Chapter 15: confessions

Hiei POV

Just as that girl now known as Sora started to tell us about the proposal. Yusuke's communicator started to ring.

"WHAT you want toddler! We are in the middle of something!"

"I NEED you here now! HURRY!" Botan appeared and send us through the portal, before we could protest.

"Why are we here?" Sora asked looking at that toddler.

Kimiko shrugged her shoulders to show she doesn't know. She looks so cute like that.

"GREAT! Finally here. Kimiko sama you are here too."

"Why did you call her sama?" the baka asked.

"Because she deserves it and that's not what you are here for."

"There's something heading towards the vault. Go stop it now!"

"And…err can you help, Kimiko Sama? It will be fun."

"Okay!" she answered gleefully.

What's up with her and fun?

Kurama POV

`She such loves to play'

#What are you complaining about. If she loves to play that means she will be very fun in…#

`Dun you dare finish that sentence.'

At the front of the vault~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yusuke POV

"Spirit gun!" I shot at that thing in front of us.

"Hey guys, I feel a lot of spirit from it."

"Hn, we know." He slashed that thing with his katana, successfully cutting its head off.

But it grew another head. That thing was like a giant snake, with spiked head. It is brown in color. "What kind of youkai is that?"

"That's not a youkai. That's a servant of the element, Earth, its called snake." Kimiko answered mi.

"And what the HELL is that!"

"Stop shouting! I can hear fine!"

"Sorry! How do we destroy it?"

"Find its weakness. Every servant of the elements have a weakness."

"Ya, like what!" I retorted, as I leapt away from the attacks.

"Use your brain! Its weakness is…!" I looked to see that she was swallowed by a gapping hole in the ground. Kurama jumped for her but was swallowed as well.

"KIMIKO! KURAMA!" I felt the ground below mi gave way. I landed on some thing soft, I moved to see Kuwabaka below mi, and then the source of light disappeared. Great, im stuck with an idiot underground.

Hiei POV

I saw Kimiko being swallowed by the gapping hole; I tried to jump for her but was swallowed by another hole. The last thing I saw was Kurama being swallowed by the hole along with her.

I landed on both of my feet on the hard ground. I spun around when I heard someone behind mi. I turned and saw that Sora person beside mi dusting dust off her school uniform. Then we lost our source of light.

Kurama POV

I went after Kimiko when I saw her fall, but was swallowed along with her. We landed in the water. I helped her to her feet when the source of light died off.

Kimiko POV

Im all wet, stupid hole. Why does it have to swallow mi. Well, at least Kurama is with mi. I took a step forward and hit into something hard yet soft. "Ouch." I muttered and I felt arms go around mi. I raised my hands casting a light spell to light up the place.

"Light of life, purer than any, ignites this darkness you see." A glow of light appeared on my palms. I threw it upwards and allowed it to glow brighter, successfully lighting the whole place up. I blinked to get used to the light and I saw Kurama holding mi. I leaned closer and placed my palm on his cheek.

"Are you okay? Your eyes are different." I questioned and the specks of gold disappeared, the emerald returned. I wonder why. He unwrapped his arms around mi, taking a step back, and a tint of light pink on his cheeks.

I tiled my head at him questioningly, he looked away. Now I am really confused. Oh well, lets get out of this place first. Grabbing his hand in mine, I started to trek towards shore. Walking into the tunnel, allowing the glow of light to light our way.

Hiei POV

Where are we?

"We are below ground, in a magic circle. Need to find the source of magic and destroy it before we can escape."

"You read my mind."

"Well, you are so quiet. What you expect mi to do?" I saw a bright light flash and the place was lit. Sora must have done it.

"I am a sorceress you know."

"Stop reading my mind."

"If you start talking."

"I read THAT, and Kimiko does not HATE mi, I just love to annoy her. With the life she is living, that's the only way to get her to show other emotions."

"What you mean?"

"You people really dun noe ANYTHING about her, dun you."

"Hn."

"You have no idea what life she went through."

"Then, tell mi."

"That's not my place to tell, but I can tell you that the reason she loves to play is because, through play she can get her emotions out and at least forget the pain she had experienced…."

"What pain?"

"Now you are talking. Go ask her if you really must know."

"Hn."

Yusuke POV

Of all the people, im stuck in this black pitch with an idiot.

"Hey, light us a light with your spirit sword."

"Okay. Where do you think we are?"

"Underground."

"WHAT! I CAN'T BREATHE!"

"BAKA!" hitting him outside the head. Taking out the communicator.

"Botan, Botan!"

"Yes!" the reply was very fuzzy.

"Get us out!"

"Yusuke! You are in a magic circle. Find the magic source and destroy it, or else you are stuck there forever." The toddler voice rang through. Before I could ask what it looks like, the communication went died.

"KOENMA! KOENMA! DAMN!"

"What are we going to do now?"

"Find the source." We started forward into the tunnel of darkness.

Kurama POV

When Kimiko bumped into mi, Youko escaped for a second and hugged her. I am so embarrassed.

# What's so embarrassing. She's so soft. #

`Youko! You hugged her without her permission.'

[Ya, that was kinda rude.]

# She dun seems to mind at all #

[He's right, she din't push us off….]

`She looks confused'

# Then let mi out, I can teach her what love is. # he suggested seductively.

` You are NOT teaching her ANYTHING!' shoving Youko into a cupboard with chains going round and round, tossing the cupboard into the endless pool of water. Faint thumping on the cupboard wall could be heard.

Kimiko POV

I like his hand, it's so warm. And it feels so nice to be with him. It has been a long time since I feel so nice. What's this feeling?

"So Kimiko, can you tell mi your story?"

Should I tell him? Should I trust him? What is trust? I lost its meaning long ago when she died. I looked into his eyes. They were so sincere. I think, no I will trust him. I will show my trust to him.

"If you dun want to tell mi, I understand." He solemnly said. Does knowing about mi means so much for him?

"No, it just that…."

"…Here this will be an easier method." I hugged him and leaned into his chest. Closing my eyes and inhaling his sweet scent of roses and wildflowers. I gave him my memories.

When it ended, he hugged mi even closer to himself. His chest rose as he took in my scent.

Kurama POV

I saw everything, each and every pieces of her life memories even those when she was Kagome. She looks so fragile, and I wanted even more to protect her from harm, but I noe that she is very strong as well. A beautiful and precious gem. I hugged her closer to mi and she relaxed into my arms. She smells so sweet, I will never get tired of inhaling her scent. I leaned into her ear and told her what my heart yearns to tell her since I first saw her.

"Kimiko, I love you. I have fallen for you since the first time I saw your photo." She tensed. I hugged her even closer to mi, burying my nose into her soft silky hair.

"You…. love mi?"

"Yes. Trust mi. I will love you forever and protect you forever." I looked at her in the eye

to show her I meant every word that I said.

"Dun you accept mi?" my voice was laced with sadness.

"No, it's just that. I lost the meanings of trust and love long ago…. when she died."

"Then, I will restore that trust and love for you. If you allow mi, that is." I couldn't be happier when she nodded her head. I dripped my head to kiss her, tasting her sweet lips. They tasted as good as they looked.

"Now I have to tell you something about mi." I gave her my memories of Youko and suichi.

"Hmm… I like you as suichi."

"Youko says hn." She giggled at that comment. They sound so pleasant to my ears. I engulfed her into another hug.

"He sounds like Hiei."

"What's wrong?"

"That's something you need to know as well…" looking at her in the eye again to show that im serious.

"What is it?"

"Hiei loves you as well."

"He does? No wonder he is always blushing." She mussed over this point and smiled warmly at mi.

"So…" she asked.

"So you have to choose, you want mi or him." Not that im pressing her, but I really want to know the answer.

"Can I choose both?" she asked innocently, tiling her head slightly.

"I dun mind…. sharing you with him. But do you mind being shared by two guys."

"Nope. The more fun the better!" she said cheerfully as I growled.

"Only with Hiei!"

"Okay! Both of you are like the day and night. So I dun mind!"

"I hope Hiei doesn't mind."

"I dun think he will mind that much, as long as Youko dun get too possessive."

"Youko dun mind as long as he gets you."

"What can I say, he is a kitsune?"

I smiled at that comment knowing full well what she meant. I knew every secret of hers and she knew every secret of mine.

"You aren't telepathic right?"

"No."

"Oh okay then." She leaned in and kissed mi on the lips. I felt warm engulfing mi. I was about to kiss her back when she stepped away.

`So how is Youko in there?'

`That's good'

# You can hear mi? #

"Ya."

"What did you do?"

"I bonded you to mi, you dun mind do you?"

"Of course I dun mind. Its anything that I can ever ask for."

"Come on, I can feel the magic ahead. Lets destroy it and get out of here."

Hiei POV

How I wish to rip out that voice box of hers. It's so annoying. Now I know why Kimiko was so annoyed about.

"I resent that."

"Hn"

"Well, HN yourself. Dun know how Kimiko put up with you."

"I dun talk as much as you."

"Hey! That's mean!"

"So you going to tell her?"

"Who?"

"Kimiko, who else."

"Tell her what?"

"Tell her that you like her." She said as she rolled her eyes at mi.

"Hn."

"I know you like her. So tell her. She's a little dense at such things."

"Hn."

"Suit yourself! I am just telling you that if you dun tell her sooner she may be gone forever."

"Why's that?"

"Look at her. How many suitors do you think she has?"

"… …"

"Lots I tell you. The number is going to keep increasing until she finds a mate. And maybe even after she has a mate the number may not decrease. She is so fought out for. For her looks and for her being the next he…."

"Next what?"

"NOTHING! Just tell her, okay. Dun lose a chance that you may regret. Or let her lose a chance that she may regret. She is not as strong as she looks like, she is fragile at times. Her heart and soul have not healed yet from injuries long ago."

"What are you babbling about?"

"There's the magic."

Yusuke POV

We ran into the tunnel and ended up in a brightly lit room. A round thing was floating there. Kuwabara, being the baka he was, went to touch it. The ground shook, I landed on all fours, when I looked up I saw the snake thing from before. This time it has that round thing on its forehead.

Kurama and Kimiko~~~~~~~~~~

Kurama POV

We entered a room; the servant of the elemental, earth was sleeping there. I was about to ask Kimiko's its weakness when I saw that she wasn't beside mi. I looked around the room frantically, and saw her near the snake. I looked on horrorstricken when she formed a blade like thing and stabbed the snake in its eye. The thing woke up and started to crash about. Crashing the pillars that support the ceilings as they came tumbling down.

"Nice going, Kimiko."

"No problem."

"Any ideas now?" as I jumped to avoid the crashing debris.

"Ya, seed it."

"Seed it?"

"Ya. Its body is earth. Plants can take its energy away. Then it will be reduced to soil."

"Okay." I took out a couple of seeds from my hair and tossed them to the creature. Upon contact, the seeds sprouted into weeds, entrapping the creature. Soon, the creature grew weak and was reduced to normal soil.

"Okay, lets get out of here." Kimiko took my hand and we stood in the magic circle and found ourselves to be outside again. The others were not back yet, only Botan and

Koenma stood there. Botan flew over to check us over. I ignored her, and hugged Kimiko. Blocking the whole world out as I inhaled her sweet, intoxicating scent.

Hiei POV

"Now what?" looking at the snake thing guarding the magic circle behind it. It's taking forever to destroy it; it kept regenerating its body parts. And Sora isn't helping at all, she forgot all about the weakness of this thing.

"Not my fault that im not as intelligent as Kimiko." forming a barrier to protect us against the attacks from that creature.

"Hn."

"I remember now! Plants. WE need plants to weaken it."

"You see any plants here." I said sarcastically.

"Well, I can cast some out."

"What are you waiting for?"

"No need to shout. Patience is a virtue."

I raised my katana, with every intention to kill her.

"Green as ever, roots buried deep. With the essence of earth, I call upon thee, come before mi."

Grass started to grow on the creature's body, forming it into a moving green field. With a swing of my katana. It collapsed. We stepped through the magic circle and were rewarded with the sight of Kimiko in Kurama arms. I could feel myself growling and I left. He took her. That fox.

Botan POV

They are back. I went over to look them over. But Kurama ignored mi instead he took Kimiko in his arms. I heard growling and saw Hiei staring at them with red tinted eyes, and then he disappeared. Could it be? Hiei likes Kimiko? I looked to Koenma Sama, and he looked just as shocked as I am towards Hiei's reaction to the two embracing couple, who were oblivious to anything around them.

Another flash and Yusuke and Kuwabara came back through the magic circle. They looked so upbeat compared to the others. Yusuke saw the scene in front of him and was about to shout at Kurama to release Kimiko when I hit him unconscious with my oar. Why ruin the moment for both of them. Maybe Kurama might just heal the heart and soul of Kimiko Sama.

Kimiko POV

I think I heard growling.

`You hear that?'

`Ya. Its Hiei, he saw us and left.'

`Should we go after him?'

#For what? #

`Youko, you promised.'

#…Fine go after him then. #

"Okay, ill see you people later." I said to the others and left to find Hiei.

Makai. Where Hiei is.~~~~~~~~~~~

After seeing the couple embracing, Hiei left to the Makai to kill his anger, sadness and frustration off. Anger that he never told Kimiko how he felt and let Kurama take the chance. Sadness that she had accepted Kurama. Frustration that Kurama is his friend and he hated him now.

Hiei POV

I shouldn't have fallen in love with her. I am the forbidden child. No one will love mi.

"Come out!" throwing my katana and sticking it to a tree. A shadow glided out, a person

in a black coat. Using my fast speed I cut it into half. But it has no effect on it. Sinister laughter rang high into the air.

"My dear forbidden child, I came in peace."

"Hn"

"I have saw how you lost Kimiko to that guy, that sly fox, using his charms on her. And making her his when you are not looking."

"Hn" charging to kill him but I could not move.

"I have no busy in harming you today. I came with a proposal for you to join us. Join us and share our power, u can then defeat that fox and calm Kimiko as your own. We may even help you cast a spell to make her forget everything and only know you. She will live to serve you and do anything you say. So how about it?"

Join them. What game are they playing at? The reward is tempting. I really want Kimiko, maybe I should take the offer and she will be mine and no one else.

"Hn. I will take the offer."

"Good, lets go meet the Lord." Releasing the spell that held mi to the ground. Opening a portal.
