Last time:

The rest were shot out of their stupor upon hearing the laughter. The next moment, kagome found herself hugged by Yusuke and Sango. Miroku stood there smiling warmly at her. Inuyasha and kikyo were nowhere to be found. She frowned.

Sango then stood and shooed everyone out of the hut so as to give her rest. All questions and answers are left for tomorrow.

Chapter 4: subconscious troubles

All of them left the hut. Yusuke did not want to leave her side but was threatened by Sango's big boomerang.

Despite the objection from his mind, Hiei found that he had perched himself in the tree just outside the hut, near enough to look after her.

Hiei's turmoil

What am I doing? She's JUST a NINGEN!

Back to the tree outside the hut

"Argg, STUPID!" Hiei growled out loud.

"Uh, you okay, Hiei?" asked a concerned Kurama.

"Hn!" with that he turned his back not facing him.

Kurama was confused by this outturn, but shrugged it off and went into the next hut to sleep. He was about to go into slumber but the two voices in him interrupted him.

# DUN sleep! WAKE UP!!!! #

[But …why, im sleepy]

Kurama was jerked up from his sleeping position. Never once were they this cooperative.

With a big hammer and one powerful swing, Youko has gone to `sleep'.

With that comes the start of a peaceful night for Kurama. And a pondering night for Hiei.

`What's Yusuke doing here? Why are two youkai with him? Does he noes that they are youkai?'

^ In a sense, yes. You are here now as Kagome, because my memories and powers have been sealed. The personality that you have is yours not mine. My locked memories are mine; you do not know any contents from there. Your memories from the age of baby are yours and added on to my sealed memories. Get it? ^

`I think so… so does that means that when yr memories unlock. Ill disappear?'

^ Hmm… of course not! You will continue to live in the existence of me. Your personalities will combine with my but to acknowledge them is up to mi; after all I am the real existence of this body. Your lifetime is like an experience for mi. confused? ^

` Yeah…'

^ Dun worry, when my memories and powers unlock. You and I will be one. But u will no longer be able to control this body. You will be living within mi, kinda like my subconscious. ^

`Oh…'

^ What? Unhappy that you are going to lose the chance to live as Kagome? ^

`Oh no… it just feel right. WHICH is kinda WEIRD `

^ Of Course its right, you are a part of mi, its only right to merge back into mi. ^

^ Do be WARNED that, once I take over. The whole personality and attitude thing are to take a 180-degree change. ^

During this whole interaction, Kagome had a dazed look on her face. Sango began to worry about her. She waved a hand in front of her in tenting to get her attention. And was about to slap her face, when she heard her say what.

"I thought we are losing you again. What happened to get you so dazed?"

"Oh… nothing. Just thinking… how…how my side does not hurt as much now." She finished the sentences quickly.

Sango looked at her with worried eyes, and decided to drop the subject. After all, whenever there were troubles in her mind, Kagome will always tell her.

"Let's take a look at that wound."

With that, Sango carefully begun to unwrap the bandages.

"How is it?"

Kagome asked and was rewarded back by a loud gasp.

"W…what is it, is it THAT bad?!"

"No….Its just that…that its almost half- healed." She explained in disbelief and begun to rewrap the wound with another roll of new bandages.

After the whole wrapping procedure was done. Sango looked Kagome in the eye, and said.

"Is THERE anything you wanna tell mi?"

"Nope"

"ARE you sure THERE'S nothing you wanna tell mi?"

"No, there isn't."

"ARE you SURE?"

"Yes."

"SURE!"

"YES!!!! No matter how much u ask the answer is still YES!"

"Okay, okay. No NEED to get hostile…"

"Im sorry…"

" No problem. Now ARE you sure you have nothing to tel…"

"SANGO!!!"

"Okay, I get yr point. See ya tomorrow. Good night."

Kagome's POV

It was still early when my oh so `great' companion decided to wake mi up. When I say early…I mean real EARLY. No one is even awake yet! Just thinking of it, I really wanna kick all of them up… maybe pouring water on them…or maybe, maybe I can… …

`WOAH, freeze and rewind! Did I just thought of playing a prank on them?!'

The rest of the time was spent on getting Kimiko to talk but was greeted by the silent treatment much to the similarity of a certain fire koorime…

Just as Kagome was fuming with the lack of responses, Yusuke burst through the door and gave her a bear hug, chocking the breathe out of her. Miroku helped to get Yusuke to release but ended up with two slap marks and punches. Kurama looked up to see that Hiei had also punched the pervert. At that moment, his eyes flashed gold and he growled at Hiei.

Hiei was surprised at himself when he glared back and growled. These moves startled Youko and allowed Kurama to take the control of the body back.

# SEE! I TOLD you he is trying to STEAL our mate! #

[Well… its nice that Hiei had taken a liking to someone especially a girl]

# AND you wanna give HER to HIM #

This is going to be a long, long day… I can feel Youko hopping like a happy bunny at the back when we agreed that we like Kagome a lot.

Hiei POV

What's that fox think he's doing? Growling at mi for hitting the monk.

What was that about? Why are they being so hostile to each other? Kagome looks fine, well better get down to business. She has lots to explain especially about why she hangs out with a stupid mutt and a girl that looks like her, but way colder than her.
