First day off

 

 

Kagome stirred in her sleep and slowly began to open her eyes, she had half expected to be in her room but the cabin scenery knocked her back to where she was. Looking around she saw that she was the only one still in bed.

 

“So...you finally up bitch?” she heard Inuyasha say from above. She glowered at him and got up to go in the bathroom. “Not gonna say good morning?” he snorted, “and you call me a jerk?”

 

She turned and faced him with a smile and began to walk towards him. His eyes narrowed as she approached. She climbed up the bunk bed causing Inuyasha to shift uncomfortably.

 

“What are you doing?” he asked with a raised brow. She kept smiling and crawled on top of him. He could partly see her breasts at least the top part of it. He swallowed hard as she rested her hips on his lap and moved her face to his side.

 

“Thought you wanted a good morning?” she whispered seductively, sending shivers through him. What the hell is wrong with me? Why can't I push her off? Kagome licked her lips and took a deep breath.

 

“GOOD MORNING JERK!!!” she yelled so loud it startled him and the force he used to sit up almost knocked her off the top bunk. Gladly she held unto his hair so she was safe.

 

“What the fuck bitch... you trying to deafen me?” Inuyasha screamed at her. His ears were still ringing.

 

“Serves you right jerk...” she hit him and got off him. “For the last time, it's Kagome.” She walked down the ladder, took her towel from the closet and strutted into the bathroom with a fixed smile on her face.

 

“Bitch...you're gonna pay for that,” Inuyasha yelled at her back side holding his ears.

“Morning sleepy head...” Rin greeted upon seeing Kagome enter the bathroom. “Inuyasha bothering you already?”

 

Kagome smiled weakly at her and took off her sleeping attire. “Yeah...I showed him whose boss.”

 

“You go girl.” Rin grinned and entered the shower.

 

“Where are Sango and Ayame?” Kagome asked looking around, “did they leave already?”

 

“Yeah... they left with Sesshomaru and Miroku to find the mess hall. They should be coming back shortly.” She answered bending to turn on the shower, “Oh by the way... she wanted me to tell you not to snore so loud in your sleep.” Kagome blushed and entered the shower to take a refreshing shower.

 

“wasn't that loud was I?”

 

“I don't know... I couldn't here it from the other side of the room but...” Rin smiled at kagome's embarrassment, “don't worry about it, I'm sure the boys didn't hear you snore.”

 

“It's not the boys I'm worried about,” she mumbled.

 

“Oh...then I'm sure Inuyasha didn't hear you.” Rin laughed at the death glare she received and finally turned the shower on to bathe. Kagome followed suite and about thirty minutes later they left the bathroom dressed and beautiful.

 

Inuyasha snorted while they wore their shoes, “took you long enough...we thought you both died in there.”

 

“Bite me...” kagome retorted walking past him.

 

“Aww Inuyasha you miss us?” Rin asked starry eyed.

 

“You wish.” He snorted. “Let's get going, Sango and Miroku came back and told me where the mess hall is while you two were taking an eternity to shower.”

 

Both girls rolled their eyes at him and walked out the door after him. It was a pretty hot day. After walking only five minutes the girls were already glistening with sweat and wiping their faces from sweat.

 

Kagome was wearing a spaghetti strap black shirt and a mini skirt with flip flops but she still felt hot. A few more minutes and they arrived at the senior campers' mess hall. Inuyasha did the honors of opening the door but it didn't surprise the girls when he walked in first.

 

Kagome rolled her eyes, “what ever happened to ladies first?”

 

“What ever happened to shutting the fuck up?” he retorted causing Kagome to glare furiously at him.

 

“Oh there they are...” Rin pulled linked arms with Kagome and dragged her to the groups table.

 

“Hey Kagome, have a nice sleep?” Sango asked smiling making space for her friends to sit.

 

“Very well thank you.” kagome replied certain taking a seat. Sango gave them their breakfast. Egg Mac Muffin, chocolate chip muffin, an apple and orange juice.

 

“hmm tasty...” Rin smiled sitting between Sesshomaru and Ayame, receiving a smile from Sesshomaru and a glare from Ayame.

 

Inuyasha sat across from Kagome next to Miroku. There was silence in the air as they ate and no one said a word to each other. Miroku stole glances at Sango once in a while but she pretended not to notice it.

 

“umm...so what are you guys gonna do after breakfast?” Rin asked trying to start something up.

 

“Me and Sango are gonna find are brothers, got to make sure they haven't gotten into any trouble.” Kagome replied before taking a sip of her juice.

 

“I'm gonna find some girl to score with,” Inuyasha took a bite of his muffin getting a chocolate smear on his mouth.

 

“Eat properly Pig,” kagome threw a napkin at him, “you have chocolate all over your mouth.”

 

“You wanna lick it off?” He winked at her and licked his lips seductively. Miroku shook his head in disapproval.

 

“I'm sorry, I don't kiss pigs.” Kagome rolled her eyes.

 

“Your loss bitch.” Inuyasha wiped his mouth and continued eating. Kagome glared at him for the insult but he ignored it.

 

“What about you Ayame? What are you going to do?” Sango asked cutting off any remark that Kagome was about to say to start a fight with him.

 

“Well...I don't really know a lot of people here, I just moved here from the States so...” she trailed off.

 

“You should come hang with us Ayame, and you too Rin if you want.” Sango offered smiling. Ayame smiled back nodding. She wasn't used to so many people being so nice to her.

 

“That'll be fun...after we check on your brothers; we can go to the beach and check out some hotties.” Rin winked. Sango giggled and wiped her mouth as she finished eating.

 

“Are you doing anything Fluffy?” Rin asked.

 

“Fluffy?” Miroku snickered, “she gave you a pet name?” Kagome, Sango and Ayame were giggling.

 

“Wow...who knew you were this soft Sesshomaru.” Inuyasha laughed.

 

“Shut up idiot...” Sesshomaru snapped, “Rin must you call me that?” Rin pouted and made the cutest puppy dog face ever. He watched her uneasily for a while and sighed. “Very well... but only her, I don't want this spreading around camp.” He said giving up. Rin hugged him and smiled.

 

Inuyasha made a sniffing noise, “hmmm... I smell whipped.” Miroku laughed and high fives Inuyasha. Sesshomaru glared at them both.

 

“Forget about them, it suites you,” Rin beamed and linked arms with him, “very cute.” Kagome watched Rin and felt a little jealous. She's so open about her feelings. I wish I was like that... maybe I wouldn't have ended up with Naraku.

She was deep in thought she hadn't noticed Sango pack everyone's things into the thrash and they were ready to leave.

 

“Coming Kags?” Sango asked waving her hand in her face. Kagome snapped back to reality and got up to join them.

The boys headed for the beach while the girls walked to the juniors section of camp. They had a tough time looking for Souta and Kohaku especially when the place is big. Kagome asked a few group of kids if they'd seen them and surprisingly they had.

 

“hmm who knew they'd make so many friends so quickly.” Kagome said as they wandered around.

 

“Oh is that them?” Rin pointed at a crowd of people.

 

“Hey... good eye Rin.” Sango patted her on the back and went for the crowd of kids.

 

“Hey Sango, Kagome what's up?” Kohaku greeted as they got closer.

 

“Hey squirt, how you guys doing?” kagome looked around for Sota but didn't see him. “Where's Sota?”

 

“Oh he went to the bathroom, our cabin is only about three minutes away.” He pointed towards their cabin, “This place is so awesome, told you guys it would be great.”

 

“Yeah yeah... you said it.” Sango looked around the crowd of people. “Looks like you guys made a lot of new friends.”

 

“They're mostly Sota's friends.” Kohaku shrugged. He spotted Rin and Ayame. “Why hello smexies, friends of my sisters?” he shoved Sango out of the way and slicked his hair back like a gentlemen.

 

“Oh… he's so cute,” Rin squealed and squeezed his cheeks. All the other three girls laughed and Kohaku blushed with embarrassment. “I'm Rin, and you must be Kohaku.”

 

“Yeah... how did you know?” he eyed her.

 

“You look a lot like Sango,” she shrugged.

 

“I'm Ayame, nice to meet you squirt.” Ayame ruffled his hair which he quickly got away from. They laughed louder at his childish behavior causing him to scowl at them.

 

“Oh cheer up Kohaku, we're just messing with you.” Kagome giggled as he stuck his tongue out at her.

 

“Well…seems you boys haven't caused any trouble so far so we're gonna head off.” Sango said ruffling his hair one more time receiving an instant hand shove.

 

“Say hi to Sota for me, and stay out of trouble.” Kagome hollered as they left him.

 

“I'm not a kid you know! I can take care of myself” he yelled back at them sticking his tongue out playfully.

“Where do we go now?” Ayame asked as they walked back to the senior section.

 

“I say we go check out the rides at the beach, there's supposed to be all sorts of fun things to do there.” Rin grinned happily pulling Ayame to herself. Ayame stared at her for a while and sighed.

 

“You're so happy all the time, is your blood sugar on high or something?” Ayame asked

 

“It's who I am, I'm a happy person,” Rin giggled, “there's really nothing for me to be sad about anymore...” She finished off looking into the distance almost like she wasn't talking to anyone in particular.

 

“That's reasonable.” Kagome piped in, “Hey... where are you two from?”

 

“I was born in Tokyo and lived here four about 5 years and then my parents moved to USA and I been living there ever since.” Ayame answered. “My mom brought me back to live with my grandma and learn more about Japan and my culture and stuff.”

 

“I see... what about you Rin.”

 

“I'm from Osaka, my aunt and uncle moved us here because there are better schools here and Osaka held too many bad memories for us.” She looked down sad. Kagome noticed this and comforted her with a compassionate hug.

 

“There, there,” she felt a little sad now for bringing up bad memories. “Hey lets not talk about that now. What do you think the beach is gonna be like?”

 

“well...so far everything here had been like extraordinary and awesome so I'll have to say...” Sango placed her index finger to her lips in thought, “like a water park. With rides and everything and hot boys.” She cheered.

 

“I hope so, I love water parks.” Rin giggled skittishly jumping in the air.

 

“Don't we all.” Ayame added smiling. She loved Rin's upbeat attitude, it made her feel welcome and happy.

 

They arrived at the beach and took deep breaths in unison. They could smell the salty sea water and feel the cool breeze from the ocean. It felt great.

 

They looked around and saw that quite a few people were at the beach. It almost looked like someone was having a beach party.

 

“I guess everyone loves the beach huh?” Kagome looked around. “Sango try to find someone we know from school.”

 

“Already on it.”

 

“What school do you guys go to anyway?” Ayame asked as they walked around.

 

“We go to Tokyo High... really good school, has a lot of programs for colleges.” Sango answered.

 

“Maybe I should go there...” Ayame pondered.

 

“What's happening over there?” Rin asked pointing at the crowd of people.

 

“Let's find out.”

 

They walked towards the crowd and could see that more than a few people had gathered around to see a little show it seems. They pushed through a couple of people this way and that till they reached the heart of the crowd.

 

“Sesshomaru? What's going on here?” Kagome asked upon seeing his snow white hair.

 

“Just a stupid competition between two pigheaded idiots,” he sighed, “really I don't know what's gotten into people lately.”

 

“Uhh... who exactly are those?” Ayame whispered to Sango.

 

“Beats me.”

 

“Between Inuyasha and Koga…” Sesshomaru said indicating he had heard her.

 

“Oh...who's koga?” Sango asked.

 

“Inuyasha's rival, they compete over everything. Girls, sports, school, who can drink more beer without going pee pee.” He shook his head pitifully before looking out towards the water where Inuyasha and Koga were having a surfing competition. “It's all so juvenile if you ask me.”

 

“So... who's winning?” Rin inquired.

 

“Don't know…and I have to say I don't care much.” Rin giggled at his laidback attitude. He looked at her with a brief smile but said nothing.

 

Kagome looked out over the sea to see a smirking Inuyasha on his surf board doing flips and tricks which didn't look all too safe. The competition or “koga” was also smirking and looked as though he was about to do something. He caught a wave and jumped as high as eight feet into the air twisting and turning with his board in the air doing numeral tricks and was able to land without a single bone fracture or injury. The crowd cheered for him wiping the smirk from Inuyasha's face. Inuyasha headed for the shoreline. He flashed everyone a grin and turned around heading for the big wave approaching.

 

“What's he doing?” Kagome said in an almost whisper. It's not smart to attack the wave head on; you should always go at it from sideways. Why is he heading right for it? He could hurt himself.

 

Inuyasha continued on towards the wave as it grew and right as the board began to tip upwards he leapt off it trapping the board in between his legs and jumping almost ten feet in the air. While in the air, he kicked the board up with a somersault and positioned it right underneath him for a land on his two hands so that now his legs were free in the air and he was surfing with his hands. Everyone cheered louder than they did for Koga and Kagome found herself cheering too. Even she had to admit that was awesome. It was obvious who had won and so the two boys surfed back to shore.

The crowd slowly dispersed seeing as the show was over. Inuyasha and koga approached the group toweling them selves dry. Kagome took this chance to look over Inuyasha's body. Perfect tan, well built athletic body and those abs…

 

“I won Koga, end of story.”

 

“You just got lucky that's all, next time I'll mop the floor with your ugly face.” Koga retorted. His expressions changed upon seeing three gorgeous girls and made a dash for whoever was closer.

 

“Hey there sexy, my name's Koga... what's yours?” Koga put her arms around a shocked Kagome.

 

“Wow you were awesome, that was so cool. My name's Kagome nice to meet you.” Kagome replied swiftly moving his arms away from around her. She heard a loud cough from Sango's direction indicating something. “Oh, these are my friends Sango, Rin and Ayame.” They all said hello and jumped all over him about how cool his stunt was and all. It made Inuyasha a little jealous.

 

“I think we all forget who won in the end!?” he mentioned loudly hating how everyone was ignoring him.

 

“Oh pipe down Inuyasha; we get enough of your `I'm better than everyone' attitude at the cabin. Give it a rest.” Kagome waved him off. He grunted and stormed away.

 

“You can't win them all lil bro.” Sesshomaru tagged after him.

 

“Wait... you girls are the ones sharing the co-sex cabins with Inuyasha?” Koga asked bewildered, “I envy him, having three such beautiful girls to himself all summer.” He shuffled closer to Kagome, “especially you,” he winked at her making her blush slightly. “May I walk you girls to your cabins?”

 

“Sure” they chorused and began to walk back. Ayame linked arms with him instantly as they walked.

 

“Wow you have such strong arms.” She complimented.

 

“Yeah… I work out a lot for the swim team and track team I'm in.” he flexed his muscles with a showoff grin as the girls oOoed and giggled like skittish school girls. Kagome how ever thought she'd seen one too many buff heads and walked a little faster.

 

She could see Inuyasha heading for the cabin also. She picked up speed and caught up with him.

 

“What do you want?” he emphasized the word you.

 

“Hi to you too” Kagome mumbled as they continued walking.

 

“Well… what do you want?” he asked seriously, “aren't you gonna go drool over Koga like the rest of your squad?”

 

“One, I don't drool over boys. Two, they are not my squad.”

 

“Whatever…” he picked up speed giving her the hint he didn't want her along but she ignored it and walked faster.

He sighed.

 

“Look… all I wanted to say was that, you were awesome just now, I mean that looked dangerous enough to cause real pain. How you did it I'm not entirely sure but it was WAY better than what Koga did. So I guess you weren't all that awful.” She choked out finally. He stopped suddenly and looked at her as if looking for fakeness in what she had just said. Kagome quirked her brow as he stared. “what?”

 

“You sure you meant that?” he started walking again, “I mean…you weren't forced to say that or anything?” he looked at her suspiciously.

 

“Of course, can't I at least have a decent conversation with you without it turning into a fight?” she asked vexed at such an accusation.

 

“I dunno…you tell me.” He shrugged. They arrived at the cabin. Kagome couldn't believe this mortification. How could he. She just gave him a compliment and he doesn't even say thanks and to top it off he accuses her of not meaning what she had said. She took a deep breath and entered the cabin.

 

“Took you long enough, I had half a mind to slam the door in your face...that would have been funny.” He said jokingly.

 

Kagome glared at him, “then why didn't you, we all know you have half a brain anyway” she stormed off into the bathroom leaving Inuyasha at a loss for words at least until she slammed the bathroom door. Was it something I said? He scratched his head and shrugged it off.

They all redressed and got ready for dinner to be served at the mess hall around 6 pm. It went quietly and swiftly without much talking or Kagome's and Inuyasha's bickering. Sango had meant to ask Miroku where he was but she decided against it after all, she didn't care. After dinner they returned to their cabin waiting for Serena to come and tell them about tomorrow's activity.

 

“Sorry I'm late guys,” she walked in with some clothes and sat down. “Come on, gather around.” The group formed a circle around her and listened intently all except you know who. “Ok, tomorrow we're playing soccer since that's the sport the first competition is going to be on. We're going to practice for two weeks. Tomorrow is just a warm up day so… I don't expect you guys to be experts but I do expect you guys to know how to play the sport got it?”

 

They all nodded in unison and she sighed with relief. This isn't as bad as she thought it would be.

 

“so now that that's out of the way...how was your second day here?”

 

“It's alright, mind a few people.” Kagome gestured towards Inuyasha.

 

“Whatever bitch,” he shrugged and lay back on the bed, “like I care.” She glared at him.

 

“I like here, everything seems really mellow.” Ayame piped in.

 

“I especially like the view.” Miroku smirked; he received a hit on the head for that from Sango. “What? It's a very nice view.” Another hit.

 

“Pervert,”

 

“You guys seem to be getting along like friends. Remember, no making babies and no fighting.” She got up to leave. “Good night you guys, lights out at 10 pm.”

 

“Good night,” they replied in unison.

 

“So...what do we do for the next 3 hours?” Rin asked walking into the closet to change into her sleeping clothes. Miroku tried to take a peek which didn't go unnoticed by Sango.

 

“Let's play a game?” Ayame suggested.

 

“Like what? Hide and seek?” Inuyasha snorted.

 

“It was a suggestion idiot.” Kagome defended her, “and a game isn't a bad idea.”

 

“I know,” everyone turned their gaze to Miroku, “let's play strip poker!” they sighed.

 

“Pervert…only you would come up with a suggestion like that,” Sango rolled her eyes at him. “Besides, where do we get the cards to play with?”

 

“I always have cards with me, I don't go anywhere without them.” Miroku grinned.

 

“Figures...”

 

“I have an idea,” everyone turned to face Inuyasha on Kagome's bed. “Let's go down to the beach, it's not that far from here and since it's not bedtime yet, the rides are still open.”

 

“That's not a bad idea squirt.” Sesshomaru said.

 

“Watch it Fluffy” Inuyasha countered.

 

“It's settled then, we're going to the beach!” Rin came back but dressed in her bikini instead of her sleeping apparel with her beach towel around her neck. Sesshomaru's head snapped to her in an instant and settled over her body. He swallowed hard and couldn't help but notice how tiny and perfect her frame was. Nicely built abs and soft creamy skin. Miroku couldn't help notice either as his mouth hung open. Rin giggled and walked towards Sesshomaru who instantly responded by getting up to allow her attach herself to him. They decided to leave first and left the rest of the group in the cabin.

 

“Close your mouth perv...she's gone.” Sango said irritated at his behavior. Miroku snapped his mouth shut.

 

He smirked at Sango, “don't worry Sango, you're the only one in my heart.” He took her hand in his and kissed it. Kagome and Ayame awed, Inuyasha snorted.

 

“Yeah... whatever pervert, lets just go.” She snapped her hand back and walked out hiding the small blush that stained her cheeks.

 

“She wants me.” Miroku said running after her.

 

“Wait for us guys,” Ayame ran after them. Inuyasha decided to follow suite.

 

“Hey, wait for me,” kagome said opening the closet door slightly to see who was left. “Inuyasha wait for me please? I don't like walking alone at night.”

 

“Hurry it up, jeez…” he flopped back down on the bed. Then he thought about an absolutely awful idea.

 

“Inuyasha… are you there?” Kagome walked out of the closet to find the place empty. She sighed agitated. “Figures he'd leave me all by myself.” she walked out the closet when something hard and firm clapped over her mouth. She was dragged back rather roughly against a body much bigger and tougher than her own. Fear roared through her body as she began to shake. Then all of she heard laughter and the hand released her mouth. She breathed hard and clasped a hand over her chest hearing Inuyasha Laugh the hardest she ever seen him laugh.

 

“Wow, you should have seen your face.” Inuyasha said laughing.

 

“That's not funny jerk.” she screamed at him hitting him on the chest but was too weak to do much damage.

 

“Yes it was, told you I'd get you back for that shit you pulled the morning.” He brushed by her and walked out the door. She followed him glowering at how vulnerable he had just made her feel.

 

They hadn't said anything to each other the rest of the night mainly because Kagome was mad at him still and ignored every comment he threw at her.

“That was fun, and we came back in time for lights out too.” Rin said laying on her bed. “we should do that more.”

 

“Good night everyone, good night Sango my love.”

 

She sighed. “Good night every one… “You too Miroku.”

 

Everyone said their good nights and slumped onto their beds. Kagome was a little on edge about the stunt Inuyasha had pulled on her and wasn't able to sleep well. She was finding it hard to sleep and continued to toss and turn in bed.

 

“keep it down, some people are trying to sleep.” Inuyasha hissed softly so no one else would here.

 

“I'm sorry, I can't sleep.” Kagome sighed, “I'm scared...but I don't know why.” She whispered.

 

“that's stupid…just close your eyes and you'll be fine.” She tried it but she still couldn't calm herself down enough to sleep. Inuyasha heard her sigh and got off the top bunk to lie next to her. she yelped as she felt his bare chest next to her backside.

 

“shsshhh, I'm trying to help you sleep, don't get any ideas.” He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to his warm body. “Better?” she nodded softly and relaxed into his arms. Why is he being so nice? “Good now we can both get some sleep.” She closed her eyes and slowly started to drift into slumber.

 

“Good night Inuyasha,” she whispered mainly to her self than to him as sleep took over her.

 

“Good night…”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(A/N: Do I not know when to stop or what? Wow that's like 11 pages of one chapter. I'm beat! Hope you enjoy this chapter. I know the first chapters are a bit boring but it'll get interesting soon. Keep reading. =D)
