Lose Something?

POP!

Miroku looked at Kagura with a grimace, “Kagura, honey, could you not do that?”

She looked at him, magenta eyes shining innocently.

POP!

“What?”

“That.”

POP!

“Why?”

“Because it's annoying as all hell.”

POP!

He growled slamming his script down. “Kagura, I know you're bored but you're pissing me off.”

She stared at him for a second. “I'm not bored. I'm just waiting for Sesshoumaru to get finished with his scene.”

Miroku rubbed his temples, “Which scene is it?”

“The one where he murders like six people.”

“But that's like a whole act.”

Kagura shrugged, “I know.”

POP!

“I'm gonna go talk to Kagome.” With that Miroku stomped away with Kagura's laughter following him.

She really hadn't meant to get on his nerves but when he started getting annoyed, she couldn't help but try to piss him off. She actually was bored. She had another 20 minutes till she and Sesshoumaru could practice. Sadly she was looking forward to it.

The guy could be the most arrogant asshole but he was so mysterious but incredibly stoic. She honestly didn't understand the power he held.

“Kagura.”

`Speak of the devil.'

“Yes?” She asked, turning to face Sesshoumaru.

He bared no expression but his eyes danced. “Houjo wants to practice in the piano room again. I think he's getting stressed.”

Kagura shrugged, “Well, the play date is getting close.” Then she frowned, “Why does he have us practice in private all the time? Rarely have we done a scene on stage.”

Sesshoumaru allowed the barest amount of a smile to show, “Maybe it was meant to be.”

She looked up at him, red eyes meeting amber. “I don't believe in fate.”

He took her hand gently, bringing it to his lips, “You will when I'm done with you.” He whispered gently against her hand as he barely kissed it.

Turning, he walked away leaving Kagura somewhat surprised once again on the seat. He looked back at her, “Coming?” Without waiting for an answer he turned the corner out of her sight. She shook her head laughing as she followed after him.

~*~*~*~*~*~

“Each days a brand new life.” Kagura said softly, in character of Lucy.

Sesshoumaru's laugh rang out, a deep chuckle befitting to the evil Hyde. “Puppet, you don't really think that, do you?”

Kagura jerked her head to face him, “Why are you here?”

He smiled wickedly and seductively all at once. “You called me here.”

She shook her head, not looking at his eyes, “No, I didn't.”

He touched her hand, bringing it to his lips. “I believe you did, puppet.” Bringing his arms around her, he whispered in her ear behind her, “He doesn't love you. Why would someone love a whore?”

She choked a sob, “How can you . . . why are you doing this to me?”

Another chuckle as his hand ran down her face, neck, across her breasts and rested on her stomach. “I'm only answering your desires, Lucy. Every sin you've committed, every one you want to commit. They've manifested in me and call for you to make them real.”

She pulled out of his hands, “No, don't. I . . . I can't.”

“Puppet, why yearn for a man that only thinks of his fiancé, not a woman he met at a whore house?” He asked, taking a step toward her.

Tears started falling down her face as she sat against the wall, holding herself tight. “I can start a new life, somewhere else like Paris or another city of England. Please, don't mock me so.”

“Of course you can.” He said softly, pulling her into his lap like a child and stroking her face. He began singing almost in a whisper. As he sang he reached to pull out his prop knife. “Fuck.”

Kagura looked up to see Sesshoumaru searching his pockets. “Lose something?”

He smiled a little, “I can't find the knife.”

She stared up at him, still in his lap. Then she lost it. Sesshoumaru groaned as her giggles escalated. Still laughing, he pulled her onto to his chest as he laid on his back.

“I'm sorry.” She apologized, finally starting to get her giggles under control. “That's just funny to me.”

He grinned a little. “Don't worry. I forgive you.”

She looked down at his face, propping her head on her hands. Even laying down she could feel the muscles on his chest. “You know I don't know you very well and this is a somewhat compromising position.”

He cocked an eyebrow, “You'd know me if you'd talk to me once in a while.”

She smiled, “Touché.” She reached up and touched his hair, gently toying with it. “Ok, then, what do you do? Besides acting, I mean.”

“Let's see. I graduated high school last year and I'm currently a freshman at the community college. I'm currently between jobs so I baby-sit for my cousin, Rin, when I can to earn a little extra cash.” He frowned, “Anything else?”

“What are you going to school for?”

“I want to major in writing and minor in art.”

She wiggled a little, “Oooh, how interesting.”

“Oh? And how about you, Angel?”

She quirked an eyebrow, “Have you heard Miroku call me that?”

Sesshoumaru shrugged, “I don't think so.” He hinted at a smile, “It's a habit. I call Rin, Angel all the time.”

“She's your cousin, right?”

“Yep.” He said, somewhat gruffly.

“You know that's so cute.”

He rolled his eyes touching her face. Tracing the lines of her face, he sighed. “Kagura, what is Inuyasha to you?”

“Now do you want to know that because you are jealous or because you want me to coerce Inuyasha into taking a DNA test?” She asked half amused half suspicious.

Sesshoumaru frowned, “That's a stupid question.”

Kagura frowned back, “So I guess that means I'm stupid then.”

He appraised her coldly, “Stop.”

“Excuse me?”

He growled.

`Way too Inuyasha like for her taste.'

“If you think for one minute that I'm interested in you because I want to get to my inheritance then this needs to stop now.”

Kagura watched him as the anger receded out of his face and his cold expression coming back. “You're interested in me?” She asked meekly.

He bit his lip to focus on that instead of just throwing Kagura off of him. Shaking his head slowly, “Kagura, maybe you are a little stupid.”

She smiled, holding back on her giggles, “Ok, Inuyasha is my best friend and for now that's all you need to know.” She poked his shoulder, “And no, he ain't ever gonna agree to this DNA test. You don't piss Inuyasha off and expect him to forget it.”

“Wait. Why is that all I need to know? Is there more?” Sesshoumaru asked suspiciously.

Now Kagura studied him just as coldly as he had done to her earlier. “Maybe someday I'll tell you the whole story.”

Sesshoumaru frowned again. “Don't you trust me?”

Kagura opened her mouth to answer but then she started giggling. Sesshoumaru frowned deeper, watching her go off in another fit of giggles. Tears running down her eyes, she gasped out. “You're pouting.”

He blanked his expression but annoyance came out in his voice. “This Sesshoumaru does not pout.”

“Don't . . .” Her giggles escalated once again, “Don't try for dignity. You're way past that.”

“If you don't stop laughing at me, I'm not taking you out Friday.”

She choked, laughter coming to an abrupt stop. “What?” She asked inelegantly.

“Friday.” He said like she knew exactly what he was talking about. “We're going out to dinner. Italian or Greek?”

She crawled back off his lap, standing up and straightening her tank top. “I'm sorry but I missed the part where you asked me to go out.”

Sesshoumaru sat up quickly, “Sorry, I just assumed . . .”

“Well don't.” She gave him a little smile without any humor. “Don't forget I have more attitude than you may be able to handle.

She closed the door on Sesshoumaru's groan.

~*~*~*~*~*~

“Wow, we really are bored.” Sango said throwing another M&M into the air to catch into her mouth.

Inuyasha grunted from his spot on the floor. He had lain down to look under the couch for the remote. Not finding the remote, he gave up and made himself comfortable with his face in the floor.

“Come on, Inuyasha, we have to find something to do. Kagura and Miroku are at rehearsal almost every night and me and you just sit around gaining weight.”

He rolled over and stared up at her on the couch. “Speak for yourself. I'm perfectly content to just sit around here all day and do nothing.”

Sango jumped up, nearly tripping over the slightly unconscious Inuyasha. “I've got it!”

He looked up, “What are you yelling about, Wench?”

“I know what we can do.” She said laughing.

Inuyasha stood up, “Ok, what?”

“First we need to get supplies.”

Inuyasha followed Sango out the door as she grabbed his mom's keys, Sango giggling somewhat maniacally.

He shuddered, `What the hell is that girl thinking?'

~*~*~*~*~*~

Black pants, black shirt, and dark green face paint. Sango tied her shoelaces tight, not taking a chance that they come untied and hinder her escape.

Inuyasha looked through the pack she had filled with supplies from the three different stores they had to search to find all their provisions. “Sure you got everything, Sango? We sure as hell can't mess this up.”

She looked out of her room and met his eyes, “Inuyasha, I'm having second thoughts.”

Inuyasha groaned, “Oh no, you're not. I spent way too much money on this shit. We're going through with it.”

“But this could seriously get us injured or even killed.” She said worriedly.

He smiled a little to try to appease her fears, “Sango, Sango, you have to stop being afraid of people. I'll keep you safe, woman. No worries.”

She bit her lip, still thinking about it.

“Well, Sango, it was your idea. I mean if you want to chicken out.” He smirked, “I mean you can talk the talk but can you walk the walk?”

Sango glared at him, throwing him the face paint. “Hurry up. We're leaving in ten minutes.”

~*~*~*~*~*~

Miroku tipped his head back against the chair. Bored and stretched out over three or four chairs, he sighed, trying to think of something to do.

“I so won.”

Miroku looked to see Kagura with a triumphant little smile on her face. “Won what, Angel?” His eyes shot open, “Oh, yuck, wait, I don't want to know.” He shuddered, “Oh god, that's so gross.”

She frowned momentarily and smacked Miroku in the back of the head. “Stop it.”

He laughed rubbing his offended head, “Ok, what did you win?”

“Against Sesshoumaru. He told me I was going out with him and I totally explained to him that's not how I work.” She said smugly.

“All right, you lost me. What happened?” Miroku said shaking his head.

She sighed impatiently and explained what happened in the piano room.

“Kagura, hon, you're an idiot.”

Her smile faded, “What?”

“This guy asks you out on a date,” She opened her mouth to interrupt but Miroku continued, “Remember this is Inuyasha's half-brother and even being slightly related to that idiot should tell you how his communication skills are. Anyhow, you're into him and you tell him no?”

It was comical to watch the expressions change on Kagura's face. First the triumph faded, confusion crowded in with anger. Then she simply put her head in her hands as realization hit her.

“It's ok, Kagura.” He said, patting her on the back reassuringly.

Her head shot up, “No, no, no, no, no, no, I won.” She said emphasizing the `I won'.

Miroku bit back on his laughter. “I know you did.”

She stood up defiantly, “I won.”

“Kagura, I know you did.”

“I won!” She almost yelled. Those not acting on the stage turned to see Kagura stomping away from Miroku.

Sesshoumaru was leaning against a doorway as she stomped past. He chuckled a little when she shot him a dirty look and flipped him off.

Miroku shook his head at her exit.

`That girl's got a temper.'

People were beginning to gather their possessions because 10 `o' clock had finally rolled around. He grabbed Kagura's coat and followed her to the back stage. “Are you gonna give me a ride home or do I have to find a different one?”

Kagura turned to see Miroku leaning against the doorway, much like Sesshoumaru had been doing when she walked by. She considered making him find another ride but then she shook her head. “No, let's go.”

He wrapped his arm around her as they walked to the parking lot. “It's all right, Kagura, we all have our moments.”

She laughed, “Bite me, Miroku.”

“So what are you going to do now, Angel?”

“I don't know. I could probably wait till he actually asks me. I'm pretty sure he will because he . . .” She stopped abruptly almost making Miroku trip. “Oh, fuck.”

~*~*~*~*~*~

Sango laughed loudly, nearly choking on her shake. “Oh my god, Kagura is going to kill us.”

Inuyasha grinned broadly, “I know she is but isn't it going to be worth it when her car smells like fish for two weeks.”

“I'm just afraid of what she's going to do when she realizes that we plastic wrapped and duct taped her doors shut.”

Inuyasha laughed loudly, “I think I'm a little afraid for Miroku because she's gonna be pissed.”

“I feel kind of bad.” She said frowning.

“Sango, if you try to make it look like this was all my fault, I'll make you regret it.” Inuyasha said, eyeing her.

She grinned, “No, we'll both have to face Kagura's wrath.”

~*~*~*~*~*~

“Inuyasha, you stupid bastard.” Kagura yelled at him, after finding Inuyasha hiding out at Sango's house. “Do you know how fucking long it took to get all the duct tape off my car?”

“Yeah, but . . .”

“What possessed you to do something so stupid? Oh my god, let me guess. You made Sango come along, too.” She was pacing around the room as she ranted.

“Kagura, listen to me.”

“No, Inuyasha, shut up.” She pulled on her hair, sitting down with a loud plop. She groaned. “My car smells like fish, you dumbass.”

“That one was Sango.”

Kagura's head shot up, her eyes flashing, “What?”

“Yep, actually the whole thing was her idea. Not that I didn't think it was an awesome plan.” Inuyasha explained.

Kagura turned to Sango, her mouth agape. “It was you?”

Sango nodded, biting back on laughter.

“You bitch.” Kagura said, lacking anything better to say. “I'm so gonna get you back.”

Sango smiled, “I'm sorry, Kagura, I just thought maybe I needed to do something daring. You're the one who always tells me I don't take enough risks.”

Kagura stared at her for a second, “I hate you.” She said without much heat. “You both are so paying for that.”

“I think that's sexy.” Miroku said finally interjecting his opinion.

Sango blushed and Kagura flipped him off.

Inuyasha yawned, “Guys, it's almost midnight and I have a test first block tomorrow.”

Kagura growled, “Shut up.” Then she sighed, “Ok, we better go.”

“You know you guys can just stay here tonight.” Sango said, “I got a couple extra blankets and a fold-out couch.”

Kagura caught Inuyasha's eyes and he nodded. “Sure, why not.” She pulled out her cell and tossed it to Inuyasha, “Call my mom and tell her, will you?”

He nodded, flipping it open. “I call the couch.” He said quickly before Kagura's mom answered the phone.

Kagura snorted, “That's what he thinks.”

Sango started unfolding the couch with Miroku helping her. Kagura watched them for a second before getting up and pulling blankets out of the closet.

Miroku made a move to sit on the couch but at the same time Kagura and Inuyasha leaped onto the sofa bed blocking Miroku from a spot.

Inuyasha laid back, hands behind head, “You lose, bitch.”

Kagura curled up next him. “Night, Miroku.”

Miroku stared at her, taking the hint and leaving to make up a bed in Sango's family room.

“Oh shit, Kagura, I forgot.” Inuyasha said, sitting up suddenly.

Kagura eyed him, sleep creeping up on her. “What?”

Inuyasha grinned, “You feel like getting your own place?”

“Why? You found me a house?”

“Not quite,” His grin widening as he waved his arms excitedly, “I got an apartment in both our names. I just need you to sign the lease and we can move in.”

Kagura's jaw dropped, “How can we afford that?”

“I figured it out, wench, I'm not that stupid. I added our paychecks and figured out our expenses and, yeah, at first it'll be hard but after a month or two we'll be able to afford everything.”

Kagura stared at him, “Yasha, you are my hero.”

He relaxed again, head resting on his hands, “I know.”

Kagura punched his arm, “You're joking with me, right?”

He rubbed his arm, “Um . . . ow . . . No, I'm not. We can move in about two weeks from now.”

She smiled and curled up next to him again. “Yasha, do you get the feeling that things are going to get better?”

“Shut up, wench, I'm trying to sleep.” He grumbled, eyes tightly shut.

“I'm serious. We both have jobs now, a home, and I don't know. I just have a feeling.” She said almost bubbly.

“Sleep. Now.”

She smiled, her mood too good to get pissed at his gruffness. “Night. Love you, Yasha.”

He smiled softly as he brushed a stray hair from her face, “I love you, too, Kagura.”

Author's Note
I want apologize profusely for anyone who has been waiting for me to update. I have been a bad fan fiction writer. I've gone through some stuff this last summer and I'm just now getting things back on track. I'd like to keep up updating at least twice a week until this story is over. I'm in my senior year and it's quite crazy but I want to try to finish this before too long. Again, I apologize to anyone who was waiting for an update.

Also, I hate it when authors beg for reviews so I refuse to beg. But a few reviews would be helpful because although they are not required, they are encouraging.
