Chapter 3
Kagome screamed at Kouga to put her down.
"How dare you interrupt my wedding day? ... I will never forgive you for that!" she growled.
"Kagome, please ... you don't mean that ... I love you and you belong to me," he said cheerfully.
"Never," Kagome yelled, "there is only one man for me, and that's Inuyasha. I will never love you, you hear that Kouga, never!" Kagome shouted through clenched teeth.
"You'll change your mind soon, Kagome, you will remain here with me forever!" he retorted.
"He will come for me, and this time it will be my pleasure to see him kill you!" she said glowering at him; then Kagome closed her eyes and called out to Inuyasha, "Hurry my love ... please hurry!"

Inuyasha was pacing back and forth in front of the decorated tree that seemed to reflect the dejected look upon all their faces; he was filled with so much hate and rage.
Suddenly, warmth and love overtook him. It was Kagome; she was calling out to him.
"I'm coming Kagome, I'm coming!" He lifted his head into the air feeling the sun wash over his tear stained face as if it were his beloved Kagome's hands, lips and smile offering him the strength to fight for his love's life.
Inuyasha once again began pacing back and forth asking himself why Kikyo would do this to him.
'I thought we had settled this year's ago,' He thought to himself as Kaede walked towards Inuyasha to offer her apologies.
"I am so sorry, Inuyasha for what my sister has done to you this day ... I too am confused about Kikyo's behavior ... please find Kagome ... and bring her safely back to us all!"
Kaede gave Inuyasha a small hug, and walked over to Kagome's family. Sango was holding Kagome's mother in her arms and comforting her; she was extremely shaken by the whole incident.
"Who was that man, and why did he take my Kagome? ... Please Inuyasha, you have to find her!" Kagome's mother cried.
"Don't worry about that, as there's no one person or force that can stop me bringing her back safe and sound ... of that you can be certain!" he re-assured her.
"No, you won't Inuyasha," Kikyo's voice rang out as everyone turned to see her step from the foliage once again, "I will kill her, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!"
"Why have you done this Kikyo? ... I was under the impression we had settled things between us years ago ... You said you were happy for me, and you would be able to get on with your life ... what's changed?" he asked attempting to get through to Kikyo as she stepped closer to Inuyasha.
"I hate the fact another woman could make you love again ... you sacrificed so much for her, and I never got the chance to have that with you," Kikyo explained as Kagome's mother cut in.
"That's not my daughters fault!" she screamed. "Kagome never asked to be here, nor did she ask to be your reincarnated self ... she didn't ask for any of it ... Kagome came to the realization that this was her destiny and she accepted it ... she's learnt a lot here, especially how to love ... her family, friends and most of all, Inuyasha ... you can't take that from her because of your petty jealousy ... Now give me back my daughter!" she shouted.
"Shut up!" Kikyo yelled. "she took him away from me. We could have loved again, but she destroyed that!" Kikyo countered.
"Your wrong, Kikyo, Naraku destroyed what we could have had. So many lives he has destroyed, and so much has changed. I have changed Kikyo, I love Kagome now and I'll never love another," Inuyasha affirmed.
"You'll love me again once she's gone ... I will find where Kouga took her and I will take what she took from me ... my life and your love!" She declared with fire in her eyes.
"I promise you Kikyo, I will never love you. I will despise you if you harm Kagome!" He replied glowering at her.
Suddenly, Kikyo's wandering souls gathered around her once again and took her away. Inuyasha couldn't understand how she could be so bitter. He didn't care anymore. Kouga and Kikyo took Kagome away and he would stop at nothing to get her back, even if it meant killing them both.
"Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Kiara ... let's go get Kagome!"
They nodded and made for the woods.
"Find her Inuyasha please!" cried Kagome's mother as she sat on a log wiping away her tears.
"I won't return without her," Inuyasha replied offering her a soft smile before he leapt into the trees to search for his beloved.
