Author’s Note: OMG, it’s been how long since I have updated this fic?! Well I have been so caught up in reading fics that I have completely forgotten to update and I have lost some interest to continue this story. I’ll try to update more, I promise! ^-^

Previously in chapter 8...

“ Hold on Kagome!” Kouga exclaimed.

Kagome turned around, “ As much as I want to stay and chat, I can’t.”

“ Nonsense! Kagome stay here and chat with Kouga. After all , you are getting married in five weeks.” Kenta explained and left the room. Kouga waited and he grabbed both of Kagome’s wrists in a painful grip.

“ WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT!?” Kagome hissed. “I don’t know who you think you are, but you are going to follow every wish and whim after we get married.”

“I am not clueless like you previous wives. I will not let myself get raped and killed by the likes of you. I will destroy you.” Kagome threatened with a look of hate and disgust.

“You will or you will meet the exact same death like the rest of them. Do you understand bitch?” Kouga hissed.

Kagome managed to escape his painful grip, knees him, punched him in the face and gut hard enough to send him flying to the nearby wall.

“I WILL NOT BE UNDERESTIMATED BY YOU! I’M NOT EASY TO GIVE IN TO YOU!” she angrily declared. Kagome ran out of the room fast.

Kouga slowly got up and wiped the blood oozing from the corner of his mouth. “You will be my most enjoyable wife yet Kagome…. Too bad your going to die “accidentally” Kouga chuckled manically.

Scene skip…

“What are you doing?” Kagome saw Anaya standing with a basket in her hands.

“Shh…. I’m spying on Kikyou.” Kagome whispered. Anaya placed her basket on the grass and tiptoed next to Kagome.

“Who she talking to?” Anaya whispered. Kagome peered above the bush and gasped, “Kikyou and Sesshomaru?”

“What?” Anaya looked ahead.

Kikyou and Sesshomaru were chatting. “Kikyou, there is a reason for why I am here.” Sesshomaru explained.

“Yes, what is it?” She asked.

Sesshomaru sighed, “Do you believe in love at first sight?”

Kikyou blushed, “I-uh- kinda…”

“I never did, until I met you.”

“What are you trying to say?”

“I- damn it, I love you Kikyou!” Sesshomaru exclaimed. Kikyou widened her eyes. Among the bushes, the news was jaw- dropping to Kagome and Anaya.

“You- you love me?” Kikyou stammered. “I love you too! Tell him! Tell him!” her inner begin cheered. She started to shed tears of happiness, “I love you too!” Kikyou cheered. Back at the bushes, Anaya was happy and Kagome made gagging noises. “Well Kikyou was always overdramatic….” she thought.

Out of the blue, Sesshomaru gently kissed on the lips. Stunned at first, Kikyou kissed him back and wrapped her arms around him and he did the same.

“ Aww…. How cute!” Kagome’s voice exclaimed. Surprised, Kikyou and Sesshomaru fell over and slashed into the water. Anaya popped out of the bush. “Yeah, a nice scene ruined…. High five Kagome!” Anaya exclaimed.

Kikyou sat up, drenched in water, and yelled, “Kagome! What the hell was that for?!”

“Sorry I needed to talk to you, but I see that your lips were to busy!” Kagome teased. Kikyou blushed. “You don’t need to explain, I’ll just tell you later. Have fun lovebirds.” Kagome giggled and she and Anaya walked away. Sesshomaru and Kikyou simply shrugged and continued kissing passionately in the setting sun.

Chapter 9:
Realizations and Kagome’s Morning Surprise Part 1

Kagome was done with her bath and was now walking around her room in a nightgown brushing her hair. She stopped in front of her opened window and admired the full moon. She then sat on the edge of her bed thinking. ‘I am happy that Sesshomaru and Kikyou like each other but, I am not giving Kouga a chance that’s for sure….. ( Sigh ) Now I’m jealous that Kikyou has someone that actually cares for her, am I that desperate.’ She groaned, blew out the candles and went to sleep.

The next morning, Kagome woke up to the sound of swallows and blue jays. Kagome fluttered her eyes open and looked outside her window. She heard dogs barking, the servant’s children laughing, farm animals making noise. Wait a minute… children laughing, dogs and other animals are up….. She slept in! “ Crap!” Kagome exclaimed as she stumbled out from her bed and rushed to get out of her nightwear. She ran down the hall to Kikyou’s room.

“ Kikyou wake up! We slept in!” Kagome yelled. No answer. “ Oh my God, you will have other chances to sleep in but not right now!” Still no answer. “ Argh, I’m coming in and I’m going to drag you out.” Kagome opened the shoji door and proceeded to the room that led to Kikyou’s bedroom. She stormed in and gasped. There on her bed, entangled in sheets, was Sesshomaru and Kikyou, their clothes lying all over the place. ‘ Oh… bad timing… now walk away…’ Kagome walked out of the room and into the hall.

Kagome made it to the kitchen where she was currently drinking some tea. “ Hey Kagome,” Anaya said. Kagome turned around, “ Hi Anaya.”

“ It’s laundry day so I already picked up yours and I need to go get Kikyou’s laundry.”

Kagome panicked mentally and ran to the doorway and blocked Anaya. “ Kagome please move I have to hurry before there’s a big crowd in the market.”

“ No really, you don’t want to go to Kikyou’s room.”

“ And why’s that?”

“ She had a rough night last night and really wants to be alone, I’ll get it for her.” ‘ Yeah, she had a really rough night…’ Kagome thought.

Anaya simply sighed, “ Fine, just hurry up.”

“ Yeah whatever!” Kagome yelled as she ran out to Kikyou’s room.

She made it to Kikyou’s room in less than a minute and rushed in their. Expecting the couple still in bed, Kagome found instead Kikyou by herself already dressed sitting on the windowsill.

“ Well you and Sesshomaru clean up fast.” Kagome said as she picked up the huge basket of laundry.

“ What’s that supposed to mean?” Kikyou asked.

“ Don’t play dumb, I say you and Sesshomaru in bed like an hour ago. I wondered what those noises were last night.”

Kikyou turned red for embarrassment , “ Don’t tell nobody especially father. You know it’s against kingdom laws to have relationships with the western people.”

“ Who came up with that law anyways? I mean, it’s not like there going to hurt us or anything.”

“ What’s weirder is that the kingdom has completely cut off anything that has to do with the western lands for the last nineteen years. It wasn’t like that from what I heard. I wonder why?” Kikyou thought.
“ Yeah well anyways, don’t worry, I won’t tell.” Kagome promised.

Kikyou smiled, “ Thanks.”

“ Yeah I need to go, Anaya is waiting.” Kagome rushed off to Anaya, gave her the basket, went to the stables, got on Kazu, and rode off to the western lands.

She made it past the border unseen, on account of the gates being so congested with traders and travelers. She sped past on the trail and thought, “ I might as well visit Taisho before going to visit Sango and Miroku.’ She made a sharp detour and sped to the village. Kagome made it to the village along the river.

She rode through the somewhat busy dirt paths between huts and up the shrine steps where Kaede and Taisho lived. When she got there, Kaede was currently sweeping the dusty, stone grounds of the shrine.

“ Kaede!” Kagome yelled running up the last steps of the shrine. Kaede looked up from her work and smiled, “ Kagome, how have you been doing?”

Kagome ran up to her and hugged her. “ I’ve been doing good thank you.” Kagome replied after the embrace. “ Hey by any chance, have you seen Taisho?” she asked.

“ He’s at the river, but I’ll leave him alone if I were you.”

“ Why?”

“ Today is the day the spell wore off permanently.” Kaede replied.

“ Spell?” Kagome pondered.

“ Yes, you see, when Taisho was little, I gave him a special rosary that had a spell on it. While he’s wearing the rosary, he has the appearance of a mortal, but when it’s off, he reverts back to a half- demon. The spell was to permanently wear off on the eve of his eighteenth birthday which is today.”

“ Oh, I just want to say hi to him.”

“ Go ahead.” Kaede said.

“ See ya!” With that, Kagome ran off to the river to see Taisho in his half- demon state.

‘ I wonder how he’ll look like…’
