Chapter 3
“Kila? How?” She asked again, her voice was not angry, but confused. Kila gave up and sighed.
“He does love you. There is no one else he'd rather be with..” She turned around and faced Kagome. She understand, still so confused.
“Come on… and here I thought my mark might give me away.” She said as she pointed to the mark on her forehead.
Kagome's eyes widened in surprise, “Kilala?”
The woman smiled and nodded, “Bingo.”
”But how?”
“Simple, when the new world came, I had to either change with it or live in hiding. I knew a woman that transformed me from my kitten form to a human shape.” She said, hoping to clear Kagome's confused mind, “And then as Shippo got older, he made me a stone that made me look totally human.”
She pulled out the stone she was talking about from under her shirt and showed Kagome, who nodded in understandment. Kilala, then tugged it off, and her body started to alter just a bit. Her hair color stayed the same, but her brown eyes bled to that or blood red, and became the cat like slits Kagome remembered. Her ears trailed from the side of her head, slightly upwards. They became identical to Inuyasha's only her's drooped more and were more round than his. And her ears matched her hair color, blonde tipped with black. And behind her, two tails appeared.
Kagome smiled at the friend she had left behind so long ago, “I think you should go back, Kagome. Every one misses you. Trust me. He really wanted to come get you himself… but he thinks your doing just fine without him. So, he never knew exactly how to come about to do so.” Kilala said.
“But… why are you here?” Kagome asked, still somewhat confused.
Kilala laughed, “I always wanted to see the world you keep disappearing to. And now I know.” She said as she eyed the room a bit.
“But, believe me when I say that they really do miss you. Even Inuyasha.” She said as she looked at Kagome's spot back on the bed.
Kagome looked over her long seen friend, and smiled. She sat up and gave Kilala a hug.
“Then I will go back.” She whispered into Kilala's ear.
“Good, so then I will return home. And don't worry about a thing; every thing is as it should be.” She said as she stepped away from Kilala and stepped onto the window sill.
“Kilala?” Kagome said, stopping her before she darted out
“Hm” She looked back.
“Arigato.”
Kilala smiled and said, “That's what you said years ago, when you came back. At first I had no idea what you were talking about. But now I do.” She said as she sprinted out into the darkness.
