I decided to end the story here—I gotta start on my new one. Remember! Reviews=inspiration! And I like to know what the reader is thinking. Its not like I bite or anything >:) Where we last left off…

=Short period of time passes. I picked out important parts

Out of the chasm of her troubled mind, a memory returned. The bone-eaters well. Her gateway home. She smiled in delight at the sudden memory returning. She even giggled a little. As if on cue, the wolf prince came bursting from the trees. Kagome was only frightened for a moment, until she saw it was Koga. She ran to greet him.
“Koga! I remember you!” she said, beginning to jump up and down.
“Koga, I need you to take me to the bone-eaters well” she said, looking him deeply in the eye.
*
“The Kad-ma Demon” she said, following her words with a finger. “A devilish demon that may take on the appearance of another being. The demon has the abilities to cast dark magics even after death.” She said, suddenly stopping at the last part of page.

“What it is Kaede?” Inuyasha repeated, wanting to know the grave importance of the last paragraph.

She closed the book. “Inuyasha, ye must stop Kagome from returning to her time.” Her voice seemed to echo in his head; her last words repeating on his way to the well. “If Kagome is to leave without the dark spell broken, she can never pass through the well again.”

Too Late?

Chapter 10

Kagome liked the breeze that came from being carried in Koga's strong arms. His big, muscular, tan…..err….. arms she thought, suddenly blushing. The scenery around her sped by so fast, she got dizzy looking at the green and brown swirls around her. How does Koga not run into a tree or something? She wondered. She blushed when he squeezed her a little tighter. Looking up into his eyes, a look of love and content had wrapped around his face. Suddenly she ached.

The back of her head throbbed. For some reason, she felt…guilty, for liking Koga. It felt nice, all the attention, she thought, but it felt dirty, as if she was doing it behind someone's back. She and Hojo were not going out, so why was she so bothered?

She could almost hear an argument. She heard her name come up a few times, then her own voice came in, a large smack following it. Someone had stopped the fight. She couldn't pick it apart. Was it a memory, or did she actually hear it in the forest around her? She winced. She didn't want to think about it. The wind was hard against her eyes, so she decided to close them. Koga would understand. Something she didn't understand though kept coming to mind. Why did she keep thinking of Inuyasha?

*
Inuyasha leapt to the well. He sat himself on the rim; they would have to come here eventually. Kagome was not going through this well, not if he had anything to say about it…

Eventually, he heard it. But he smelt it long before. Wolf. A wolf and Kagome. They were close. His ears twitched. It was only a matter of time.

*
They had arrived. An open field, with the well in its center. Kagome gasped when she saw Inuyasha, sitting atop the well as if it was a place you could just sit. It was mostly odd how both his feet were on it as well… She could see him glare as he saw Koga holding her. His gaze felt so fiery, yet so soft. She told Koga to set her down. He did so.
“Kagome, you're not gonna have any problems with that mutt-face Inuyasha are ya?” “No, I'll be ok Koga. You can go on and leave.” Koga tried to protest, but she took a step back and waved. She was tempted to embrace him, but with Inuyasha here….it would have felt awful. She didn't know why.

Silently, Koga sped away, occasionally looking back, before completely vanishing.

Inuyasha hurried over to her. She took a step back, frightened.

“Kagome? Are you ok? Did he hurt you? Damn that wolf for kidnapping you.” He said, cursing his direction though he was already gone.

“Kidnapping me?” She repeated, a little surprised. “Koga saved me, I collapsed on the road when it got too cold, and he saved me…” she said, noticing the look of sadness sweeping Inuyashas' face.

“Kagome…” he whispered.

She began to walk towards the well, her family and home beyond its depths.

A clawed hand grabbed her wrist.

“Don't even think about leaving now Kagome. The group still needs your help whether you have your memory or not.” He said, tightening his grip when he saw her squirm.

“Inu..” she stopped a second, looking to him.

“yasha…” he finished, obviously angry.

“Right, Inu-yasha. You can't just tell me to stay! I have no reason too!” she said trying to break free of his grasp.

“Yes you do Kagome! We need you!” he said, losing his patience every second. And he didn't have a lot in the first place.

“So does my family...” she said, suddenly changing emotions. Her voice suddenly returned soft like it always was. Though she may have lost her memory, she was still the same person.

“…and Koga would have known that!” she finished, suddenly resuming her failed attempts at breaking free.

“What? You shouldn't even remember Koga!” he said, his rough voice now the way it always was when they argued. The last few days had made him soft.

“Well I do! I just remembered him for some reason!” she mumbled, looking at the marks his claws were leaving.

“WHAT? You remember Koga but not me?!?!” he yelled, not realizing the small cuts Kagome was receiving.

Kagome tried the word again. “Sit boy!” adding the last word as something she had remembered. Inuyasha plummeted to the ground. She thought it was odd how falling into the ground would make a smacking sound… but it was satisfying none the less.

His legs were in a somewhat strange position. He raised his head a little. Kagome wondered how he did not break his nose. Everyone in this “feudal era” was really weird…

She retreated to well, putting a foot over. Inuyasha gasped.

“Come on Kagome! We don't have time for you to be stupid! You do it too often” he said, rising slowly from his place in the dirt.

Kagome, mouth open walked back to him, waving a scolding finger in his face.

“I am not stupid Inuyasha! You are just so dense” she said, adding an obvious spike to the last part of her sentence.

“You are too stupid” he said rolling his eyes.

“I am not!”

“Are so!”

“Am not!”

“Are!”

“Not!”

“Are so!”

“Sit!” Inuyasha landed face first again, the small crater in the ground obviously caused from his thick head. She thought.

She gasped. It was happening again.

“Inu…” she whispered, suddenly woozy, her legs wobbly a bit. “Kagome?” Inuyasha had got up again. She didn't seem to hear him.

“UGH!” she grunted, her face contorting in a way that looked like a sudden migraine had formed in her head. She pressed her hands to her ears as if the loudest siren had been placed in her skull; her head was going to explode. The world spun so quickly around her, she felt she was being twirled and turned in every direction. She couldn't see and she couldn't stand without nearly falling. It was so painful, her consciousness thrived to stay, but everything kept flooding back. The emotions, the memories; they were coming back too fast!

A look of immense pain shot across her face as she lost her footing.

“Inu…..yasha” a small whisper escaped her lips, as she suddenly collapsed backwards against the field of flowers, her body landing with a sickening thud.

“KAGOME!”

After two hours, Kagome began to stir. She was still in the field where she had fought with Inuyasha. Speak of the hanyou, she thought. There he was, gazing down at her, clasping his hand in hers. Inuyasha had not left her side for a second.

“Inuyasha!” she giggled happily, noticing the smile that he had suddenly put on.

“Kagome. You collapsed. I'm sorry…maybe it was our fight or something… I didn't…err… I mean I didn't mean too…” he said continuing on, but sadly no information was getting out. Kagome smiled. He stopped talking. She loved it when he tripped over himself, thinking of something nice to say when it didn't come easy for him.

Kagomes smile was genuine, and Inuyasha couldn't help but stare. It was a smile he hadn't seen in a while. It was the one that told him she cared for him.

“No Inuyasha, it wasn't your fault. Its just that I…” she trailed off, picking up a flower to the side. Her head was cushioned by some wildflowers. Inuyasha was sitting as he always was, blocking the sun from her eyes. It was calming really.

“...” Inuyasha patiently waited for her to continue. She sat up slightly so they were eye to eye.

“I remembered…” she said, a smile brimming across her face. They were so contagious; Inuyasha was now wearing one of his own.

“Really? What do you remember?” he said trying to keep his voice calm, but it didn't seem to work.

She giggled. “Everything” she said, gazing up at the bright sky, and moving her legs a little. She looked to him. “And you of course. How could I forget you?” she said, a friendly smile never ceasing to leave her face.

“How come you remembered that wolf first?” he said slightly aggravated.

She thought about this a moment, then smiled again.

“I suppose it's because the Inuyasha I know and love was always a bit of a jerk.” She replied, tapping his nose and giggling a bit.

Did she say love?

“Actually, I don't remember what happened in between getting captured by the demon, and waking up at Koga's” she said.

So she doesn't remember what I said to her… he thought. Would he be brave enough to admit it again? He knew she loved him too, so what was he afraid of? She still could reject him, even if she did love him. That would sure be painful.

She continued. “Did Koga save me?”

Inuyasha shook his head. Funny how she got her memory back, yet lost some of her new ones.

“No, we did, but you lost your memory, as I'm sure you know…” he said, choosing his words carefully.

She nodded with an audible “hmm”, which sort of meant “yes”.

They sat there for a few minutes. Kagome wasn't sure what to do. She had her memory back, should she go tell the others? Yes.

She began to get up. Seeing this, Inuyasha stopped her, and she came back down.

“Yes Inuyasha?”

He sweated. The moment of truth.

“Kagome…I…” he started; his breath became a little uneven. Kagome looked down at his warm hands, then back at him. She was waiting.

“Kagome…we've been…traveling together for a long time. I know that….that…” he stuttered. He put on a brave face.

“I know that I…care about you…Kagome. Very, very…deeply…but I….I thought I… I… thought there might be…” she searched his eyes. Why was he so afraid?

“I thought there might be…something…more there.” He said, looking down again. Kagome brought his head up to match hers. Her eyes were so gentle. He blinked.

“…and over time…I began to lose my train of thought thinking about you…and Kikyo…..Kikyo didn't seem to…matter anymore…” he whispered, desperately looking in her eyes searching for some reassurance she wouldn't reject him. There was none, so he took the plunge.

“Kagome…” he said, looking directly at her. The flowers of the field danced in the wind around them, the trees and brids lay in the outer backround, adding a beautiful peak to the scenery around them. The world seemed to stand still. This was good as atmosphere as any.

“Kagome…” he said, touching her cheek. “…I love you.” With that, he closed the gap between them. They kissed. The uncertainty and fear of all the time they had worried about each other melted away, fueling the passion of their kiss; so comforting and warm, and at the same time, stirring feelings from within both of them; passion, excitement, and something more…feral.

Inuyasha couldn't help but embrace her close, bringing their bodies close together. The heat bouncing off them was so intense, Inuyasha wanted to take off all his clothes. There hearts beat against each other; one rhythm, one beat, two hearts.

Inuyasha tried to make an advance on her clothes, when he instantly felt a hand slap him away. Kagome broke the kiss, erupting into laughter before suddenly running off towards the village.

Inuyasha followed, wearing a huge smile. He would let her stay ahead for a little bit before he would pick her up and take her to the village. Hopefully at this point the curse had been broken. But he was happy, so even that couldn't ruin his mood.

Inuyasha growled, knowing how much of a bother it was gonna be to get with Kagome the way he wanted to. But the way she had ran off, it was her way of running away from her own feelings. She had wanted to do it, she just wouldn't admit it. With a grin, he ran off, following the trail the miko had left behind.

He knew Kagome couldn't resist him if he…well if he pushed the right places; so it didn't worry him. Now what he worried about was the rest of his life. With his renewed courage, he would ask her to be his mate….tonight. Somehow he knew what her answer would be, and he smiled at the thoughts of their future.

Perhaps Kagome was busy too see it, perhaps it was a trick of the light, but for a moment in the well, a picture of a family had grazed the surface of the ethereal water. But then it was gone, a faint memory was all that remained. Inuyasha kept it to himself.

Perhaps it had been there, perhaps it had shown something. Or perhaps…..he thought, finally pushing the thought from his mind. Perhaps it was only a shadow…

So that's the end I think! I don't think continuing this story would be in my best interest. I'm not even getting any feedback cause not many people are reviewing!!!!

I guess that means I'm gonna have to start a new story… ah well. I may add another chapter eventually, but it looks good to end it here right? Hmm… I luv you all! Review!
