Chapter 7:New friends/old Friends

The group walked down a dirt road Inu Yasha looking ahead as Kiriu looked at the ground. Kagome watched Inu Yasha. "He's different somehow is it because of that female hanyou?" She though to herself not really paying attention to where she was walking. Inu Yasha stopped sniffing the air as Kiriu bumped into him and fell backwards. "Watch where you're going!" snarled Inu Yasha without meaning to. Kiriu winced a little and looked down "im sorry." "Stop being so mean!" yelled Kagome. Inu Yasha's eyes turned to face Kagome, urging growls spoke out of his voice, as his claws tensed. He felt like just killing her now for all she had put him through in the past. Kiriu stood up and put her hand on Inu Yasha's shoulder "calm down." He glanced to the ground slightly as he shoved her hand off his shoulder and got up. Kagome looked to Kiriu "how does…she get him to calm down so …..easily…?" The thought ran threw her mind rather quickly, but she stood silent still. Kiriu looked up at the sky "Its going to be dark soon we should find a place to stay." Kagome clapped her hands together. "Good idea. Inu Yasha should go find fire wood and I'll get the food. You can find the shelter." "Ok" "Right lets go." The three split up. Kiriu soon came to a cave and waited for the others. Inu Yasha arrived just before the sun set followed by kagome. Inu Yasha started the fire and sat next to Kiriu and noticed her shivering "here" he put the jacket part of his himoko around her and she smiles. Kagome blinks "so are you two together?" "What?!?!?" said inu yasha quickly as kiriu blushed a little. "No were not together Inu Yasha is just letting me come with him to find the jewel shards" "oh so why are your eyes white" "I can't see im blind" "oh…" Inu Yasha yawned and laid down "im going to sleep" "night" "feh." He rolled over and closed his eyes. Unknown to them a figure watched the cave from up in a tree. "I have them in my sights master shall I continue to spy on them for you" "yes" came a voice from the darkness "keep a close eye on Kiriu make sure nothing happens to her" "yes master I will do as you instruct." Says the figure as it continues to watch the cave. As the sun rose in the sky Inu Yasha slowly awoken. He looked around and noticed Kiriu was curled up close to him still asleep. He couldn't help but smile as he looked at her. Kagome was already out watching the sun rise as Inu Yasha left the cave "isn't it pretty Inu Yasha" "feh it's just a sun rise" "sit!" Inu Yasha fell flat on his face "what was that for!" "I just like doing it" she giggled. Kiriu yawned softly as she walked out of the cave and Kagome looked over at her "good morning" "morning." Inu Yasdha just grumbled as he stood up. He sniffed the air "Kiriu do you smell that" "huh" she sniffed the air "yea I don't like that scent" "its something worse then a demon." "Correct!" The figure jumped out of the tree showing a woman with long red hair and blood red eyes. "Ready to die Inu Yasha." He groaned "What is it with everyone hunting me" "actuly im after the girl" she points to Kiriu and Inu Yasha growled "your not touching her!" He made a fist ready to kill this unknown woman. Kiriu blinked as Inu Yasha charged at the woman as the woman moved and he ran into a tree. "Ha ha fool you cant defeat me if I wanted to kill you then you would be dead by now." Kagome looked at the woman "Escuse me but who are you" "My name is yami the all powerful and all mighty." Yami bowed "feh stupid woman" "hmp stupid hanyou." Kiriu yanwed again and looked at Inu Yasha "lets get going Inu Yasha" "yeah this woman is giving me a headache." The walk away and yami blinked "h…hey! You can't just ignore me grrr." She walks toward the shadows and blends into the shadows as she follows them. "Well that was weird" "yeah I wonder why she was up in that tree" "feh she was probably one of those wana be demons." The walk away into the forest.
