[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Hey guys. Another chapter coming. I'm gonna add some things in here and I need a disclaimer so here goes.
Disclaimer: I don't own my favorite line from the movie Ultra Violet. I don't own this one weapon from the movie Fallen.
On with the story.
The Vampire Angel
Chapter 12: the misjudged death and the transformation
The fumes in the air were getting to Inuyasha. He had to fight to keep his eyes open. He held his arm over his nose.
“What the hell is this stuff?” he asked in a strained voice.
“It's Miasma. It makes you take on the appearance of a dead person and is painful all the way there.” Naraku's hidden voice said.
“And what's the point of me breathing this in?” Inuyasha questioned to stay awake.
“When you pass out, you blood flow and heartbeat will slow down so that it's imperceptible—even to us vampires—, your skin will be freezing cold, you won't be able to wake up of your own will. And you will be aware of everything around you but won't be able to do anything about it.”
“So why did you tell me all that?” Inuyasha didn't get what would benefit for Naraku holding him prisoner here.
“Just wanted you to know what to expect…when Kagome gets here.” Kagome. Inuyasha thought as his eyes widened.
“What are you gonna do to Kagome?” Inuyasha demanded.
“Hmm. Maybe I'll rough her up a little. Then I'll kill her.” This infuriated Inuyasha.
“Show yourself, coward, so I can kill you!” Inuyasha shouted. Naraku's menacing chuckling started up again.
“As if you could, half-demon.”

I feel like I've been running blindly for the last hour. I don't even have Inuyasha's scent. I haven't stopped running since I left Sango and Shippo. I slow down so I can clear my head.
I come up to a cliff that oversees the city. The cliff is at the edge of the city. I sit down on a rock by the edge and hold my head in my hands. I then look up at the sky. It's like the stars are twinkling down on me telling me I've already lost.
My legs are hanging over the edge as I have my elbows on my knees with my head down. I freaking out. I don't know what to do. I can't just keep running around not knowing where to look. I already feel defeated.
Suddenly I feel a hand on my back. By instinct, I whip around and whack their arm away. The figure is rubbing their shoulder.
“Damn Kagome, you got one hell of an arm” the figure said.
“Sango, are you guys following me?” I calmly ask.
“Yes, we are. You're not doing this alone.” She says and crosses her arms over her chest.
“I'm not even doing anything. I can't even find his scent. I have no way I can find him. It's like he's just gone.” I say almost hysterically.
“You just can't focus. You're worrying too much. Just breathe and try to concentrate.” Then I yell at her.
“What do you think I'm trying to do—“
“Stop and focus.” She coolly says. I don't know if I can but I try. I breathe like she said and close my eyes to focus. I stay that way for 30 seconds. My eyes open.
“I got him.”

They had to run for another half hour until they got to the warehouse. It was guarded by a mob of demons. Naraku's workings with demons. Interesting. Thought Kagome.
“Let's do this!” Shippo exclaimed ready to fight. He went right in and started gutting demons. Sango and Kagome came around and got in the fight.
They had been fighting for 10 minutes. Sango had just slain a demon when she turned to Kagome, “Kagome go on ahead. We'll take care of the rest.”
“You sure?”
“Would I suggest it if I wasn't sure? Just go!” Kagome nodded and ran inside the warehouse where she went to search for Inuyasha.
“Inuyasha!” she called and went deeper.

Off in the middle of the warehouse Inuyasha was on his last legs. His body had already given out on him and he was lying back down with his head to the side. He looked at the warehouse through half-lidded eyes. He was about to pass out any second now.
“Inuyasha!” he heard Kagome's voice off in the distance. His eyes widened slightly when he heard her voice.
“Kagome” he managed out in a whisper before he slipped into unconsciousness. The Miasma surrounding him disappeared.

I'd been walking around this place for the last 15 minutes. I had limited eyesight, with only the moonlight to help me. I can't see as well in the dark because of my angel side. This was getting ridiculous.
I know I'm getting closer. I feel it. It just annoys me I haven't found him yet.
I slide open a stuck door to reveal Inuyasha lying on the floor. No. He can't be.
“Inuyasha!” I cry out as I run over to his body. I kneel down and touch his face. It's as cold as ice. I take his arm to check for a pulse. I don't feel anything. I take his hand and start rubbing for friction.
“Come on. You're not dead. I did not come all this way to find you dead.” I firmly say. There's no response from him.
“Wake up, Goddammit! You're fine, wake up!” I say as I'm clutching his hand holding it to my forehead. My eyes are scrunched closed. I feel white, hot tears come out.
“Look what you did, making me cry! I hate crying!” I roughly wipe my arm over my eyes.
“I hate you! How could you let this happen! Why couldn't you just listen to me!” More tears slide down my face. I bury my face in his chest soaking his shirt with my tears. They just won't stop.
“I love you. I didn't get to tell you. I love you.” I choke out in a sob. I lay there on his chest for a while. This is the most I've ever cried in my life. I must really love him.
I sit up and rearrange myself so his head is resting on my lap. I just stay there stroking his hair for 5 minutes. Every once in a while a tear slips out but it's not so much.
Sango and Shippo had come in, but I paid them no attention. I only cared for Inuyasha at that moment.
“Aw. Did I ruin a touching moment?” came the vile voice of Naraku. My head snaps up to the source of his voice. Naraku's on a ledge close to the ceiling of the warehouse 15 feet away from us.
“Naraku,” I retort in a deathly low tone of voice.
“Sorry I had to kill him, but I had no other way of getting you here.”
“You bastard.” I say in the same tone. He jumps down from the ledge. I stand up.
“So you're going to fight me then?”
“You damn right I am!” I yell.
“Kagome!” I see Sango lunge but Shippo holds her back.
“She can do this.” He nods at me. I smile at them. I turn back to Naraku. I ready my weapons.
“I'm just as fast as you, strong as you. I'm as powerful as you. Do you really think you can defeat me?” he asks evenly, his blood red eyes glittering.
“You may be as fast as me, as powerful as me,” I say calmly with my head down, “ but are you as pissed off as I am!” I shout as I bring my head up, my eyes bright blue.
“Temper, temper Kagome. That's what will get you killed,” I am furious with him. I feel something bubbling up inside me. Something I've never experienced before.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!” I scream as I feel it surfacing.
My wings erupt from my back without my consent. They hurt like hell when they do that. But I already feel like hell so it didn't make much difference anyway.
I feel like every part of my body is on fire. Wait, it is on fire! A burning fire of bright cobalt surrounds my body. My skin is glowing blue. Sky blue highlights appear in my hair.
Then the pain stops. My eyes open to reveal a flickering of aqua blue and silver. Blue flames still lick my wings but do no damage. My skin still glows but its just a tinge. Twin blades of flames appear in my hands, Angelfire. Where were these blades when I needed them all those years?
I've never had this happen before, why now? Although I can't remember being this angry before so that might be it. Then I smirk, I feel even more ready to fight. This time, I'll make sure Naraku goes to hell.

Wow. That was so hard to write. I got so mad at myself. I wrote the whole thing and I was going to post it and I exited out. Then I realized I didn't save it and I had to write the whole thing over again. It was hard enough to write the first time. Whatever, I'm better now. If any of you know LunaStar I'm gonna speak for her. She hasn't been able to post a chapter cause her Internet's not working, but she's written two chapters I think while she's been gone. Hopefully her Internet will eventually work for all of you craving her work. There LunaStar, I helped you. You should appreciate that while you can. Please review on the both of us. Until next time.
