Last Time:


"What!?" Inuyasha shouted and he turned on the volume. There was half a plane in a cornfield and the other half was on the screen, but farther away. He looked at the plane and prayed it wasn't the one Kagome was in. The lady came on to announce the news



"Here on the screen you are seeing a plane that has crashed. The flight was heading for Nevada from Japan. Flight number 895 has crashed and seeing from the ruins, it seems that probably no one has survived. We will be back with more on this horrible news"



Inuyasha started at the TV wide eyed and with tears streaming down his face

'That's the flight Kagome was on' Inuyasha thought 'she died again and this time, she won't come back to me'


Chapter 28: Everything Lost



Inuyasha fell to the floor. His back against the floor, his golden eyes lost, and he was lost into what he felt like a pit of pain that never would end. His mind went blank as his little daughter rushed to her father


"Daddy, daddy please wake up!" Sakura begged her father. Inuyasha just started at the inside of his eyelids. "Daddy, this isn't funny! Please, wake up!"


When he didn't respond Sakura grabbed the phone and pressed the number two button, which was Serenity's house number. Serenity picked up the phone


"Hello" said Serenity


"Auntie Serenity! Something is wrong with daddy!"


"What? What's wrong sweetie?"


"He saw a plane crash on TV and then he fell on the floor. He's crying, but his eyes won't open and he won't answer me!"


"Don't worry baby, I'll be right there"


"Hurry Auntie!"

Sakura placed the phone back on its holder and raced back to her father's side. She shook him and cried into his chest.


"Daddy, please, please, please wake up and don't leave me alone"

"Have you found anyone?" asked a policeman with a flashlight


"Nah, I doubt anyone could-"


"Help" someone whispered. They both gasped and rushed over to the source of the voice. A little boy with dark blue hair and light brown eyes was with things on top of him. "Please, help me"



"Don't worry son, we'll get you out"


They got the little boy out and a pink flash caught their eye. They went over to find a girl, a little boy, and a man cuddled up together. The man opened his eyes


"Shit, he's alive! Get him!" shouted one of the police guys as they started to help him. He grunted and looked at his sister and her son.


"Kagome" he managed to say "Wake up"


"Who are you?" one of them asked.


"Souta Higurashi" Souta whispered and his head dropped again. He lifted his head once more and spoke "Save Kagome and Kye"


The policemen nodded to each other and took the three bodies out of the plane.


"John, the kid is a demon!" on of them said. The police, now addressed as John looked at his companion


"What the fuck did you say Larry?" asked John


"The kid has dog ears and fangs" John answered. John examined Kagome and put her in an ambulance along with Kye and Souta.


"They were badly hurt, but I don't know why the hell we just put two on the brink of death people on an ambulance" said Larry

Serenity barged through the door with Kouga right behind her. Sakura was lying on top of Inuyasha, crying her little heart off. Kouga picked her up and she snuggled against him.


"Uncle Wolf, daddy hardly breaths" Sakura cried "Is he dead!?"


"No Sakura, but what happened?"


"That" Sakura said pointing to the TV screen. Kouga's eyes laid on the little boy covered in blood that was being placed on an ambulance.


"Fuck, that's Kye!" Kouga shouted. Serenity saw the screen as her eyes went wide. Sakura saw her brother and screamed at the top of her lungs.


"No, Kye is dead! The plane was mommy's and now they are dead!"



Serenity leaned over Inuyasha. "Yashie, wake up. Please, what are you doing to yourself? You have a daughter to take care of!"


Slowly, Inuyasha's eyes opened and he jumped into a sitting position. His mind registered what just happened and he broke into tears again. His wrist had a bracelet with the other half of the heart. He cried into Serenity's shoulder. Her arms went around his chest and nuzzled his neck. His arms were locked around her body and his teary face was on her shoulder.


"She was taken away from me! I can't believe we fell for that! I should've gone with her!" Inuyasha shouted. Serenity closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She whispered


"Yashie, I'm here. Take it all out of your system"

Inuyasha grabbed her arms and pinned them at he sides with almost all his demon strength. Serenity closed her eyes tightly from the pain. His claws went into her arms as he cried and shook her roughly.


"Kagome, why did you have to leave me?! You promised to be back in my arms in two weeks, but you died! Kagome, why did you have to go! I hate Naraku and whatever god is out there has obviously forgotten everything about me!" He looked up at the ceiling tightening his grip on Serenity "I HATE YOU! YOU TOOK KAGOME AND MY SON AWAY FROM ME! I HATE YOU WITH EVERYTHING I'VE GOT"


Sakura saw the blood dripping from Serenity's arms and she got out of Kouga's grasp. She ran towards the twins


"Daddy, let go if auntie Serenity! Daddy, your making her bleed!" Sakura cried gripping onto her father's arms. Inuyasha blinked a few times and he snapped back into reality. He let go completely of Serenity and she grunted a bit, but smiled at him.


"Better?" Serenity asked. Inuyasha nodded, but tears still rolled down his cheeks. He got up and picked up Sakura


"Sakura?"


She cried for her uncle, mother, and brother "They are dead!"


"Don't worry, we'll find them Sakura" Inuyasha said hugging his little girl 'I've got to be strong, for Sakura's sake'

~Inuyasha POV~


My head is constantly running in circles. Ever since then I have searched day and night to try and find her. Sesshomaru helps be the most because he has connections and people that work for him. After a week of searching, she came into my life to help me. I had been in my office with Sakura since she got sick. She was sleeping when Sesshomaru came in with a girl behind her. I looked at him with one of my brows raised. He set a folder on my desk and sat down with the girl on the other seat. The girl that was with Sesshomaru had waist length red-orange hair and her eyes were violet. I took the folder and skimmed through it. My attentions was turned to my daughter when she began to cough and whimper in her sleep. I went to her and took her into my arms


"Sakura, sweetie are you ok?" I asked my baby girl. Tears spilled from her closed eyes and she reminded me so much of my precious Kagome. Sesshomaru stood up and asked me while walking over to me


"Is Sakura alright?"


"I think so, maybe just a nightmare" I said. Sakura's eyes slowly opened and she jumped up, wrapping her small arms around my neck. She cried into my shoulder


"Daddy, the dream again" she cried and I remembered. Yes, a dream that had been haunting my seven year old child for a month now. I would wake up with her screaming in the middle of the night. She never wanted to talk about it, but I swear that today I'll take it out of her.


"Tell daddy what the dream was about" I insisted. For once, she nodded her head and cried


"I saw mommy on the plane. An-and then I saw mommy looking at the pilots and she screamed at uncle Souta that I couldn't hear. There was no sound, but just movements. A lady dressed in blue came to her and tightened her seatbelt and then mommy cried. I saw Kye wake up and mommy hugging uncle Souta. The ladies came around with plastic bags and mommy put her necklace in it, but she kept a broken heart bracelet and her ring. She hid it under her sleeve and took her shoes off. I saw the lady trash the shoes into the bathroom and then she spoke and sunk down to the floor and just cried. Mommy screamed as she took Kye and shared a seatbelt with him. Then, the big plane shook and mommy clung to uncle Souta. It began to shake and then it fell from the sky. I didn't hear them, but everyone has screaming and holding hands. The plane hit a cornfield and broke in two pieces. It burned as mommy hit her head on something hard and she cried. Kye's hair was practically all red and mommy fell asleep as a big explosion came and I woke up. Daddy, I felt that shake that the plane did and it was I was there" Sakura cried even harder. My eyes went wide as I realized the bond that Kye and Sakura had. My baby girl was dreaming what Kye managed to see and as the days go by she'll probably hear the sounds of the plane. Before I even realized it, I had a sleeping Sakura in my arms. Sesshomaru's eyes also were as wide as mine and he took a deep breath. Finally, Sesshomaru introduced the girl to me


"Inuyasha, this is Kyara Yashima and she'll be helping you find Kagome" Sesshomaru said. She helped me, but I felt really uncomfortable around her. She keeps giving me weird looks and sometimes she even flirts with me. She tried to take my bracelet for 'evidence'. Evidence of what!? The plane crashed and Kagome died. Now, what we want to know is what the hell happened to her. Souta hasn't called and I'm sure Kye isn't dead for Sakura has the dreams that are engraved into Kye's memories. I'm not going to give up. I finally realized that I got to Sakura's school and she jumped into my arms as she waved her teacher goodbye.


That was about seven years ago. Yup, I've been searching for Kagome for fucking seven years. The nightmares still haunt Sakura and for seven years it gets worse. The screaming on the plane, she can hear it now. Wounds that Kye had, she gets through her dreams. Not as bad as Kye's, but it's still there. Luckily though, she hasn't had the dream for about a week now. My baby girl is now fourteen years old. If I do find Kagome, she would still look young. I never explained to her that since she was my mate, she would age as slow as I do. Sakura's silvery locks on her bangs give her uniqueness and everyone in her class admires that. Even her teacher asked me if they were real or it was just hair dye. We came up to our lonely house and we ate our ramen. I smiled a bit more and Sakura was very cheerful when I did. That night, Kyara was coming over to help me find some more information. We have a lead on where Kagome could be, but we have to make sure. Sakura's hair grew out and it reaches a couple of inches above her knees. She kissed my cheek and went up to her room when the doorbell rang. I opened it to find Kyara smiling at me.

"Hi Inuyasha" she says. She was the one that gave me the weird feeling, Kyara. I faked a smile and let her in. Sakura never liked her. We sat down and when we were done she turned to me. My eyes narrowed at her


"Inuyasha, I have to tell you something" she said. I nodded a yes "Umm...I-I-I love you!"


I gasped and looked at her with dark eyes. She noticed and took my hand in her own


"Please, let me make you and Sakura happy. You know Kagome would've wanted the best for you and your daughter. It's been seven years and it's time to move on! Please, give me a chance. I love Sakura and I've fallen in love with you deeply Inuyasha. Let me show you" she said as she leaned in into me. My body was still absorbing what she said and I felt her lips upon mine and I was about to react when

"When off my daddy you bitch!" Sakura yelled. I figured my daughter was about five feet, five inches. She would grow more, but right now her slim arms grabbed Kyara and yanked her away from me. Kyara looked at her in shock for her choice of words while Sakura looked at her with a face ready to kill. Kyara smiled warmly and spoke


"Sweetie, your daddy and I are going to be together and maybe I won't replace your mommy, but I'll be the best one I can" Kyara said. Sakura stepped back and shook her head. I was still sitting on the couch staring at Kyara for her lie.


'When the fuck did I agree to be with her!?' my mind screamed. Sakura got in her face


"You will never have my dad! He only loves my mom and she loves him! She is alive and I know it, but you will never come into my dad's house saying that you want him because he doesn't love you! HE ONLY LOVES MY MOM!" Sakura shouted "Dad WILL find her and they WILL be together again! I hate you, you've ruined everything! GET OUT OF MY DAD'S LIFE!"


I stood and took Sakura and hugged her, her face crying on my chest. Kyara got up and stood in front of me with her eyes pleadingly for a chance for my love. I took a deep breath.


"Kyara, you really are a great person, but I can never be with you. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't. My heart belongs to Kagome and only she will ever have the right to kiss and touch me the way you just did. She will be the only woman I say I love you to as more then family, but as a lover. I like you, but only as a friend. You will find someone that loves you just as equally, but I'm not the one. I have a daughter to think about and believe it or not, Sakura is right. Kagome is the only person that I've treasured since we were kids, she is and will always will be the only one I truly love" Inuyasha said "Now, I'm sorry, but I think you better go"


"Why would I go? What's wrong can't control your hormones and you're just afraid of losing control? I know you want my body and you can have it. With love or without, I'm yours" Kyara said. I made a face of disgust


"What are you? Desperate? Didn't I just say I didn't want you, that I only wanted Kagome? I have no desire whatsoever for your body. I don't lust for you Kyara and I never will. Now, get out of my house, of my life, and I never want your help again. I'll find Kagome with Sesshomaru's help" I said as I opened the door for her. She stepped out, but said

"If you eve want me, I'll be waiting"


"I already said I didn't, so deal with it"


Now, I drive down the road and towards my job. My heart is shattered and I can't help but fear that my precious Kagome is dead.


'Please Kagome, come back! I need you'


~End Inuyasha's POV~


The white hospital room glowed from the lights. Seven years since the plane crash, seven years since they were there, and seven years since his mother hadn't awoken. After the plane crash they had taken her to the hospital where she had gone into a coma, but since then she never awoke. Souta sat on the couch with the sleeping Kye next to him. Kagome's body lay on the hospital bed with her eyes closed and tubes connected to her body. Souta grunted, but opened his eyes. Kye whimpered and grunted in his sleep.

'The nightmare must be back' Souta thought. Seven years that he never once contacted Inuyasha. Seven years since the little boy had suffered the accident. Kye had grown up and was now fourteen. He never once wanted to leave his mother's side. He ate, slept, and practically lived in that hospital room. The only reason the boy left the room was to go to school, and bathroom. Kye opened his blue-gray eyes and yawned. His hands brushed over his black side bangs. His silvery mane long and reached a couple of inches above his knees. His white dog ears twitched as his hands scratched over his scar. Souta smiled and greeted the boy as he looked at Kagome's sleeping form. Kye made his way to his mother and kissed her cheek


"Good morning ma, when are you gonna wake up?" Kye whispered. He brushed his clawed hand over her hair and lightly brushed his hands over her face. He sighed and turned around as he heard movement behind him. Kye turned around and saw his mother's eyes open slightly.

"Mom! Come on, open your eyes" Kye pleaded. Kagome's eyes opened fully as she saw the boy hovering over her. She felt her body stiff and could barely move. Kagome blinked a few time


"Uncle Souta! Mom woke up!" Kye cheered. Kagome, with much difficulty and Kye's help, sat up. She looked around and looked at Kye.


"Who are you?" asked Kagome as she finally registered something 'Where am I? What happened? And who in the world am I!?'

"Ma, it's me, Kye. I'm your son" Kye said gently. Kagome gasped and touched his face lightly and asked


"Who am I?"

Kye's eyes widened as Souta made his way towards them. He kissed Kagome's cheek and stood next to Kye.


"Mom, don't you remember? You're Kagome Tsuroka" Kye said


"Ka-go-me, I like it" Kagome said "What happened?"



"Mom, don't you remember anything? Dad, Sakura, your friends, uncle Souta, our home, and about yourself?" Kye asked hopefully. Kagome looked down and grabbed the bed sheets


"No" she chocked out. She spotted the bracelet on her right wrist and saw the broken heart. Kye hugged her


"How could you forget about us? How could you forget dad?"

"This is pretty!" Kagome shouted looking around the apartment. Kagome had indeed forgotten about everyone. Kye sat on the couch looking out the window. Kagome sat next to him and she looked like she did when the accident happened.

"Who is your father?" asked Kagome. Kye looked at her and really wished he had his father's eyes. Maybe that would help her.


"Dad's name is Inuyasha Tsuroka and my twin sister's name is Sakura" Kye said. Kagome thought for a minute


"Inu-Yasha" Kagome said "What does he look like?"


"I have a picture mom, lemme get it" Kye said and rummaged through his bag until he found the small photo album. He handed it to Kagome as she looked at the first picture. The picture was taken on the park.


"That was the day when Elizabeth invited you guys to the park" Kye said as he started pointing at the people in the picture "These are your friends. Sango, Miroku, Rin, Amy, Shippo, Kohaku, Koharu, Elizabeth, and Kouga. This is you when you were just informed you were pregnant. That's dad's twin sister, Serenity. This is uncle Sesshomaru, uncle Souta which is also standing right behind you. This is Inutaisho and Azuki, dad's parents. This is dad and as you can see, you're standing next to him."


Kagome looked at the picture and at the boy that Kye said was dad. He had a navy blue shirt on, is silver way ran down his back, his golden eyes looking at the camera just barely, his head turned to the side with his nose in the air, and his arms crossed over his chest. He looked mad. Kagome turned the page and saw a picture with four people on it.


"This is us, when it was your birthday. We're at our home in Tokyo. This is dad, you, me, and my twin sister Sakura"


There were stairs in the background. Inuyasha was sitting Indian style with Kagome on top of him. Sakura and Kye standing at their sides. Kagome smiled at the picture and turned the page. She gasped


"That's the day of your wedding mom" Kye said. She and Inuyasha were standing in front of a beautiful fountain together. Inuyasha's hand wrapped around her waist and their fingers linked together. She smiled and turned the page. She giggled at the sight


"I took that picture outside" Kye said. Inuyasha was sitting on the ground with Kagome standing behind him pulling on his ears. Inuyasha had a mad face on with Sakura jumping on next to him. She turned the page again.


"Dad said that picture was when you were in high school" Kye said. Miroku was carrying her bridal style. She was waving her arm and Inuyasha stood next to Miroku with a pissed off face on. She turned to the final picture and she smiled warmly. Inuyasha was sitting with sitting Indian style. His hair was pushed to the side, Kagome's chin was on his shoulder, her arms were wrapped around his chest, his hand on her arm, and he was smiling. His golden eyes shinned in that picture. Kagome smiled again and touched Inuyasha's face in the picture.


"Mom, I think it's time to call dad"


'But, I don't know if I'll learn to love this man again' Kagome thought 'Yes, I might have been in love before, but know I don't even know the guy'

"Hello" Sakura said. Inuyasha was eating ramen while working on his laptop.


"Uh, is Inuyasha Tsuroka there?" Kye asked from the other side.


"Who's speaking?"


"I have something to tell him, please, it's about Kagome"


Sakura gasped and ran with the phone in her hands. "Daddy, the guy says it's about mom" Inuyasha grabbed the phone and spoke into it


"Hello"


"Dad?"


"Who is this?"


"It's Kye"


"Kye? Where are you?"


"Listen, we're coming back" Kye started "Dad, mom just woke up from a seven year coma. She doesn't remember shit and you're a complete stranger to her right now. All of us are and she just accepted the fact that I'm her son. She has to learn to love you again and we all have to help her. She's a clueless girl that doesn't remember anything at all. Do you still live where we used to?"


"Yeah"


"Ok, we'll be there soon. Bye dad" Kye said and hung up the phone. Inuyasha dropped the phone and dropped to his knees. He stared blankly at the couch.


'She forgot and maybe now, she won't even love me anymore! Its official, every god out there fucking hates me. My Kagome is alive, but her heart isn't mine anymore'
