Kagome had that same dream again except this time they went a little further in their love making before he left because she didn't know his name. She opened her eyes and cuddled next to the person beside her.

 

Person beside me…? She turned and came face to face with Inuyasha's sleeping baby face and her skin crawled. What's this pervert doing on my bed? Oh my god what if he did something to me while I slept. All the possible horrible things he could have done to her popped into her head and she shivered.

 

Feeling something warm around her legs she blushed realizing it was Inuyasha's entangled legs with hers.

 

“What I'm I supposed to do now?” She sighed pulling the covers off of them. Inuyasha wrapped his hands around her and pulled her closer for warmth at the loss of the cover.

 

“That's it…I can't take this anymore.” She muttered shaking Inuyasha to wake him up. “Wake up you jerk.” she hissed. Inuyasha simply shifted himself and pulled her on top him. He strapped his legs around hers pinning her. Kagome could have sworn she saw a small smile grace his lips.

 

“What type of dream is he having?” she struggled to get out of his hold. “Inuyasha… let go of me dammit.”

 

“Why…” Kagome quickly looked at him expecting him to be smirking at her but his eyes were closed. He's dreaming?

 

“This isn't funny Inuyasha… I know you're awake. Let me go.” Kagome shook him receiving a gentle snore as an indication that he was still sleeping. “Ugh…even when you're asleep you still find ways to piss me off.” She tried to turn over on her bed so that they could be side by side to no avail. She rested her head on his head giving up.

 

“I'll yell at him in the morning.” She yawned and lazily plopped her hands at his side. His face was slightly buried in her hair and she snored lightly on his chest allowing the rise and fall of his chest to lead her to sleep. She closed her eyes and sleep took over her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

^_^ -still in the middle of the night-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Inuyasha stirred, and opened his eyes. He suddenly felt an immense weight on top of him. His eye's burst open as he realized it was Kagome.
 
Currently, Kagome had her hands up his shirt, and had her head right in the crook of his neck. His hand was placed lightly on her butt and their legs intertwined together. Oh shit… if she wakes up I'm toast. Why the fuck didn't someone wake me up. Inuyasha panicked and looked for ways to get her off of him so he could go back to his own bed. He tried to lift her up off him but she held him tightly and her legs pinned around his. This I'll be harder than I thought.

 

“Kagome…wake up bitch…” he whispered. He heard her soft snore and her chest fall and rise on him. He managed to push her down so he wouldn't eat her hair. He looked down at her and smiled. He sniffed her and felt contempt with the sweet smell of lavender that filled his nose. He looked at her face and frowned. He had to admit she was pretty, so how come he felt so hostile around her. He can't even think of a reason why he doesn't like her. Maybe it's because she reminds me of Kikyo whenever I see her face.

 

“Inu…Yasha…” he heard kagome whisper and he turned to face her thinking she was awake.

 

“Kagome?”

 

“Inuyasha you jerk…I'll get you back for this…” she snored lightly and pushed herself back up to rest her head on his neck.

 

“Great… maybe after you stop using me as a pillow.” he rolled his eyes and stroked her head. He yawned feeling sleepy and decided to leave them the way they was…after all it's not his fault right?

“Wake up love birds…rise and shine.” Sango tapped Inuyasha and Kagome gently on the shoulder with a grin on her face. Miroku and the rest of the group were standing behind them watching and snickering. “Come on sleepy heads.” She tapped harder this time. Inuyasha and Kagome didn't so much as stir or even show indication that they were ready to get up yet. They both had fixed smile on their faces and looked like they were really enjoying each other's company.

 

Rin beamed, “Awww they're so cute together…”

 

“Let me try…this trick always works on my dimwitted brother.” Sesshomaru took some of Inuyasha's hair and used it to tickle his nose. Inuyasha made an itchy face and raised his hand to hit what ever was bothering him.

 

“He's so adowable…” Ayame batted her lashes mockingly. The girls laughed at what they thought he was about to do.

 

SMACK!!!

 

They burst out laughing. Inuyasha stirred awake at the noise and looked up to see his friends laughing their asses off.

 

“What the fuck is got all of you so happy?” he quirked an eyebrow. They all looked at kagome on top of him and he turned to see her sleeping form on him as well, he smirked. He signaled for the guys to be quiet.

 

“Wakey wakey Kags baby…” he kissed her cheek and used his hands on her waist to move her off him so they could be looking at each other sideways.

 

Kagome opened her eyes slowly and smiled seeing Inuyasha's face. “I had the best dream ever…” she said sleepily and nuzzled his neck. Inuyasha hadn't expected her to do that.

 

“Oh we know you had a wonderful dream…” Inuyasha smirked moving a hair out of her face, “mind telling us about it?” the group were holding back laughter hiding behind Kagome so she wouldn't know they were there.

 

“Well… it went a little something like this…” Kagome started and then her head shot up as she realized where she was and most importantly who she was talking to. And more importantly cuddling with… Oh my god…

 

The group laughed as she jumped off of Inuyasha and ran into the bathroom. Inuyasha could barely hold himself from laughing so hard. She was so cute just now even he had to admit.

 

“INUYASHA YOU PERVERT!!! YOU'RE GOING TO PAY DEARLY FOR THIS!!!” they heard kagome scream and the shower turned on shortly after.

 

“Oh…you're in trouble.” Rin laughed and took her towel heading towards the bathroom.

 

Ayame followed suit, “yeah…if she's mad enough she'll spank you.” she winked at him entering the bathroom. Sango and Rin laughed quietly so kagome wouldn't hear.

 

“That wasn't very nice Inuyasha…” Miroku shook his head at him watching sango's backside as she walked.

 

“Yeah whatever…she knew I was in the bed why didn't she get me to get off huh?” Inuyasha smiled and tilted his head. “She wants me I can tell.” Miroku sighed at him and walked towards their bathroom.

 

“Keep wishing buddy.”

 

“You're an idiot little brother, there's nothing worse than a woman's wrath.” Sesshomaru shook his head also, as he was about to go into the bathroom he stopped and looked at him. “And are you positive you're not the one who wants her?” he disappeared inside.

 

Inuyasha snorted as his brows drew closer. I don't want her…that's stupid. Stupid Sesshomaru tryna put shit talk in my head. I mean right? I couldn't possibly fall for someone as annoying as her right? Pfft... That's impossible. He told himself walking into the bathroom.

“How could you let him to that to me Sango…” Kagome gave her a look. “You know how much I don't like him.”

 

“Oh lighten up Kags, you know he was just playing around…no harm done.” Sango smirked.

 

“Well…beside her ego but hey…no harm done.” Ayame piped in sarcastically. Sango rolled her eyes and hit her playfully while Kagome pouted. “Cheer up Kagome; it was all in good fun.” Ayame smiled.

 

“At your expense.” Rin added getting out from the bathroom. Sango and Ayame rolled their eyes at her.

 

“I don't find it funny… what if he took advantage of me while I slept?” Kagome sulked.

 

“Well…technically seeing as you were straddling him with your legs I'd say you were taking advantage of him.” Sango smiled at her.

 

“I'll never be able to look him in the eyes ever again.”

 

“You seem to care a lot about this...” Rin observed. “If I didn't know better I'd say you were more embarrassed that it was him you did it with.”

 

“Of course I care,” she snapped back, “he's been a jerk to me ever since we got here and now this? He's driving me crazy.”

 

“Or maybe he's driving you crazy because you have a little something for him and you can't stand that he's actually this type of person.” Ayame said plainly.

 

“My ass…this is war not love believe me, and I'm gonna get him back royally.” Kagome finished getting dressed and walked out the bathroom leaving a grinning Sango, Rin and Ayame behind.

 

“No big, I have a feeling they like each other.”

 

“Oh…Matchmaking is so much fun.” Rin hopped in the air clapping.

 

“Okay…simmer.” They gave her an odd look before they all started laughing and walked out the bathroom.

Breakfast was uninteresting and kind of boring since Kagome swore not to talk to Inuyasha ever again for what he did. She walked around the table to get cheese when she could have just asked him. Now that's serious.

 

“Wow you made her even angrier than she was yesterday…” Miroku whispered to Inuyasha.

 

Inuyasha snorted. “Not my fault she slept in the same bed as me. Besides…she should be happy to have been on top of me like that. Girls die for that experience.” He grinned cockily. Miroku gave him a dry look at the last statement.

 

“well… all I gotta say is be careful.”

 

“Won't need to.” Inuyasha took a bite of his food and washed it down with milk. He looked at Kagome who was glaring at the food on her plate. She was also blushing. Why is she blushing?

 

“Hey Ka- Bitch…pass the butter.” He breathe a sigh of relief as he was about to say her name. Nobody seemed to notice either. Or so he thought.

 

“Get it yourself jerk.” Kagome shot back not looking at him.

 

“Well it would be better if you got it for me seeing as it's right in front of you idiot.” Inuyasha rolled his eyes. Kagome just ignored him and kept eating. He sighed. He stretched himself above the table to get the butter ignoring the complaints from the rest of the group. He took the butter from the table and blew a kiss her way. Kagome raised her head to glare at him but he had already sat back down. She turned and saw him flash a wink at her. She made a gag face and turned to her food.

 

“Hey people…how's it going?” Serena popped from out of nowhere startling Rin. “Oops…”

 

Rin smiled nervously and detached her arms from Sesshomaru's arm.

 

“I wont do it again…my news today is that we wont be playing soccer instead we counselors have been informed to train you campers on how to survive in the woods.” Inuyasha snorted while everyone looked confused at her. “well… you guys are gonna head back to the cabin and the girls can get four items only while the boys can only get three. Oh by the way… I'd take a tooth brush and maybe soap, you're gonna be stuck for a while. Questions?” Rin's hand shot up.

 

“What do you mean woods, the woods over here? But we already know our way in and out of the woods.”

 

“Oh not these woods, I mean the part of the camp site not on the map. It was deserted from a long time ago. It's like and actual mini jungle so I'd come very prepared.” The group gave her and odd look. “don't worry about it, I'll be there so you guys will be fine…for the most part.” She mumbled the last part inaudibly for them not to hear. “one more thing, this is a guys vs. girls competition so there's a prize for the winner in the end.”

 

“How long are we gonna be there for?” Miroku asked.

 

“Two days,”

 

“TWO DAYS!?!”

 

“relax, the days will go bye just like that once you start having fun. Or running for your life which ever comes first.” She smiled at them, “well see you at the soccer field in 15 minutes, Chow sweeties.”

 

“Two days in the wilderness? That's crazy. I better pack some bug spray.” Ayame put her things in the trash. The girls stood up ready to leave.

 

“See ya later guys.” Rin waved and they left.

 

“Were they just deaf she said they could only pack four items?” Inuyasha stared at their backs. “all I'm packing is a toothbrush.”

 

“Same here,” Miroku added.

 

“Wouldn't it be wise if one of us packs a toothbrush and then the other packs a paste that way we'll be able to pack soap?” Sesshomaru said and they looked at him like he was from a different planet.

 

“That's just nasty Sesshomaru…” Inuyasha and Miroku shook involuntarily and sesshomaru sighed at their idiocy.

“Welcome campers to the first ever SURVIVAL IN THE WOODS Challenge!” Serena exclaimed. They all cringed at the sudden high pitch of her voice.

 

“Did you really have to do that?” Inuyasha barked.

 

“Ugh whatever… lets see what you've packed.” The girls showed her one toothbrush, soap, a match and a knife. The boys showed her two toothbrushes and sesshomaru's comforter. She eyed them like they were the stupidest people she'd ever seen. “Okay…lets get going, you'll need to memorize the route we're taking because your last challenge will depend on it.” They nodded their heads and started walking. Serena had them walk around for a pretty long time. They went this way and that, climbed a few big rocks that could pass as mini mountains and by the time they got there they were exhausted.

 

“Tada…here we are people. Girls, you're gonna camp here near the river. And the boys will camp near the big fruit trees over that way.” The girls pouted and the boys high fived each other. “Don't worry girls, there's an advantage and a disadvantage in both positions so I really don't see what's got them so happy.”

 

“Where are you gonna camp?” Sango asked Serena.

 

“That's for me to know and for you to find out.” She replied slyly. “Now here's the first challenge of the day. Set up a tent that you will sleep under. It has to be big enough for everyone to sleep in, and include a roof. There's a very high chance that it'll rain tonight.” Serena smiled at their stunned faces. “You guys have to be careful about your surroundings because there are some dangerous animals around. So don't get lost in the woods alone.”

 

The girls' faces twisted slightly. They were already frightened.

 

“Are you insane!?! How are we supposed to do that with two toothbrushes and a bed cover?” Inuyasha asked angrily, ignoring the last part of what she just said.

 

“Not my fault… you should've packed one toothbrush and packed two more useful items.” Sesshomaru gave Inuyasha a look at her statement and rolled his eyes. “Well get to work people, I'll take you boys to your camp ground. I'll come by to give you guys your lunch meals later. Chow!!”

 

“Chow to you too…” Rin waved back, “you guys notice how she says chow most of the time now?”

 

“Yeah… so what's the plan?” Ayame asked.

 

“Well… let's make a simple tent, something like you know, leaves as roofs, we'll hold it together with vines and we'll put leaves on the ground to sleep on.”

 

“We'll gather some wood, you guys get leaves. Big, long leaves.”

 

“Alright! Let's win this thing.”

 

 

~~~~Meanwhile~~~~

 

 

 

“Here you are boys have fun…” Serena waved good bye leaving them.

 

“Bitch…” Inuyasha cursed under his breath.

 

“I heard that…”

 

“GOOD!!!”

 

“We'd be able to have at least some type of advantage if you two had listened to me about packing only one toothbrush.” Sesshomaru sighed, “But noOo that's just nasty.” He mimicked Inuyasha receiving a glare from him.

 

“Okay ladies…this isn't the time to bicker, we have to win this challenge somehow.” Miroku shouted pushing the angry brothers apart. Seeing as they finally stopped arguing he continued.

 

“Inuyasha you'll gather wood for us to use as walls, the more wood we have the better and more stable the tent will be. Sesshomaru, you get leaves. Big, strong leaves that's thick enough so that the rain won't pass through. I'll get vines and ropes and stuff to tie the tent together. Got it?”

 

“Who died and made you our leader?” Inuyasha asked snappily at him.

 

Miroku rolled his eyes. “You have any better ideas?” Inuyasha pouted and crossed his arms across his chest mouthing a silent `whatever'.

 

“So let's get to it then.” Sesshomaru removed his shirt and hoped on the very top of a tree. He looked over the beach and saw the girls' cabin wasn't too far from theirs. They were quite well on their way with their tent too. He jumped back down and went off into the forest. Inuyasha and Miroku had already left for their equipments and left the comforter and toothbrushes on the ground.

 

 

~~~~With Kagome~~~~

 

 

Kagome walked around the forest gathering vines and some fallen branches here and there being careful not to wander off too far from the campsite. She had changed to her sky blue bikini and used two twigs to put her hair up in a messy bun. She walked around picking up what she thought would be useful for the tent when something brown in the bushes caught her eye. Now of course she could've ignored it and continued what she was doing but she decided to poke at it to find out what it was.

 

Her heart skipped a beat seeing an 8 feet tall brown angry bear in front of her. Of course, using her head like any other human being in this situation would, she ran as fast as she could and the bear gave chase. She yelled for help but by now she was too far away from camp for anyone to hear her. Trying to remember what her grandmother had told her, she looked back at the monster that'll rip her to pieces.

 

“Somebody help me!!!” she stumbled on a tree root which was massive and quickly climbed up the tree. The tree was huge and the flowers on it were white as snow. The bear roared scratching at the tree in an attempt to climb it but failed. Kagome breathed a sigh of relief as she watched the bear circle the tree looking dangerously into her eyes.

 

“HELP somebody. Sango, Ayame, Rin, anybody Help!!!” She shouted for what could be her life.

 

 

~~~~Inuyasha~~~~

 

 

Inuyasha was walking around the forest after gathering wood for the tent. He figured he's gathered enough and decided to look around the jungle for something interesting to do. Picking some mangoes from a tree he heard a soft shriek for help but dismissed it thinking it was the wind. He removed his shirt and used it to wipe the yellow juicy mango and sat down, resting his back on the tree.

 

He looked up at the sky and calmed himself down to think. He heard another cry for help and this time it seemed a bit closer. He got up quickly leaving his shirt and everything else behind he ran towards where the yelling was coming from. He heard the roar of the bear and figured the person was in serious danger. Inuyasha ran as fast as he could and stepped into the sunlight to see a girl in blue bikini on a tree and a bear circling and roaring at her. She had her back turned to him so he couldn't see her face. The screaming stopped when he jumped in front of the bear baring his teeth at it.

 

“I-Inu…Yasha?” he heard from behind him and turned to find a sobbing Kagome hugging the tree as tightly as she could for dear life. She had tears in her eyes and her face was blood red. His face softened seeing her so teary-eyed and in pain. “Watch out!!!” she shrieked suddenly as the bear ripped through his shoulder with its claws. Inuyasha yelped out in pain and Kagome slowly started trying to get down the tree. Inuyasha managed to push the bear off him.

 

“Kagome stay there… don't come down no matter what.” He screamed half looking at her. The bear shifted for another attack.

 

“But…” she wanted to help but didn't continue to climb down. She watched the blood dripping from his shoulder. The bear attacked him again and he dodged it and kicked it in the stomach. It merely roared a yelp and attacked Inuyasha again. Inuyasha picked up a nearby branch and used it to defend himself. It ripped the branch in two with a swipe of its arm.

 

“A shit load of good that did.” Inuyasha dodged another swing and looked around his surrounding for a way to stop the bear. Looking back at Kagome's worried face he sighed. I guess it was now or never. Inuyasha reached for his ear and removed his diamond earring. Kagome's eyes widened as she saw two furry ears suddenly appear at the top of his head.

 

“Inuyasha?” She asked warily. He turned and faced her with a nervous smile, then threw the earring at her to hold. She caught it and stared at it like it was some kind of alien device. But it looked just like a regular earring. She noticed how his muscles got bigger and showed more with his smallest amount of movement.

 

Now it was Inuyasha's turn to attack. He pounced on the bear with his claws and tore some flesh. It yelped in pain and Inuyasha backed off of it. Blood trickled through his hands and down his claws. The bear roared at him and he growled back just as fearfully. It watched Inuyasha for a while then headed into the forest to go about its own thing. (A/N: don't you just love bears? When they can't kill you or hack you to bits they leave you alone.) Inuyasha breathed calmly as he watched the bear leave. Kagome climbed down the tree and cautiously approached him.

 

“Inu…Inuyasha?” she reached out and touched him, he suddenly got tense and the sudden movement forced her to flinch her hand away. He didn't turn around to face her, if anything; it looked like he was trying to hide his face from her. “Inuyasha are you alright?” still no answer. Tears welded up in her and she hugged him full force digging her face into his back. This caught Inuyasha by surprise. “I'm so sorry Inuyasha… this is entirely my fault, if I hadn't bothered that bear you wouldn't be so badly hurt.” She balled.

 

She doesn't care about what I look like? Doesn't she see I'm not human? What's wrong with this girl? Inuyasha turned around and faced her. He tried to look her in the face but she wouldn't let him. she dug her face into his chest with silent sobs. Inuyasha couldn't understand what she was crying about; I mean he saved her right?

 

“Kagome…it's not your fault. It's alright now, the bear is gone.” He hugged her compassionately stroking her head.

 

“But your shoulder…” she looked up at him with watery eyes, Inuyasha's golden orbs looked straight into her eyes and for the first time ever, he looked at her with warm caring eyes.

 

“Look…forget about my shoulder this is nothing I can't handle, as long as you're alright.” Inuyasha smiled at her. He caressed her cheek gently and pulled her head up also leaning his head in. Kagome blushed realizing what he was about to do. She wanted to pull away but she also wanted to kiss him. So gently she closed her eyes as their faces where inches from each other. But nothing happened. She felt a cold breeze from his lips blow her tears away and he kissed her forehead. Her heart sunk slightly and she didn't know why. She wasn't eager to kiss him that badly was she?

 

“Um…thanks” She said a bit disappointed. “Come let's get you cleaned up okay? It's the least I could do.” She pulled his good arm dragging him to the tree she was stranded on earlier. “I remember seeing a stream nearby as I ran from the bear. You wait here and I'll be right back.” She said before Inuyasha could protest.

 

“Uh Kagome you might wanna know that- ”

 

“It's okay Inuyasha…I'll be back in a flash.” She ran off. Inuyasha folded his arms across his chest and smirked. Boy was she going to be surprised when she came back. He leaned his head back against the tree and decided to nap for a little while waiting.

 

Kagome came rushing back with her wet shirt hand. She managed to soak the shirt up pretty heavily to put on his shoulder. She saw him napping and thought perfect timing. She knelt down beside him and moved his partially red and white hair to look at the shoulder injury. She looked in awe seeing that his injury had healed and not only that but there was no sign of there ever being any injury there except the blood. Then she remembered what had happened as he fought the bear. He took off his earring and suddenly became super buff, super strong Inuyasha. Kagome looked at the earring on his ear and wondered. Maybe if I could… she reached for the diamond earring and took it off his ear. He stirred slightly and she watched as his body transformed. His nails grew longer and sharper. Two furry ears now appeared on the top of his head and his fangs were slightly longer and much sharper. Is he some sort of dog? And what about Sesshomaru, doesn't it mean he's just like him then?

 

Kagome watched him sleep and her eyes stayed glued to the ears atop his head that moved ever so slightly when she did. She reached up her hand slowly to touch his ear, they were so cute and hard to resist. Slowly and almost there she approached his ear.

 

“Boo…” Kagome nearly jumped out of her skin. She glared at Inuyasha smirking at her. His golden orbs looked deep into her eyes and she found herself unable to speak. She swallowed hard getting lost in his eyes. Inuyasha cleared his throat and broke the staring contest they were having.

 

“Oh…here wipe yourself clean, you're a mess.” Kagome handed him the wet cloth blushing. Inuyasha took it and cleaned his shoulder of the blood. he looked up at kagome who was staring at her hands.

 

“Do you mind giving me back my jewelry?” he asked handing back her top which was now the colors white and red.

 

“Oh this…no problem,” Kagome gave him back the earring still not looking at his face. She was still embarrassed at being caught trying to touch his ears. Inuyasha put the earring back on his ear and transformed back.

 

“So… I guess you wanna know what happened and why I'm a monster right?”

 

“No…well not that you're a monster because I think you're totally cool…” she babbled, “I mean you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. But of course I'd love to know…not that you have to tell me or anything… I mean I'm not even like your best friend or anything…so you shouldn't tell me your secrets an-

 

Inuyasha put his finger on her lips to stop her nonsense talk. Who knows, she might have rambled on forever.

 

“Well I'm gonna tell you anyways, seeing as you already know.” She nodded her head and kept quiet. Inuyasha pulled her closer and sat her down in between his legs on the ground. Kagome blushed but didn't protest. She rested her head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her and breathed in heavily.

 

“Truth is that I'm really a half demon. I'm half human and half demon. The reason I had the earring was to hide my demonic side, but it doesn't hide all of it seeing as my hair is still white even when I have it on. My dad was a great dog demon in his time and had fought in the Great War. What happened was that there was a war between the demons, and the humans. My mom was the upcoming ruler of the eastern lands of the human nation and as a princess was required to marry either a prince or a king.”

 

One faithful day as my mom ventured outside of the castle she was attacked by low life demons who wanted to use her to collect a big paycheck. My dad had seen them kidnap her and rescued her from the demons. When he brought her to her parents in the castle they were grateful and offered him her friendship allowing him to come into the castle whenever he felt like it. My mom and dad grew closer together with each day and soon my mom was pregnant with me. They married and my dad became the great dog king and also the eastern land king. So both nations merged together and formed a neutral country where demons and humans lived in peace. But not too many years later, a few humans that detested demons started a civil war with the demons.”

 

Kagome listened attentively; this is some history lesson eh?

 

“Their goal was to eliminate all the demons and half-breeds in the country so that it would be a human only country. My mom and dad tried everything they could to stop the war but it couldn't be helped. Soon more than half of Japan was in a war between humans and demons. My mom, me and sesshomaru were put into hiding and my dad fought in the war. Sadly and also thankfully not all the demons were eradicated. Most of them went into hiding. My mother's great aunt, Priestess Kaede made up a demonic bracelet that would conceal a demons demonic power and hide their demonic features so they appear more human than demon. This also works on half demons. She created it in a bunch of different ways, like as a pin, bow ties, earrings, rings, hair ties and so on.”

 

“That's how I've lived to this very day… so we keep in secret because we don't want another war to breakout. We'd rather not hide who we truly are but what can we do?” Inuyasha shrugged answering his own rhetorical question. “And since demons can live many centuries, there's going to be demons around for a long time.”

 

“Wow…I don't think I was born then when all that happened. I'm sorry you had to go through all that Inuyasha. Discrimination is unacceptable; after all, demons are living breathing people and shouldn't be treated any less than a human.”

 

“So you don't think I'm a monster?” Inuyasha asked wide-eyed. Kagome turned around and faced him looking into his now violet eyes.

 

“I know you're not a monster Inuyasha.” she smiled. “if anything, I'd say you were the cutest half demon I'd ever seen. Especially those cute dog ears of yours.” She giggled. Inuyasha smiled at what she'd said even thought he was the only half demon she'd ever seen. He took off his earring and tilted his head towards her. Kagome gasped at this.

 

“Come on… I saw the way you were looking at them earlier.” He said. Kagome shrieked happily and attacked his ears. They felt so soft and nice. And she could tell Inuyasha was enjoying it too seeing as he started to purr. Kagome giggled. Inuyasha put his earrings back on which disappointed Kagome.

 

“lets get going, you don't want to worry Sango too much.” Inuyasha got up and lifted her up too.

 

“So… how many people do I know are demons?”

 

“Well besides me, there's Ayame, Kouga, and Sesshomaru.”

 

“Ayame too?”

 

“but you can't tell them I told you… it's supposed to be a secret. The less people know, the less chance of another war happening.”

 

“My lips are sealed.” She zipped her mouth shut and winked at Inuyasha. Kagome reached just before their camp ground and gave Inuyasha a big bear hug. “Thanks for saving me Inuyasha.” She went on her tiptoe and kissed him lightly on the lips then ran out the forest to her friends before she could hear anything of what Inuyasha said.

 

“Hey guys! I'm back…” Kagome waved at her friends.

 

“Where have you been? We were worried something had happened to you out there…” Rin hugged her.

 

“You don't know the half of it.” Kagome smiled at them and looked back at Inuyasha and winked.

 

Inuyasha just stood there watching her back and touched his lips slightly. For some reason he had butterflies in his stomach. Could it be that he was really starting to fall for that wench?

 

He found his way back to his camp ground. And hadn't bothered to collect the wood and leaf he was supposed to get.

 

“Where the hell have you been Inuyasha… and where are all the branches you were supposed to get?” Miroku asked as he approached the group.

 

“Oh bite me…” he sat down and rested his head on a tree. Miroku saw the blood on his hair and decided not to continue.

 

This was one hell of an afternoon. Why did I tell her all those things? I'm getting really soft. Or maybe I'm starting to actually like her as a friend and maybe more…

 

 

 

 

(A/N: Okay Chapter 5 is finally up. I'm sooooooooooo mega, gigantically sorry for not updating all those times, I would have but I had no internet. Sad to say I'm now on dial up. ** Makes gag face** anyway the story that Inuyasha tells is completely made up by me. I don't know how inuyasha's mom and dad met each other. But hey tell me what you think of it. I'll have chapter 6 up in no time as well as chapter 7 to make up for all those times I couldn't update. Keep reading people. ^_^
