'If he didn't have some of the black hair and had golden eyes. I swear he would look just like the guy in my dreams' Kagome thought. She took his hand and they got off the plane.

"Hey, were is Souta?" Kagome asked.

"He said he was going ahead to get our luggage"

"Oh"

"Come on, we're going home to see Sakura and dad again" Kye said "Don't worry, I promise you'll fall in love with dad again. You have to, your his mate" Kye pointed at the mark. Kagome smiled

"I hope so"


Chapter 30: Learning to Love


"OUCH!" Sakura yelled as her butt came in contact with the edge of the wooden table. Then, she fell completely onto the rugged floor. Sakura rubbed her sore spot and looked up to find her cousin looking down on her. Sakura continued to rub her butt, but her cousin extended her hand to help Sakura get back on her feet. Sakura accepted her hand and the older girl pulled her up effortlessly.


"Uh, thanks Ayame" Sakura said smiling. Ayame smiled back at her "No problem, Sakura"

Ayame was older then Sakura. Ayame had waist length straight raven-black hair. Her bangs were like Sesshomaru's, but her expression was soft like Rin's. She had not marks at the side of her cheeks, but she did have the blue crescent moon on her forehead. Her golden eyes were only a bit darker than Sakura's. She had amazing hearing skills even though she didn't have demon ears, but she still had some demon features. Her fangs and claws stuck with her, but she didn't have that much speed. She was strong, but not that much. She smiled at Sakura


"Come on, Jimmy will be here soon and you know how he gets around us" Ayame said pulling Sakura into the living room. The entered as the others came into view. Inuyasha was sitting on the leather couch, Sesshomaru was next to him, Miroku was on the other side of Inuyasha, and Rin was talking with Sango who carried a precious cargo within her. Sakura was nervous about seeing Kye again and Ayame smelled it.


"Don't have to worry about seeing Kye, Sakura. I'm sure he hasn't changed so much." Ayame said. Sakura sighed and nodded.


"Yeah, but I still get the feeling that he won't be the Kye I remember"


"Maybe, but always-" Ayame stopped as the doorbell rang. The girls sighed and got ready to face their younger cousin. Inuyasha got up and opened the door. Serenity, Kouga, and their nine year old son, Jimmy stood in the doorway.

"Hey, come in" Inuyasha said "We're still waiting for Elizabeth, Amy, and Shippo"


Serenity nodded and stepped inside. She hadn't seen Sess in a while to. He got up and greeted his younger sister. She smiled happily.


"Sess!" Serenity shouted as she ran into his arms. Her smiled and hugged her back.


"How are you little sister?" asked Sesshomaru. Serenity looked up at him


"Fine, you?" Serenity asked. The nine year old boy saw the two teenage girls standing there and he ran off to them.


"Ayame, Serenity!" Jimmy shouted while running to them. His midnight hair pulled up into a high ponytail and his deep blue eyes shinning. The exchanged glances and sighed as he threw himself on them, knocking the three of them to the floor in the process.


"Ooof" Ayame and Sakura said in unison. Jimmy sat on their legs and smiled. They got up and greeted each other.


"Come one, come on, I wanna play outside!" Jimmy shouted pulling Ayame and Sakura with him. They had no choice, but to follow. Back inside, Elizabeth arrived with her tummy swollen. Serenity gasped when she saw her, but had a BIG smile on her face.


"Oh, Lizzie!" Serenity shouted hugging her friend "Your pregnant!"


"I know, but I always said that I wasn't gonna get pregnant. Hmph, look at me now" Elizabeth said. "The best part is this" Elizabeth pulled her shirt down a bit to reveal a mating mark. "I'll live as long as you guys!" Serenity smiled even more. Serenity smiled and hugged her again. Elizabeth came inside, but no one was there.


"I betcha Jimmy took them all outside for a feature play. He loves to play around with Ayame and Sakura." Serenity said. Elizabeth made an 'o' with her mouth. "Anyway, where is your mate?"


"He couldn't come, but he sent you all a hello. Normally he would come, but his job held him up" Elizabeth explained. Inuyasha came in to the living room and saw Elizabeth. He smirked and leaned against the wall.


"Would you look at that" Inuyasha started with a smirk "Miss. I never gonna get married and have babies, is pregnant" Inuyasha sniffed a little "Oh, and she mated with a demon"


Elizabeth rolled her eyes "I missed you to, Inuyasha"

Inuyasha hugged Elizabeth, but kept the smirk on his face. "Wipe that smirk of your face!" Elizabeth yelled "I swear, after I give birth I will beat your ass at something and regain my title"


"Yeah, try. I let you win last time" Inuyasha said. Elizabeth got on her tip toes and tried to reach face level with Inuyasha. "Still short, Elizabeth." Elizabeth grunted and grabbed his shoulder and pushed him down to be face level with her.


"Well, I will beat you and this time it'll be far from a tie" Elizabeth said. Inuyasha stood his normal height again and smiled.


"Your on"


"Fine" Elizabeth said. She sighed and placed a hand on her once flat tummy. She gave Inuyasha a child smile "Could that wait four months?"


"Uh, sure" Inuyasha said. Everyone came in with Jimmy in the front.


"Uncle Inuyasha! You missed my play!" Jimmy shouted. Inuyasha put on a fake sad face.


"Aww, but you'll show me later right?" Inuyasha asked. Miroku smiled.



"Actually, I think he could put on a private show for you" Miroku said. Sango elbowed him on his side "Oww!"


"Ignore him, Jimmy" Sango smiled. Jimmy nodded "I'm gonna go play video games downstairs! Come on Ayame and Sakura!" Jimmy shouted happily pulling the girls along. Sango saw Elizabeth behind Inuyasha and smiled.


"Elizabeth!" Sango shouted. Elizabeth smiled and stepped out from behind the hanyou.


"What the fuck? I didn't know you were behind me" Inuyasha growled


"Proves your getting rusty" Elizabeth said and went over to hug Sango. Miroku smiled and walked over to Elizabeth.


"Hello, Elizabeth" Miroku greeted. Elizabeth let go of Sango and hugged Miroku. Miroku's arms went around her waist and slowly made their way to her butt. Inuyasha, Kouga, and Sesshomaru sighed.

"Here we go again" Kouga grumbled. Miroku's hand rubbed Elizabeth's butt. She turned beat red and let him go. Sango fumed.

*WHACK*

*WHACK*

Miroku rubbed his sore cheeks. Elizabeth and Sango both fuming.


"You never change do ya?" Elizabeth asked. Miroku shook his head and looked over at Sango.

"Sango, my love...I was just greeting Elizabeth and you know my hands have a mind of their own" Miroku explained. Sango took him by his ear and dragged him away from Elizabeth.


"I cannot believe I married you and accepted to bear your child" Sango grumbled. "What possessed me to do that!?"


"Uh, your undying love for me" Miroku suggested. Everyone sweat dropped and sighed.

"Never mess with a pregnant woman. Especially one with Sango's temper" Rin said to Sess. He nodded.

She bonked Miroku on the head several times.

*BONK*
*BONK*

"Mercy, please" Miroku squeaked.

*BONK*

In the end Miroku was on the floor...@_@


"Do you think he actually deserved that much?" asked Serenity. "Uh, you know Miroku was a reputation of being the ultimate pervert."


"Off the Miroku subject, but where the fuck is Amy?" asked Kouga. Everyone looked at each other and back at the door. They all shrugged. Inuyasha growled

"Kagome will be here sooner than-" The doorbell interrupted Inuyasha. He opened the door to find Amy. "About fucking time!"


"Jeez, control your fucking temper!" Amy shouted back at him. Inuyasha crossed his arms over his chest. "Feh"

Amy stepped in and smiled. Inuyasha finally got everyone's attention.


"You all know the Kagome situation. Anyway, we all have to help her get her memory back. We know Naraku keeps sending threats to us and I got an E-mail. It was a warning saying that we better keep an eye on Kagome and Serenity. Serenity, you remember that crystal?" Inuyasha said.

"Uh yeah. The miko crystal was the thing Naraku was after and it turned me into Syara" Serenity said.


"He has it, but can't unlock its powers. You could control the true powers Serenity and I'm sure he and Kikyo are planning something. He's been sending me E-mails saying that he's gonna posses Serenity do all the shit he wants. He also says that Kagome will be with him very soon. I have the jewel upstairs. Kagome sealed it with a spell, but Naraku is after that to"


"Ok, but why one Earth would he give you all the information?" Amy asked.


"I don't know" Inuyasha answered "He's a wako bastard and...I don't know why he tells me his plan."


"That's seems stupid" Rin stated.


"Yeah, you never want your enemy to know your moves" Sango said. She looked over at Miroku who shrugged.


"Maybe he just wants us to think that" Sesshomaru said. Inuyasha looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Maybe he's telling you to keep an eye on Kagome and Serenity, but what if he's after someone else"


"What?" Inuyasha asked. Elizabeth clapped her hands together.


"Listen, he's telling us to keep an eye out ONLY for Kagome and Serenity, right?" Elizabeth started. Inuyasha nodded. "Well, if all of do as he says then the rest of us will be unprotected and he'll be able to take who he really wants"


"If that's so, then who does he really want?"


"He despises Inuyasha" Amy said "Then...it must be someone that is close to him"


"Yeah, but we're all close to him" Miroku said.


"No, someone that is really close to him. He takes people that Inuyasha loves so he could hurt Inuyasha" Kouga said "If that is the answer than the person must be-"


"Hey! A taxi just pulled up in the front of the house!" Sakura said coming down the stairs. Everyone looked at her and Inuyasha gasped.


"No" Inuyasha whispered. 'That bastard is after Sakura! But just her wouldn't be enough. It's just not Naraku to take people, but it is him to make them have accidents and hurt them.'


"Inuyasha, Kagome is here" Rin whispered. He was knocked out of his thoughts when he heard Rin. He stood up and turned around to see Kagome and Kye standing by the doorway.

The taxi pulled up into the house.

"You sure this is the place, kid?" the taxi guy asked Kye. Kye stared at him

"Yeah, I live here"

"Sure you do" taxi man said "Don't you know Inuyasha Tsuroka and his daughter Sakura Tsuroka are the only ones that live in this place. His wife and son died seven years ago"


"Guess what? I ain't dead, but I have come home" Kye said and got off. "Come on, ma"


Kagome followed Kye out of the car. "Wow, this is a big house" Kagome whispered, but Kye's ears picked it up.


"Yeah, but this is home"


"Souta said something about his apartment right?" Kagome asked


"Yup, he said he'll drop by later"

"Oh"

They made their way up and they rang the doorbell. A short black haired girl opened the door. Her chocolate eyes shinning at them. She smiled and ran towards the living room. Everyone else in the house stared at the three of them come in. Kagome set her bag down and stood up just in time to see the man from the pictures.

'This is my husband?' Kagome asked herself. They stared at each other for a while before Inuyasha stuttered out.

"Ka-Kagome" Inuyasha walked over to her and stood in front of her. He felt tears in the corner of his eyes at her sight. Before he could let them fall he grabbed Kagome and pulled her in for a hug. His arms went around her waist and his face went to the crook of her neck. Nuzzling her and taking in her scent. Inuyasha smiled.


"Kagome, I finally have you back" Inuyasha whispered. Kagome felt his warm breath on her ear and shivered.


'I feel so warm and safe with this guy' Kagome thought. She closed her eyes 'Maybe I could learn to love him again' She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. Inuyasha finally felt her relax and he tightened his grip on her.


"I love you" he whispered. Kagome smiled, but didn't respond 'I don't know if I love you'


Sakura came back down with Ayame and Jimmy at her side. She saw her brother and smiled. She ran down the stairs and her long black hair chasing after her.


"Kye!" Sakura shouted. He turned when he heard his name and saw Sakura running towards him. He smiled widely and opened his arms to receive her. She jumped onto him as her arms went around his neck. He lifted her off the floor without and effort. One of his arms was on her back and the other was right below her butt. She started to cry into his neck


"I'm so happy you and mom are back" Sakura whispered so only his ear could catch it. Her put her back onto the floor and held her tighter.


"I swear I'll never leave you again" Kye promised. She nodded and her tears started to roll again. His chest let out a small rumble and he stopped immediately. He blushed

'Where the fuck did that come from?' Kye thought. Sakura looked up at him


"Can you keep doing that? I was enjoying it" Sakura said. He nodded and let out the small growl again. Sakura closed her eyes and she didn't even notice when her eyes closed and she drifted off into a slumber. Kye felt weight drag down a bit and looked at her.


"What the- She fell asleep!" Kye shouted. Everyone looked at him and Sakura was defiantly asleep. Ayame came next to him.


"How'd you do that?" Ayame asked. "She was fine when we were coming down. What did you do to her?"

Serenity came a bit closer. She looked at Kye, who had a puzzled expression on his face. She looked at Sakura who was still standing, but being held up by Kye. She snapped her fingers and looked at Kye.


"Might not want to leave her standing like that. It'll get uncomfortable for you in a while" Serenity started. Kye looked at her and sniffed lightly before smiling. He nodded and picked Sakura up bridal style.


"Why is Sakura asleep?" asked Miroku. Everyone shrugged. Inuyasha and Kagome looked over to Kye.


"Umm, Kye who are you holding?" asked Kagome. Kye looked at her with a solemn expression


"Mom, this is my twin sister. Sakura, remember?" Kye said. Inuyasha's face turned sad as he looked at Kagome.


"Right, the small girl from the pictures" Kagome said "She doesn't look small anymore" Kagome made her way to the sleeping girl and ran her fingers over her face and hair. She smiled and as she looked down at the girl. Sakura squirmed a bit and snuggled closer to Kye's chest. Kagome noticed her silvery bang locks and smiled.


'Kye has these, but only black' Kagome thought. "Uh, how'd she fall asleep?"


"Yeah, everyone seems to ask that question" Kye responded. Inuyasha smiled and made his was over to Kye. Kye looked up at him and smiled.


"Hey, dad"


"Hi, Kye" Inuyasha said. 'I would hug him, but he's holding Sakura and....'


"Yeah, uh tell us what you did to her" Serenity said. Kye looked at her.


"She was crying and then I felt something rumble in my chest. I stopped, but she told me to continue. So, I tried again and it just came like naturally. Next thing I know, I felt her weight come down and when I saw her she was asleep." Kye explained. Serenity smiled and looked over at Inuyasha.


"When you have a connection, like a twin sister. For example, Serenity and I have the same connection as you and Sakura, but only stronger. Anyway, if the twins are male and female the male always has a natural purr that puts the female twin to sleep. You can use it anytime, but usually when the female is hurt or something. Like now, she was crying and your purred. It relaxes her first and then automatically puts her to sleep." Inuyasha explained. Serenity nodded


"When we were kids and I was scared, Yashie always used that on me" Serenity said. "Different pitches in a growl or purr mean different things."


"Oh, so if she gets annoying I could put her to sleep" Kye said with a smile. Inuyasha narrowed his eyes, but nodded.

'He should use that now that Naraku wants to hurt us' Inuyasha thought. Kye grinned and looked back at Sakura.


"Kagome, do you remember us?" Rin asked. Kagome shook her head in a no. They all sighed.


"Guess we better get started!" Rin shouted as she took Kagome's arm and dragged her into the living room.

"Gimme the remote!" Sakura shouted. Kye held it out of her reach as she pouted. "Your mean, you have the remote 24/7"


"Well, deal with it" Kye answered. Sakura crossed her arms over her chest and pouted like a child next to him. He chuckled and yawned. Sakura smirked


"Well, you shouldn't have been on the computer for so long"


"I was having fun"


"Doing what?"


"Reading anime stories"


"Hey, why didn't you call us for the past seven years to tell us at least that you were alive?"

"I don't know, every time we tried to call you something kept us away from doing it. We asked the hospital and the police to call you guys, but they said something always kept them away. Like someone was trying to make sure you guys didn't know we were alive"


"Oh" Sakura said. Sakura pouted and crossed her arms over her chest. Kye looked at her through the corner of his eye. He smiled and leaned his head against her shoulder.


"Good night, Sakura" Kye said and closed his eyes. Sakura looked down at him.


"What the- Kye!?" Sakura yelled. She heard his light snore and sighed 'He falls asleep fast. Oh well, might as well get some shut eye myself' Sakura thought and leaned her head against the couch. She soon fell asleep and Kye heard her breathing steady. He smiled and sat up straight. He yawned and shrugged


'Aww, now I'm really sleepy' Kye thought. He leaned his head back on Sakura's shoulder and drifted off.

Kagome sighed as she stared up at the ceiling. Inuyasha told her stories about when they were kids or about Miroku being a pervert. She giggled as she remembered the stories. She got up and decided to take a shower. She went into the bathroom and stripped herself from her clothes. She turned on the shower and stepped in. The warm water felt good on her skin.


"This is nice" Kagome said closing her eyes and enjoying the water running down her body. 'Hmm, Inuyasha is nice when he wants to be. Hmph, how on Earth did I end up falling in love with him. When he is nice he's so loving and caring. His tone of voice changes when he's just with me. It's not arrogant or cold, but sweet and gentle. Ok, maybe not so gentle, but I think I get the point.' Kagome smiled 'He hasn't tried to kiss me, but I don't I'm ready for that just yet.' Kagome closed her eyes again and breathed deeply. 'Sango is also really nice. Rin is nice, but Sesshomaru is a bit to serious. Their daughter is more like Rin then Sess, but she was her seriousness. Sakura is so kind and helping to me, even though I don't remember my own daughter. Miroku is just a plain pervert, but he is nice. Elizabeth is like Inuyasha, nice, but also keeps her pride up. Amy is nice, but she's also funny. Serenity is sweet, but when she gets mad, oh boy. Kouga is nice, but it's mostly because Serenity keeps him in check. Jimmy is hyper all the time. Then- What the?' Kagome was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt arms wrap around her waist. Her eyes snapped open she was about to scream


"It's ok, it's just me" Inuyasha whispered. Kagome relaxed a bit, but then remembered she was in the shower. She blushed 'Why am I blushing? I bet he's seen me plenty of times before, but I-I still don't know how I feel about him'


"Wh-What are you doing?" Kagome whispered. She noticed he was still clothed gave out a small breath of relieve. He didn't answer, but turned her to face him. He looked down at her and she looked up at him. His wet arms held her tightly against him. She put her hands on his wet shirt. Some of his hair clung to his face a bit and his arms. His dog ears twitched a bit and she smiled.


"Not embarrassed?" Inuyasha smirked. Kagome blushed, but answered


"No, nothing you've never seen before, right?"


"Actually, we mated when we were drunk. So..."


"Ahhh!" Kagome shouted and covered herself. 'We did that when we were drunk!?'


"I'm kidding!" Inuyasha laughed. Her face was red and she was trying to cover herself. The water poured down her body as Inuyasha stepped closer.


"Don't do that!" Kagome yelled. Inuyasha smiled and took her arms.


"Don't cover yourself from me" He said. Kagome turned her head as he stared at her. He embraced her again and placed butterfly kisses on her neck. Kagome shuddered 'What's he doing!? He can't do this, not yet! It's feels good though...wait, what am I saying!' Kagome felt her knees giving out and Inuyasha held her up. He kissed and licked his mark. Kagome held on to his shoulders and he leaned lower. He kissed her chest lightly and nipped on her right breast. Kagome closed her eyes as he took one into his mouth. He pushed her against the tub wall and continued his ministrations. His knee was between her legs and his hands rested on her hips. He heard her soft moan and smirked. He moved back up to look at her. Kagome opened her eyes slowly as she breath came out ragged. He suddenly put her back against his chest. He lathered her hair and rinsed it. Kagome silently allowed him to. When he was done he turned her back around. He leaned down and whispered


"My turn, Kagome"

Kagome nodded and washed his hair. The shampoo bubbles clung to his red T-shirt. Kagome rubbed his ears gently and he purred softly. She giggled and scratched in back of them. In return, Inuyasha's purr turned into a content growl. She smiled


'I think I'll fall in love with him. Right now, I feel something in my heart towards him. Not just his features, but the way he is' Kagome thought with a smile. When she was done he took of his T-shirt. Kagome's cheeks were tainted with pink when she saw his chest. He smirked.


"Like what you see?" Inuyasha asked. Kagome nodded and looked away. "I like what I see to"

Kagome placed her hands on his hard, yet soft chest. She felt the muscles relax and twitch under her soft touch. Inuyasha turned off the shower and handed her a towel.


"Come on" he said. Kagome nodded and placed the towel around herself. She stepped out and Inuyasha took off the remainder of this clothes. Then, he put a towel around his waist. They made their way towards their room and Inuyasha pushed her on to the bed. Kagome gasped, but Inuyasha placed himself over her. His silver hair made a curtain around them. Her black hair sprawled around her. He slowly closed the space between them as Kagome let her eyes close. He placed a soft kiss on her lips


'What am I doing!? I thought I wasn't ready, but it feels so right' He nipped her bottom lip for entrance. Kagome parted her lips a bit and his tongue darted inside her warm mouth. 'Screw it! I know my feeling for him before are beginning to take over me now' Kagome titled her head to the side to give him more access. Inuyasha finally broke the kiss and they were both out of breath. Kagome ran her hands through his hair and removed some of his bangs from his face. He got off of her and she placed her head on his chest.


"Tell me another story, Inuyasha" Kagome said. Inuyasha nodded


"What do you want to know?"


"Our wedding day" Kagome responded.

"Do you think we'll be able to get her?" asked Kikyo. Naraku nodded and held the once silver miko.


"Positive, don't worry Kikyo" Naraku started "We'll be able to play with his precious miko. Kikyo, I need Kouga back"


"He's not coming back, that girl he met in the alley changed him. She changed him so much and now he fights against his own half brother and sister." Kikyo said bitterly.


"We'll have him back" Naraku said.


"How?"


"We'll have a little fun with his mate and child" Naraku said looking into the water. He placed his hand over it and it showed Serenity and Jimmy. "Yes, for seven years we've been planning this and this time we won't fail"


"Do you think the E-mails worked?"


"Of course, they figured we were after Sakura. Of course she is ONE of our targets, but the girl that is so much like Inuyasha posses power to" Naraku said. Kikyo looked puzzled


"Who?"


"This one" Naraku said and placed his hand over the black water again. Elizabeth appeared on the water. "Clever girl, but it's her mate who I want to hurt"


"Who is her mate?"


"The son of the man who killed my father...five-hundred years ago" Naraku said bitterly. "His father and Inuyasha's father killed my father, but they don't speak of it anymore"


"I didn't know that"


Naraku grinned evilly "Serenity will be controlling this beautiful now black miko crystal. Now, I must get the jewel from Kagome."


"You know how?"


"Of course I do" Naraku said "You will meet the girl who will help me get the jewel tomorrow. Once she gets it I'll kill her and maybe she'll become my mate since Kagome refused. Yes, that girl will make a perfect mate for me" He placed his hand over the black water and Sakura appeared on it. "Inuyasha's daughter will be mine and her brother won't be able to protect her like he promised"
