Tragic Love Triangle
Chapter 18
Ready For War
The next day Inuyasha walked out of the room quietly. Kagome was still sleeping and he wanted to walk around a little bit to think. What Kagura said was still running through his mind. He barely got any sleep if any at all.
“Ah Inuyasha your up early.” Miroku said from behind.
“I'm always up this early. I just don't leave the room until now.” Inuyasha said.
“Where is Kagome?” Miroku asked. It was rare that she wasn't with him.
“Where's Sango?” Inuyasha asked.
“She's roaming around somewhere.” Miroku said. “I was just on my way to find her. What about Kagome?”
“She's still sleeping.” Inuyasha said.
“Ah leaving her to sleep in peace?” Miroku asked.
“No, I need to think and I can't think around her.” Inuyasha explained. Being surrounded by her scent clogged his mind, so he couldn't think of anything.
“Anything I can help with?” Miroku asked.
“Just something Kagura said.”
“Kagura?”
“One of Naraku's minions. She was saying how I would always be bothered by how I was never Kagome's first kiss. Naraku will always have the pleasure of that.” Inuyasha explained.
“Ah but you will be her last kiss. From now on you'll be the only one she kisses and of course now that your mates you'll get much more than that. Naraku will never know of the pleasures.” Miroku said.
Inuyasha thought about it for a while. Miroku did make sense. He would be the only guy to kiss her, taste her...He'll be the only guy she's with. “That makes sense.” He said.
“Now if you'll excuse me I have to find Sango.” Miroku said.
Inuyasha watched as the monk ran down the stairs in pursuit of Sango. He just shook his head and went back to the room. He didn't need to think anymore. As much as he hated to he had to give Miroku credit for the advice.
As soon as he walked into the room Kagome sat up and yawned. “Where were you?” She asked.
“Just walking around.” Inuyasha said. “Did you just wake up?”
“Hai.” Kagome said.
“Let's go eat some breakfast before we meet with Sesshomaru.” Inuyasha said.
“I'll actually be able to be a part of the discussion?” Kagome asked.
“Don't be such a smartass.” Inuyasha growled lightly. Kagome giggled and followed him out of the room.
-------------------
After breakfast everyone walked into the meeting room. They all took their seats and waited for Sesshomaru to begin.
“I've decided that we won't attack. If Naraku wants a war then he must come here to start it. I refuse to let any of the village people to be involved in this war Naraku wants to start.” Sesshomaru said.
“Ah so you want Naraku to come here so if any damage is done the villages won't be affected.” Miroku said.
“How is it the villages won't be affected?” Kagome asked.
“The castle is in Naraku's path to get to the Western Lands. The only way Naraku can get to the villages is if he passes the castle. We'll be able to hold them off.” Sesshomaru explained. “Only the fighters are to remain in the castle. Everyone else will be gone by this evening until further notice. We will be calling in some allies. I want no complications Inuyasha.”
“Why do you assume I'll be the one to start something?” Inuyasha growled.
“Kouga will be one of our allies right?” Miroku asked.
“He will arrive sometime soon. His wolves will be of great help.” Sesshomaru said.
“What?” Inuyasha yelled. “Why him?”
“We've seen his wolves in action. Their territory is in the Western lands and they want to fight for it.” Sesshomaru explained. “Quit your growling.”
“When do you think Naraku will attack?” Sango asked.
“As Kagome said before he will take a couple of days to heal. That is why we're taking advantage of the moment to prepare for when he comes. Any time after he's healed we'll have to be ready for attack. Any information Kagome can give us will be useful.” Sesshomaru turned to her.
“If I know Naraku he'll attack as soon as he's healed. He hates to lose at anything. His pride and reputation are very important to him.” Kagome said. “I want to be part of this.”
“No, you'll be with the villagers when they leave.” Inuyasha said.
“I'm fighting. I'm part of the reason for this war. I can be useful. I know Naraku and most of his attacks. I can create a shield too.” Kagome said.
“If she wants to help then we cannot refuse her offer.” Sesshomaru said. “For Inuyasha's sake you'll be at the top of the castle. Your arrows are powerful. If you see an opportunity to strike anyone down or create a shield then do so.”
“What?” Inuyasha yelled.
“I'll be fine.” Kagome reassured him.
“Naraku can't reach her from the top of the castle.” Miroku said.
“Sango will also be up there with her. She can ride Kirara around to attack but will be able to aid Kagome if there's need.” Sesshomaru said. “Inuyasha, Miroku, and I will be on the ground with the others.”
“I can't believe this!” Inuyasha growled and slammed his fist on the desk, making a hole.
“Plans are already in action. If you can't follow them then you'll be left with the villagers to leave the castle grounds!” Sesshomaru threatened. “I must leave to inform the others of the plan. An alarm will sound when Naraku is near.”
With that all said Sesshomaru left the room. “Come on Kagome, let's go make use of the peaceful time we have left.” Sango said and grabbed her arm, leading her out of the room.
“I think I'll get some training in.” Miroku said. He walked to the door and stopped. “Don't be too mad at Kagome. She feels this is the only way to repay everyone for their kindness. She can't help but feel its her fault for this war even though its not.”
Miroku then left the room, leaving Inuyasha to worry about his mate. He didn't want her to be in any danger. He'd rather have her tied up somewhere so she couldn't fight. He would just have to try to fight and protect her at the same time.
-------------------
“Arigato for saving me back there.” Kagome said as she and Sango sat down on the grass in the gardens.
“No problem.” Sango said.
“Ne, Sango, I've always wondered what made you come back with Miroku?” Kagome asked.
“I guess I liked him even though he is a hentai.” Sango blushed as she explained. “He's changed. He's not so much a hentai anymore.”
“That's good, your finally happy. And to think you thought no guy would ever find you attractive.” Kagome laughed.
“Well, Miroku's different from most guys.” Sango said. “He proposed to me...”
“Really? That's great! What did you say?” Kagome asked.
“I agreed. He said after the war is over we can make arrangements.” Sango said.
“That's great Sango.” Kagome said.
“I just hope everything goes okay in the war.”
“Hai, me too.” Kagome said.
“Everything will be fine with me protecting you!” Someone shouted from above.
The girls both looked up at the castle wall. Kouga was standing with his usual cocky manner. “Kouga-kun!” Kagome said.
Kouga jumped from the wall in front of the two girls. “How have you been?” He asked.
“Fine.” Kagome smiled. “You?”
“Things have been great!” Kouga said. He moved the hair from her shoulder. “I see you've mated with Inuyasha.”
“Hai.” Kagome said. “It's great that you're here to help.”
“Well of course. The Western lands are my home. I won't let that bastard Naraku take over!” Kouga shouted.
“As enthusiastic as ever.” Sesshomaru said as he walked into the gardens.
“Sesshomaru.” Kouga nodded.
“Come, let's get you and your pack settled so we can discuss the plans.” Sesshomaru said.
“Hai.” Kouga said. He howled and all of his pack jumped over the castle walls. Kouga smiled at Kagome one last time before entering the castle.
“He sure is confident that we'll win.” Sango said.
“Hai.” Kagome said. “Bad guys like Naraku never win.”
“True.” Sango smiled.

Arigato readers and reviews!
---------------------------------------
This is in regards to my fic When We First Met. I'm really starting to get annoyed at the reviewers who like to call me names. From what I know no one really knows Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father's real name. I don't know whether it's Toga or InuTaisho. It's my fic so I don't really care whether or not I get it right. I've heard both names plenty of times. I don't mind being corrected but I don't need to be insulted. I can't believe those people actually waste the time to badmouth me in a review. If you have a problem with something say it in a decent matter. I am grateful for those who review and like my work as well as those who correct me in a nice and respective manner. I will leave the name as Toga because that's what I want it to be. Sorry for writing another long complaint again. I don't mean to make those who review nicely read this. Arigato to those people!
