What was that about? Why are they being so hostile to each other? Kagome looks fine, well better get down to business. She has lots to explain especially about why she hangs out with a stupid mutt and a girl that looks like her, but way colder than her.

Chapter 5: the history of Crest Realm.

Jagged bolts of lightning ripped through the gathering dark clouds. For a moment the sound of raging thunder roared through the dead of the night. Once a beautiful place for those who seek the art of sorceries, and for those who desires know ledges of the old and ancients. A holy land where mystical and mythical creatures dwelled, a place where magic casters call home. It has now been reduced to a silent tomb, not a soul in sight.

This very land itself is an essence of ancient magic. Magic that allowed the land to prosper and bloom in ever lasting green, replenishing the ingredients needed for spells and potions. A land that holds no promises to peace and chaos. All depends solely on its people. A land that shall breed both evil and good. A land where corruptions to the dark side occurs. A land where light and darkness are always together but forever apart.

History time~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Many centuries ago, during those days, anyone can extract the magic essence from the land to use as his or her own. It was supposed to be a wonderful service from the land to its people, but greed turned this act into one with disastrous effect.

Greed led many to take more than their body can contain and thus an evil miasma was released and strengthened as more fall into the depths of darkness. Many lost themselves in this greedy act. Letting the miasma to take over their mind and body. And soon the war between light and darkness ensued.

Light consisted of people who wanted to end the misery the darkness had caused and have the peaceful days returned to them. The darkness just wanted to destruct all things and to blanket this land into darkness.

The war was long and tiring, when finally three warriors, who were later known as the legendary warriors, summoned the remaining power of the land to seal the evil miasma to the farthest end of the land. The land was exhausted out of its power and soon spitted into many continents. And from that day, the land never really did recover from its exhaustion. It only provided enough to allow the lands to bloom evergreen in certain continents.

The people were grateful to them for ending the war and agreed to let them rule over them, thus three of the largest continents were given to them. There they built their own empire and ruled. They agreed to give the name `Crest Realm' to this newly bornt land. And the people lived harmoniously together. There was no such thing as discrimination. However, when there is light, darkness will follow. Hearts of the people are unpredictable…

Many centuries passed since the war, the lesson from the war was by far long forgotten, all thought that it was only a myth. Many rulers have been overthrown to replace with a new stronger one, the lands' names had also changed numerous times by the new rulers, till they rested on Moon Crystal, Ice spirit, and Shadow. Throughout the years of their ruling, none managed to overthrow them. Their heirs were going to take over the thrones but then came the downfall of the Crest Realm.

Back to the deserted land.

A shadow stood tall at a cliff looking down at the forbidden lands or simply looking at what was left of it.

"… After these long years… im finally back. Mark my words; blood will be spilled for what I had gone through all these years…" the person in a black hood whispered to the quiet night.
