`Half-Life and McDonald's Food'

Kagura was stretched out on Inuyasha's bed going through some old photos they had taken. Currently she was studying the one from when her and Inuyasha went to the beach last year. In the picture, she was burying Yasha in the sand. All that was sticking out was his silver hair. It had been great but she had gotten burned so badly that day making the memory a little sour.

She looked over to Inuyasha who was focusing very intently on Half-Life 2. She had already beaten the game twice and he was barley half way through. He was cute when he was focusing. It took a large amount of effort not to laugh at him.

“You want a drink?”

“Yea, sure.” He said still focused on the game.

Kagura sighed walking into his kitchen. His mom was sitting at the counter looking at a magazine. “Hi, Mom.” Kagura said opening the fridge and grabbing a couple Dr. Peppers.

“Hi, sweetie.” She answered cheerfully, “You guys got your homework done?”

Kagura rolled her eyes, “We got about halfway done and Yasha swore he could hear his X-box calling him. I lost him soon after that.”

Aiko smiled, “That's my son.” The comment would have meant nothing to those who didn't know better. Just the word son made that woman so happy. Aiko wasn't able to have children and after a few years of trying she took on foster kids. Soon after she adopted Inuyasha.

Kagura smiled and kissed her on the cheek, “I'm going to go see if I can get him off of the game.”

“Ok, Hon, I'll make you guys some sandwiches a little later.”

Kagura did a little wave as she balanced the cans in one hand, making her way back to his room. She sat down on the bed again, setting his drink down next to him. “Are you almost done?”

“Yea sure.”

“Your mom's going to bring us sandwiches later.”

“Yea sure.”

“Will you get off? I need to talk to you.”

“Yea sure.”

She waited but he made no move to stop the game. “Dammit, Yasha, get off.”

This time at least he paused the game. Currently that was the best she was going to get. “Yasha . . . um . . . do you ever regret that night?”

“What night?” He asked gruffly, still facing his TV.

“That night you and Kikyo broke up.” She said quietly. She didn't look him in the face, she couldn't. For some reason, she didn't want to see his expression.

She heard a click of the game station being turned off and the TV went back to normal cable and then rustling of the blankets. She felt a body sit next to her, disturbing the bed.

“Kagura, why would you ask me that?” He asked, concern showing in his voice.

“I don't know. Miroku said something to me yesterday and I started thinking about it. Do you think I look like Kikyo?”

Inuyasha didn't answer her, “Why does that matter?”

That hurt, it hurt a lot. “Yasha, did you use me?”

She heard a bang and looked to see Inuyasha slam his fist on his table. “No, Kagura. Never. She looked like you. You don't look like her.”

“But Miroku said that we were similar in more than just looks.”

Inuyasha shook his head, “Kag, you have so much more than she had. Yea, you had some similarities. You both have a sad story but the main difference is you have passion. Kikyo never did, you are so passionate about everything. Kikyo could only dream of being like you.”

“Does that mean that you're attracted to me? Do you want me, Yasha?”

He closed his eyes for a second as if considering, “Kag, I don't know if I want that. I love you more than anything. Would it be safe to try to change that?”

She shook her head, “I don't think so but then I'm not really sure of what I want.”

He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly, “ I'm not either, Kagura. I'm not either.” She looked up at him and kissed him. She hadn't wanted to but then again she did. She almost pulled away when Inuyasha deepened the kiss, pushing her back. She felt his hand slid up her stomach, his tongue searching her mouth.

She knew what they were doing was not the way to solve any doubts either of them were feeling but at this moment it felt right. He kissed down her neck, nibbling gently, bringing his hand on her breast, squeezing, bringing a soft moan from her.

He brought his tongue down her chest, pulling the buttons of her shirt open as he traveled. He stopped to look down at her, “Do you want to do this, Kagura?” He nuzzled her neck. “I'd be all right with it if you said no. It's your choice.”

She faced an inner struggle. She wanted to make love to Inuyasha, she wanted to very badly. But she doubted if this was the right thing to do. She looked at Inuyasha, his face trying not to show the emotion he felt.

“I think that I want to, Yasha, but only because it's you. Let's take another chance. It's been a while since we did something daring.”

He pulled away from her, nodding and kissing her mouth once. He jumped up to open his door, “Hey, mom, don't worry about making dinner, me and Kag are gonna go out to dinner later.”

“All right, honey.” He closed the door and locked it walking back to Kagura who was still stretched out on the bed.

He stared intently at her as he lowered his body onto hers. “I guess I've never been able to say no to you.” She said softly, smiling, bringing laughter from Inuyasha. It rumbled in his chest and she could feel it against her skin. She smiled, pulling his face to hers and demanding a kiss of him.

He deepened it once again, making Kagura gasp for air. `Such passion he has when it suits him. Not that I'm complaining.” She thought as he kissed down her neck and collarbone, pulling her shirt off of her shoulders.

Kagura leaned up to unhook her bra and dropped it next to the bed; Inuyasha took the time to pull his own shirt off. Their naked skin rubbed together as he grinded against her bringing a moan from her lips.

“Inuyasha.” She whispered, pulling down her skirt. “Make love to me.”

He smiled, “I'll get to it.” He said shedding the rest of his clothing.

Consenting to her demand, his mouth ravaged her stomach and her breasts. His hands were touching her entire body as if trying to memorize it. Her hips bucked against his as he touched her, as he brought out the desire in her.

“Inu . . . Yasha.” She moaned into his ear, tightening her grip on his shoulders.

Bringing his mouth back to cover hers, he entered her body. It hurt. Not as bad as it had the first time but her body wasn't used to it. The discomfort eased as found a rhythm. Together they rocked, panting and sweating from need. Their bodies became one in a sexual ecstasy, bringing Kagura to her edge. She tried to hold on longer but she fell, muffling her cries with Inuyasha's mouth. He reached soon after her, moaning her name into the crook of her neck.

He collapsed slowly and rolled over next to her, kissing her ear. “Anything that ever happens between me and you, I will never regret.” He said tracing the curves of her stomach. He lowered his head on her chest, closing his eyes as she played with his long hair. The silver hair contrasted against her blood red nails brought out both colors brightly.

“Yasha, you can't go to sleep.” She whispered.

He groaned, “Why the hell not?” He said speaking into her abdomen.

She laughed, “Because you told your mom, we were going out to dinner.”

“Dammit, I forgot.” He grumbled getting out of bed. He stretched, grabbing his boxers and slipping them on. She watched him. He moved so gracefully, every muscle flexing as he moved around. He looked at Kagura still laying down, “You gonna get dressed or just sit there naked all day. Though, personally I wouldn't mind coming home to that every night.”

She stuck her tongue out at him and got up grabbing her panties and skirt to slip them on. “So where are we getting food then?”

His back was to her when he shrugged. She could see the indents on his shoulders from her nails, `Oops, that looks painful' “I don't know. I'm not all that hungry but I really didn't want my mom to walk in on us carrying ramen or something. She might have dropped it and stained my carpet.” He said pulling his black shirt on.

Kagura laughed, “Shut up.”

The rest of the night went without incidence. They went out to McDonalds and got kicked out for starting a food fight in the play land. On top of that apparently, 18 is too old to play in the ball pit. Kagura giggled thinking about how the old woman reacted when Inuyasha came crashing out of the slide onto the floor. With, of course, a waterfall of plastic balls following close behind.

Miroku stared at her, one eyebrow lifted. “Something funny?”

Kagura shook her head. “It'd take too long to explain.” They were currently on their way back to the theater building for callbacks, they both made them.

“So did you and Inuyasha talk?”

Kagura was sipping her coke and choked, “Yea, we got things worked out.”

Miroku grinned, “Did he actually talk to you or did he avoid the conversation like he usually does?”

“He only does that with everybody but me. He's usually straight up with me.”

“So everything's ok with you two?”

“Yea, I think so.”

Miroku sighed, “He acts like a tough guy, I act sensitive. He gets action and I have to trick you into a kiss. My life is but a tragic story.”

“Shut up, Miroku, don't even start that `no one's loves me crap'. You know Sango's got a thing for you.”

“Yea, I noticed. I think I might ask her out, I've always liked her she just tends to have some violent tendencies toward me a lot.” He said while absent-mindedly rubbing his cheek.

Kagura laughed, “Well, you usually deserve it. Ask her out, I think you'll guys will have a good time.” She paused, “Wait a minute. Who said anything about Yasha getting action?”

“Oh, naïve Kagura, I can just tell these things. He had such a look of enlightenment today that it was obvious to any one who thought to look.”

Kagura gripped the steering wheel turning her knuckles white. “I'm not going to hit him. I'm not going to hit him. I am not going to hit him.' She kept chanting in her head.

“So . . . was it good?”

A very loud `whack' sound resonated through the car. Kagura turned her radio up and Miroku tried very hard not to laugh.
