Chapter Thirty-one
At The House of the Moon, Shiaka and her new mate were having lunch with her family. Thor had not yet returned and as ususal Mika was worried. Being a thunder youkai, Shiaka was quite in tune with the weather, as was Malique. She sensed a storm approaching.
It hadn't rained in quite a while and was very much welcome, Shiaka just hoped that Thor would return home before it reached them.
“A storm is coming.” Malique warned.
“Oh, why hasn't Thor returned?” Mika asked.
“I am sure he will find shelter if he is caught in the storm.” Sesshomaru assured her.
“He'll be home in time. I'm sure of it.” Shiaka said.

Romy laid on her bed being fed strawberries by a young man she found in the village. Next to her was the box of letters, ready to be handed over to her son. She was having so much fun already and Yosuke hadn't even read them yet. Soon her son would know the truth about his cheating wife and just like that, she would be gone; pregnant or not.
She took up her cup of sake and drained it. Romy signalled to Setsu, the young man from the village, to refill her cup. She couldn't wait until her son returned home. The pleasure she would get from ruining her soon-to-be-ex-daughter-in-law's life.
There was a knock at the door and she sent Setsu to answer it. Ayumi walked up to her bed and bowed.
“Raine-sama and Yosuke-senpai are arriving.” She said.
“Perfect.” Romy said with an evil smirk on her face.

Thor could smell rain and knew that a storm was near. He would have to find shelter, but first he wanted to know what it was Raine had to take care of.

Jiro touched down in front of Yosuke's home and standing right in front of them was Romy with her hands behind her back.
Yosuke climbed off of Jiro and helped Raine down. Ayumi and Setsu came out of the house and went to collect the couple's luggage.
“Oh Yosuke I have terrible news.” Romy said running up to her son, hands stil behind her back.
“What's wrong okaasan?” He asked worried.
“Yosuke can you talk to your mother later I must speak with you.” Raine said grabbing his arm and trying to pull him inside.
“No, no, no, no, no.” Romy said quickly. “This can not wait.”
Yosuke sighed.
“This sounds important Raine, can you wait?” He asked.
Raine nodded.
“What is it?” Yosuke asked.
Raine eyes grew three times their normal size when she what Romy was handing Yosuke; it was the box she kept her letters from Thor in. She had to think quick. Yosuke began to open it and she knocked it out of his hands.
“What was that for?” Yosuke asked Raine as he got down on the ground to pick up the papers that fell out of the box.
Upon closer inspection, Yosuke that they were letters. He rose to his feet and read on of them.
Raine stood there biting her lip and twirling her hair around her finger. Her secret couldn't have been revealed in a worse way and by a more evil person.
“Raine is...is all of this...” Yosuke stammered.
Raine held down her head.
“Hai Yosuke.” She said.
Yosuke dropped the papers and turned to her.
“Is this what you meant by having something at home to take care of?” He asked.
Raine nodded.
Yosuke slapped his forehead. How could he have been so stupid? How could he have not seen she wasn't happy? He started pacing, trying to calm down.
“Yosuke-”
“Why Raine? Why?” He asked heart broken and angry.
“I...” She didn't know how to say it; how to word it to make it all the less painful for him, but there was no easy way out; not this time.
“I've never been in love with you.” She said.
“THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU MARRY ME IF YOU DIDN'T LOVE ME?” Yosuke shouted, still pacing.
Raine jumped when Yosuke shouted. She never heard him raise his voice; she never thought she would see someone like him, gentle, caring, kind, so very angry. It scared her.
Romy shook her head.
“I knew it, I just knew it.” She said.
“Shut up Romy!” Yosuke snapped at his mother.
He stopped and grabbed Raine by her shoulders.
“Why the hell did you do it Raine? Why?” He asked as he shook her.

Thor had seen enough. Raine's husband had crossed the line when he grabbed her and shook her. He jumoed out of the tree.
“Enough.” He said sternly.
Yosuke and Romy turned to face Thor and upon seeing him bowed.
Thor ignored them and went over to Raine.
“Are you okay?” He asked her.
Raine nodded.
Thor psuhed back the bangs on her forehead and kissed the naked flesh. He cupped her cheek, pulling her head to the side so he could nuzzle her neck. With his other hand he rubbed her belly.
“Him? You cheated on me with him?” Yosuke asked.
Raine nodded, biting her finger nails.
Thor wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him
“I don't believe this,” Yosuke shook his heaed “So the baby isn't mine? Right?” He asked.
“No.” Raine said shaking her head.
“How could you do this to me? You know how much I love you, how much I wanted this baby. To have a life and family with you. How could you just take that all away from me in one fell swoop?” Yosuke asked.
“Gomenasai. Please forgive me.” Raine said sincerely.
Yosuke covered his face with his hands.
“Pack you things I want you gone.” Yosuke said.
“But Yosuke, where will I go?” Raine asked shocked by his sudden decision.
“I don't give a damn I just want you gone. I don't have the heart to look at you anymore.” Yosuke said.
“Please Yosuke, don't -” Raine paused. “Oh dear Kami, my baby; it's coming.”
