she collapsed onto the floor in agony. Rin ran to her, “oh no your wounds are not fully healed yet. Don't stress yourself.”
Akyta looked up and threw her weapon weakly at Sesshoumaru. Then flopped forward. The wound had reopened and once again she was losing blood. Sesshoumaru caught the weapon, surprised that she was still trying to fight. She had obviously changed from that pathetic creature she once was. He then turned to his left and took the weapon that he dodged earlier out of the tree he was leaning on. He walked up to Akyta and dropped the weapons in front of her. “I like your spirit. Want another go?”
Akyta looked up at him with hate in her eyes, “why are you mocking me? You no I can no longer fight. I'm broken.” Tears welled up in her eyes and she quickly wiped them away she was not going to give him the satisfaction of seeing her cry. He turned and walked off. Rin turned to her, “Don't worry I'll be right back.”
She ran off after him. And then minutes later returned with a two headed creature. “This is Ah and Un. Don't worry they are gentle. You can ride on their back. I certainly can't leave you like this.” The little girl then helped Akyta onto the creatures back and they set off.
Loads of things were running through Akyta's mind. Why didn't Sesshoumaru kill her? Why would he let her live after she attacked him and marked his face? Maybe he was planning something. She stared daggers at his back. When her wounds completely heal he would feel her full fury. But right now there was nothing she could do but travel with her enemy.
Sesshoumaru looked back. He noticed that they had someone new travelling with them. The cat demon was sleeping. He looked at her for a while thinking about how much she had changed. He noticed various scars on her and remembered her skilled fighting tactic; he reached up and touched the wound she inflicted. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea for her to travel with them. He'll have to get rid of her somehow, but not in front of Rin. The cat demon opened her eyes and blinked a couple of times. Then she looked straight at him. They caught each others eyes and the atmosphere went cold. Sesshoumaru saw the amount of hate in her eyes. He had created a monster. She would not rest until she killed him. Sesshoumaru faced forward. He can still feel her eyes on him. There he was being intimidated by a younger, female cat demon. Sesshoumaru shook his head in annoyance. He was being silly, she was even wounded. He would finish her instantly if she attacked. Then the thought hit him why didn't he do anything when she attacked him before?
A sound came from the sky. The group looked up and saw a hoard of lower demons. They were attracted to the smell of blood coming from Akyta. They raced head on towards her. She screamed, helpless in her weakened state. There was a flash of green and the demons were gone. Akyta looked about confused. She wasn't quite sure what happened. Jaken poked her with the staff he was carrying, “You should thank Sesshoumaru-sama from saving your life. You ungrateful girl.”
There was silence. Akyta looked shocked all over. She looked at Sesshoumaru, “Why did you save me…?”
