A/N: Yeehaw! What a cliffhanger last chappie! Well thanks for the reviews, hope I can make this chapter an interesting one.
***Last chapter…. “Inuyasha, it won’t matter anymore. She will be mine and so will Testugia. It seems like you will be getting your wish from the past.” Sesshoumaru growled out with anger. “ Shikon no Tama, grant Inuyasha’s wish to be a full youkai!” With that the Shikon no Tama glowed a bright flashing light and disappeared.
Kagome suddenly realized what had happened. She saw Inuyasha slump to the ground after Shikon no Tama vanished. Hesitantly she touched Inuyasha’s shoulder.
“Inuyasha?” she spoke softly.***
“Inuyasha, what’s wrong?” Kagome heard him growl slightly. Suddenly with a flash Inuyasha turned around grabbing Kagome by the throat growling harshly. His eyes were red with a youkai rage, and he had two jagged purple stripes on each side of his face. “In..Inuyasha you are hurting me. Stop it, Inuyasha I can’t breathe.” Kagome spoke in fear.
“Feh. What does it matter stupid human? I can smell the fear coming off of you. You think I am going to kill you here and now don’t you?” Suddenly Inuyasha threw Kagome to the ground with enough force she was temporarily stunned. She saw Inuyasha turn and face Sesshoumaru.
“Inuyasha, don’t touch her again you crazy mutt! Your fight is with me. I am going to take back what’s mine and rid this place of your disgusting presence! See this Kagome, how can you love this beast? He can’t even control his own youki.” Sesshoumaru barked out.
With sudden speed Sesshoumaru was in front of Inuyasha slashing him with his poison claw. Inuyasha screamed in rage from the attack and took the defensive. Clawing back towards Sesshoumaru with all the rage in his blood, he could not hit his brother.
“You troublesome fool, do you think you could actual best I, Sesshoumaru? You know not what it means to be a youkai. Look at you! All you want to do is kill! You haven’t even noticed that you have harmed your own mate!” That said, Sesshoumaru snapped his poison whip at Inuyasha, striking his face, watching the skin sizzle.
“You bastard! I would never mate with such a thing! It is you who wants this pathetic human, take her for all I care! Yet you won’t be alive long enough to enjoy her!” Releasing Testugia, Inuyasha attacked Sesshoumaru with Kaze no Kizu. Used to the common move and having superior speed, Sesshoumaru quickly evaded the attack. Pulling out his own sword Tokijin he slashed at Inuyasha, but his brother was too fast and blocked his swing with Testugia.
Kagome sat completely in fear from what was happening and began thinking all sorts of questions. Did Inuyasha not recognize his own mate at all? Was he truly that mad with blood lust, that he hated all humans and youkai alike? Why isn’t Testugia holding back his youki? It was because of this wish made upon Shikon no Tama. It did not apply to the swords power. (How could Sesshoumaru do this! How dare he! He knew what would happen when Inuyasha lost control, he is dangerous like this. He would not stop killing until he died, or everything in his path died. I must stop this.) With that final thought, Kagome brought herself off the ground. The two brothers were slashing and growling with each other fiercely. Both had wounds from one another’s claws or sword by this time. She could not let this happen! They would kill each other! Grabbing up her bow and quiver she carried at all times, she took aim towards them and raised her voice with a suppressed rage coming out of hiding.
“INUYASHA! SESSHOUMARU! STOP!”
Suddenly both of them turned their heads, panting, and surprised at the sudden anger radiating off this miko. She had a pink aura around her as she glared at both of them with a look of anger that would make even the strongest youkai shake.
“Kagome, look at him. LOOK! He does not even care you are his mate, he would kill you given the opportunity…” Sesshoumaru explained. This was an unexpected turn of plans. He thought she might realize she would have to possibly kill off Inuyasha and his madness, but not him as well. Where was this energy coming from too?
Inuyasha noticing his brother’s distraction, turned and swiped Sesshoumaru’s stomach with his blood claws. “Stupid brother, taking your eyes off your real opponent. When did you ever become so weak as to need a human?”
Gasping Sesshoumaru was surprised by this attack, he felt his own rage setting in. There was no way in hell he would let this hanyou be the better of him. He had to protect Kagome, even if she hated him for this, Inuyasha needed to die.
“Die Inuyasha!” Feeling the rage come in completely he attacked his brother in all out hate. “Die you bastard!”
Suddenly an arrow shot in between them, stopping both from reaching one another. Sesshoumaru’s red haze started to disappear, as he turned to her in wonder of what she was thinking. (That stupid woman! Doesn’t she know I am only trying to do what’s best for her?)
Inuyasha smiled with madness and turned to the woman. With unbelievable speed, he reached Kagome and knocked her to the ground.
“What chance did you think you had against me? I will rip you to shreds at that foolish attempt!” Inuyasha raged into Kagome’s face. He lifted his claws and brought them down harshly, but before he could hit her throat, she rolled and he was knocked off balance from behind. From those actions, he only managed to slice deep wounds into Kagome’s back, while she screamed out in pain. Turning in his rage, he stared at his brother, whose wound was dripping with blood, he could taste it practically. It was a satisfying feeling and he wanted to see and taste more of it.
“Fight me Inuyasha! You waste!” Sesshoumaru’s eyes were blood red, and his youki almost out of control from the image in front of him. He wanted his revenge, but he may have made a mistake. When he saw Inuyasha about to kill Kagome, his control snapped. Fighting on the ground together, each brother put out their best, using their claws and even teeth to overcome the other. Both were bleeding from several severe wounds.
Kagome was on the ground crying from the pain in her back. With some unknown strength she forced herself to up to her knees and turned to see Sesshoumaru had pinned Inuyasha beneath him. She watched as he was ready to sink his claws into Inuyasha’s heart.
“STOP!” Kagome cried out, but it was too late. Sesshoumaru had sunk his poison claws into her beloved’s chest. With a feeling of despair she ran despite her pain, to Inuyasha’s side.
Feeling Sesshoumaru pull at her from behind, he said. “He is dying. Get away from him Kagome, he may still reach out to hurt you. Let him leave this world alone. Do not mourn him, he would have killed you given the chance.” He tried to drag her away from his bleeding brother, but suddenly he was thrown off by some force.
“NO! I will not leave him! He is mine! He will not leave me!” Kagome said with such emotion. Sesshoumaru looked up and noticed, the pink aura around her was even brighter and larger.
“Inuyasha! Please hear me. Inuyasha!” Kagome pleaded, and saw when he opened his eyes, they were still red with blood lust. She could hear him growling under each desperate breath, and felt him try and get up.
“Inuyasha, please. Its Kagome. You must hear me. You need to control your youki. Please Inuyasha.” Kagome started crying. (No, no this can not be happening, we have finally found ourselves together. We have finally admitted our love! I can not lose him!) Gathering the injured Inuyasha into her arms, she cried, and cried. “Inuyasha, please come back to me. Please Inuyasha. I love you.”
Inuyasha felt this intense pain searing through him, but it was not from his wounds. It was from something else. He could hear that woman crying over him. (Why would she cry? I tried to kill her.) Suddenly he heard her whisper… ‘I love you’. A sense of warmth tugged at his heart. (What’s happening to me? Why do I feel close to her?) Opening his eyes, he saw her leaned over him, a pink aura radiating off her body surrounding him. He could feel his wounds starting to heal already. (Was this from that simple girl? Did she grieve the loss of me that much she would use her powers to save me?) He reached out to touch her, to see if she would flinch in fear. When he grabbed her shoulder, she looked over at him. Tears streaming down her face. The wind blowing through her hair. She did not fear him. All he could sense was warmth and love radiating off her body. When the wind blew her hair away from her neck, he noticed marks. His marks…mating marks. This was his life mate. He loved her! This was his Kagome!
“Ka…Kagome?” Inuyasha whispered. “Wha…what happened to me? I remember Sesshoumaru, then this sudden rage. It felt so dark and alone. I heard your voice, and I was trying to reach it. I was trying to escape that darkness.”
“Inuyasha! You are okay!” She looked into her love’s eyes. They were no longer filled with a red haze. They were back to his normal amber color. Although his purple streaks were not gone, he looked and acted like her Inuyasha. She grabbed him suddenly, hugging with all her might, not wanting to let go.
“Oi, Kagome. I still have wounds you know.” Inuyasha winced. He put his arms around her when she loosened her hold and began sobbing into his chest.
“I thought I was going to loose you. I didn’t want to lose you. I needed you Inuyasha.” She sobbed even more. Inuyasha stroked his hand through her hair and whispered loving words into her ear that he was alright. That he would never leave her because of how much she loved him. Kissing her forehead, they heard a low snarl in the background.

Watching Kagome bent over his brother, Sesshoumaru tried to get near her and take her off of him. She would get hurt if he decided to use the last of his energy and attack. Yet every time he got closer to her, the barrier from her miko powers got stronger. He heard everything she was saying to his brother. Heard the anguish in her voice, and could smell the tears she was shedding. Despite her own physical pain, she seemed to be healing him as well. The scent of death was fading from Inuyasha’s body. When he heard Inuyasha’s voice call out Kagome’s name, he was in shock. (Could she love his brother so much, that he could be brought back from madness and the brink of death?) Still now unsure of what was happening, Sesshoumaru saw her barrier collapse as Inuyasha started holding her close and whispering into her ear. He walked over and snarled at the way she grieved over what happened.
“Kagome. Let me up Kagome. I have to finish this with Sesshoumaru.” Inuyasha said to his life mate, while staring at the plain jealousy and hate in his brother’s eyes. Kagome turned to stare up at Sesshoumaru. She was tired of this needless fighting, she almost lost Inuyasha from this. Standing up, without care that she was still bleeding from the wounds in her back, she stood in front of Sesshoumaru and slapped him across his face with all her might.
“Bastard! How dare you! He almost killed me because of your jealousy and stupid need for revenge!” Kagome huffed at the youkai in front of her. She was not afraid of him at all when he growled towards her for the slap and insults. All she wanted to do right now was tear him apart for what he did to Inuyasha.
“Do not ever strike me again woman! I would kill anyone else for such an insult! How dare you question me of my reasons for this, YOU are the one who ran away! YOU are the one who made me feel for you and left me alone. YOU are the…” Suddenly in his rage Sesshoumaru noticed something different about her. Her scent was different. A grim smile set on his face.
“What? Why did your high and mighty argument stop Sesshoumaru?” Kagome antagonized.
“Hmm, I see now. Inuyasha. You may keep your mate. There is nothing I can do now that you have marked her. I will be back though. You are pregnant my dear Kagome and even though you have mated with Inuyasha. That pup is mine.” With a knowing smile, Sesshoumaru left with incredible speed despite his wounds by Inuyasha.

Collapsing on the ground from exhaustion and pain, Kagome sobbed into her hands. She felt Inuyasha’s arms come up around her and whisper into her ear.
“Come Kagome. We have to get your wounds taken care of. I am sorry for hurting you. I love you so much, and would never do it on purpose. This is all Sesshoumaru’s fault.” He picked her up into his arms bridal style and carried her back to the village. She was so exhausted and confused, he could tell.
“Kagome, everything will be fine. If it is the pup’s health you are worried about, I can tell there is nothing wrong. You are fine, the pup is fine, I am fine thanks to you.” Inuyasha noticed she cried even harder then.
“Tell me Kagome, what is it? What is wrong with you?” She looked up at him with such despair then.
“He wants our pup Inuyasha. He wants to take my pup and there is nothing I can do if it is his. How can he do this? He said he cared about me, but he is putting me through all of this misery. I don’t want him to take our pup. I don’t care if it is his or not. I want to be a mother.” Kagome sobbed harder at the thought of Sesshoumaru taking her pup.
“He won’t take the pup Kagome, it is mine. I know this.” Inuyasha said to comfort her.
“You don’t know that Inuyasha! The night I most likely became pregnant, I was with both of you only hours in between. You don’t know!” Suddenly from all the exhaustion taking over, Kagome passed out in Inuyasha’s arms.
A thought of dread did come to him from her revelation though. He didn’t know if it was his pup or not. If by chance the pup was Sesshoumaru’s, his brother had every right to take the pup no sooner than it was born into this world and raise it. He knew Kagome would be heartbroken from this. Yet there would be nothing they could do. They could always have more pups in the future, but she was so happy about this one. (The pup is mine! It can not be anyone else’s but mine!) With that final thought in his head, he continued his way back to the village. In the upcoming months, he knew he would be in for a hell of a ride. He had to keep Kagome safe and healthy. He had to figure out a way to make her fears of his brother coming to take the pup to disappear or she could hurt herself and the pup from too much stress. (Damn you Sesshoumaru. This is all your fault. You say you care about her, but how could you, if you want to take away her first pup, no matter who the father is?)

OOOhhh, I hope this chappie was good enough for you folks. I am not very good at fight scenes to be honest, so I am just praying it was suitable. Alright well until Chapter 14. Everything is getting interesting around here. Sesshy finally saw with his own eyes, the power of Kagome’s love for Inuyasha. Unfortunately his youkai nose, also noticed her pregnancy. Who is the father of her pup anyway? Ta-at for now.

“Kagome, everything will be fine. If it is the pup’s health you are worried about, I can tell there is nothing wrong. You are fine, the pup is fine, I am fine thanks to you.” Inuyasha noticed she cried even harder then.
“Tell me Kagome, what is it? What is wrong with you?” She looked up at him with such despair then.
“He wants our pup Inuyasha. He wants to take my pup and there is nothing I can do if it is his. How can he do this? He said he cared about me, but he is putting me through all of this misery. I don’t want him to take our pup. I don’t care if it is his or not. I want to be a mother.” Kagome sobbed harder at the thought of Sesshoumaru taking her pup.
“He won’t take the pup Kagome, it is mine. I know this.” Inuyasha said to comfort her.
“You don’t know that Inuyasha! The night I most likely became pregnant, I was with both of you only hours in between. You don’t know!” Suddenly from all the exhaustion taking over, Kagome passed out in Inuyasha’s arms.
A thought of dread did come to him from her revelation though. He didn’t know if it was his pup or not. If by chance the pup was Sesshoumaru’s, his brother had every right to take the pup no sooner than it was born into this world and raise it. He knew Kagome would be heartbroken from this. Yet there would be nothing they could do. They could always have more pups in the future, but she was so happy about this one. (The pup is mine! It can not be anyone else’s but mine!) With that final thought in his head, he continued his way back to the village. In the upcoming months, he knew he would be in for a hell of a ride. He had to keep Kagome safe and healthy. He had to figure out a way to make her fears of his brother coming to take the pup to disappear or she could hurt herself and the pup from too much stress. (Damn you Sesshoumaru. This is all your fault. You say you care about her, but how could you, if you want to take away her first pup, no matter who the father is?)

OOOhhh, I hope this chappie was good enough for you folks. I am not very good at fight scenes to be honest, so I am just praying it was suitable. Alright well until Chapter 14. Everything is getting interesting around here. Sesshy finally saw with his own eyes, the power of Kagome’s love for Inuyasha. Unfortunately his youkai nose, also noticed her pregnancy. Who is the father of her pup anyway? Ta-at for now.
